Wannabe "punk bar" with really aggressive barman (probably on drugs), not safe. You can find better real punk bars and pubs across city.

While locals may refer to this as a “punk bar,” it doesn’t live up to that reputation. In fact, the environment feels far from authentic. It’s hard to take the “punk” label seriously when there’s a sign declaring “this is a cashless society,” yet the business still profits from selling beer—a clear contradiction that feels more like mainstream capitalism than anything countercultural. The other punk bar across the street has way better vibes.

The best bar in Amsterdam for a few beers. They even played the KOP, which says it all.

not safe for trans people!! the employees are cool and reliable, but a lot of the people who go there (men mostly) gender-police you when you go to the bathroom, and when it’s busy it can be unsafe since a lot of men there can be very touchy and creepy if you wanna go there please go when it’s still quiet, which is early in the evening! it’s a cool place that’s worth checking out, and bring cash with you!

A dive bar in every sense of the word. Laid back staff. Cheap drinks. Rock 'n roll. Pool table. Smoking. No pretensions. Great.

Good atmosphere, music, and friendly guests. Loved playing the pinball (The Addams Family) and learning a few tricks from local masters. Also, cheap beer!

Café the Minds is the only real Punk bar left in Amsterdam. A vandal-proof brown interior Just a bit of a shame that there's a bastard working behind the bar, there was King's Night last weekend, the bartender thought it would be fun to take someone's cap off and throw it into the urinal outside on the street. If you treat your customers like that, you shouldn't be working with people.

Quaint pub with a mixed crowd, top prices and good music. It can be a little crowded on weekends but still worth a visit.

Mean staff, was yelled at when I accidentally went to the wrong bathroom. Guy with barely any hair started screaming in my face, even though I simply didn't see it was the mens bathroom since there's graffiti and stickers everywhere...

Very nice there, bar staff served super quickly. Prices are really great. Very rock vibe. The only disadvantage is that the bar is very small. I would come again

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Atakan Kaya 100%. I was in the bar yesterday because it was recommended to me & I was in a really good mood & had a lot of fun with the music & also with the people. Unfortunately my wallet was stolen too! So watch out! All the friendliness & familial behavior of certain men & women in there is pure manipulation. Such a shame! Would be a really cool bar otherwise with decent prices & great music! But for me definitely NEVER AGAIN!

Good bar for punks and hard music but it's full of thieves. My phone and two debit cards got stolen and another friend of mine's wallet was also stolen some time ago. So, please be mindful of who you're talking to. Some thieves just introduce themselves as tourists and they are definitely more than one person. Although it's a good bar but unless they take some further actions against them I won't go there anymore, which is why I have to give 1 star due to its unsafe environment.

Great bar. I really like the atmosphere and the vibe. Music is good too. They have a card machine but it's not always working and they prefer cash. There's s cash machine nearby if you need it though.

I've never seen such a dirty toilet before. Even the free toilets at a parking lot are cleaner. I also think the bartender, that bald man, is a huge dick, he was clearly not having his day. He yelled at a girl because she accidentally went to the men's room. I used to work in a bar myself and if I were to yell at customers like that I would be fired straight away.

The staff were treated really badly and the managers seemed to encourage it?? Never coming here again.

It is a cultural heritage of the squatters from Amsterdam, everyone is welcome, but don't be shocked if you end up in a world full of punk, rock, gothic metal and all subgenres, with SUPER nice people in general, you can enjoy playing pinball. on the pinball machine while you manage to get a nice Budels beer and are surrounded by a café full of Unique People (and sometimes figures) from all over the world but who ultimately end up in Amsterdam. Nice pounding music is sometimes also good for the soul!

Super netter Service, der auch gute Musikempfehlungen gibt. Hier wird Punk gespielt. Das Ambiente ist urig punkig mit vielen Aufklebern überall. Die Preise sind in Ordnung. Bei den Toiletten muss man ein paar Abstriche machen. Ich würde immer wieder kommen.

Wicked little pub/bar! Always got punk playing, always lively and always fun. I always call in when visiting Amsterdam. Good place to find out if there are any punk gigs on in the city, there's posters and fliers or I just asked the bar staff. They also have a pool able. Highly recommend if punk dive bars are ya thing. Also their drink are about as cheap as you get for Amsterdam.
