Bar Brasserie NEXT in Halve Maan

The museum is great, but the food at Brasserie Next is truly awful. It's bottom-of-the-barrel fast-food quality. Getting a 3D-printed burger sounds cool, but it just tastes like a bad veggie burger. The garnish is also basic and uninspired. We had two different burgers, and each was bad in its own way. By the way, I have nothing against veggie burgers in general, but these were terrible. The fries—like the burgers—were lukewarm and undercooked. The architecture of the space and the view of the pond and the UFO are wonderful. So: best to just look, not eat! Oh, and the cappuccino was perfectly fine. And the prices are from the future: expensive!

I accidentally walked in twice during the Dutch Design Week (the second time in the spirit of second chances), but unfortunately, both times I was treated very unfriendly. The food is brasserie-quality, so there's really nothing wrong with it and it's nice in the spirit of the future, but as a paying customer, I'd like to be treated like a guest and have them think along with me to find solutions. Both times, I felt like I was a burden to the staff.

A very bad experience with a staff member, despite prior consultation. It's so unusual that, despite permission, they didn't consider circumstances such as an illness requiring someone to bring their own food. They remained extremely rude even after I tried to explain it again. Still a lot to learn.

Delicious food, excellent service, though it was a bit of a struggle to get the waiters to come to the table to take orders, for example. The cutlery was stained, so that's not very hygienic. Otherwise, I think it's a great place to eat and drink.

After visiting the museum, we arrived for drinks and snacks, but were told the kitchen was closed. To our surprise, we saw other tables being served food, even banana bread, which we weren't allowed to order. The service was curt and disinterested, which didn't enhance the atmosphere. Very disappointing!

Great brasserie with "space burgers" à la Evoluon. Great selection: meat, vegetarian, and vegan. There's a nice outdoor seating area. Friendly staff.

I was really curious about the 3D-printed veggie burger of the future. Just give me real meat. Sesame seeds on the burger bun are the only thing with flavor.

It's really fun to see what people think the world will look like in the future! But it could have been a bit more interactive.

We had lunch here during a visit to the Next Nature museum. The menu mainly has veggie and vegan options. But for real meat lovers there are also a number of options. We ordered the Pitafel and vegan bitterballen. The food was served quickly and it tasted great. The environment is spacious and light, equipped with plants and a refrigerator where fungi are grown.

Very original menu, well-seasoned food, fits well with the museum. In short, it is worth having a meal after a museum visit

Waited fifteen minutes but the waiter was busy with a party on the other side of the room? When it was finally our turn, the apple pie was gone.

Third time we visited Evolution/NextNature. The first time Brasserie was fine. This time, just like last time, a very negative experience. Last time we were able to order, but after a hopelessly long wait the food was not served and they 'lost' our order. This time we couldn't order anything (around 6:30 PM) even though the restaurant wasn't even full because “the kitchen couldn't handle it”. Poor temporary workers did their best but walked around aimlessly, “manager” not exactly friendly (understatement). Just like last time, after waiting for a while we left without eating so as not to miss the exhibition. There really can't be any other way, it's not that difficult. Advice: come with a full stomach or bring your own F&B! Haven't seen me for a while!

I was for the first time in the cafe/restaurant inside the Evoluon. Fast service, very friendly staff, I noticed that they regularly go around the room to check that everything is under control. Tasty food. Very good price.

Museum focuses on how we will probably grow our food in the future and what is already possible. The restaurant partly agrees with this. Nice experience, recommend it to others and would definitely come back again.

Bar Brasserie NEXT, located in Next Future (Spaceship Earth) in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, offers a perfect blend of nostalgia, the past, the future, nature, tech and us, humble humans. The coffee is delicious and served in a beautiful coffee set designed bij Joris Bijdendijk. And comes with a cookie! I couldn't wait for the tostis as I wanted to score a free drink!

Service was friendly, but slow. Ordered a jalapeño dog, but it was cold, missing the jalapeño, and tasteless. For 11 euros you expect more. Lemonade was lukewarm and not cold. Overall way too expensive for what it is.

The salad looks beautiful with all healthy ingredients, but I actually didn't think it was very tasty. But taste remains personal. I think it's a shame that the hot chocolate comes from a carton and still costs 4 euros. There are probably additional costs for the whipped cream from a spray can that is already shrinking away on the saucer. I prefer to stick to my homemade chocolate milk, made from cocoa and real whipped cream. Conclusion: quite expensive restaurant for the quality you get.

