Last night I ordered a beefburger and it was a truly terrible experience. The food was delivered so cold and of such poor quality that it was practically inedible. Unfortunately, I have to say that you have gone downhill significantly, regarding the quality and taste of the food as well as the presentation and the way it is served. What I find worst of all is that food of this quality is delivered to the customer cold. I had expected much more from you, but this order was a huge disappointment. I hope you take this criticism seriously, because a customer does not pay for cold, poor-quality food.

The staff were grumpy and rude; they charge you to use the restroom when you order something, and there's not even toilet paper. It's a fast-food chain, and I understand it's not meant to be a restaurant, but there are limits. 0/10 :(

Tourists cant retuen cups if they dont have a bank account in €. Also an employee took away my fries and threw them away when I was still eating them. Employees look like they work against their will. The worst fastfood in town lol

Got my order wrong as the staff were too busy gossiping. I don’t expect 5 star service, but should be basic to get the order correct.

The food quality is average, but it's severely penalized by extremely slow and inconvenient service. The long wait completely ruins the overall experience.

Overall, we had an ok experience! The service was ok as there was a high turnover of customers and the place was very busy, so there was a wait due to the large number of orders being prepared. Orders could be distributed faster. However the lady distributing was doing a great job making sure the order is complete and has the right things. One thing that would make the experience even better would be outside seating. There was a really nice, cool breeze outside, while it felt quite warm inside in thw waiting area, especially with so many people waiting for their orders. Temperatur on the first floor was good. Burger and onions rings were only light warm not hot anymore by the time we got them after waiting for at least 20mins if not longer. I had to order a reusable cup in 1€ as the machine didn't allowed me to order a deink without it. There were no tissues coming with the order.

This place is truly worthless. The staff constantly make mistakes with orders. I ordered 9 nuggets and 9 chili cheese, but I received 18 nuggets and no chili cheese at all. Another time, I ordered a milkshake with a specific flavor and received a different flavor twice that I didn't want at all. Additionally, they pack the orders terribly. I was given cups without lids simply in an old bag. There were three people working, yet they still managed to hand over my order incorrectly. The service is incredibly bad and the staff do not come across as competent at all. I will never come back here, and I strongly advise others against going here as well.

The employees do not speak English and it is difficult to communicate with them.

Avoid at all costs!! Three elderly people with no motivation to provide service. We had booked a table by the canals, thinking it would be faster than a traditional restaurant... but it was a disaster. We waited 25 minutes, they forgot the nuggets, and the burgers were cold... The toilets were chargeable despite our order...

I have always been very satisfied with the food. But what is going on with your staff? It isn't even that busy, but absolutely no orders are coming through. There is one man standing there taking orders very slowly. He is rude, too. It is taking too long; I have been standing here for a while.

This place isn't bad...the food was more or less okay. But the onion rings seemed overcooked, as they were harder than at other Burger King locations. Plus, the place itself isn't very clean. The stairs to the second floor were sticky and wet, and the second floor itself wasn't clean either. Some tables were wet from someone spilling a drink. Sure, there was a cleaner, but you wouldn't think he existed based on the cleanliness. Anyway, it's okay to eat here. If you don't mind the cleanliness.

Worst Burger King so far. What is supposed to be hot is cold and vice versa.

I ordered an ice cream; after fifteen minutes I still hadn't received it, so I went to ask. Then I got the answer: "No ice cream, you get your money back."

The worst service ever! Rude staff… It’s clear they simply don’t care. It wasn’t even busy, yet they refused to take our order and kept insisting that we use the self-service kiosk. We wanted to pay in cash, but there was no one at the cashier to help us, and the staff were incredibly rude. We waited in total around 20 minutes!!! Every time we asked if we could pay at the register, they literally replied, “I don’t know,” instead of asking the manager to open the cashier or having someone assist us. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. What a shame… Never again at this BK!

waited 40+ mins for food, all cold and gross. staff were verbally abusing eachother and getting into fights at counter. literally don’t come here

The staff were incredibly rude, and the manager insulted us just for asking a few questions. We caught the kitchen staff throwing away unused food in the same place where people take the food to be served and then eat it. And to top it all off, the bathrooms cost money, so if I get diarrhea, I just have to put up with it. Pathetic.

