Caffe Milo in Dapperbuurt

Beautiful spring afternoon sunshine. Although the menu said bitterballen were available all day, it turns out they only serve it after 5:30 PM on Mondays, which is a bit of a shame if you're feeling hungry. The service is sometimes better than others. But as with all restaurants, finding good staff is a challenge. Update May 24: I went here for lunch and had a salad. A chicken Caesar. I was looking for the anchovies, as they were just leaves, with a half-boiled egg and dressing. When I asked, his initial response was: "There are no anchovies, that's the dressing." When I asked, "Why does it say it's on the menu under ingredients?" He then took the plate and came back with added anchovies. Update Oct 24: I wanted to give it another try. But the staff negated my decision. On the terrace, I saw an Eighty-Four sign by the lamppost. I went to check it out with my dining companion, and they saved our pleasant afternoon. I'm not going to Milo's anymore. I gave them three chances. I'll walk another five minutes.

Still the chef's first day after a week? When we, hungry, told them we had to go to the theater after an hour, they told us they were working on our receipt. Fifteen minutes later, we received a doggy bag with two of the 8comi dishes we'd ordered, which we then had to pay for without a discount. The waitstaff did their best, but gave us an unpleasant feeling of being rushed. The menu wasn't particularly interesting either. I also noticed that five years ago, with a different owner, I had only given this place one star. All in all, still #not recommended

Cozy place, tastefully decorated, and a very nice hostess. The chef was on her first day at work, and she did a great job; the grilled eggplant was especially delicious. My only complaint about this lovely evening was that the grilled calamari wasn't warm or hot.

Went for a birthday party and the staff were so nice. They made the experience wonderful and definitely a night to remember. We did kareoke and danced the night away. I also broke a glass and they cleaned it immediately even thought I told them I would do it but they insisted to do it themselves. 10/10 absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to go again !!! 😍😍 the truffle fries were also amazing !

Terrace is nice but is on a corner next to two busy roads. It's always a bit stuffy inside. I've been there twice and I have to say that the coffee wasn't bad, but the rest of the menu wasn't worth mentioning. Messy and noisy. Not really special.

The tuna sandwich is wonderful and huge!!! I loved everything I ordered. The service is very friendly. I recommend!

There is Dekaf espresso and oat milk. The cappuccino is prepared very well. The vegan fully loaded sandwich was very good and tasty. The portion was very generous.

It was tasty, we were very hungry, so the food was gone in no time. Nice service. It's a bit difficult to eat from a loaded bucket, but a plate underneath or next to it would be easier.

All waitresses/servers are nice except the bald one. He could do with a nice lesson

Unbelievable how they treat staff here, scandalous. In addition, the hut smells of frying oil, which is not good.

Excessively expensive for the quality of the dishes. They serve a burger but don't give you any choice on cooking, I asked them for "medium", which they refused and brought me a really well cooked steak. And don't be fooled by the menu that says "Burger + salad + fries", salad and fries are extra and are very expensive! The bottle of sparkling water costs €8 and 4 small shrimp croquettes (not real shrimp but shrimp puree) cost €11.70 Really overkill.

What can I say about this shop? It's amazing. The food is very good, the chef is excellent, the guys who work there are polite and an extra that I would like to put 6 stars if I could is that Greeks work and the shop makes Fredo espresso. You'll call me silly, but it's impressive. Well done to them in everything. I highly recommend it. The prices are very reasonable

We received a 20 euro dinner voucher from Gall&Gall to use. We live around the corner and thought we would finally give Milo a try. Unfortunately it was made super difficult to order anything. We have no problem paying a little more, a tenner discount would even have been nice. Unfortunately, the staff made everything super difficult, and we had to constantly contact a manager who eventually indicated that we could only choose a few things from the menu. Sorry, that was a bit too difficult for an easy night out. We just ran away and had a wonderful evening at Nomads! We won't be coming back here again. Shame!

Cafe Milo was a delightful discovery with its cozy ambiance and exceptional service. I tried the avocado toast and a latte, both of which were beautifully presented and delicious. A bonus was the quiet, inviting corner perfect for reading.

