To the person who just reviewed. Sorry I was under pressure to do everything - be the janitor, the chef, the order taker, the electrician, and so forth. I’m the one who needs to clean the mould everywhere and kill the roaches so they don’t land on your burger.

Wouldn't eat here. Today watched a staff member use the trays to stuff down rubbish in the bins then return the trays for immediate use without washing them. Also observed staff total my bill as 11 euro and put in 40 euro. Never changed it. Absolutely don't give a care about health and hygiene nor the business

In the evening it is a complete mess and your order takes a very long time.

MANAGER MAGGIE Disgusting establishment. I went to get a vanilla shake, and under the machine was a cup collecting all the leaking residue. The guy who went to make my milkshake tried to throw it away, but then the MANAGER, MAGGIE, came and insisted they add it to my shake before filling the cup from the machine. The three of them stood hovering over my milkshake while they poured the old residue into my cup. One of the guys kept nervously looking back at me.

Customers should not pay for restrooms

Taste and quality as you would expect it would be...no more no less. The specific branch had terrible service. I had to go to the desk to place my order, and , they didn't give me the options they had available. And when I wanted to wash my hands in the toilet, they wanted me to pay €1. Awful experience.

Great burger, took too much time for fast food but enjoyed it

I'm a foreigner, and Patricia, a foreign employee, threw me money. I speak little English, but I was as cordial as I could. I'm really taking a bad experience from this trip.

The food is good, much better than the other brnches in centrum. The only problem is air conditioning. No fresh air inside, and always very hot, which makes it impossible to sit and eat there.

I eat here a lot. I have never had any bad experience yet. Staff is also very nice as well.

I was kicked out because I had a cup. I was about to pay the ridiculous 1 EUR for the bathroom as well as order something from the menu. I had a cup in my possession and I wanted to go to the bathroom. The ‘bouncer’ told me In had to leave the cup and I told the “bouncer” that I would leave the cup outside. He told me no and I was escorted out of the building saying, they don’t care allow the cup, I should leave the store, I am not allowed in. All this because I had a cup and wanted something to eat. I was told I couldn’t return although I just asked for the bathroom.

It’s one of the better burger kings, but location is kinda sucky to reach because of traffic. Free parking is nice.

We placed an order around 9 p.m. After receiving our order, a double burger was missing one piece of meat, and a bag of 6 nuggets only contained three nuggets... Pretty glaring errors for an order placed outside of peak hours. Friendly staff, but it's a shame to make such a big mistake in an order. Best regards, French people whose experience at Burger King's Flame was unsatisfactory. Hoping to have a better experience next time at the Burger King, but this time in France.

Burger King on Leidseplein, what takes a long time will eventually be good?!? Unfortunately, not charging 1 euro for the toilet here is very cheeky as a paying customer. The deposit system is not so easy for tourists to understand and use sensibly. My tip: Under no circumstances pay with a card (cash at the checkout), then you get the normal paper cup and don't have to pay a deposit. For food...it's Burger King. Everyone knows what to expect here. The seats at the top of the window are nice with a view over Leidseplein.

Nothing to say, clean place. I didn't really understand the glass deposit system, I didn't get my 2 euros back.

3rd world country Burger King may go bankrupt because it is no longer an honest company. After going there 3 times, our order was cold all 3 times, super cold, fries were cold and the orders were always wrong and every time there were things wrong that we still had to prove...!!! and again an extra long wait until we receive our correct order completely absurd..! We had to fight to get it back and were scolded and treated very aggressively, including the manager, of course this is something you will experience in 3rd world countries, but here in the Netherlands it seems to be as bad as the 3rd world countries.

Honestly one of the best Burger King I've ever eaten at abroad, the food was hot and well cooked, it wasn't bland and the fries were good. Fast food in this country is a valid alternative (unfortunately..) to local food, which is expensive, heavy and which certainly isn't liked by everyone.

I watched the security guards get extremely aggressive with multiple people while I ate my food. They seriously need to be replaced. Won't return even if I wasn't on the receiving end.

I will never go back to a Burger King again. After ordering and before eating, I decided to wash my hands and realized that I had to pay €1 to use the toilet. Let's see, isn't that illegal? That I have a place to eat and have to pay to use the bathrooms? I have never entered a Burger King again in my life!!!

Once and never again have the audacity to pay €1 for the toilet when you eat on site and they are very, very dirty.

Fine if you just want to eat something quickly, but don't expect anything special. The location is super convenient if you are in the center or have just come from a theater or cinema, but it is often busy and chaotic. The staff does their best, but you notice that the pace is high and that is sometimes at the expense of service. My order was correct, but the fries were lukewarm and the burger was a bit sloppily constructed. Quick service and plenty of seating, although it is not a pleasant atmosphere to linger for long. All in all, fine for a quick bite, but not a place I would detour specifically for.

In addition to the fact that the employees treat you like crap, you have to pay for the glass to have your drink (+1) which THEY DO NOT RETURN TO YOU in cash, but in the form of a baucher. If you are a tourist and do not return to Holland for a long time, it is an unfair practice towards customers. And while you consume, you do not have the right to use the bathrooms. That's another euro you have to pay.