Nice BK with a view of Leidseplein. Unfortunately, there are hardly any seats downstairs at the takeaway counter. A few benches would be very welcome! Using the toilet costs a whopping €1 for a cramped restroom with a much too large basin that rubs against your thighs. It is also a shame that you can only use the special offers (coupon) once.

Food was fine I guess but the fact that you had to order a reusable cup was confusing? And a homeless man came up and plead for us to buy him food which was awkward.

No air conditioning, no fan. It was hot. Meals and prices were reasonable.

Why is the little veggie burger suddenly gone? We cycled all the way around, damn it.

The staff member shorted me two items. After I gave the order number, they insisted on seeing my receipt—which they had forgotten to give me in the first place—and then grilled me on exactly how much I had spent to prove the order was mine. Why treat the customer like a thief just because of your own service error?

The staff are quite slow, it takes too much time becoming your order. On the other hand the meal was delicious and hot. We had problems becoming our drinks because there wasn’t any options just coke.

Horrible place ! Don’t go there ! I ordered food for takeaway, payed extra for cup and for takeaway bags ….. it’s not what you see in menu! Staff was horrible , they even did not listen me ! After arguing with staff and manager , they gave me just a paper bag for takeaway ice cream 🤣 Don’t go there , horrible horrible service !!!

Absolutely awful, got served meat inside a vegetarian wrapper, and when asking the staff about it they just refused to answer. Also waited 45 minutes, all around terrible definitely avoid.

The worst Burger King by far!! Unpleasant employees... they gave me the wrong order and when I went to complain they gave it to me wrong again... a disaster and on top of that they make you pay to use the bathroom even if you've ordered something... this place is absolutely terrible!

Terrible customer service, took me an hour to finally get a mid cheeseburger when other orders were being filled quickly with the staff just ignoring you, they took my receipts to fill the order and then continued to ignore me, genuinely my worst experience at a fast food place ever

The food was OK, although the two patties in the double cheeseburger were super thin. But I was surprised that the bathroom wasn't free, even for customers. I'd never seen that before. At first, I thought you had to scan the receipt, but no. I think it's incredibly tacky. I've never seen any other restaurant or café charge customers for using the bathroom.

Everything's fine, the only downside is that you have to pay to use the bathroom.

Too slow service and quality is too bad

It's outrageous that a restaurant where the bill is 16 euros per person charges 1 euro for using the toilet. The place was extremely hot, and the air conditioning wasn't working.

Never order from them literally half the order is missing in a menu the burger is the center how then do you forget the burger twice in the same order then for sauce you pay 1 euro extra and then they don’t give you any sauce and goodluck trying to call them last time I order from here

Toilets not free even for customers. What a disgrace.

Unfortunately, it's a hassle to return the mandatory deposit cup and then scan the QR code for a €1 refund...🥲 But the most nerve-wracking thing is the toilet barrier in the restaurant, which only opens with a €1 coin, even if you're eating or drinking inside...😡😡

It was hot, there was no air conditioning, it was even hotter inside than outside. The order arrived about 20-25 minutes after ordering, even though there weren't many people in the restaurant.

This restaurant is lazy, and everyone there is extremely lazy. It doesn't deserve one star, and I don't recommend it.

Not satisfied at all. We have been to Burger King more than once. And the feeling is that the machine for accepting reusable glasses here either almost never works or works every other time. It is annoying to pay every time for glasses for which you cannot get a refund. Plus, the image of Whiskey Master is different from what is sold. It does not look nice. I think that what I got is not worth what I paid. I do not recommend this Burger King at least.

Really, really slow service the last time I was in. One of us actually only ordered one drink, and it still took 5 mins to be ready. The staff seem to have better things to be doing.

It was a long wait; there was only one person at the counter doing everything. They charge 1 euro for tomato sauce and 1.25 euros for the restroom. The taste was good.

Great value if you use the app — burgers cost only €1–€1.50. Upstairs there are tables by the large windows, very pleasant and bright. Oddly, the restroom charges a fee even for paying customers.

I rarely write reviews, but our experience here was honestly ridiculous. We used the self-service kiosks, which already started poorly: when ordering tea, the system forced us to pay a €1 surcharge for reusable cups. We accepted it, thinking we’d get a proper setup. The issues started immediately at pickup: The Tea Fiasco: After a long wait, the staff member simply handed us two tea bags—no choice of flavor offered. Worse, the hot water was served in disposable paper cups. We had to specifically demand the reusable cups we were forced to pay extra for before she finally handed them over. The "Fry Pile": When we got to our table, we realized the staff hadn't put our fries into individual cartons. They had simply dumped all the fries loose into the bottom of the large brown paper bag. We had to sort out our own portions by hand. Food Quality: We tried the vegan burgers, but they were a massive disappointment. They looked burnt and tasted like cardboard—3/10 at best. Between the forced surcharges for items they don't even provide voluntarily and the messy food preparation, this was a waste of money. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.

