What sweethearts work here! Today, Gaby and Maddy were literally so patient for an hour with my birthday cake brainstorming session. It's truly appreciated! Thank you, girls. I used to get the carrot cake here, and the red velvet cupcakes are also delicious. This time I went for the White Berry, so curious!

Majesteit Taart took care of our wedding cake. From the tasting for the choice of flavors, to the design together and the delivery, everything went great, but most importantly: the cake tasted amazing!

I go to Majesteit Taart quite often when I want to eat a comforting slice of cake. The owner works hard for her customers and you can feel the passion behind all this work. The customer experience is always a pleasure because the team is adorable.

I’ve ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday. The cake came with a total different colour from the picture in the website (off white vs turquoise). I’ve called to complain, and after a lot of pushback they accepted to do something about it. But the proposed solutions was merely to try to make the color lighter. We had no time for this and no confidence that it would get any better. Taste was plain, nothing special. Very disappointing experience.

In addition to cakes, Majesteit also offers a delicious high tea, with a nice mix of savory and sweet snacks. Everything is freshly prepared and served stylishly, making it a real treat. What makes this bakery extra special is the atmosphere. It feels homely and personal, without any fuss. Whether you take something with you at home or enjoy it on the spot with a cup of coffee, you always walk out with a smile, while Amhari looks on approvingly and cheerfully. In short: a place where craftsmanship and friendliness come together. Definitely worth a detour!

This is a really nice place and the cake is always delicious, but I am sometimes really surprised at how small the pieces for takeaway are, especially when you pay 7 or 8 euros for them. I recently received a piece that was actually smaller than a quarter of a cupcake and for which I had to pay 7 euros. I thought it was a mistake, this is the third time now. It's almost ridiculous!

The pastries are always top notch. Only during yesterday's visit things were a bit messy. Collapsed sidewalk tile just in front of the door, messy tables in the room because there was a large box, paintings crooked... Too bad for this beautiful place, but I will definitely come back for the delicious pastries!

We bought a very nice red velvet cake for our son’s birthday. Cake was firm and moist and crème not too sweet. Perfect for us!

A really cute place with delicious cupcakes and cakes. The owner is super sweet and the staff super friendly. For the gluten-free folks among us, they have lots of options!

A little while ago I had a delicious afternoon tea at Majesteit with my mother! We received a warm welcome from the ladies, they are incredibly friendly ☺️. The afternoon tea consisted of a combination of savory and sweet treats, accompanied by fresh tea that tasted particularly good. We really enjoyed it!

I think the cake is on the expensive side, but that's pretty much everything these days; the taste was fine. The service took a bit long but they are friendly.

UPDATE: they contacted me and it was resolved quickly and professionally. Very nice , will definitely reserve some other time as I know their cakes are super tasty! Canceled my reservation on time , called for a refund. It has been a month and I still don’t have my refund. Tried calling but the line is always busy.

Small cafe on the main street. Nice interior and has a couple of small tables. Popped by to get some cakes to take out. We got red velvet, carrot cake, 2 cheesecakes, and a chocolate cake. The red velvet cake was decently moist, but i couldn't taste much cream cheese flavour from the frosting. The cheesecakes were ok but not cheesy enough for me. The chocolate cake was surprisingly nice, it was light and the chocolate wasn't too sweet. Prices were a bit on the priceir side for cakes but nornal considering its a cake shop - though considering the location, it's a bit pricey. No prices are shown when ordering or by the cakes, but considering the total we paid, they were around €6 per piece.

Placed an order for mini funfetti vegan (!) cupcakes for my daughter's 3rd birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it! They were a great success! 😍

Fantastic store all round. I've not been in their shop but I've ordered online and the vegsn and gluten/sugar free cake was unbelievably delicious. For a reason I had to make 2 phone calls and they were very helpful. I'll be ordering from them again for sure!!