The apple pie could have been warm. Was now very cold. Too bad you can't serve yourself. Then you can see where you get and ensure that the order is complete. Now there was one cake too little given initially. Mayonnaise may (also) be served with the sandwich. I chose herbal tea, but I have no idea which herbal blend I got. Was there a choice?

Food was great. Kind of an odd experience to taste a 3d printed burger. But would recommend for everyone to try it once. A lot is vegetarian including the 3d printed meat.

13.50€ for a burger of such poor quality…tastes and looks like the 2€ meat at the self service machine in the center. Rest of the burger was fine but the meat makes for most of it. 5.50€ for an open bottle of unbranded water?? Is this from the tap? If it is, fine but the price is ridiculous Extension asked in comment: Meat: very poor quality. Absolutely not worth the burger price. Not much to add; use a decent quality patty instead of something that looks and tastes like a Frikandel. Water: for the price I expect a ceiled bottled open ad the table, instead of an open blank bottle that could be filled with tap water.

Great atmosphere (futuristic like the rest of the museum) and the service was perfect. However, the price and the choice of soup was not very clear to me. The menu says: “Soup 8.50. With freshly baked bread and butter. Next Nature soup of lost vegetables (“instock”) / Parsnip soup with truffle and bacon”. However, when we ordered soup, the waiter said that the soup was currently mushroom soup. We took that and it was delicious, but it might have been a bit clearer if 'soup of the day' had been on the menu. But maybe this is just me and other people find this clear. And the price is probably the same in all museum restaurants. And you get a refill if you post a Google review (but that wasn't my motivation)!

Ordered the healthy vegan sandwich. Just to be sure, is it also vegan cheese? Yes, of course, was the answer. Ended up getting a sandwich with cow's milk cheese and egg. Sandwiches are always made this way, it turned out later. So 'vegan' doesn't mean vegan there. Apologies and (after some hesitation) money back for the sandwich.

Despite the reviews on Maps, we ate here, and it was not disappointing at all. The veggie burgers were tasty and cheerful in color, wine was excellent and so was the range of beers. Service was nice, but everything took a very long time. You shouldn't be in a hurry!

Food took a very long time to be delivered. Even the drinks were only delivered after 30 minutes. We also had to move places. Food, on the other hand, was tasty.

A good example of how bad service can ruin your day. After a great exhibition we came to have a lunch on the terrace, I ordered vegan uitsmijter - the menu card looked cool and had a plant version of every meal. I got my order and it did not look like the description in the menu (it had an egg and ham on it), so I asked the waiter “are you sure it’s vegan?” He said “I guess so”. Seriously? I do not eat meat so we called the waiter again and sent the dish back saying that’s not what we ordered. He took it back to the kitchen and brought same plate without ham on it. So what I saw on my plate for 23 euros was: bread, salad leaves, cucumber and egg. What was on the menu: plant chicken from soya, plant egg made from kurkuma and soya, bread on the side. At this point we run out of patience (because we also spent 1.5 hour waiting for drinks, while all my friends apart from me got their meal) so we went to the manager. Apparently they did not have the dish that they had on the menu. And the waiter just decided not to tell me that and try to improvise. If you are positioning yourself as such a progressive restaurant with huge variety of vegan and vegetarian options, how could you serve me an egg and ham without even informing? We were not charged for anything - so that was their solution. But it doesn’t bring me back the nerves spend (talking to waiter was like talking to a wall) and time I spent sitting hungry waiting for a meal.

The only thing that was nice was the coffee. The menu had little choice and not everything was there. The smoked salmon was not smoked. The avocado was sour. And there was sludge in the Port. The price was not commensurate with the quality. indicated that we were not satisfied, but little or nothing was done about it.

Een op zich nette gelegenheid maar mijn inziens niet goed aansluitend op het publiek dat voor het Evoluon komt. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk maar de lunchkaart schiet tekort. Allemaal hippe gerechten en drankjes op de kaart waar je met kinderen praktisch niets mee kunt. Ook de drankjes wijken af van een standaard assortiment. Leuk als een toevoeging maar niet als enige keuze. We misten de normale producten als appelgebak, cassis en een normaal broodje met kruidenboter. Succes met de brasserie.
