We've tried this terrace three times now, but we're giving up on it. You wait forever for the disinterested staff to deign to serve you. They don't understand how nice it is to have your drinks and snacks delivered simultaneously, not every fifteen minutes apart. When we pointed this out, we didn't get any sympathetic reaction. The wine is subpar, a real shambles for the price, so we left it alone, as was the "fresh juice," which just comes from a carton. A terrible experience, three times in a row. We live in this city, but we'll never return.

The staff doesn't speak Dutch, and since you only get small snacks, you expect at least a plate and fork. I had to ask for them myself, and we each received one cup of coffee or tea. And they call this high tea. The cloth cream ran off the scones, and then there was no cutlery or plate. Since this is part of the Derlon hotel, the service was simply terrible. It was purely focused on speed and convenience, and certainly not on the old Derlon quality. Not recommended, and since I'm a high tea lover and have been to a pastry shop, it was a disappointment. I even had the impression that some things hadn't been properly cooled or stored... a downright disappointment.

I have a bell pepper allergy, and this was handled very well. We had a super nice hostess who was very helpful and hospitable. Highly recommended! High tea

Op het terras geluncht. De bediening deed tenminste nog z’n best, de kok/keuken niet. Kwaliteit onder de maat en schandalig duur.

Entourage was mooi. Het eten was matig, karige porties en soms geen herkenbare smaken. Geen begeleidend brood. Personeel heeft geen horeca-ervaring, heel vaak die avond het woord sorry gehoord van het personeel. Lang moeten wachten op de verschillende gangen (4 gangen). Bestek kwam meestal pas na uitserveren van de gang. Verschillende keren moeten vragen naar de begeleidende wijnen (behorende tot arrangement). Voor ons absoluut éénmalig.

Afzetters!!! Slechte wat ik ooit al heb gegeten. Ge krijgt amper iets op uw bord wat niet te vreten is!! Mensen blijf er aub weg. Ge gaat nog beter naar een frituur. Ze kunnen geen woord nederlands. Hun brood wat je krijgt zogezegd als aperitief volgens mij komt het van de Aldi. De rekening klopte ook niet.,.. de slechte brasserie van heel Nederland!

We had a wonderful time with waiters Algy and Nicky. They served a delicious four-course dinner and complemented the wines with excellent wines, creating a wonderful atmosphere! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Maastricht.

We hebben hier erg lekker gegeten. Wel was het bloedheet binnen en stonden de tafels erg dicht op elkaar. Het interieur was heel strak en niet echt knus, je moet er van houden. Vriendelijk personeel al duurde het even voordat ze het drinken kwamen opnemen.

I went here few days ago. Food was incredible, I ordered some meat, and some snacks to share. The service was really pleasant. I enjoyed a lot from this place, totally recommend it!

Absolutely bottomless. We had made reservations early (!) for New Year's Eve with our four-year-old son and wanted to eat a la carte. When we arrived we found out that there was only a buffet for almost 100 p.p. would give that day. Without drinks, of course, apart from a glass of champagne. Basically no drama, but this information was not available in advance. We then agreed to it due to a lack of alternatives, but at least they admitted that we should have been informed. Our son was then able to eat for free. The meal took place in the vault. The atmosphere was rather bland. The service was completely haphazard, although friendly and also child-friendly. But the “buffet” was the real highlight: The quality was ok, but there was actually no selection. One main course with fish, one with meat, pasta Bolognese. No vegetarian option. No side dishes, apart from jacket potatoes and a very poor small selection of raw vegetable salad, which was more like decoration, mind you, without dressing. Not a single vegetable on the entire buffet! There was exactly one starter (with raw meat) and a tomato soup that couldn't have had less flavor. Some bread and butter. At least three different desserts that also tasted good. Otherwise NOTHING. No dips, no appetizers - just nothing. Not even a handful of olives, cheese or nuts. Calling it a buffet was simply an outrage, especially given the price. In addition, half of the “selection” was empty most of the time, the kitchen added something at a snail's pace every 30 minutes, even though there wasn't exactly a lot of people. Then there were a handful of starters that were sold out very quickly. None of the offers were excellent. So you didn't know what you were actually eating. Allergy sufferers would have been lost here. All in all, nothing more than a major nuisance. We will not see the inside of the brasserie or the associated hotel again at any price.

