Bar Bistro Bureau in Sloter-/Riekerpolder

We visited the venue for Watt events party with Miss Melera and Olivier Weiter for ADE 2025. Nice bar and dancefloor with rest areas. The party had great vibe and the organization was top. Thank you!

A restaurant in a place you wouldn't expect. Suitable for large groups, business dinners, or just for two. Especially in the summer when the terrace is open. The menu isn't extensive, but the food is delicious. The restaurant has a pleasant, modern atmosphere with plenty of space.

We went after play padel for a drinks because the bar downstairs was close. We asked to the bartender (the big and older guy) for the menu he said they don’t have the menu that nice because they had a big group. I totally understand that. After that he asked if we want to drink we order a coke and a glass of wine. He just put the coke on the bar, no glass no ice, literally no serve to the table. The guys didn’t look to busy, he went to smoke 3 times, with the door open and all the smoke inside the bar. When we paid we saw the bar very messy, glass on the floor since we arrive… I’m not sure if he liked his job, probably not but first things first. Especially when you are smoking and with your phone and you have the bar in that conditions… very far from bistro

I was there on October 2, 2025. Good atmosphere, quite busy. But there was only one server, and that young man had to do everything himself. It was truly scandalous. But he did a fantastic job, that poor guy. And the Hamburg I ordered wasn't ground meat, it was inedible. My colleagues' soup was also inedible. But the rest of the menu was good. PS. You had to wait a very long time for everything, which is understandable, there was only one server. 😵‍💫

A nice surprise and a lovely rooftop terrace, but the service, while friendly, was very slow and inattentive. Fortunately, the food was excellent, although much of it was already sold out.

The food was great, the staff were super friendly and everyone was really nice to our little daughter too.

Best 5 star rooftop bar in Amsterdam. Had great food and a top DJ, the atmosphere was great. Not in the best location but the whole atmosphere certainly played that away! All in all a great place!

Ended up here out of curiosity as a local resident. What a great place! Nice inside and a great (and large) roof terrace outside. DJ plays exactly the tunes you want at such a moment. I only had a drink, but will definitely come back!

Yeah! There is new management, and it shows! Nice service and good atmosphere. Had a nice time on the terrace last summer, but what a mess the service was then. We live nearby and this is a nice option to have a bite to eat outside but not have to go to town.

Enjoy sitting outside on the grand terrace on top of the building, with a view over Amsterdam. Very friendly staff! Definitely recommended to visit this once.

Excellent vittelo tomato and steak fries

Twice we sat on a sun-drenched roof terrace, the last time even with a campfire. I contacted the lovely manager about this the day before and he arranged this. Nice place, fantastic view. Even enjoy playing jeus de boules ;).

Location has potential, but organization is really bad. We were here on Thursday, September 26 at 7:30 PM. Almost all the food was sold out. The employee said a bus of tourists had eaten everything. Later it turned out that this was not true but that it was a purchasing problem. So he had lied. We got Cesar salad without dressing. Just dry salad. When we asked about it they said they had run out of dressing. You don't serve that, do you? And how much effort is it to make an alternative dressing? There was a waiter (the one who lied about the bus tourists) who was very rude. One of the people in our group therefore wanted to leave immediately. Eventually an attentive manager came and tried to calm it down. She is allowed to stay, but she admitted that that evening they were rowing with what they had. Apart from one waitress, the staff was extremely inexperienced, dropped entire trays up to 3 times and the rude waiter even picked a fight with his colleagues and then played with his phone. The cappuccino really looked like it was made by a toddler, I don't need latte art but you do pay for something. It really sucked. The food that did end up on our table was really bad. Also because the kitchen did not have enough ingredients. But then you don't serve it, do you? Really very substandard and disappointing. Shame!

Yesterday we hosted a networking dinner from Bites & Business Amsterdam at Bar Bistro Bureau. Everything was just as perfect. We received a very hospitable welcome, sweet and attentive service and the food was truly fantastic and above expectations. Definitely recommended and we would love to come back.

3 beers and 2 soft drinks for 25 euros. Bizarre price. Service is also lacking We were asked to quickly finish our drinks well before closing time. Hospitality 0

Very tasty food and a good atmosphere. A top experience all around.

Today we worked all day and met in one of the B meeting rooms. The service from BarBistroBureau was very good, friendly and helpful employees. Super convenient to have lunch in the meeting room and continue to meet the deadline. Even the smoked salmon salad sandwich, which is highly recommended. The space itself is also grand and original. You can hold great parties here.

