A very nice restaurant with delicious food. Everything is freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. Definitely a place I'd love to return to.

The food was great...it was delicious. It's part restaurant and part pub, so many people know each other, which made it very busy and noisy. But I wouldn't consider it a great place for a delicious meal on a Saturday.

I ordered a gluten-free starter and main course, and it was supposed to be possible. Both dishes were clearly not gluten-free.

It's a good place, but I missed something to call it very good. The food was good, but not exceptional or outstanding. Every dish was okay, but I expected more. The service was okay, but not as good as other places. The atmosphere was okay, although a bit too loud for my liking. The prices were okay, and there's plenty of parking nearby. I recommend it, although I expected a bit more, especially since I celebrated my wedding anniversary here.

Reserved a table for 4 but we were allowed to choose a table; there was not a table reserved for us. Friendly service. Portions were all generously sized but not spectacular in quality; just 'normal' tasty. Prices very reasonable. Neat interior.

Pros: -good food Cons: -noisy guys in the kitchen -because of that you can hear two kinds of music at the same time (which really drives you crazy as a customer) -some flowers outside get so little water 💦 that they are almost dead. I always find it such a horrible sight. -received the wrong bread (brown instead of white) -you are served politely but not warmly Clean toilets! Maybe room for improvement? Otherwise, we had a nice meal.

With a group of 40 people we were looking for a place to have a drink, taking into account that most places only open at 12 o'clock. At Het Veilinghuis we were initially greeted in a friendly manner by a young man who indicated that we could already sit on the terrace, even though there was no one available to serve and the terrace had not yet been swept clean, but we did not mind at all, understandable and did not need it for us, we were already happy that we could sit down. However, after fifteen minutes a blonde lady appeared and visibly agitated that we were there, who immediately indicated that she still had to open and clean the terrace. We calmly indicated that we were aware of this. She then stormed inside to get the story from her colleague. A little later she came out again with a cleaning cloth and started wiping a table in a hurry and clearly irritated. When we tried to reassure her with “take it easy”, we got the response and tone that there were other places to have a drink further on. The message was very clear: we were not welcome. Too bad we were "shooed away" so unfriendly despite the friendly flexible colleague who initially welcomed us and thought along with us, especially considering the fact that we could have generated a nice turnover as a large group. Apparently that is not necessary for "Het Veilinghuis" according to this lady. It would have been a bonus. No warm welcome from this lady and no reason for us to return. Fortunately, further on at Brasserie de Praam the reception was so friendly and we were allowed to take a seat where we were provided with delicious food and drinks and a nice afternoon.

Friendly welcome. And picked a table myself. The music was at a good volume, the restaurant was about 60-70 percent full during the time we were there. The service sometimes took a bit long. I am not one for beckoning but I do seek eye contact. But despite that, we sometimes had to wait just a little too long. Among other things on the menu, the time between starter and main course and ordering dessert. That is why 4 stars. The food definitely gets a 5+. The menu says rib and chicken. Now I am not really into chicken legs so I asked if it could also be with satay. Fortunately, this was not a problem. Well priced and good portions. In that respect, definitely worth repeating.

The old auction is a household name in Aalsmeer, but not only a household name, but it fights for the right and good intentions of the catering industry! It is one of the very best and most fun places to be alone, together or with a group! The speed of the drinks or the food can only be complimented! Nu 3x geweest en elke keer tegen gevallen dus ik probeer het niet nog een keer. Restaurant is leuk en gezellig, personeel is vriendelijk en enthousiast . Al leek het deze keer of we niet welkom waren. Wel snel al een drankje en een broodje met kruidenboter, maar na 30 minuten ben ik de menukaart zelf maar gaan vragen aan de bar. De eigenaar kwam hem brengen met de opmerking sorry dat we jullie vergeten waren. Maar dat bleek helaas de trend van de avond te worden. Voorgerechten waren de carpaccio, de gambas en de paling. Ook met enige vertraging maar ik moet eerlijk zijn, het was allemaal super lekker! Dat beloofde dus wat voor de hoofdgerechten. Al moesten we daar weer behoorlijke tijd op wachten. Helaas. De biefstuk was te ver doorgegaard en korrelig. De lever was lauw / koud. Spek bij de lever was nog rauw ipv lekker doorgebakken (zo uit het pakje op een bord). Patat was echt niet lekker en leek erg op diepvriespatat, smaakte alleen maar naar frituurvet. Ossenhaas sate was alleen maar pezen en na paar keer kauwen zat je met zo'n vleesbal in je mond. Slibtongetjes veel te ver doorgebakken, bijna zwart. Kortom, op elk hoofdgerecht was wel wat op aan te merken. Dessertkaart moesten we ook weer zelf achteraan. Monsieus noir, tiramisu en een creme brulee gedeeld. Niets op aan te merken, was lekker! Als ik het cijfers moet geven. Voorgerecht 8,5, hoofdgerecht 5,5, dessert 8,5. Een rekening van ruim 200 euro. We hebben in Aalsmeer genoeg restaurants, deze ga ik niet meer heen.