Delicious mustard soup, good service and nice environment

Celebrating Christmas in Limburg was fun and we ended up here for a Christmas dinner. We had a delicious meal, the staff was very friendly and the icing on the cake was certainly the violinist who entertained us with beautiful Christmas music..

De inrichting van de zaak is modern en stijlvol. Bij mooi weer kun je terrecht op het terras op een van de mooiste pleinen van Maastricht. Wij hebben een borrelplank besteld. Wat wekregen was niet zoals op de menukaart stond vermeld. We kregen Manchego kaas, Serano ham, 3 stukjes stokbrood en een bakje aiolie. Volgens de kaart moesten wij meer dan dit kregen. Er ontbrak Chorizo, Lomo, pico en olijven. Toen wij dat kenbaar maakte vertelde de kelner dat een deel van de bestellingen niet was geleverd. Het hoofdgerecht was Maastrichts zuurvlees met salade en huisgemaakte frieten. De zuurvlees miste smaak en was niet vers. De salade miste dressing en de frietjes waren niet huisgemaakt. Dit gerecht klopte in zijn geheel niet. Gelukkig was de wijn die dit alles begeleide erg lekker. De bediening van een jonge man was vriendelijk en correct. Opvallend was dat er slechts één kok in de keuken stond voor maar liefst 17 gasten.

Helaas hebben we wederom moeten ervaren dat de service ver te zoeken is hier. Bedienend personeel heeft een ongeïnteresseerde houding, is niet bereikbaar en hebben weinig kennis van horeca. We hebben het een kans gegeven, alleen zij hebben het gemist.

Too bad the quality varies greatly. Last time a nice platter with coffee, brownie, cookie, glass of eggnog and whipped cream. This time a meager bowl a la Boy Bensdorp cafeteria. Unworthy of a hotel.

SD bon met opgave wat deze inhield, nou is een gemiste kans voor Louis. Bij aankomst bleek het menu waarvoor we kwamen en gekocht hadden heel iets anders te zijn. Voorgerecht carpaccio in plaats van tonijn, toen een home made tomatensoep was ketchup verwarmt geen enkel vezel van een tomaat te bespeuren, vervolgens een gort droge zalmfilet met pure uit een pak en wat stengels groente en het dessert chocomoes nou volgens mij was de pot chocopasta in een glas gestopt de lepel bleef rechtop in het glas staan. De teleurstelling was voor ons allemaal groot. Als we dit hadden geweten hadden we beter een drie gangen menu kunnen kiezen want dat zag er beter uit voor minder geld. Hier gaan we dus voorlopig niet meer heen. Bediening was goed alhoewel deze ook niet wist hoe er mee om te gaan. Andere gasten worstelde ook met dit gebodene, de borden waren voor de opgediende gerechten te klein want dat mag wel gezegd zijn de porties waren groot. De verwachte culinaire kookkunst was hier ver zoek, leek eerder een opgewarmd geheel.

Today we sat on the terrace and ordered fries and bitterballen. The latter were still frozen on the inside and the fries were also cold. After they were taken away, the 2nd portion of bitterballen was also served cold on the inside, the fries were warmed up (but not long enough) in the microwave. They were stiff and limp and cold while the bowl was piping hot. To cry so bad, we paid for the drinks and left It's always something lately. The time before on Saturday evening at 8 p.m. we couldn't get anything to eat, only from the drinks menu. Service is repeatedly talking at the bar and has to walk to the bar themselves to order. It was probably good at one time, but the glory days are clearly over. Very unfortunate, such a beautiful building in an excellent location...

Sat here on a Saturday afternoon. Location is perfect. However, we were not lucky with good service. It all took a long time. We have seen several people leave after a while without ever being spoken to by the staff and therefore not eating or drinking anything. Not the cheapest location. It's nice to sit. Shame about the mediocre service.

terras op Onze Lieve Vrouweplein van hotel Derlon /Brasserie Louis probeerde te lunchen, was oefening in wachten, salades waren veel sla, weinig "vulling" 4 a 5 plakjes tonijn bij de tonijnsalade, wel veel groen weinig smaak, brood was een gesneden kaiserbroodje. Gelukkig deed de terras verwarming het.

