A charming brasserie by the water. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is delicious, and the service is friendly. There's a selection of both more expensive and more affordable dishes.

Nice looking restaurant, good service, but food is mediocre food.

The dishes themselves are fine, but not for these prices. The ambiance and quality are cafe-like, not restaurant-style. I find over €130 for average food unacceptable. The eel lacked flavor (fresh?), but it was still €21. It's a shame, because the place is truly fantastic, and the previous owner (Steiger 28) had everything perfectly in place: concept, quality, price, and atmosphere.

I chose this place purely for convenience, given its proximity to the hotel, but it turned out to be a truly pleasant surprise! Beyond the charming and characteristic location, the real strength is the cuisine: the menu offers a wide and authentic selection of typical dishes. The staff deserves applause for their impeccable professionalism and infectious friendliness. The fact that it's also frequented by locals is a definitive testament to its quality. Highly recommended!

We ordered coffee and pastries, and the waiter offered us a glass of water. "Oh yeah, okay," he said. We were given two bottles of water at €3.25 each. I told him I wanted tap water, and he didn't quite get it. The apple pie is homemade, and it tastes that way. We received small glasses of latte macchiato.

The food was excellent, especially the fish. The service was a bit hesitant and awkward, but the view over the Ringvaart canal was beautiful.

Not deserving of a star!!!!!! We recently visited your restaurant. Although the first waiter served us kindly, we unfortunately had a very negative experience with another waiter (a gray-haired man). He was unfriendly and rude; when I made a comment, he simply shrugged his shoulders and, to my surprise, said, "That's your fault." We find this completely unacceptable and not appropriate way to treat guests. Furthermore, my husband became ill within two hours of dinner, presumably as a result of the food. This further undermined our experience.

Lovely place. We spontaneously moored our boat at their private dock. The staff was incredibly welcoming; we were made room right away. We enjoyed a lovely glass of Prosecco and two delicious main courses: chicken satay and fried garlic shrimp. It made our day complete, and we'll definitely be back! Thanks, David 👍🏼👍🏼

Highly recommended! A small, cozy restaurant in Aalsmeer on the Ringvaart River. The place is a bit difficult to find and quite unassuming, but the restaurant is great. We went here for lunch, ordered carpaccio, burgers, and desserts, and everything was very good. The waiter was also very friendly, and the service was a huge plus. Free parking in front of the entrance. I recommend it!

The eggs and ham were overcooked. The service was too slow. No atmosphere outside.

Last Saturday we had a delicious meal at David's with 13 people. Due to For our birthday, we ordered an ice cream cake for dessert in advance, which was flambéed next to us at the table with a lot of 'show' and served by David himself. Very festive! Big compliment for service but the price and also foods are not really tasty. Believe me i never have had in my life sweet chili chicken salad as spicy chicken salad. They just change the meaning of word spicy to sweet . Pls be clear in menu ( spicy chicken salad is sweet chicken)

De Zon primary school enjoyed a delicious lunch on the terrace with a group of 30 people. . David had put together a beautiful three-course menu. It looked beautiful, everyone loved it. The service was also top notch. In short; recommended!

Nice location on the ring canal. The evening sun is somewhat tempered by the lime trees, some glass against the west wind, a really nice terrace. We both ate a redfish fillet and it was delicious. Vegetables good, sauce tasty, fries well cooked. On to the next dish.

Very tasty food, the dishes were simply very well prepared. The service was also very enthusiastic and friendly. You would say absolutely great, the only downside we found was the atmosphere. It was just a little less. Could also be that it wasn't that busy and it was still light for a very long time, but still. But in terms of food it was really great.

If you still want someone to cook for you instead of refilling your plate, then you should go to this family business. Smiling friendly people father and son. Own touch on dishes and different almost every few baskets. I always taste good. If you want to relax you have the water side, sailing boats in the summer baskets. Parking in front of the door.

Very friendly owner of this brasserie. Tonight it was quiet and he was in the kitchen and serving himself. A friendly young man who is also a good cook. The brasserie itself looks neat, when the weather is nice you can sit on the terrace and look out over the water. A wonderful place for lunch and dinner. We will definitely come back

Yesterday we had a delicious meal at Brasserie David. The price of a number of dishes is on the high side (partly because some dishes do not include fries), but it was really delicious and looked well prepared! The terrace is in a beautiful location. Could be decorated a bit more cozily. But all in all definitely recommended!

Recently ordered satay with 6 people. Since we live next to the restaurant, we ate it at home. €18.50 is the price for a satay. Quite competitively priced for what we were served. Previous experience taught us that the question “is everything satisfactory and sufficient” required us to pay for each additional bowl of fries. I don't know yet whether I will have a bite to eat at David's again anytime soon.

The food was good. Unfortunately not the dessert. We have not paid for this.

What a wonderful thing this is. We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the water. The staff is extremely patient and friendly and the meal salad (spicy chicken) that I ordered was more than tasty. My husband had 12 hours and clearly enjoyed all the goodies on his plate. Even though we are not from the area (Veluwe), we will definitely go back here.

Brasserie David is our go-to restaurant in Aalsmeer. We reliably find the same quality in all the dishes, and the same great service. My personal favorite is the vegetarian pasta.

A terrible place with very unfriendly and even aggressive staff. Been there yesterday around 6pm. Could not eat because it would be too busy according to the waitress who looked like she would rather not see customers coming. This while most of the tables were empty. When my friend asked the uninterested waitress if maybe she could get a portion of fries or some oysters, it turned out that was not possible either. No point we thought and decided to have 1 drink. Suddenly the former owner (and father of current owner) comes storming out and asks aggressively if there are any problems and if we want to treat the waitresses with respect. Two guys sitting a table away had heard us talking to the waitress and immediately jumped into the breach by telling him that we had just been very friendly and respectful. The father insisted that we had been unkind and walked away without apology. When I asked him to apologize, he did raise his middle finger. With that, the boys next to us left their drinks and stepped up. I myself went in to get some redress how someone could just accuse us as guests, to which I received the second accusation, namely that I always cause trouble. He must have confused us with other people, because even though once again the 2 guys stood up for us, he stuck to his story. There was no excuse, and his son, the current owner who heard everything only said, "I don't know what happened." Disrespectful and aggressive I call it. Lost 4 customers with 1 action of being rude.

A gem in Aalsmeer. Unique location with excellent food. Feel free to call it Chez DAVID. David cooks and offers wines that do not fall into the brasserie category. But, price-quality is therefore excellent. You would hardly want to tell anyone about it... Delicious food, leisurely pace, we will come there often!

I had dinner with 15 husband/wife/children for my 75th birthday. Sat in a separate section at a long table. Easy to do and fun. Everyone loved the food. Parking the cars is no problem, there is plenty of space.

Excellent. Nice location on the water, neat and clean interior, hospitable service and delicious food. The Asian steak meal salad is well filled and everything that should be tender or crispy is. The eel sandwich is also richly filled and everything fresh. Chef David sometimes takes the order himself which is a nice touch. At another table it turned out that they had ordered incorrectly. Something else was suggested without any problems.

Excellent price-quality at this nice location. David does his best, the kitchen does the rest (fathers). Pleasant service. We had delicious mustard soup and fish of the day. Recommended, just try it out, we will come there more often.
