Burger King in Wijk 00 Centrum

The food is good and in my opinion it is reasonably priced for Maastricht, the big flaw I unfortunately found was the lack of cleanliness at the tables and secondly the speed of service (even if on this I would say they are not too slow)

I was unhappy with my visit to Burger King. The burgers were bland and arrived cold. They had no flavor, tasted of nothing. The drinks tasted almost like water. Furthermore, there were about 15 orders ahead of me, which meant a long wait. For me, this wasn't a good experience.

Waited 20 minutes and the food was inedible

What a terrible restaurant. The staff at the counter were disinterested. The restrooms were incredibly dirty, and the restaurant area wasn't clean either. The food was lukewarm.

Then you're astonished to see that more than 20 orders after yours are delivered earlier. With exactly the same contents... staff that can't crack a smile, and when you politely ask how this is possible, they shrug their shoulders with complete disinterest. The worst Burger King in the Netherlands is in the market square in Maastricht. The restrooms and the floor were a mess. In short, save yourself the frustration and eat somewhere else.

The opening hours are wrong. On a sunday evening I was hoping to get some fries, I happily went to burger king and i was ashamed to find out it was closed even when the website said open.

I arrived at the restaurant on November 25, 2025 at 8:53 PM and found it closed. I don't know why, and it said it closes at 10:00 PM.

Drove an extra trip from Nuth to Maastricht for Burger King. It was supposed to close at 11:00 PM upon arrival (10:08 PM, unfortunately closed). This is a real shame!

This is the most disgusting Burger King I've ever seen. Disgusting men's restroom. Completely worn-out furniture in the utility room. A disgrace.

Expectations are not huge.. but this one is by far the worst BK ive ever visited.. the Franchise owner should understand not cleaning wont magicaly make it better over time. Lady behind the counter was friendly..

Today I had a great experience in this BK. Food was warm and tasty, everything was clean (didn't test the toilets tho). I spilled my drink by accident and they instantly remade it for free. Thank you for the great service and food.

We waited a long time for our order. Why doesn't the staff have their hair tied up or don't they have any hats? Also, when there was a big queue, the girl at the cashier turned her back to the hall and was doing something on her phone. I don't know if this is normal or not?

Don’t go there. I lived next to this place and watched it being run down over the last 13 years. No chairs and broken dirty interior, and it looks like the work is done by teenagers only. License should be revoked. Posting the review to ensure the rating goes even lower than 3,5 which is misleading. Haven’t gone in the past year and will never ever visit again.

Never again an option for me. A woman behind the counter named Yasin, who didn't speak Dutch, treated me like some kind of prisoner. She rolled her eyes, provided poor service, and didn't even have the decency to say "bon appétit" or anything else. Everything was just shoved in my hands.

The floor is extremely dirty. The tables aren't clean either. You can't even sit on the toilet because the toilet seat is in the trash. The upstairs seating area was closed even though it was busy, and people had to stand to eat.

A small, somewhat dated Burger King branch. The food is good, the staff is friendly. A bit annoying about Burger King is that you're always addressed in English. I think that's just policy. I think Maastricht is still in the Netherlands, and the main language should be Dutch. If you notice someone doesn't speak Dutch, you can always switch to Dutch. I don't have a problem with English myself, but being routinely addressed in English in Dutch restaurants and shops is just incredibly annoying. Speak Dutch to me in the Netherlands, except, of course, for people who don't speak it.

Waiting more than 20 min for 1 burger

Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time for our order, even though the place wasn’t crowded. The staff seemed to move very slowly, and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes. It isn’t “fast” food 😞

One of the dirtiest Burger King restaurants I've ever visited. The floor was sticky, the upholstery was badly damaged, and about half the menu items were marked "sold out." Outside, there were only two broken tables and barely three usable chairs. Since there were only two ordering kiosks, wait times were inevitable. This restaurant desperately needs a thorough cleaning and a comprehensive upgrade. We ultimately decided to go to McDonald's instead.

Had to wait 25 minutes, fries were still raw, hamburger was overcooked, cola was watery, service was also far below normal, tables were dirty. A waste of money, unfortunately, that was the worst I've ever experienced. I don't understand how this is still allowed by BK. Unfortunately, I can't give negative stars at any point. Such a shame.

