Burger King in Bijlmer Centrum (D,F,H)

About the worst burger king experience you can imagine, we ordered food for 2 at the register to eat inside the restaurant. Then when we want to sit down we are essentially told to go away and take it outside. They stacked all the chairs on the tables 3 full hours before closing time and would not let us sit down.

New modernized screens are installed that don’t accept the codes from the BK app? Missing half of the regular menu, personal doesn’t speak Dutch.

Man is working wearing a “Gucci” cap and thinks he’s the boss here. Too bizarre. Literally tells me to get lost because I’m asking a question. The ladies are friendly, but this man is really too unfriendly and rude.

Always filthy. Ussualy understaffed. Noticed lately sometimes the self order kiosks straight up REMOVE the lower cost items on the menu, not because their sold out but to essentially upsell as they all use the same ingredients. Or should I say building blocks. Won't be returning unfortunately to this specific location.

Nice place to grab a bite on the station. It looks to me they have only short version of menu for burgerkings though. Also there was a problem with checks printer in the machine, but staff give away the order based on photo of the screen with no problem.

Searching for a job where you hardly have to work? Look no further! Critical thinking not needed! We waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for a couple of standard burgers. Yes, it was during a Ajax match, but since the redesign and the possibility of self-ordering instead of at the counter, they accept waaaay too many order for them to process. And the order they receive? Never seen people work with so little intent and haste as here. I know there should be a little wait time during peak hours, but this is the most absurd situation I've ever experienced. The people working here should either get out or get working. ANYONE AWAKE HERE??

I walk in on a warm day to order food and a nice cold milkshake. I stand at the Easy Order counter and order chicken nuggets 9 with sweet and sour sauce, and I want to order large fries, but I can only order a small one. I want to order a milkshake, but it isn't on the Easy Order screen. I walk to the counter and say, "Hey, can't I order a milkshake?" I get very bad Dutch with a very strong Surinamese accent in response: "Not a milkshake, it's not good." So I press on with a questioning look: "What do you mean 'not good'?" I get an answer: "Yes, you understand that, right? The machine isn't good." I say, "I have no idea what you meant by that." So I want to order a Coke with it, but I can only get a small one and not a large one, not even at the counter. I think, "Oh, never mind. I'll just order fries and chicken nuggets, and I'll have a drink again when I'm further away." I arrive at my car, not even 50 meters away. I take a portion of fries and burn my mouth so hot, I think, oh well, I'll just let them cool down a bit. I'll take the chicken nuggets first and occasionally a portion of fries with them once they've cooled down. And what do you think? The chicken nuggets were ice cold, the crust as old as the hills, as if they'd been sitting in the bin for 6 hours. I walk back and get a big mouthful of "Yeah, what am I supposed to do about it?" I say, "How about giving them my new ones?" Yeah, we're not getting into that. I walked out, once I walked out, tough luck for you! She turns around and goes to continue talking to her colleagues about how much fun she had with her one-night stand last night, which makes me think, do that in private instead of at work. I actually didn't want to give any stars at all, but this is just truly customer unfriendly. I just threw everything straight onto the counter and said, "Eat it yourself then. Have fun." This is a real waste of my money. If you don't feel like working, then you shouldn't stand here with your grumpy face either.

There is absolutely no pace here. Definitely do not come here during Ajax matches, unless you are only coming for the whistle.

Avoid this Burger King. Long wait times, food in a paper bag despite the sign saying: eat inside, full, packaging left everywhere and food on tables, unfriendly responses when I asked why I didn't get points when ordering (“We don’t do points”), fries just loose in the bag. Absolutely not up to the standard of the other Burger Kings we have been to. Incidentally, this seems to be a trend among businesses in the entertainment district around the ArenA: no interest in the customer. You are treated like a disposable product.

The average funeral has better food and atmosphere.

