Inexperienced service. I received my main course while the appetizer was still on the tiny table. He handed it to me because there was no room. Later, my host apologized for the fumbling. Otherwise, it's a nice place. The food is delicious.

Disappointing. Went there last night for dinner with a group of colleagues, I had the pumpkin soup (came luke warm, flavor wise nice though), the cauliflower steak which was way to thick and instead of being juicy and nicely caramelized it appeared to be steamed and than quickly fried with not enough onion creme for the size of cauliflower, only saved by ordering chips and a side salad with it, the dessert was supposed to be a Tarte Tatin but turned out to be a bake apple on a cookie.

A beautiful restaurant. I normally only sit on the terrace, but today I dined inside. I had the fish of the day, the haddock, and it was one of the most delicious fish dishes I've ever eaten. My compliments to the chef. We had two very friendly servers who were clearly customer-focused and went above and beyond for us. Sometimes the service was a bit clumsy and not very fast, but we're all human, and that clumsiness fits well with the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. For example, the kitchen forgot our order. But all in all, I will definitely be back.

Lovely setting and staff with speedy service but the three vegetarian/ vegan options were uninspiring. My asparagus risotto tasted like plain rice with some added salt.

Disappointing experience. Food was mediocre (the risotto was inedible) and the service was less than friendly. Very noisy inside. I am not returning here.

It's great to sit on the terrace on the banks of the Amstel River on a sunny day. The menu is diverse, and the service is attentive and fast. I recommend the house IPA beer.

Had a lovely breakfast here last week. I had delicious poached eggs with toast and salmon. We enjoyed sitting on the smoke-free patio. The service was excellent.

We dined here on a weekday with a group of colleagues. The food was fine, but the atmosphere and service left much to be desired. It was a beautiful sunny day, and we would have loved to sit on the terrace, but unfortunately, that turned out to be impossible. Instead, we were given a table at the very back of the restaurant – the least inviting spot. The staff regularly forgot about us, and in the final hour, no one even came by. We ended up having to go to the bar ourselves to ask for the bill.

The atmosphere is relaxed yet chic, and the staff is young but friendly, going above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We had an apple pie that was a real disappointment; the slice was very small! And it was ice cold, which also affected the taste. It's a shame.

We each had two appetizers and a portion of fries. Everything was super fresh, deliciously prepared, and served with friendly and attentive service. A perfect meal and a very beautiful and atmospheric venue before the performance at Carré.

Great place with a classic local brand and an interesting history (it's named after a boat) on a semi-quiet spot along the Amstel river. Menu with lots of variation, good quality dishes and friendly and helpful staff. Great group facilities. Well recommended!

Amidst all the positive reviews, there are a few points of criticism: the half lobster could use a bit more garnish besides the spinach, especially considering the price (€31.50), and it also includes a matching lobster fork for scraping out some of the meat. Tataki is certainly open to interpretation, but what I had was nothing like it. It was delicious, though. Gazpacho with basil ice cream is very original and delicious, but basil ice cream should also taste like basil, which it didn't. De Ysbreeker has had a good reputation for years and is a great restaurant, so I think you should take this to heart as well.

Ysbreeker setting new standards- especially for the Caesar salad. No chicken, no bacon, just a few leaves and one lonely egg sets you back €17. Add two drinks and some bland fries and boom, €50 gone. A true fine dining experience, if you’re a rabbit. 3 stars for the fast service and ambiance.

We came to this cafe before an afternoon bike ride from Amsterdam to Leiden. Service quite fast, good dishes, presentation of the dish could be improved. Friendly staff and good price.

Although the staff is friendly, the service remains very slow. Besides that the their Ysbreaker burger was completely raw from the Inside. They told me the spices they add made it look more raw then it is but the texture and taste told me otherwise. Would not recommended to have anything but a drink here especially for the high prices

Today I had lunch here with my son, he ordered a hamburger of 21 euros. It turned out that it was not cooked, in the middle the meat was still completely red. He sent the hamburger back. Unfortunately I could not take a picture because it was already removed by the waitress. We complained about this but they simply said that it was because of the herbs and still want us to pay for the hamburger, my son only ate half of it. Bad business, if you do not want to admit your mistake. I will never come here again

Was there for a reception, nice staff and your glass was constantly filled. Tasty snacks and nibbles.

