We had such a wonderful meal here on our wedding day, we just stumbled upon it! We ordered a surprise menu with a wine pairing...delicious! Beautiful restaurant, friendly, quick, and kind staff, and the old man...what a great guy! It was wonderful to see him enjoying himself so much! Highly recommended!

I have been in the Netherlands, and by far, this is the best experience I have had. The food tastes great; it's fresh as well. The service and attitude toward customers are great, and of course, the atmosphere is lovely.

Hartelijke en correcte bediening, de kok laat vooraf kennismaken met de verse vis en zeevruchten die vervolgens zeer smakelijk bedien worden. Ook de vleesgerechten zijn prima. En dat alles in een relaxed tempo.

When I sat down, the chef came with a stainless steel bin containing the fish of the night. I had to choose two out of eight delicious looking pieces of fish. The seared tuna was great. The teriyaki sauce was a little sweet when mingled with the salad. The scallops were served around some interesting sauted vegetables. The scallops were large, tender, and very delicate inside. However, two were burnt by the grill being too hot -- they were gracefully replaced. The poached pear was nicely spiced, without the spice dominating the pear flavour. Very enjoyable evening.

chef was not friendly, other service persons were somehow friendly. atmosphere was nice, next to main dish, they brought a bowl of potato with a red sauce that included celery and other stuff which did not taste good and did not seem to be fresh.Fish was fresh and well cooked.

One of the best ribeye steaks in the region. Very good quality meat with delicious barbecue smell and taste. Unfortunately, the vegetables in this dish were way too salty.

Fantastic local restaurant. Second time I'm here and they didn't disappoint. Scallops and sole-fish was perfect. Service includes great bread and a little sorbet. Whenever I'm having training at JAATO, I'll come here.

Het eten is goed, de kok is een man die staat voor zijn vakmanschap. Verder is het niet oké, bestelde een visbordje zonder garnalen, maar op het midden van mijn bord lag een berg garnalen. Ik kon kiezen dat ik het zelf op een bordje kon schuiven of dat ze het in de keuken zouden doen. Ze excuseerde wel dat we zo lang op onze gerechten moesten wachten. Het voorgerecht was op en gelijk kwam ons hoofdgerecht. Deze hebben we teruggestuurd we zijn relax uit eten. Kregen na 10 minuten een rode sinaasappel ijsje, lekker fris(deze hadden we anders denk na ons hoofdgerecht gekregen) nogmaals de kok staat voor zijn vak, maar de bediening snapt er niets van.

Saturday Oct 28 In 2023 we had another excellent meal in what we consider to be the best restaurant in Aalsmeer and the surrounding area. It is indeed not the cheapest, but it is high quality and everything is freshly prepared and top quality

We zijn middels een vaarvakantie, met vrienden n twee boten, in Aalsmeer aangemeerd op 24 juli. Na een zeer zonnige dag kwamen we vermoeid maar tevreden aan. De Halve Maen trok onze aandacht vanwege hun menu. Binnen werd onze verwachting overtroffen door zeer vriendelijk personeel en verrukkelijk diner. De Halve Maen kunnen wij daarom van harte aanbevelen.

Het hele gezin het menu van de chef gegeten. Je geeft aan wat je evt wel of juist niet wil eten. Eten is perfect, nergens in de hele regio kan je zo lekker en goed eten als hier bij de halve Maen. Bediening ook super, met een glimlach. Lijkt stijf met dat handje op de rug maar het is ook leuk om zo bedient te worden.

Went to restaurant De Halve Maan for the first time with family. Really super cozy, beautiful ambiance and delicious food, but especially the great people walking around there. What a great evening! Thx. 👍👏

This cozy restaurant is located in the old village of Aalsmeer (at least from the outside it looks small), but on the inside it is large and has a cozy, modern design! Chimene, a young lady, is the hostess and she is doing a fantastic job, a breath of fresh air, so to speak! The fresh fish is shown at the table and there is a small menu but plenty of choice! Beforehand I had carpatio, beautifully prepared and a delicious flavor combination, in between we had a delicious amuse, as a main course I had the veal apple, I must honestly say I couldn't eat that piece of meat but it was fantastic! A small scoop of sorbet was also served in between! And for dessert, crepe suzette, which also tasted delicious! The service was super friendly! All in all, a well-deserved 9.5 for me 100% recommended!

Had dinner tonight with 8 people. We opted for the 4 course menus, you can choose meat or fish. The owner/chef comes to your table to show you what fresh fish they have that day. Very nice! Each course was delicious and beautifully prepared. And certainly not small portions! Staff was super friendly and cheerful. The closing event was a collection of desserts, all delicious. In short, I went home feeling full and satisfied, and we will definitely come back to eat more often!

After not having been there for a while, the place has been surprisingly renovated, very atmospheric and the food is sublime again, real class, highly recommended from Aalsmeer and surrounding areas.

Cozy interior and in a typical location for Aalsmeer. But that's just the introduction to this restaurant. The menu has focus and yet enough choice. The dishes were all delicious, well prepared and balanced side dishes. That is also a limited representation of the whole. What gives them 5 stars from me is that the service was perfect, the extra appetizer and the like before and between courses and ultimately a complete evening out for dinner. Next time the four-course menu!

Had an invitation-only meal on Saturday, November 9, in Restaurant de Halve Maen. I can only say that I had a delicious meal here. Delicious warm slices of bread with various spreads as an opening. The waitresses were very friendly and were able to explain everything well about what was served. The chef will arrive in advance with the container of fish to explain which types of fish are involved. Even the lady of the house came to your table to have a chat, not for too long, just right. The starter, the fish dish, is highly recommended, and the main course, the sea bass, is especially recommended. A small appetizer was served between the starter and main course. All in all, a very successful evening that is certainly worth repeating.

Unfortunately very disappointing. Ate here upon invitation, but completely inhospitable to vegetarians. Not a single vegetarian main course on the menu. As a starter a nice but very salty mushroom soup. A vegetarian main course was prepared upon request, but unfortunately the chef did not provide more than a very limited portion of stir-fry vegetables with noodles and a scoop of mushroom soup (the one from the starter) as a sauce. While more exciting vegetables (smoked beets and celeriac) were mentioned with the main courses. The one star is for the friendly waitress.

This afternoon we were able to enjoy the delicious sole again at home that we had left over from last night's delicious dinner and were neatly packed in a box to take with us!

Very good restaurant. Fresh and delicious food, obliging service. The dish of the day is presented by the chef himself. Not cheap but I recommend it!

We stayed there twice and had two different rooms. The first time we had a room that was tired and in need of restoration; the second time we had a nice room. The hotel is well located. From there you can walk to the market, to the Movement Theater and even to the center.

This is simply a great restaurant for a nice dinner. The chef always comes by with his fresh fish and can make something delicious from it upon request to your own taste and wishes. Service is also completely fine, although this probably depends on how busy it is. At least the waiter on my last visit was knowledgeable and friendly.
