We had the double chocolate, red velvet, and pecan carrot. The pecan carrot was far and away the best, the other two were okay. The chocolate desperately needed some salt. Was a fun stop after dinner anyway.

Disrespectful treatment On Monday afternoon, a group of friends arrived and we wanted to go in. A waitress from the place wearing a light green sweater came out to us, spat in our direction, said "Free Palestine" and went back in.

My friend and I were quietly speaking Hebrew. Without saying anything to her, the waitress approached us, cursed, and spat at us. We were shocked and hurt. There was no reason for this aggression – we strongly believe this was racially motivated. This kind of behavior is disgusting and unacceptable. We left feeling humiliated and deeply hurt.

We had delicious after-dinner cakes. Truly special and super friendly.

The waitress was extremely rude, cursed at us and even spat in our direction. This kind of behavior is unacceptable anywhere, and especially shocking in a place that serves the public. It’s a shame she acted this way, because the place looked cute and we were planning to sit and enjoy it. But if there’s no respect for basic equality and human dignity, we have no interest in being there. If you believe in equal rights for all, I strongly advise against visiting this place.

Terrible service! I ordered a coffee and a caramel brownie, but didn't get any. I waited over an hour and finally called—and was told, bluntly, that they'd "forgotten" it. How dare you? Treating a customer like this is outrageous. No apology, no solution, nothing. A complete money-grabbing scam. This was my first and last time. Don't waste your time or money here!

The packaging was terrible, cakes were missing and when we tried to contact the shop to enquire in order to contact the delivery service with more details, nobody had an idea about our order, took accountability or apologized for the mistake. Never order online from them again. Poor poor service

first one I’ve had that is served warm. Good size! Topping: nice butter cream not too sweet, hint of citrus Flavour: more cardommy than cinnamon but VERY tasty Texture: good layers, moist/soft and chewy.

Absolutely one of my favourite cafés in Amsterdam. Their cakes are so special , moist and flavourful. My absolute favourites are the red velvet cake with frosting and the sticky toffee pudding (this is really the best in the world !).A complete must do when visiting Amsterdam.

Had a team workshop making sweet and savory babkas. So well set up and accommodated, loved learning something new and then also get to take it all home to enjoy after. Would 100% recommend!!

Great place with very good pastries. The welcome could be even better and warmer in line with the type of place and the concept. At the service, kindness and politeness are essential but there is a shortage of napkins which are not spontaneously provided and the forks are really small for tasting certain cakes. These are little details that would make the experience even better! We’re glad we came! Super cool concept.

Pedí un pastel de cumpleaños de chocolate doble para un amigo. Ese fue el peor pastel que yo (y mis amigos) había probado. Estaba cubierto con toneladas de azúcar blanco, sin sabor a chocolate. También podías ver las absurdas cantidades de azúcar en todas partes del pastel. También estaba seco. Esto no era un pastel de chocolate, era solo una bolsa de azúcar blanco. A nadie le gustaba ni se lo comía en la fiesta de cumpleaños. 42 € por esta mierda. Además, incluso solicité en un amable msg “por favor asegúrese de que el pastel es delicioso”... todo tenía que ir a la papelera. Asqueroso 🤮 PD, preguntarme si te he pedido es extraño. ¡Sí lo hice! Adjunto pruebas... Las letras de la torta eran “Feliz cumpleaños Aneta” .. que btw se veía super feo también!! ¡Estoy extremadamente decepcionado!

I ordered a double chocolate birthday cake for a friend. That was the worst cake I (and my friends) had ever tried. It was covered with tons of white sugar, no taste of chocolate at all. You could also see the absurd amounts of sugar everywhere on the cake. It was dry as hell as well. This was not a chocolate cake - was just a bag of white sugar. No one liked or ate it at the bday party. 42€ for this crap. Also, I even requested in a kind msg “please make sure the cake is delicious”… it all had to go to the bin. Disgusting 🤮 PS asking me if I ordered from you is bizarre!!! Yes I did!! I attach proof..The cake letters were “Happy birthday Aneta” .. which btw looked super ugly too!! I’m extremely disappointed!!!!

Service was just way too busy, 2 ladies in a full shop doesn't work. Took 30 minutes before we even had anything on the table. Too long for a cake and coffee.

Cakes are delicious here, and this is the only good point. On Saturday it's supposed to open at 11, you arrive a couple of minutes before and the girl tells she's going to open at 11. You go back at 11:20, it's still closed. Service is very slow. I went at least 3 times around 15 for the cinnamon buns and they were already sold out, every time (maybe question yourself and understand that you should bake more?). If you sit on the first 3 tables close to the entrance, you're going to be terribly cold because the door keeps on being opened and not closed. It's a pity since the food is absolutely delicious, but everything else is definitely a NO

I think the concept is brilliant. A place to eat cake to accompany a lovely cocktail sounds wonderful. However, what you are left with is a place that serves medium tasting cakes, and cocktails that are undrinkable. We ordered a chocolate cake which was ok. We also ordered 2 pornstar martinis for 12.50 each. The girl behind the bar had clearly never made a cocktail before and kept grabbing a book to see how to make it, and walking back for advice from another staff member. We had finished the cake by the time the cocktail came and it was undrinkable. Sickly sweet, no passion fruit. We left half behind. Wouldn't go back.

I've had the coconut passion fruit cake, and it was delicious, really moist and flavourful. The caramel latte was also good. The only issue I've had was the dirty table. The table, especially around the plant on the table, was not cleared before the guests arrived because I went there right after opening, and it was barely prepared for the customers.