This place is so nice, and as a photographer I always recommend it to my clients for wedding celebration, anniversaries or anything else. Even after moving out of Amsterdam, it's still my go to spot whenever I crave for velvet cake, cause that's the only velvet cake that I approve :D

For my birthday, my daughter had booked a high tea for 4 at noon. We arrived 10 minutes early. They came to give us the tea menu. Once chosen, these were served. 30 minutes later, the waiter came back to ask if we wanted more tea, but as the shelf with the sweets was not yet served, we waited. Fortunately, because the food was served at 12.55. Almost an hour of waiting even though we had reserved. We were all disappointed by the high tea itself. Nothing extraordinary (example: white bread with cucumber and boursin), little, and too expensive for what was served to us. The owner came to apologize for the delay, but afterwards....

Yesterday, I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a cake shop and was immediately impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Despite it being a last-minute Sunday at lunchtime, the shop lady greeted me with a warm smile and a sprinkle of humor. When I noticed there weren't many products left, she kindly offered to whip up a lemon curd cheesecake on the spot! She made it in few minutes and it was really delicious. I recently had high tea here with a group of 4. We really had a nice time! First we got to choose all kinds of tea flavors and they had super cute vintage tableware. For dinner we got sandwiches with two flavors: herb cheese with cucumber and hummus mix with arugula. We also got savory and normal scones with jam and clotted cream, cupcakes, pasties, macarons and truffle balls. We really liked everything, especially the cupcakes are something to come back for😋. Our favorite tea flavor was the smile of majesty. The place is nicely decorated with all pastel colors, our table was nicely covered on arrival and the staff was also friendly and helpful. Definitely worth repeating for us and highly recommended for others to come here!

I bought a cake from them in September. It was super smooth ordering on their website - I just had to show up on the pickup date, and everything was ready! Also, the shop itself is pretty and the ladies behind the counter were very nice. Below the cake (I made the marzipan figurine myself, so do not judge their decorating skills on that!)

We had made reservations for 5 adults and 3 children for a baby shower at 2:15 PM. When we arrived, we were not expected and in fact we could not sit there at all with 8 people. But with a little effort and a table from outside, it just worked. We chose tea. More than an hour and a half later we received three pots of tea. We were allowed to choose 6 but we never had the others. They were big pots, the girl said. (So ​​lots of water). At a quarter past 4 the food arrived on a broken tier that I unscrewed otherwise it would fall over. It wasn't much and the scones were very dry. There were also sandwiches with thin hummus and arugula. And with cucumber and cream cheese. Small (not home-baked) muffins, a pink macaron (because it's a girl). That and the pink saucers were the only decorations. If you look at the website, you get a completely different impression. The girl who helped us was a sweet girl. She apologized continuously. The boss just had a baby and the baker was sick. She had only worked there for 1.5 months. Too bad about the baby shower, too bad about the 150 euros... it really wasn't worth it

We had a baby shower high tea here. Everyone was allowed to choose a flavor of tea and it was not replenished (you had to pay extra for that) and because we were with 11 people (too large a group?) some had not even had their tea. Tea sometimes came in a teapot and others got a cup. Girl who served us was unable to explain everything properly and answer questions. The contents of the high tea were sparse. Savory snacks: 2 small rolls and a very small puff pastry snack. 4 sweet snacks, 2 of which are “bites”. This cost us €27.50 per person. Child was included but did not have tea. We only found out later. Definitely not worth the money for this experience. The flavor of the cupcake was good but the rest was disappointing. I recommend that you have a high tea or baby shower somewhere else.

Ordered before 12 noon and picked up the next day. I was a little skeptical because it was quite short notice, but the cake was ready the next day! Fantastic. The tastiest cakes in Amsterdam. Everything authentically made from scratch. Lots of tasty choices such as a double chocolate and super tasty red velvet, always a friendly smile and a nice chat. At every celebration, time for Majesty and often in between and very quickly if necessary. Easily ordered via the webshop!

I have been getting birthday cakes here for 2-3 years when someone in my family has a birthday. They are incredibly tasty and I don't think they are too expensive. The owner is very sweet and the employees are also very sweet. No negatives! ❤️❤️

Prachtige taarten winkel. In de morgen even langs gefietst, uitgelegd wat ik graag wilde en 's middags opgehaald. Hij was top! Je kunt ook online bestellen. Echte aanrader!

Super lekkere taarten en behulpzame mensen in de winkel, we hebben hier onze bruidstaarten laten maken en die waren prachtig en lekker! En ook al vele jaren de verjaardagstaarten voor ons gezin 😋. Dank jullie wel!