Is it just this one or is every burger king this bad? The fries were sloppy, the meat was bad and the price was high. The toilet's were also unsanitary and the janitor did not seem to do anything work-related

It's a Burger King in the middle of Amsterdam, what more is there to say? It was a bit of a mess inside, but I went there Saturday night at 11pm, so what do you expect. The workers were friendly and were trying their best to get all orders out as quickly as possible.

Service is absolutely horrendous! The machines are pushed on you to make an older and if you dare not use it and go to the counter to order you will be firstly ignored then very rudely served (if you can call it that) they clearly don't like interacting with customers in anyway shape or form, never have I come across and establishment with such rude staff! They also got orders wrong a fanta is just that fanta not dirty dishwater tasting coke that I literally threw away!

Wanted to see if the burgers tasted the as the ones in the states...THEY DO!! Yum..

Doing real bacon on a veggie long chicken. That is reckless and wastefull. Not only for the animal but what if I had an allergy and didn't notice? Do better.

Serving Chicken Nuggets as veggie nuggets and then complain if you request to change them. Very disappointing.

I don't recommend it, it's the worst fast food in town. The manager, a certain Tom Vismeg, did not open the door to the toilet for me because I had a problem with contactless payment at the gate, even though my card works, I ordered a small meal there, ok, there may be nothing for Mr. Tommy, but I think I have the right to use the toilet. I have the impression that there is black racism here. And one more thing, the toilet now costs 1 euro, and they also force you to buy a cup for 1 euro, they don't have paper ones.

The usual Burger King, the only note is that for drinks you have to buy a glass for €1. When you return it they give you a voucher which I tried to redeem at another Burger King but without success.

Drama. Cup machine to get your deposit back never works. Ordered cheeseburger, took 15 minutes. Been a few times, long waiting times and cold food.

The worst Burger King I've ever been to. Very expensive, long wait, and you have to pay for the toilet even if you're a customer, a disgrace.

Mediocre experience. I will say the food was prepared pretty well, although not incredibly warm, it was well prepared so no complaints there. Staff was not super friendly. They're in zombie mode, which is fine but when you ask them something you hardly get an answer. I'd say one was friendly, another indifferent and another rude. Price was pretty steep for what you get. Two burgers a medium drink and fry with sauce almost runs you 20 euros. Kind of annoying that they give you a reusable cup when eating indoors. It costs an extra euro and then to get your money back you have to use a machine which doesn't work. So you have to go to the front and ask for the return. It's pretty cramped with all the tourists milling about in there, so not a great experience overall. For my money I would rather go to the chippy king around the corner. 8 euros for a huge fry would have been a better deal. Kinda left the BK feeling cheated out of some money.

worst service in my entire life, I bought a hamburger without sauce, I spent 20 minutes looking at my hamburger hidden behind the cash register because the employee who served me forgot or didn't want to remember, she put 30 orders in front of me and I waited and ate the cold hamburger. Last time I enter this place. The employee's name is Joyce.

We ordered a cheeseburger xxl (with bacon, without pickle and ketchup), twister fries L, strawberry milkshake, Big King, twister fries M and an Oreo Milk and 2 king Fusions. We had to wait a long time for our food. When picking up the 2 ice creams were missing, first got 1, but had to push through a bit to get the other one. Because we had to wait a long time, the food became cold again. The cheeseburger did have the pickle and ketchup, so back to the counter. We got a sandwich, with 2 hamburgers and 2 slices of cheese, without mustard or bacon. In addition, the strawberry milkshake had an extremely chemical taste, and barely any strawberry in it. And the fries had an L and should have been an M but it was 2x M We ate cold fries and another burger and half finished the ice cream and we left the rest because we were done with it. All bad. It should have been a nice evening, but it was somewhat ruined by this. Very unfortunate!

I don't give it a lower score because I can't. I find it SHAMEMOUS that having consumed in the premises you cannot access the bathroom WITHOUT paying. It should be non-negotiable. I understand it for non-consumers, but it is abusive to have to pay when you have already left your money in the business. I hope one day someone has diarrhea after some of your beloved hamburgers, you're welcome.

Very bad service. Hindustani and African ladies do not feel like working and cannot even help customers. I was sent away here for the 2nd time without being able to order anything. With such unmotivated women, many customers will stay away! Sad!

I ordered milkshakes for my sister and my girlfriend, then I asked for lids. But I didn't have that when we walked to the tram and had to throw away our milkshakes because you are not allowed on the tram without a lid on your cup. Was VERY angry about this.

You pay for the glass, you pay to go to the bathroom and on top of that the burger is dry, the fries are cold and...... THEY HAVE NO BEER!!!!

It rarely happens that I write a review, but I am now making an exception for this fast food restaurant. I'm mainly concerned about the service and the deposit. The food is as you would expect from a fast food restaurant. But the service is quite substandard: no friendliness, a very long wait for the order to be ready and we only got the deposit back for two of the 7 cups, after waiting a long time because the deposit machine was broken. And this treatment did not only apply to us during the time we were there. In short, not a fast food joint to return to anytime soon.