Visited for a drink. Drinks service excellent, very attentive and fast. 🙏Snacks fine in quantity and tasty. Acoustics inside is a bit less for a group (about 30) but it was just okay and that is better than just not 😉. I thought the restaurant area at the back looked nice and radiated peace. More of a bistro atmosphere in the front of the store and then of course a cozy terrace outside by the water. Just a very nice store and great that they were able to give the different zones their own look. So something for everyone! Parking was also easy, around 4-5 pm there was still more than enough space. AMS parking rates of course.

Too bad about the service; taking the wrong order themselves and then, after we had been waiting for drinks for 45 minutes and after everything had been paid, noticing that they had made a mistake themselves and very inappropriately and rudely asking for a few euros extra. Delicious overnight oats to share together. It's more than enough. Nice table by the window. The room is high and you therefore have to speak loudly or have very good ears. The service is friendly and good.

Located in Amsterdam, this beautifully decorated place offers excellent quality, from starters to main courses and desserts. Regarding the service, I honestly found it quite slow and the prices high, but it's worth it, even with the slow service.

Been here two times. If you don’t speak Dutch don’t bother, they will take an hour to do anything, including bringing a menu, even if are half empty.

Naar aanbeveling door familie met hoge verwachtingen hier gaan eten. Het eten viel erg tegen. De kabeljauw had geen korst zoals op de menukaart stond en was flauw in smaak. De asperge met zalm had geen dressing. De asperges zelf waren erg lekker, maar de combinatie met zalm miste de sprankeling. Hier zaten wel aardappeltjes bij. Deze waren redelijk. Ook was er risotto besteld. Dit was meer vergelijkbaar met soep. Daarnaast was de hoofdmaaltijd in hoeveelheid minimaal en licht verteerbaar, waardoor ondanks het toetje menigeen met trek het restaurant verliet. De locatie zelf ziet er mooi uit. En als de zon schijnt kun je mooi op het terras aan de Amstel zitten.

Terrace of course fantastic. Furthermore rather chaotic: telephone reservation that is not noted, request to be helped is always "forgotten". And finally, asparagus with salmon is not such a complicated dish. Nevertheless, it was really not tasty. Price - quality ratio was completely lost. NB: almost no vegetarian dishes. Not of this time.

Large terrace on the beautiful Amstel. With a view of the beautiful buildings. All sorts of things cycle by. Had a delicious Caesar salad and my partner had a Croque Madam.

The food is really good. Steak tartare was great and the Caesar salad was also delicious. The English pie was also very tasty. But... the portions were really too small. The English pie had a diameter of approx. 10 cm. Fine as a starter, but absurd as a main course. You need two of them to make a meal of it (but then you pay more than 40 euros for a vegetarian pie.... That is really not possible). The Caesar salad was also below average in terms of quantity: a lot of cheese, little lettuce. Tip: serve some bread or toast with it for the filling. We normally never have dessert, but now we had to for the filling ('can you tell us what the most filling dessert on the menu is?'). No, the food is really good, fast service despite the crowds, but if you have to go to a cafeteria afterwards for the filling, something is wrong. Too bad.

Waitress knew nothing about how the food was prepared, asked for meat medium and came back rare. Nice atmosphere. Good beer.

The terrace next to the canal was fantastic! But food was… well, overpriced for sure. One slice of bread with two thin slice of salmon and two eggs, really shouldn’t be 16.5 euro.

Goede locatie bijna in het centrum van Amsterdam. Rondom parkeergelegenheid of in de naburige Weesperplein q-park garage. Deze horecagelegenheid is ideaal voor een borrel, zowel binnen als buiten aan de amstel. Helaas viel het dinner wat tegen, de steaks/kogelbiefstuk goed gebakken maar als het uitgeserveerd wordt alleen het vlees met een saus naar keuze. Helaas geen groentes of frietjes erbij terwijl je een aanzienlijke prijs betaald. Dit hebben wij elders als ruim beter ervaren. Veel personeel aanwezig veelal student, toch missen ze de nodige aandacht voor de gast. Wij groep van 6 hebben diverse keren zelf om aandacht van personeel moeten vragen.