The food arrived lukewarm to cold. I ordered a cheese Whopper, but received one without. I had a Sprite Zero and received a Coke with ice cubes that were almost completely melted. Very disappointing for the high delivery costs!!!

Very disappointing experience. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. I regularly use Burger King coupons without any issues, but this time they refused to scan my valid coupon and offered no reasonable explanation. It felt like we were being scammed and treated with complete disrespect. Customer service was terrible, and the employees were unprofessional throughout the visit. Looking at the overall rating, it's easy to understand why this Burger King has less than 3 stars. I definitely won't be coming back.

After eating the veggie burger and veggie chicken nuggets, I got stomach cramps and a stomach ache. The next day I started having diarrhea and bloating, and today (3 days later) I also vomited. ☠️

I WANT MY MONEY BACK I ordered a Whopper, 2 L fries, BBQ sauce and mayo. My Whopper was cold, we only received 1 L of fries, we had no mayo, the fries were undercooked, so yes I want my money back and no my food is not cold because I had to walk a long way to my hotel because that was less than 5 min. It takes 15 minutes or more to receive your food, even if there are no other people around.

Limited offering (event stand) without an event taking place. The doors at the AFAS don't open for another 5 hours. Nothing at the Ziggo tonight, and nothing at the Arena either. What event stand?

It's midnight, the store is closing soon. We successfully made our way through the meter-long queue. Our order was canceled by the system twice. Absolutely ridiculous...

Most of the employees here are extremely rude and looking like they hate their life. Especially the lady in the photo, she refused to take any of my coupon deals without any explanation, and I have always been able to use them. I also ordered my burgers without pickles and the request was ignored. There are better restaurants around with better service.

The screens did not work during the ordering process, long lines

The man and woman serving orders after the concert on 17 May should not work in hospitality. They are two of the rudest people I've ever had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting. Arrogant, unhelpful, confrontational, no manners, slow.

Ever since the refurbishment/renewal you cannot use the QR codes anymore and also they don’t have the “Eurovlammers”. Big downgrade 👎 Either this or the staff is lying, but result is same: this location that isn’t special in any way acts like the one at the Schiphol airport by not allowing coupons/using your account to get points and the Eurovlammers

We arrived 35 minutes before closing and ordered a veggie burger and veggie nuggets to go at the self-order kiosk. After placing our order, we waited in line with the other customers for the food to be prepared. Suddenly, one of the employees started yelling that they were closing and tried to force out customers who were still waiting for their orders. Several items that had already been ordered and paid for were apparently no longer available, so the staff tried to substitute veggie items with meat products just to get people to leave. The whole situation felt very chaotic, and the employees were aggressive and rude throughout. When it was finally our turn, one employee told us to wait a moment while they quickly prepared our veggie nuggets. By then, we were the last customers in the store, and all the doors had already been locked. Eventually, we received the nuggets, but not the burger we had also paid for. We did not receive a refund. 20 minutes before the official closing time we left. Definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here after a concert, if ever.

Horrible service. Ordered 29 nuggets and got 2 sauces, apparently this is normal as we werent given the rest of our sauces when asked?

The restaurant has a limited menu, rather slow service, and few seats. The advantage is its convenient location right next to the train station and metro.

Worst BK ever! Staff rude and not interested in guests. Hygiene was practically non-existent and they looked unkempt! Ordered a veggie burger and in the end, there was a hair in it! At first they made a fuss and then he just said... what do you want me to do? And that's supposed to be a manager. People, don't eat there! They don't even deserve a star, pff.

The new design and layout is awesome. It no longer feels cramped or busy. And the order machines are really nice.

This Burger King is located right next to the train station (Arena) in Amsterdam. The food was okay, but nothing special. The service was okay. The atmosphere was awful. Many tables weren't cleared and weren't clean. The whole restaurant could be cleaner.

