Café Kuyl in Grachtengordel-Zuid

Went here a few times for drinks... They were fine though nothing special. The service was rather rude every time.

Worst employer in the Netherlands, and worst café.

It was the second day of Christmas, and actually quite boring inside. There were 3 or 4 tables and hardly any service seen. The food was okay. Outside it was very cozy at the Rembrandtplein with the ice rink in front of the door. Maybe they are normally closed on Christmas?

We ordered coffee and beer. Excellent staff, cozy atmosphere.

Ate with colleagues. Friendly service, passionate about the food, which was simple yet tasty. The stew and chicken burger in particular stood out.

Good restaurant and nice terrace but if you are French don't ask for bread, with us it's normal to have some on the table for free, here it's 4.50 euros extra to pay...

Service, beer and snacks were good. Crispy chicken should be renamed to Crispy heart attack. I could not find any chicken, just layers on top of layers deep fried whatever that was

Server Mica provided good service. I ordered Bittergarnituur and Nachos. Spouse ordered Schnitzel. Food was quickly served and tasted ok. The inside atmosphere is pleasant and the location in the historic square is desirable.

Great address in Amsterdam, on a dynamic square and close to the city center. A good atmosphere, super friendly waiters, a hearty and well-cooked plate to share, board games available: nothing to complain about, we highly recommend! 🇨🇵

Nice, cozy restaurant with dining options. Some special beers on tap. But they weren't my cup of tea, but that's a matter of taste. Nice service. I had fries with stew. The fries tasted okay. Recommended for a short, centrally located break. Quiet and cozy.

Went in for something hot to drink yesterday afternoon, as it was raining, and had a hot chocolate. The bar is very friendly, cozy, I loved the environment, the hot chocolate and the young lady waiting tables was very nice. I plan on going to Amsterdam again, will definitely visit and have something to eat as well. At least the presentation of the food is exquisite!

Great cafe, friendly staff, tasty food, fast service. Recommended to everyone in a central location in the middle of Rembrandtplein!

Heerlijke stek aan een mooi, gezellig plein. Heb gister van een lekkere lunch op het terras genoten. Ze hebben ook stroopwafel shakes ;)). De blonde jongedame die ons bediende was heel vriendelijk, geduldig en servicegericht. Echt een aanrader, dit leuke cafe!

It's a beautiful cafe by the infamous Rembrandtplain. It's actually lovely inside and the staff is friendly.

Tijdens ons bezoek was er een groep van 30 komen eten. Toch maar 20 min moeten wachten. Zeer snelle en lekkere keuken

We went there for company team building. There were only 2 choices of hamburger, beef or vegan. The vegan burger was absolutely no taste, I couldn't even finish half. I wouldn't go here if I have to pay.

We had a lovely breakfast at Kuyl, place is not too busy early afternoon so you can stretch your legs outside of Cafe and enjoy street view. Delicious food and great service.

Food was okay especially for the price. Service wasn't that good and there was a crew taking pictures or videos so the toilet room wasn't accessable.

Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful, always happy and ready to treat you perfectly with a big smile. Thank you guys, you made our mornings perfect.

Nice place for some food and drinks. Though a bit dissapointed at the price vs quality of the food. Partner had ribs which were massive for 25 euros, which is a fine price for the big rack of ribs they were served. I had chosen the fish and chips for the same price but got 2 small pieces of fried fish that didn't have much flavour on them. So food wise it was a bit dissapointing. The fries were nice though and the drinks were served quickly. Drink prices were also very decent and what you see around at other places. Service was really nice, we were helped quickly and very politely and the staff was just overall great which gives you a really welcome feeling. Atmosphere is nice too, the place looks nice with ambient lighting and music that isn't overshadowing your conversation. If the food was better then it would've been a 5 out of 5 stars for me.

Wonderful location , smiling staff. Menu a bit limited but most can find a meal to enjoy. Recommended.

Only reason I don't give the fifth star is because there were no take away boxes, which struck me as odd. Service was great, drinks were strong.

Nice cafe with a big screen to watch sports. Variety of tea, coffee, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available. Good service too.

Unfortunately a few staff taking a very objectionable view towards customers ruined it for us. Some staff were very accommodating but a bit hit and miss. Plenty nearby so would avoid.