Kind of a bit of a weird place. Totally different than what you would expect from the pictures. We assumed it to be a nice location for a group of people offering a view and some modern cuisine. In the end it turned out to be a place without a view in the fifth floor of a generally kind of run-down building. The dinner menu only had four main courses of which the service knew nothing. For example when I asked what kind of fish is used for the dish called "Brandade" (the menu only specified "whitefish") the first response was "salmon". While the waitress came back on her own a few minutes later to then correct herself to "whitefish", she nonetheless completely blanked when I asked "What kind of whitefish exactly?". I think if the menu only has four main courses and charges €24.50 for a meal, the staff should at least know if the fish used for the course is for example cod or coalfish or seabream. And that was just one example. The "Brandade" itself was ok but the others having the burger weren't impressed and the one having the "Gebraden knolselderij" (a vegan dish) said it tasted pretty weird. All in all it was a kind of disappointing experience and the fact that the restaurant was mostly empty added to the overall atmosphere. The other restaurants we had in the days before and after (for example a Caribbean one, a brunch place and a Lebanese one) were much better and the service was way more professional. I am still giving three stars, because my food tasted at least ok and the service was friendly and at least tried. But don't come here if you expect a cool location with a view or really good food.

A very pleasant place with enjoyable atmosphere and a great view. It is a bit further away from the city center, but if you are around, it’s a nice place to drop by for a drink with friends, lunch or dinner.

Very nice, located in a quiet location. Nicely decorated. Friendly service. For me, someone with gluten and lactose intolerance were also options and you certainly don't have that often. So we definitely had a positive experience and enjoyed it immensely. The ladies at the service are also very good. Will definitely come back here again.

Bar Barista in Amsterdam is a great place with a beautiful roof terrace. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious.

It is nice to relax on the roof terrace. Lots of space and beautiful views. We had a drink there, but didn't eat so I can't say anything about that.

Leuke bediening,maar wel erg kleine hoofd gerechten.

Nice food, very slow service, rather overpriced. A bit run down as it's a recycled empty office block. I did not tip, because they charged for tap water. My rule is, if i ask for tap water and get bottled or they charge for tap water, I know they are just trying to fleece punters, so I treat them differently.

Top plek om, met grotere groep of bedrijf een feestje/etentje te doen. Top service en eten.

Het was ter gelegenheid van jubileum 75 jr. bestaan van de politievrijwilligers, met huldiging van meerdere collega's en uitreiking van erepenningen enz. Heerlijk gegeten, goede service met goede prettige sfeer.

Heerlijk gegeten! Eerlijke producten voor een eerlijke prijs. Goede en vriendelijke bediening . Locatie (binnen en buiten met groot terras) leent zich voor diverse uitjes: diner met vrienden/collega s in kleine en grote groepen, borrelen, lunchen, vergaderen en zelfs een game room (leuk om met je tieners naartoe te gaan). Aanrader!

Cozy place with a rooftop terrace, good atmosphere but it doesn't really reach its promise. The menu doesn't show any fantasy, tastes are average, service is average. While this is the nearest restaurant in my neighborhood, I will wait for a new menu or new original tastes in their dishes to surprise me and to want me to come back.

Dakterras is leuk, vriendelijk personeel, wel beetje langzaam, bestellingen gingen ook meer dan eens naar de verkeerde tafel, eten was van wisselende kwaliteit, voorgerecht (tom kha kai) was lekker, hoofd- en bijgerechten (schnitzel met krieltjes) niet zo, apart gezien dat juist simpel is zou je denken.