I recently visited this café in Amsterdam, and I was extremely disappointed by the service. The bill was €19.25, and the waitress, Philippa (a redhead), only returned €30 in change, keeping the remaining 75 cents for herself without asking. When I politely questioned her about the missing change, she rudely stated that it was for her. It’s not about the money—it’s the principle. The lack of respect and professionalism was shocking. Such a small amount, but it speaks volumes about the attitude towards customers. I do not recommend this place if you expect to be treated with courtesy and fairness.

While we initially enjoyed delicious desserts often and with great pleasure, the service deteriorates with each visit. For example, there are items on the menu that cannot be ordered, even though you visit on the days and times that the staff indicates that they will always have them. (happened 4 times) The staff appears to have absolutely no interest in your arrival. (Don't greet when you enter, don't say hello when you leave, and don't pay attention when ordering (in an empty shop). During our last visit we ordered a beer, but received the wrong beer twice. After indicating this, the beer was removed from the table, the cap was replaced and it was placed back in the refrigerator. Besides the next person being served a dead beer, this is also very unsanitary.

Very nice café in an area that is not overrun with tourists. The cake is exceptionally tasty and the price-performance ratio is also right here. By the way, I've never been so full after a piece of cake. The atmosphere is also great, nice and cozy and you have peace and quiet (which is rare in Amsterdam). I will come again on my next stay in Amsterdam.

We ordered two pieces of cheesecake, with chocolate and mango. Both were very tasty, especially with mango. Loose tea (English breakfast) was fine. It was relatively warm and dark inside, so we opted for a small table outside. The prices are okay for quality. We would like to come back!

Their Cheesecake was legendary. I can say it's the best I've ever eaten, especially with mango.

Arrived around 9 o'clock because we still felt like something sweet after dinner. It was quiet in the shop, but there were still plenty of delicious cakes!

Haarlemmerdijk location is a disgrace, atleast when I went there. You walk in. The place is dark and hot, no music. Barely any cake in the display case. 2 staff @ work, none of them greet me. I sit down, wait 4 minutes and staff just continues on with theyre chores. Ended up leaving after those 4 minutes. Spent my money at a cake shop down the street.

This was a huge disapointment. I saw the raving reviews and was looking forward to coming here, but one of the cakes was so bad we actually didn't eat it. I don't think I have ever left a cake unfinished in my life. To be fair the other cake (white chocolate cheesecake) was nice (but not like omg I need to have this again nice, just averagely enjoyable) and the coffee was decent too. The vibe is cute and the servers were friendly, but not very helpful (we actually asked whether that cake was a good choice and she said it was delicious. I would have prefered if she had just told us it's not the best and make a better recommendation). It also took forever until we were served while there was only one other table with customers at the time.

Quite a gem and I’m glad we found it. Was the perfect atmosphere for a catchup and a deep prolonged chat. The staff were amazing in facilitating this, friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu. It’s a such a wonderful street too, yet this cafe stands out somewhat even against that. Seems to be one of those places where everything on the menu is quite sensational. They take pride in their creations, that’s for sure. I’d love to try much more. The indoor seating is super comfortable. There are nice bathrooms inside, and they also take card for payment.

This place made my day. I had a hectic morning. I decided to stop in for a mood boost. Oh boy, was it good. I had the chocolate mouse cheesecake, and with one bite, my morning didn't feel so terrible anymore. Both the staff and owner were really nice and cared about the crisis I had just endured. I know it sounds like a cliché, but honestly, that cake changed my whole morning for the better. 10/10 would eat again.

I visited this shop on Wednesday, June 5th, arriving 30 minutes before their closing time, only to find that the coffee machine was already closed. The short employee girl working that day seemed unbothered by my presence and offered no explanation or apology for the early closure. It was incredibly disappointing to be denied a cup of coffee when I had made the effort to arrive well before closing time. The lack of customer service and professionalism displayed by the employee is unacceptable. Closing the coffee machine early without any consideration for customers is a clear sign of poor management and disregard for customer satisfaction. I left the shop feeling frustrated and will not be returning. I highly recommend the management address this issue to avoid further customer dissatisfaction

The young man was very friendly. The cafe was good. I can't judge the cake because unfortunately we didn't eat anything. We visited the café quite early, just as the goods were being delivered. But the young man still exuded such warm hospitality that we felt very comfortable there. And the young man also decorated the cakes himself and you could watch.

We were tired, thirsty and low on energy having mooched around Amsterdam all day when we stumbled across this cafe. It was exactly what we needed. Amazing cakes, beautifully brewed pot of tea in a copper pot, good music, friendly and helpful staff all with a smile.

Very tasty cake. I was there the last time I was in Amsterdam and had to go again this time. The dessert platters with accompanying cocktails are also highly recommended. The only thing I have to complain about is the service, as it takes a relatively long time to be served and the staff is not particularly attentive. Nevertheless, the staff is very nice.

The ladies working behind the bar are so kind, the atmosphere is amazing and kept us coming back and the vegan chocolate cake and cookies were great. The only thing that could be improved is the prices because adding oat milk to a cappuccino has an extra cost and the place is already pricey to begin with. Other than that, I recommend it :)

I highly recommend White Chocolate Truffle and Chocolate Mousse ones, they were both very tasty. The Banana Walnut Coffee Cake and Vegan Chocolate Cake weren’t quite my taste. While the Maple Pecan Tart was alright, I don't think it's a must-try.

Cake and drinks were tasteful. We ordered the cinnamon buns, however they did not have them. Sea salt chocolate cake was delicious as well as the lemon tart! Service was quick, could’ve been a bit more informed about the dishes/availability of sweets.