Food here is gorgeous. Try the crispy chicken you won't be disappointed.

we zijn per ongeluk hier beland (er was nergens meer plek valentijn) hadden geen zin om verder te zoeken zouden alleen biertje doen en een hapje en dan verder,Maar het hapje was zooooooo lekker dat we zijn hier gebleven en gegeten (tappas) van alles wat we lekker vonden. in 2 woorden geweldig lekker

My Monday at Milo Around 12 I seat down for lunch,and I ordered a soup. 30 min later the soup wasn’t on my table So I asked again where is my food? One of the services girl went to look for the chef,then a little guy came out from the toilet without kitchen clothes . He start making my soup but I realized he didn’t wash he’s hands!!!So I lost my appetite- On top of that He started screaming to a young waitress in the service. All the commotion embarrassed me! I really think is a good place— But this guy who’s doing lunch service Is really unprofessional and dirty.

Super lieve en snelle bediening, gezellig aangekleed, super heerlijke miloburger op met de frites. Mijn vriendin ook de miloburger met overheerlijke truffel frites. Een portie frites erbij is voor 2 echt doende. We zijn echt goede eters maar kregen het niet op. Zonde want het is te lekker om te laten staan. Chapeau

The server is very bad. I ordered soup, after 20 mins. I asked when will arrive, and it turns out that the waiter forgot to order it, so I canceled. The DJ was OK, but the sound is terrible and dull. We met about 20 freinds, so there was a good atmosphere

We were at Caffe Milo last Sunday night and I would like to thank you the staff (Anee, Roy and the Chef). Despite kitchen was almost close they accepted our 11 people group and were kind and supportive during all the dinner. It's nice to find this kind of Staff and services. In addition, the food was very good and the place is super cozy. Thank you again to deliver such a great experience!

Stayed at the nearby Manor and this bar along with the other across the road were our go to places. Nice outside seating area in the evening with heaters and cocktails reduced in price on a Wednesday or in the happy hour which is late afternoon. We had snacks on a few occasions and the dips and chickpea soup were very good. Staff also very friendly so all in all go there if you are at the Manor 🥳

Met zo'n naam verwacht je een serieus goeie Italiaanse kop koffie. Dat serveren ze gelukkig. Echt helemaal prima in orde. (Tenzij je zo'n ontzettende koffiesnob bent dat je maar bij 0.001 % van de uitspanningn in de wereld koffie bestelt.) Ik kom zeker een keer terug voor lunch of diner. Dan ga ik als het november is toch liever binnen zitten dan op het overigens heel gezellige terras.

Avant c’était mon restaurant préféré grâce à la pizza ( une pure merveille) et la terrasse, cependant ils ont changé la carte pour quelques plats de mauvaise qualité et extrêmement onéreux! La terrasse est sympa mais de plus en plus vide !

Chanced upon cafe near our hotel. Really lovely and welcoming team. We enjoyed calamari - well cooked and beautifully seasoned and presented and hearty burgers with home style fries. Well worth a visit in this cozy and atmospheric style diner.

I celebrated my birthday at Caffe Milo with my friends. The event was awesome, with delicious bites, nice drinks, friendly staff, super location, great music, big space inside and outside, everything was amazing! I strongly recommend Caffe Milo for celebrations 🎉🎉🎉

It was a cool place to take a breakfast, it was really good, and they kindly replaced the ham by some more cheese cause i'm vegeterian. They also seems to serve a lot of different cocktails, it must be fun spend the evening here :) Nice employees and beautiful interior!

Wij hebben ontzettend lekker gegeten gister ochtend op het terras. Heerlijk plekje in het zonnetje gehad. Ontbijt was goed gevuld en waar voor het geld. Sfeervolle tent. Aanrader!

Dropped in for coffee and cake while changing trams. Really nice atmosphere and very friendly service. Will certainly consider returning for a meal on a future visit to Amsterdam.

Been there with my little family on July 17, and we soon felt like home. Italian chef, Alessandro, so kind and caring about what to cook for my little baby and for us! And all the staff, so gentle and thoughtful! Alessandro, the best chef in Amsterdam overall! 10/10 🤩