Slecht geschilde asperges en ondanks aangeboden alternatief gerecht (champignons met (teveel) truffelmayo) blijft de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding dan zeer negatief uitvallen. Had hier echt betere kwaliteit verwacht. Zeker in een vier sterren hotel.

Although we had a fantastic evening with delicious food, my girlfriend suffered from extremely severe food poisoning. I called them and they told me I would be called back... it's now a week later and I still haven't heard anything. Again: fantastic evening at the time, paid €145 for 2, but with food poisoning that was so intense that she had to go to the doctor for heavy medication, I still advise you not to eat here. If you do decide to eat here, I strongly advise you not to get the steak tartare, because that was the only difference between our meals and the culprit for her...

Very good cocktails but they say that there is 20% off cocktails from 4 p.m.... but, when paying, they say that these are only for people at the bottom of the restaurant.

The restaurant is perfectly located. You can sit outside and inside. The food can be better. A sea bass doesn't have to be too dry. You also expect more for the money

I stopped for lunch at this place also because I was interested in visiting the Roman remains which are located in the underground rooms of the hotel where there are other tables for the same place. I ate on the terrace and I must say that everything was very good, elegant, particular and not even exaggerated in terms of prices.

Quelle déception ! Temps infini pour recevoir nos consommations . Ai commandé une sole (plat signature): à midi déjà (rt seulement midi),il n'y en avait plus ! Juste incroyable. Du coup ,ai choisi une soupe bouillabaise et des croquettes de crevettes : eau de vaisselle pour la bouillabaise (le serveur nous a dit que le chef avait oublié des ingrédients !!!!! Véridique !!!!!) ,croquettes de crevettes insipides ... Notre ami a reçu son plat avec le panier à frites ...vide ! 10 min pour avoir enfin des frites trop cuites !!! Une manager qui n'écoute pas les remarques parce qu'elle "n'a pas le temps " Au moment de payer ,impossible de contrôler le ticket car "la machine était en panne " Soit il y a eu un énorme problème en cuisine ,soit ce sont des incapables...

Very nice restaurant, part of a hotel. You can sit outside. There are Dutch and Belgian beers on tap. Food and drinks were very good. I had asparagus with salmon, absolutely excellent. The service was very friendly, prices were okay.

Last weekend we visited Brasserie Louis located in the Derlon hotel on Onze Lieve Vrouweplein. We ended up at the restaurant through social deal. The menu choice looked attractive so we decided to buy the deal and immediately make a reservation. Friendly welcome upon arrival, but service was quite messy. There were two younger waiters walking around accompanied by an experienced waiter. The experienced waiter is clearly busy and stressed keeping guests under control and supervising the waiters at the same time. We were allowed to choose a seat in the restaurant ourselves. We were then asked what we would like to drink. Drinks arrived on the table not much later. It took a while before the waiter came to explain the menu. The waiter came to explain the menu and it turns out that she had almost completely changed the menu to another menu. Three of the four courses have changed. the choice that was possible when describing the deal was therefore cancelled. Completely surprised and extremely disappointed for us that the entire menu has largely changed. The selected dishes and menu on social deal convinced us to buy the deal, but when explained it was completely different. It was also not possible to expand the course to other dishes at an additional cost. We finally ate the menu with completely different expectations and disappointment. Conclusion: We think it is misleading that they are going to draw up an attractive menu with dishes whose ingredients were better than what we actually ate. The waiter had indicated during explanation that they had not yet adjusted it. It is now a few days later and on Louise's social deal page the menu is still described with dishes that they do not offer. We wish you the best of luck with the case. But it just wasn't fair in our eyes. Normally I wouldn't bother writing a review, but I don't want to disappoint other guests. From now on I will call the store first to ask what the menu is before I purchase a deal.

Wow! A high class cuisine in Maasricht‘s heart that is worth taking time for. The food is fresh and lovely made. You get a tasty salad in a cute little bowl with your main dish.