It's a typical Burger King but the biggest flaw is the fact they make you pay 1€ for the toilets inside even though you ordered food.

The restaurant is clean but the products cool quickly and the staff is very unpleasant. The icing on the cake is that you have to pay for toilets, even if you drink on site!

Very disappointing experience at the Burger King on Leidseplein. My friend, who has a walking disability, was initially not allowed to find a table on the first floor, even though it was better suited for him. After ordering, we were finally allowed upstairs, but then the security guard caused an unnecessary conflict just because I told my friends they could join me. The whole situation felt strange and unwelcoming. When it came to the food, the staff were rude and unhelpful. I tried to carry all our trays to the table because my friend obviously couldn’t help, but I was told I wasn’t allowed to take them all at once. This meant I had to go back and forth multiple times, which was frustrating and unnecessary. The food itself was below average. The burgers were poorly made and cold by the time I got everything upstairs. Overall, the lack of care for customers, especially those with disabilities, and the poor quality of food made this a very bad experience. I hope the staff and management improve both their service and their attitude.

Slow, pretending not to be able to refund cash when other burger king do that , manager arrogant and tend to lose time instead of helping the customer. And all of this for 1 euro for the policy of plastic glasses . Service less then zero, the manager could need an update and some education lessons.

The schedule is not correct. It says it closes at 3 am but at 10 pm they told us that we had to leave because they closed at 10 pm. Other people ordered and ate at that time. Even though we consumed 3 people, we had to pay separately for the bathroom.

I feel I was kind of scammed today and blamed for my loss. I came with 2 vegetarische slager coupons to this branch. I followed the instructions on the totem and when inserted the second code (as I was with my partner), I got the message that only one would be accepted per order. As I moved with the second code to another totem, my code was given invalid. I tried to solve with the staff, the manager came to me and said that this is how it works and it’s done - once you type a code in the machine it’s gone forever, even if you couldn’t finish your order. First she said “you should know that at BK you can only do one code at a time”. There was nothing about that in ANY of the instructions or any part of the machine’s software. Then she proceeded to tell me I don’t know this because I am not from here. Well. I am and I redeem multiple codes from another competitor’s app all the time in the same order. Then, not satisfied she said the people come there all the time trying to scam with reused codes, implying I was tried to scam them. And this given I opened the packages with the code in front of them. So I left without food. Not great.

I witnessed the woman’s experience who posted below and the server was violent and had to be physically restrained by fellow employees. The manager did nothing. I would never step foot in this restaurant again, in fact, it put me off all Burger King restaurants. If they hire people like this woman, customers are not safe.

Classic BK like in France, however not very clean and the toilets are chargeable despite consumption. Forgot a burger in the order. You have to pay for the sauces even when you order Nuggets. Fast and efficient service.

The kiosk we tried to order at first was broken but this only became obvious when it was time to pay. It had no out of order sign on it. There were two employees at the front putting the finishing touches on the orders despite the place being pretty busy. One was very positive, the other was dragging her feet and looked like she’d rather be anywhere else. You have to pay €1 for a reusable cup, but the machine to return them wasn’t working. In the end, we just left ours behind because there were also no employees available to speak to. It costs €0.8 to use the toilet, and they were dirty. At the end of the day, it’s Burger King, but I felt ripped off by this one.

That's the only place in whole world that made me eat pork although i didnt want it. I select grill master double under the beef section and asked me about selection of cheese and bacon, i select zero bacon considering it could be pork and one cheese. While i was eating i noticed that it has bacon inside, asked whether it is pork, the dtaff answered as yes. They tried to explain me the situation as it shows bacon on the picture. I have been to germany twice, france many times, belgium, england, italy twice, romania, bulgaria, thailand, indonesia and several MENA countries etc. Burger king is the only company that doesnt respect muslim puts a menu with bacon under beef section and wirhout any explanation. It is like tricking, on picture there is the bacon staff tried to explain me. Btw, i am very happy wiyh staff attitude , they did all they can do but burger king and it is order machine doesnt respect and care for muslims. I cannot pursue this but if i was living in Netherlands, i would definitely sue Burger King. P.s. i am not someone who is very religious and not eating pork was the only rule i have been following, thanks Burger King Netherlands and your disrespectful attitude.

Server was extremely rude, threw food upside down, then called me an expletive when I mentioned it. Flew across the counter and hit my hand. I asked to speak to the manager because no one should be treated that way by a server. He was just as nasty, refused to review footage, or reprimand the server who was screaming and had to be held back by 2 male employees. She was violent, insane, and should not be working in customer service. I had my camera audio on for my own protection and the manager threatened to call the police and have me arrested for "filming" which I was not doing, yet they have cameras everywhere. This was a horrible, frightening experience, and Burger King Corporate should be aware of the types of things going on in their franchises. So many bad reviews on this location. This is a tourist-dependent business, and the staff was unprofessional and one was actually scary. Don't take your children to this location. The "manager" could not give a toss.

My daughter wanted a plain chicken burger which we ordered on the screen. They gave us one with everything, then argued that we selected the wrong options. Disgraceful.