I have always eaten there well for a very long time, today very bad, no sauce, dry, no taste, never again

We got severely sick after eating here. I was vomiting the entire night and my friend also became ill shortly after the meal. It completely ruined the last day of our trip because we could barely leave the hotel. The hotel staff told us they had heard similar complaints before. I’m know no one is gonna do a thing about it, but if at least one person reads this before it’s too late, it’s a success.

Very unpleasant staff, zero cleanliness, very long wait even at 7pm

The taste of the burgers is okay, but the burger size is disappointing compared to other Burger King branches.

Burger King is supposedly fast food. Definitely not this one. I've been to many, and absolutely no other restaurant has such lazy and slow service. The fastest worker was a small, elderly woman. It was obvious everyone else was working there as a punishment. Add to that the dirty tables and sticky floors. I don't recommend coming here for any reason. Even if you're pressed for time, it's best to find a restroom elsewhere.

Whopper tasted the same as the one in australia where i'm from, no complaints.

Understaffed place, only a couple of workers taking dozens of orders, moving slow, bad vibe and no hygiene. On top of that, I had to wait more than 30mi for a simple Happy Meal for my kid.

The food is getting terrible day by day. Ordered the loaded fries and could barely see any beacon inside. The Oreo ice cream is nothing like the one advertised.

The chubby one at the bar provides terrible service; I don't know how they allow people like that to work with the public. On the other hand, the little one near the kitchen is much more polite.

Arrived promptly at 2:45, but the place was already closed. So I just went to Febo.

We went in for a quick bite and got a cold burger with uncooked onions and a slab of cold cheddar on a thin patty. The fries were great though, and a young couple gave us their coke that they didn't order, which somewhat restored my faith in the next generation - just a little.

The service was bad; it took 5 minutes before someone took your order. I am never going here again in my life; I hope no one in my bloodline goes there. The portions were small and it was way too expensive. This Burger King is stingy.

The cleaning lady was rude, it's no longer fast food but slow food, the Whopper was cold, and the cheese isn't melted, the cola tastes like water, you have to pay €1 for the toilet even if you are a customer, the meat is too dry and the chicken tastes like tofu.

Every Friday evening, I go out with my friends at Leidseplein, and we always end the evening at the Burger King there. The last few times, I was constantly served cold food, although it was handled well by the staff. So, the service could be a bit better. Last weekend, my friends and I were harassed by a group of boys. The security handled it really well, ensuring we could eat in peace and walk back onto the square quietly. One of the few times I've had such a good experience with security at eateries. Plus points for the security. Otherwise, definitely recommended!

The staff was unbearable; I spent 10 minutes trying to prove that my order was mine because the machine hadn't given me a ticket.

I suffered violence in that place. I bought my food and sat down to eat, but they asked me to eat outside. I got up and started to leave, but for no reason, the security guard threw me down the stairs, and I hit my head on the door. All my food fell on the floor. I was left without food and injured by the security guard. Everyone who saw what happened was incredulous at what I was going through. I had the worst experience in that place.

Having to pay an extra 2 euros for using a flithy and stinky toilet is absolutely ridicolous.

They make more money cheating with deposit cups (not registering them, then making a fuss at the counter) and toilet use (€2 + isn't even kept clean) than on their mediocre food. On top of that, they forgot to put half of it on the tray.

It's unbelievable that you have to pay to use the restroom. Even for children, and even after buying a meal. Thanks to the employee who helped me take my son to the restroom, as it's on the first floor and the only way to access it is by stairs; with a stroller, it's impossible to get up.

I wish I could give this less than one star because this place probably has the worst service I have ever come across in any fast food chain anywhere. You’ll be waiting 20mins for small fries and staff don’t seem to care at all. Also portions are small and overpriced.

Terrible. Waited half an hour for the order. (10 orders ahead of us) Finally received it and everything was cold. We didn't feel like going back to complain. Should have waited another half hour. Never had such a bad BK.