No actions, not in line with the app, trash cans full, food lukewarm

This experience was so dramatic that I almost skipped my entire concert and went home. Why can't they form a normal line in this place? Besides, the food was also mediocre. Well, I didn't expect much from Burger King, but I'm still extremely disappointed to order a whopper with cheese and then receive a whopper without.

If I could, I'd give zero stars. This Burger King has absolutely nothing to do with the name "King." "King" means the customer is king. That's not the case here. Here, the customer is a slave to themselves. We wanted to order a green meal, and there were green burgers on the counter, but they weren't given to us. How is that even possible? It's outrageous! Absolutely unacceptable!

Although the service was as mentioned in previous reviews pretty slow to say the least the food was good and tasted really. So I am quite relieved by that. But for a 'Fast Food' establishment it can really up their game.

Bad BK here in Bijlmer. The burgers are cold and lack flavor. Other BKs add pickles, onions, and tomatoes to the burger. Forget that here. The display says "mayo or ketchup included." Forget that too. You're charged €0.75 each. All in all, a very bad experience.

Amazingly fast. After events, it is crowded but they are working so quick in other times. Several times, they quickly prepared my burgers

I stopped by during a quick trip to Amsterdam. The food was what you'd expect from a Burger King, nothing particularly surprising. However, the service was quite slow for fast food, and the organization seemed a bit disorganized. The restaurant wasn't very clean when I was there, which didn't help the experience. It's fine when you're in a hurry, but overall it's just average for a chain of this type.

Got a burger that was made with no effort and had to wait 15 minutes for 2 regular burgers while I was the only one in the restaurant.

I hadn't made a reservation. That turned out to be no problem. The Whopper arrives without ceremony, wrapped in paper, like an object that has abandoned all self-reflection. The beef is aggressively smoky, not so much grilled as touched by fire. The sauce is ostentatiously present, a sticky vulgarity that skillfully smothers every nuance. The vegetables fulfill their role without ambition; freshness as an administrative task. The curly fries are culinary baroque: overly seasoned, meandering, a theatrical excess without intellect. One eats them not out of desire, but out of mild masochism. Finally, the milkshake: a cold emulsion of sugar and nostalgia, possesses the brutal honesty of a product that refuses to grow up. Artificial, but undeniably effective. Verdict: This isn't a meal; it's a statement of resistance to taste, refinement, and civilization. And yet: it's consistent, confident, and completely unconcerned with my disapproval. An experience. Not a recommendation.

Need to explain the concept of ‘fast’ food here

The burgers are okay but they all taste the same. And the fries taste like English fries, it's probably the oil. If Burger King had McDonald's sauces and fries it'd be so much better than either of them

The worst Burger King ever. They're never out of stock. Yesterday they were selling menus without fries because they were sold out, and the fries sauces too...without a discount. A week before, the cheeseburgers were also sold out. They also never deliver your complete order. I ordered two Fuze Tea Peach and one Fanta. The employee gave me three colas. I had to return them, and I still got the wrong drinks. It seems like they don't understand you at the cash register. Such a shame.

Burger King on 23-12-25 delivered unacceptable service and damaged the brand. Fries were sold out, which was communicated, but staff showed zero concern or effort to resolve the issue. Despite this, they still charged full price for a menu that includes fries. I paid for a product that was not delivered. Taking money while knowingly not providing part of the menu is unacceptable and feels like stealing. No alternative, no refund, no care. To make it worse, the receipt was handwritten on paper instead of being properly printed. This location operates far below Burger King standards and should be ashamed.

The cheese wasn't melted, everything was lukewarm, and the drinks were fine. They forgot the fries. We even had a visit from a beggar who started begging throughout the restaurant. People behind the counter don't speak Dutch, but that's just the location. We didn't have to wait long for our food.

Poor service. Inexperienced staff, half of whom didn't even speak Dutch and didn't know how to act. No proper receipt with an order number. The place was dirty and messy. They didn't have the full selection. Coupons couldn't be scanned or registered, so no points were added to the BK app. Menu changes weren't possible either. The manager was also rude and unhelpful. The list goes on.