Ik twijfelde even of ik wel de juiste route volgde, want Bar Bistro Bureau wordt als restaurant niet aangegeven wanneer je het parkeerdak oprijdt. Á €2,- per uur kun je je auto kwijt op deze ruime parkeerplaats. Vanaf de parkeerplaats neem je eerst de trap naar beneden om vervolgens het hoofdgebouw te betreden en de lift naar de 5e etage te nemen. Bar Bistro Bureau heeft een hippe look & feel. Dat komt door de mix van vintage en industrieel. Iets minder zijn de neon linten die te pas en te onpas overal overheen zijn geplakt. Het deed mij denken aan een escape room “zombie apoclypse” waar ik ooit uit probeerde te komen. Het spel speelde zich af in een verlaten lab wat met net zulk tape was afgeplakt. Het terras is groot en is voorzien van vele tafels en een paar gezellige zitjes. Het personeel is vriendelijk en werkt hard, dus zeker een plus. Wat ook een plus was, was dat er maar liefst 6 damestoiletten waren. Jammer dat er maar in eentje wc-papier hing. Enfin, over naar het eten, hetgeen waar het echt om gaat. Het brood dat we vooraf kregen was heerlijk vers en goed van smaak. Zelden is brood in restaurants zo lekker dat er niets op of bij hoeft. Toch werd het brood geserveerd met olijfolie. Ik nam vooraf de carpaccio, die iets minder traditioneel is dan hij eruit ziet. Namelijk met Nederlandse oude kaas (goed gekozen!) courgette en ingelegde rode ui. Het vlees leek wel een lichte rooksmaak te hebben. Niet mijn favoriet, dus dat had ik graag op de kaart willen lezen. Verder zat er een zunig beetje saus bij, zonde! De kalfsschnitzel was lekker (crispy), maar niet bijzonder, zeker niet voor €17. Ik had liever ingeleverd op grootte en er iets van groente bij gekregen. Er staat overigens wel duidelijk op de kaart dat je friet en groente los moet bijbestellen. Prima plek om nog eens naar terug te gaan, maar dan neem ik de sukade, die zag er stukken beter en vollediger uit.

Het eten liet lang op zich wachten en uiteindelijk bleek dat de kok de bestelde kip niet vertrouwde en wilde uitserveren. 1000 maal excuses werden aangeboden. Het nieuw bestelde gerecht kwam erg snel en we hebben alsnog heeerlijk gegeten. Verrassing kwam bij afrekenen. Beide hoofdgerechten waren niet in rekening gebracht. Daarom een dikke, dikke prima!!!

Mooie plek, goede bediening .. vond het eten matig; geen vlees wat van het bot afglijdt bij de spareribs. Ze hadden ook geen doggybags. Liever weggooien dan aan de gast meegeven. (Zelf in servetten gewikkeld en meegenomen)

El restaurante está en la planta superior de un centro deportivo. La terraza es espectacular, tanto sus vistas como el emplazamiento, decorado de forma muy industrial y moderna. En el exterior tienen tanto una zona de relax como de juegos con incluso una pista de petanca. Ideal para tomarse algo al atardecer. El interior, muy bien decorado con la cocina y despensa vista y los baños, donde de camino puedes echar una partida al pinball y otras máquinas, muy divertido. La comida, especial sin gluten para mí, estaba buena. Un primero con verduras salteadas, segundo con guiso de carne y postre con selección de quesos. Fue un menú cerrado previamente. Me extrañó que no dispusieran ni de cerveza sin gluten ni de pan, dado que después en el postre si que me pusieron, pero todo bien. Los camareros muy atentos y amables en todo momento. ¡Muy recomendable para el after-work de la zona!

Prachtige plek, aardige en gastvrije bediening en lekker eten en drinken. Net weer even wat specialer en mooi gepresenteerd.

Het is een restaurant die beetje verborgen is. Op de 5e verdieping op een niet erg centraal gelegen plaats. Wel zijn er parkeerplaatsen voor de deur. Met ov is het niet erg makkelijk te bereiken. Volg de B vanaf de weg en je komt er, dan is het nog even zoeken naar welke ingang het is, eenmaal binnen wijst de bewaker de weg naar de 5. Zodra je uit de lift stapt kom je wel meteen in een leuk hip elegant plekje, en niet geheel onbelangrijk het heeft een terras, groot terras zo om het gebouw heen. Je kan er eten en drinken, karaaf water is te refillen en dus goed over nagedacht. Bij de muntthee en koffie ontbraken de koekjes. Voor mij was dat een grote teleurstelling. Naar mijn mening is het meer een restaurant dan gezellig wat drinken.

Beautiful rooftop and nice food for the two stars. But be careful, they charged us 3 euros for just tap water, which is a bit unusual in Amsterdam... And ‘funny’ that they wanted us to use the cutlery that just left on the table(it looks like they were from the last guests, maybe they were not used but no idea how long they were there), not very hygiene proof...

Roof terrace: groot terras, vriendelijke service, en mooie kwaliteit eten en ook vegetarische opties.

Net zoals het oude bureau is dit weer een top stek! Ze zijn wat toegankelijker geworden door betere prijzen. Zeker een aanrader!
