Unfriendly to customers, they should close down. Go to Apie instead of buying anything there.

I got two meat sandwiches there, and what a shame! The base of the meat was so small I couldn't even taste it properly. This location is definitely not recommended if you want a sandwich with any kind of sauce or meat, because they're incredibly careful not to overdo it. The sandwich was super cheap. This is the third time I've been here. Other bakeries do a better job, like the one in Oostzaan.

What an incredibly rude woman in the store. From everything it looks like she doesn't feel like it, she might as well stay home. If you ask a normal question you get a rude answer in return. I completely agree with the reviews about this place. Everything looked scarce ahaha you better go to the albert heijn next door

Just got 2 sandwiches with warm meat because the Albert Heijn was temporarily unavailable due to a fire alarm. I should have known, my impatience (the appie was open again right after I ordered) was punished, because it is the most bleak food I have ever put in my mouth. The lesson: be patient and trust your intuition.

This is the second time I can't get a baguette sliced because the slicing machine is clean. It's 2:00 PM and you close at 4:00 PM!

Delicious cod sandwiches, spicy chicken sandwiches, or chicken with ketjap sauce. And the staff is always very helpful.

Super delicious pastries. Much better than the Appie. The staff is super friendly. The bread is also delicious with a great texture.

Worst Bakery in Amsterdam, prices to the stars (9.80€ for 4 small breads and a box with 3 pieces of simple cake) frozen bread and very bad attitude from the workers: not a smile, not Thank You. They should be all fired. The bread is stiff and taste as frozen bread rewarmed. Impossible to eat so hard, like old. Terrible

Great staff, and always customer-friendly by M8. It's a shame the coffee rolls and cheese butterflies are so small these days.

Rude staff. It's three times more expensive than the Albert Heijn next door, but even at the Albert Heijn, you get better service. That brunette behind the counter can go on vacation indefinitely as far as I'm concerned!

Mediocre bread, and the lady who helped me was extremely passive-aggressive. Thank goodness she took the time for that. Next time I'll go to the Appie.

Reasonable quality bread. Coconut balls that are sold after the expiry date are special.

What rude and customer unfriendly staff. When you say "Good afternoon", no word back. Do you leave because they don't have what you are looking for at 3:30 PM and say "Have a nice weekend" and don't say a word in return. This tent could close better.

Big holes in the bread for years. Very annoying if you put butter or spreadable toppings on it. Something has been said about it before, but still nothing has changed. Slices are also much too thin.

That they dare to call this a baker. Everything comes fresh from the freezer. Bread from the Albert Heijn next door is of better quality.

My light-impaired daughter just wanted to buy bread and was made fun of for the second time. Apparently they find cheap workers more important than being customer-friendly. The third one, the blonde teenager who works there gets a taste of his own medicine. Because if you think you have to mock disabled people, you need a lesson.

So unfriendly staff can't smile. Taking orders is also very difficult, they have to ask 100 times what you wanted again, so uninterested staff. Very sorry.

I've gotten a sandwich three times for my commute. Each time, the rolls were old and soggy instead of baked. You expect to get a nice, fresh sandwich at 8:30. But today was absolutely out of whack. I paid €6 for a "salmon sandwich," but it was a day-old roll with nothing on it. You can't charge people €6 for this. I took two bites and then threw it away.

Most miserable service you can ever expect. High prices, low service seems to be the motto of this bakery. Never again!

A cappuccino costs €6.50, a hot chocolate €6.75, and they don't even serve it on decent plates. For that price, they're so cheap they give it to you in a cardboard cup. Not to mention the soggy, awful waffle for €15. I haven't had such a bad breakfast in ages, and on top of that, it was at that price! The surrounding area is full of cheaper, better-quality cafes!

I regularly buy unsliced Spelt bread at Jongejans bakery on Gelderlandplein, along with all sorts of other products. You have to be there early, because the bread lady likes to throw all the incoming loaves through the slicing machine as quickly as possible. You can't wait to get rid of them for the day... Convenience is key, the employee. I once asked if loaves could be left unsliced, but according to the women, there's only one solution: "You can reserve them by phone."... It's like buying a collector's item at PC Hooft instead of a simple loaf. Nothing bad about the bread, by the way, but for €7.80, you'd expect a bit of customer service. I went into the shop early this morning and, right next to the entrance, in an open display, picked out a loaf of bread. The always grumpy bread-for-slicing lady was already full steam ahead, chopping up the loaves. Just in time... While selecting, I touched another loaf and then placed the loaf itself in a paper bag directly across from the "joy personification," with the well-meaning remark: "Good morning, ma'am, you're so busy that I'll put it in the bag myself, can you please continue?" That didn't elicit a pleasant or friendly response. She suggested I wait a moment and she would put the loaves in a bag. Besides, "it was unhygienic that I had touched another loaf." That she herself, with the same Bolte hands without gloves, had just placed the loaves on the rack right next to an open door escaped her notice. A surly, unfriendly response, with an equally sourdough expression. Her colleague stood there and watched. Then I walked to the cash register to pay for the golden loaf. Where I had to wait 5 minutes, I suspect, as some kind of punishment. Is it worth being treated like this as a, until recently, regular customer? Well, no, today, Thursday, December 18th, is the last straw. It's time to shift the recurring purchases to 'Le Fournil' a kilometer away, but artisanal, half the price for a truly fresh loaf, with incredibly friendly staff who are about 10 times as busy and leave everything unsliced until the customer asks for a sliced loaf. That's how it should be: a bakery isn't a production facility where everything has to be rushed through yet still charges top dollar.