It takes them 5+mins per order to make, fast food at it’s best

I love flame-grilled, so plenty of choice in that area, but at this address I have often stood in front of a closed door because the manager opened too late. Too bad, if you have a busy schedule and want to grab something quickly after your morning work. Also, the vibe is clearly a bit more simplistic than at McDonalds.

Staff super slow, I got takeaway once and had to wait 2 hours for my food

Worst burger king ever eaten. Kerkrade much better. Staff not friendly at all wanted to order only answer I got was not now. Finally able to order after 10 minutes later. Fries had a very strange aftertaste burgers were also not what you are normally used to. very dirty place everything is just really filthy. Benches where you are allowed to sit completely worn out and dirty. After the toilet you better not go there either.

Ehhh... It's mediocre, at best. Service is fine (they did mess up with giving me single-use cups instead of reusable, but were quick to fix it), but the food is just too pricy for what you get (as with most fast food nowadays). Only get from here if you got a coupon from the app that REALLY brings down the price, but even then, it still feels like you're paying more than you should. You'd be able to make a burger and fries and home for a fraction of the cost, and it'd be way better in every aspect too.

Overall poor experience. The service left much to be desired: the employees seemed unmotivated and unprofessional. My glass was sticky, half filled with ice cubes – so not much soda – while my companion's contained none. So-called “reusable” glasses did not inspire any confidence in their cleanliness. It is impossible to order at the terminal then pay in cash at the counter: you have to repeat everything orally. The terminals, moreover, only offer two languages: Dutch and English, which is not the case with the competition. The worst Burger King I have ever visited. Roof was leaking onto the tables, floors and chairs in yne upstairs seating area, NO DINE IN OPTION. Basically takeaway to table. Really not what you would expect from a Burger King franchise. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Crazy tactic for such a big chain. They offer a coupon for 20 nuggets (regular or vegetarian), but you can’t actually order it because the item is marked as “unavailable.” However, you can still order the same nuggets in smaller portions without any issue (just without the coupon). On top of that, the place was also dirty.

Whoever owns this burger king should be locked up, one of the uncleanest establishments next to KFC. The fact there's one 1 burger king in maastricht and they can not even keep it clean or replenished, You would honestly catch a disease sitting in there

As always, the food is simply delicious. Service is really good. Atmosphere is pretty bad, kids screaming and it's dirty.

Burgers were very greasy and bread was very wet. Place was not cleaned at all. Seats were worn, pieces of leather were missing and the bottom fabric was full of stains, so much so that I didn't dare sit on them. Top floor table was full of dust and floor was not clean. I won't go there again!

Burger King: the place of soggy hamburgers. I give the staff plenty of credit, the same goes for the food. I especially like the discount codes, especially compared to those of the yellow M. The layout of the store is debatable. I think they are trying to go for a minimalist look. All the tables upstairs have been demolished and the walls have been stripped bare. The benches seem rotten, perhaps because of the many king farts left on them. You can also see places in the shop where something should once have hung/sat. Yet the business also has an unexpected advantage: it is an oasis of peace, because the music is not present. For me it's just bite, swallow and go.

Fast service and a standard Burger King experience. The burgers are as you would expect, tasty and freshly prepared. The location is easily accessible and there is sufficient seating space. Sometimes it can be busy, which makes the waiting time a little longer, but in general the service remains smooth. A great place for a quick bite in Maastricht!

When I go to a fast food restaurant, expectations are not very high, but anyway, Burger King is usually a good option. However, the location on the Grote Markt Maastricht was a culinary disaster of apocalyptic proportions. First of all, the bacon was cold, and when I asked them to resolve the situation, they put the burger in the microwave with all the salad, bun and everything in it, and completely destroyed it. Total incompetence, not only as a chef, because there are certainly no chefs there, but logically any thinking person realizes that such a thing cannot be done.

the ground floor has 4 tables, we came to eat at 7:30 p.m. and we were pushed to eat in the street because they refuse to give access to the room on the first floor because they don't want to have to take care of it. Deplorable. one customer even ended up eating on the windowsill….

I wanted to order on Uber eats on top of the extra crazy fees charges that are another subject - I have been waiting for my order for ONE HOUR and then the order got canceled. You can better thing another option if you really want to end up with food…. I placed an order beyond the additional delivery costs, clearly higher than what is practical - I waited an hour late before the order was completely canceled - If your goal is to actually eat at all, I really recommend avoiding ordering from them. This had never happened to me

It's a fast food restaurant. So what do you expect? Well the workers do more than enough to make your purchase acceptable. They deserve a raise honestly. Much better than the big M or the chicken shop a few houses down. All those other shops just want you gone. The Burger King here is always glad to see regulars around.