Prima taart maar helaas wisselt het aanbod nooit en worden de stukken steeds duurder en ook nog eens steeds kleiner. Had laatst echt een heel klein stukje chocolade taart voor meer dan 5 euro. Ga nu toch maar ergens anders heen.

Top taarten! Bekend sinds 2017, en zowel de eigenares als haar vriendelijke collega's zijn zo gastvrij en oprecht attent. Afgelopen week heb ik 2 red velvet taarten besteld met daarbij glutenarme, suikerarme en lactosearme brownien cupcakes. Als je ze al eet, je proeft gewoon de liefde en ik ben blij dat ik mijn ervaring met 20 goede vrienden van me kon delen 🥰🥰🥰 Blijf zo doorgaan!

Great bakery and coffee shop, with a very nice service and ambiance. The chocolate cake was super. As reference, 2 coffees, chocolate cake slice and a cupcake 18€. Totally worth it!

Ik heb de chocoladetaart en de karamelcheesecake geprobeerd. Het was heerlijk. Eenmaal binnen ruik je het heerlijke brood. De medewerker was aardig. Ik kom nog een keer terug.

Echt de allerlekkerste Red Velvet Cake in heel Amsterdam!!! Sowieso alle taarten zijn zalig hier 😍😍😍 Het fijne is dat alles goed in verhouding, wat ik bij veel horecagelegenheden toch wel mis. Vaak zijn die taarten toch massaproductie taarten heb ik het idee. Hier niet! Het hele proces volgen vanwege de open keuken. Ik kom je al een paar jaar en ik blijf altijd terugkomen 💖💖💖

De lekkerste taart van Amsterdam. Ik raad aan passievrucht tartelette met koffie!

Wauw wauw wauw! Ik was nooit een fan van red velvet maar wat ze hier verkopen is echt ONWIJS lekker!!! Taart is totaal niet droog en ook niet te zoet. Ik ben super blij dat ik jullie heb gevonden

Dit is honestly de beste cake shop in Amsterdam of zelfs het hele land! Heeeerlijk taarten. Ik kom hier al bijna zeven jaar! Hun red velvet taart is TO. DIE. FOR! Maar sinds ik vegan ben kom ik we graag voor de turtle cake. Een heeeerlijke deep rich chocolate cake met noten en karamel. Oh my! Ik geef mezelf zin. Ik moet er snel langs. En de eigenaresse is echt een top mens! Zo klant vriendelijk. Een dikke aanrader!

Heerlijke en goede kwaliteit taarten! De mensen in de winkel ontvangen je altijd met een glimlach en zijn erg behulpzaam. Ik ga er vaak even langs om gezellig een taartje te halen. Ga zo door!!

Absolutely Fantastic! My only regret is that I didn't find the shop earlier! I ordered cupcakes for my good friend's bachelorette party! The cupcakes really looked too beautiful to eat! Everyone was 'oohing and aaaawing' over how good the cupcakes looked and tasted. I bought a piece of chocolate cake! Again! The taste was amazing! I went looking on the webshop for the cake and saw that they sold a vegan chocolate cake. I returned today and asked if it was vegan! When they said yes, I was absolutely floored. Not only was it the best chocolate cake I ever had, it was was vegan! WOW!... Great job Gaby and team!! Your customer service and friendliness is truly a breathe of fresh air! Your cakes are amazing! I don't need to go anywhere else for cake!

Superrrr lekkere taarten! Ik had paar dagen terug de carrot-cake besteld voor mijn zusje der verjaardag, maar vertrok uiteindelijk met nog een taart erbij namelijk de Red-velvet taart.. BEIDE TAARTEN SUPERRR VERRUKKELIJK!!! 10 out of 10!

Al jarenlang haal ik iedere zaterdag hier een taartje. Altijd wordt ik ontvangen met een stralende lach en altijd is het weer smullen. Majesteit Taart maakt de Javastraat en mijn leven een beetje mooier.

Voor de lekkerste (vegan)taarten ,cupcakes en high tea this is the place to be 👌🏿👌🏿. Zeker een aanrader. Super goeie service altijd en de eigenaresse is een toppertje