Feestviering: Ideale locatie om een verjaardagsdiner te vieren. Gezellig, ongedwongen en prima kwaliteit en prettige bediening.

We have visited the restaurant tonight and received a very warm welcome by the staff. We have ordered 2 different burgers both which came with fries and were outstanding!. The price also matched the quality and amount of food provided. We throughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend to others who might be staying in the area.

Gem in Aalsmeer. Delicious dishes: spareribs, tender. Fish trio, silt sole was gone but replaced by prawns. Would have preferred if the prawns had still been in their skins, but they were tasty. Schnitzel, well fried and not dry. Good portions, side dish was tasty and nice variation of potatoes: waffles, curly fries, regular fries. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.

Met de hele familie hier gegeten. Een voor-, hoofd-, en nagerecht. Het eten was erg lekker en de bediening vlot en vriendelijk. Wij waren er vrijdagavond. Daardoor stonden er ook mensen aan de bar voor de vrijdagmiddagborrel. Het deed druk aan. Je moet ervan houden. Ons heeft het niet gestoord. Prijs kwaliteitverhouding is voor deze tijd prima. Een aanrader.

We came to De Oude Veiling very late on a Sunday. Even though the kitchen was already closed, we had an incredibly good meal, delicious wine and even dessert. The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The price-performance ratio was right for us! It was my first time eating a vegetarian chicken dish at a restaurant and it was fantastic.

We arrived from Amsterdam tired from walking. We went here to have a drink and they treated us fabulously. The waiter was very nice and helpful. I don't know if I will return to Aalsmeer, but for sure if I come, I will come here again to this restaurant.

Ate here with 4 people. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated. Service top! Be alert if you want to order something, for example. Food was delicious! I myself had the sludge tongues. These were richly thick! The slopped tongues were served with fries (3 different ones mixed together) and fresh vegetables. We also had the short ribs and a burger. This was also great!

Had a nice evening here with the 2 of us. The goat cheese salad is recommended: really delicious! Top service.

De Oude Veiling is a small but lovely restaurant with just the most perfect and welcoming staff. The menu is quite extensive and the food I had was delicious. I chose the soup of the day which was Five Cheese Soup and Gambas Pil Pil. The portion sizes are very generous! My friends had the Schnitzel (which was huge!) and the Liver and Onions (also a large serving) I will definitely visit this restaurant again in the near future.

Pleasantly busy, limited but tasty menu, the Super Satay tenderloin gets a 10 with a penny. Extremely friendly and helpful staff!

What a lovely restaurant in Aalsmeer, where I've celebrated the 40e work anniversary of a colleague. The place is not that big, but that's perfect for a nice ambiance. The staff was amazing, very attentive and friendly. I started with the smoke eel, which was the most expensice started in the menu. The taste is quite traditional, nothing special done with it, just swrved with toasts and salads. As main, I took the rib-eye, which I expected to be a little thicker, but it was cut top thin. Presentation-wise, just simply served with pepper sauce and some veggies. The fries were served separately. The dessert, nothing to fault either, just a simple dame blanche. I did not get why they added a grape in it. All in all, it was a fun night.

Nice restaurant good food friendly staff. I had Ladysate good taste just enough. I only found the lettuce and raw vegetables to be a bit bland and not fresh. Tomato soup, satay and creme brullee was very tasty. Price quality is excellent.

Probably a typical Dutch restaurant. Quite comfortable. The variety of dishes is small, but they are prepared quickly. Not everything is on the drink menu, but in the end, the prices won't strain you financially, nor will the final amount on the check.