Phew, now where should I start? I don't expect much from a fast food chain but I won't be visiting this branch again. Very run down and dirty - especially the toilets. The waiting time here is beyond good and bad. This is certainly mainly due to poor planning, but the employees didn't seem to be making an effort and were just strolling leisurely through the kitchen. 20 minutes waiting time for a burger and onion rings - and then the food was cold... Hey guys, eat at the competition from the Golden M (opposite Zara, freshly prepared, warm food and permanent staff) or go directly to one of the surrounding restaurants (recommend the small Vietnamese one about 3 minutes away).

Worst Burger King ever eaten! And anything but hygienic! Not to mention the toilets, absolutely disgusting! The urine stench was overwhelming. And the staff was there exactly against their liking. Never again! We now regularly go to Burger King, but never again!!

28/12/2024: order 131 around 7:30 PM: 1 large menu Duo Bacon Cheese Double with bacon cheese fries, large fuze tea and 1 coupon: 2 crispy chicken burgers with fries and 0.40 drink coca cola: everything was fine except for one thing: no Duo Bacon Cheese Double but a hamburger instead and I paid €19.30 for all this!

Food was as you expect at Burger King. The employee behind the counter was very friendly! However, the sofas were very broken and worn, the men's toilets and the floor in the restaurant were not clean.

The nuggets were dark so in me instead of trash, they were reheated for at least the second time in fat and curly fries, worthless leftovers. Last time I wanted a Grillmaster whiskey against closure, it was also too much to ask. I no longer complain to staff. Better get out into the wide world.

What you see is not what you get.... 1 pathetic slice of tomato, after a good search 2 slices of pickle, oh yes I did not find the cheese.... and yes, I looked carefully among the 3 grams of lettuce.... what a mockery and that for 9 euros...

A disappointing experience. I ordered a beef burger, but it wasn’t served hot — not even warm. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant was concerning. During our 30-40 minute stay, a large portion of the stairs was covered in a spilled drink, and no staff attended to it. The upper floor also had areas that were unusable due to dirt, and the floor was sticky throughout the upper floor, making it uncomfortable to walk. The seating outside was limited compared to other nearby restaurants, and there were no restrooms available, even for basic handwashing. Overall, I believe this location could benefit from improvements in cleanliness, staff presence, and seating arrangements.

Bathroom on a ground floor, dark, almost without light, with super steep stairs. We are Spanish and they charged us €3 for the reusable cups, which they did not say anywhere in English as they had to do to get our money back. Had to wait more than 10 minutes for a coffee that I ordered at the kiosk. First the coffee was put in a disposable cup while I paid for a reusable one. Just pour them coffee! Only to realize that it is the wrong coffee. I ordered a latte and got black coffee. When I made a comment, the boy at the counter said that the milk was at the bottom due to pouring. Ridiculous! Finally, after more than fifteen minutes, I was finally able to walk outside with my coffee. Besides, it wasn't that busy that afternoon. The staff seemed very lethargic and uninterested and just muddled around. The fast in fast food was very hard to find 👎

The food is decent but the service and overall atmosphere sucks. They always forget something, so you have to double check the bag if you ordered take away. Also, the staff is very slow and looks depressed. Only the manager seems to do the work.

They only speak English and the staff is not approachable the food was almost cold I got fewer things with my order and I think that is a waste of my money and the staff is on their phone while they are standing at the counter and the staff is eating/ just drinks in the kitchen and afterwards the drinks are simply placed in someone's order and that is really disgusting, really a bad business that should simply be closed or taken over by another boss and manager and other staff

Dreadful BK, franchise should be closed down. Staff not interested, surlry and rude., more intrested in chading people to pay 50c for toilet. The food was definitely not the standard expected, over cooked chicken and brown cut edges on lettuce, drinks not right both were full sugar , slowest order makeup ever. Dirty grubby restaurant, worn out (see pic) Burger king, you can do better and for €26.10 defo not worth the money. I'm interested to hear your response to this.

It took a really long time for anyone to get their food. Staff was not very cheerful, but I wouldn't be either if I worked there for minimum wages, staff only spoke English which is not a problem for me, but for many people it is as it is a bit inconvenient.