Just a simple, small location. The food was in October. The only downside was that after receiving our menus, we saw there was a special offer on Red Bull. When we asked about this, we were told we would have to order a menu. When we pointed to our menus, the response remained the same. A bit of a shame, but it was what it was.

The cheerfulness is absolutely palpable, ahem. They only speak broken English, and the burgers were cold before they even hit the table. They don't even know what they're giving you, and you miss half of it, so you have to keep going back for the rest. What a mess. This was my first and last time at the Burger King in the Arena.

The Google reviews made us a little hesitant, but we decided to give it a try anyway. We totally regret that. We were there on a Sunday afternoon around 12:45. Super clean. Nice music in the background (not too loud, which was really nice). The service was prompt and friendly (just in Dutch). They don't have a computerized pickup system; they simply write your number on the receipt and call out your number when the order is ready: the system works perfectly. When ordering, we ordered individual chicken nuggets, fries, and a menu with drinks (without sauce). Once at the table, I noticed that mayo had been added to the menu (which I didn't mind). When the order was ready, they had two drinks ready. We were about to give them back when the employee came over to us to notice that we had an extra drink; but she said, "Keep it, enjoy." That was very kind. (She did speak English at the time, but it wasn't annoying at all.) The fries were delicious, really well-fried. The Wopper and chicken nuggets are also absolutely fantastic. I don't understand the bad reviews: maybe it's just bad luck. The only downside: there's no restroom. (Although I personally find the restrooms at fast-food chains often very dirty...)

Coupons are almost never accepted, even though the terms and conditions state that they should work.

We haven't had such bad fast food in years. 6 chicken nuggets with curly fries. Ordering isn't possible in Dutch, which makes it impersonal. But the price-quality ratio is appalling. €8 is incredibly high. Never again Burger King. Tip: Management: make sure they have Dutch-speaking staff.

Incredibly rude customer service. Wanted to ask for some water for someone that was dehydrated, was told that they don't sell water and that I would have to order it (how does that make any sense). And immediately after the cashier yelled NEXT. The Heineken bar on the other side of the plaza was kind enough to give us some water.

What complete chaos. Yes, it's late at night, but there was another employee who could help or open another register while two less-than-pleasant customers were yelling at the only cashier. Now a lot of other people have no food. Thanks.

Great Burger King at the station! The staff is usually friendly, but not always. The only thing missing is a restroom, but there's one in the station, so that's not a big deal. The atmosphere is good, and there's plenty of seating! Note: coupons don't work here; you have to go to a different Burger King restaurant for those, but otherwise, it's great!

Service at Bijlmer Arena today was extremely poor; it was crowded. There were two employees at the ticket counter, probably new to the line, who needed help with everything. Absolutely terrible. The manager who was there was also confused; we had to switch lines, which meant we had to stand at the back of a new line.

It's a very busy area, and they don't have self-service machines. It's very small, and we waited in line for over 30 minutes. When I got to the cheesy chicken bacon option I chose, the cashier told me he'd only get what was in the ads behind him. So I didn't know what to order anymore, and I was really annoyed rushing around. Terrible service.

The worst Burger King in the Netherlands. Terrible service. We ordered one thing, and they gave us everything they wanted. We tried to order a separate coupon, but they didn't give us anything. They charged us for a large meal without us asking. They treated us rudely and as if it was our fault when the girl did what she wanted. If you don't like working, don't work there. Burger King's facilities from the 2000s are terrible.

This place used to be a good one, but now the service is total trash... I went twice today, they were so slow that I left to the cinema. I would like to congrat the company for hiring employees with such politeness and sense of care for guests.we had a meal and Mavis,I think is her name,was the sweetest most caring person.she was watching me waiting for my friend and asked if I needed take away and to check if my fries were still warm so to replace them. Congrats Burger King.i hope you take care of employees like them.
