Verry good food. The staff was very helpfull Very expensive for the Portuguese pocket ( i would not had come here if it was i paying - company did) Almost 60 euros per person - some thinngs to share - one main course per person - 2 beers per person

A busy Dutch pub. The menu isn't particularly varied, but it has good sandwiches and meat. The atmosphere is nice, but the waiters are a bit distracted or sloppy; they lose your order and then get annoyed if you tell them. Worth revisiting.

I don't think I've ever eaten such good meat. All the dishes were truly excellent, with top-notch quality and memorable flavors. The atmosphere is beautiful, warm, and a bit tavern-like, perfect for enjoying a leisurely dinner. Plus, it's pet-friendly, which always makes a difference for us. A gastronomic experience I highly recommend.

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. The restaurant was clearly open, but we were told we could not come in because the staff was “taking a break.” What made the situation much worse was seeing them serve other customers who appeared to be from their own community while refusing to serve us. If a restaurant is open, customers should be treated consistently and fairly. Being turned away while others are welcomed and served right in front of you feels disrespectful and discriminatory. This was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve had, and I definitely would not recommend this place.

Perfect place for American food with great barbecue. There are a lot of high tables in the dining area, which aren't very comfortable for this type of food.

From the moment we arrived, Efi was warm, attentive, and professional, making sure everything was taken care of throughout our visit. Visit #3 – This time I was really disappointed. I ordered the pork chop. It was dry and quite bland. The Caesar salad was drowning in dressing and felt very heavy. Overall, a big disappointment compared to my last visit. The service, however, was quick and charming. Visit #1 Excellent food! Service could be more attentive (same as with the other Cannibale locations) but the food was great so it's well worth visiting. One of our favorite spots in Amsterdam.

Super friendly staff, food to die for. Budget friendly. Vegan burger was surprisingly the best I had in Amsterdam. The garlic bread was delicious with the butter and sea salt. Drinks are amazing. R&B music choice and Yvette Michele songs were cherry on top. 10/10 would recommend.

The worst part of this chain by a country mile. 2 hours for no food and then just a shitty response from a typical Dutch customer service response from a so called manager who is so entitled it’s untrue.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the short ribs—they were the best short ribs I’ve had in Amsterdam! They were incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I would also like to give a special mention to Jana for her outstanding service. She was friendly, cheerful, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. Her warm smile and positive attitude were one of the main reasons I left the restaurant so satisfied. Thank you, Jana, for making our experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

We went on a night that football was playing, i had booked a table as i’ve seen it’s a great place out to eat, when we first arrived we stood waiting for someone to come to us but it took far too long than it should and when i said id booked the server looked around at any empty table and told us to just sit there. We browsed the menu and were ready to order, there were 4 servers around and not one of them looked our way for 10 minutes. Nobody came over for drinks or nothing, what made it even worse was the fact that all 3 floor servers were leaning on the bar to watch the football 🤦‍♀️. Finally my boyfriend got up to ask if we needed to order at the bar where the server said “no i’ll come to you”. The lady who had been making the drinks finally came to take our order. I said i’d like a lemonade and in a patronising way she said “to be more specific”. It feels as though customers or especially maybe tourist are an inconvenience to them?? We had ordered the chicken wings, mac and cheese, a burger and a side of fries. The wings were good and the mac and cheese was one of the best mac and cheese i’ve had, the food was overall a good experience however the fries hadn’t arrive with the main meal for some reason and when my partner reminded them of it he said it’s coming. So we both completely finished our meals and after the server brought out everyone else’s dishes that’s when our fries arrived and they didn’t apologise for the wait or anything. It was a very disappointing experience especially when it was recommend on social media :( The atmosphere was good and so was the food, the service is where it really makes someone’s experience and this place just didn’t care about that. When we left they didn’t make any eye contact or say thank you. I’m unsure if it’s just the location we visited as it’s a chain business but i do not recommend this location! save your money!!!

The salads and fries were also excellent.Service was the highlight of the visit. Special shoutout to the gentleman who seated us, brought our drinks, took our order, and seemingly handled everything himself. He did an outstanding job. Overall, a great experience.

The lobster is really delicious! The short ribs are super tasty too. The lobster was so good that I ordered it twice.

Menus were thrown on the table, service was horrible, our server did not know what drinks were on the menu plus she forgot half our order. The bartender was just screaming to her friends all night. You get better service at MCdonalds! Won’t be back.

We crossed this meat specialist restaurant during our visit and chose it following our appetite. And that was for the best. The staff was dynamic and welcoming ( despite we stop in front of it 10min before the opening ) We really enjoy the meal even if the cooking for my friend burger wasn't asked this is a litlle detail but here it was perfect. I liked the glazed ribs I had and all the sides as well. There is great selection of wine. I'm definitely recommending this place for meat lovers.

We had such a wonderful experience here. The Spare Ribs were nothing like my husband had before. My meal of a crispy Chicken Burger and side of Grilled Asparagus was so delicious. The staff went over and beyond. Extremely friendly.

After years of trying all the branches, we keep coming back to Cannibale Royale Rozengracht. Of course, the food is fantastic, but what truly makes this location special is the staff. Always friendly, fun, personal, and genuine. You make every evening a party. For us, without a doubt, the best branch of them all!

My husband and I went on a date yesterday. He invited me to this restaurant. I'd like to share my impressions and experience. From the outside, it looks like a completely unremarkable restaurant with a typical restaurant sign. But once inside, I simply froze. The restaurant is very atmospheric and themed. As you can guess from the name, it's about those very same cannibals who ate people. The ceiling and walls are covered with creepy photographs and decorations in the form of antiques, saws, heads, and other paraphernalia that fit the restaurant's theme. The restaurant itself, despite the creepy decorations, is very cozy; you don't want to run away. On the contrary, it's like walking around in a museum, taking everything in. We went on a Wednesday, so it wasn't noisy or crowded. The menu they offered us also featured creepy photographs from the last century. The menu includes appetizers, salads, meat, and vegetarian dishes. There's also a wide selection of drinks to suit every taste. We ordered beer, a mixed meat platter for two, and a side of grilled vegetables for two. The service and staff were very attentive; our order arrived quickly, and they came by several times to check if everything was okay and if we needed anything else. The food was fantastic; we loved everything, and we ate it all! I remember it being mouth-watering! The dessert deserved special mention. We ordered a brownie with nuts and liquid chocolate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The presentation itself was beautiful, and the taste was simply incredible. The combination of warm brownie and cold ice cream was simply gastronomic ecstasy. We had coffee with liqueur with dessert, which went perfectly with the dessert. The restrooms were clean, and the music in the dining room was pleasant and not too loud, allowing you to have a comfortable conversation without raising your voice and still hear everyone you were talking to. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with the restaurant, the delicious food and drinks, and the wonderful service and staff! I can rate our date here 10 out of 10. I recommend it to everyone!

I booked this dinner a week in advance for my birthday, and we even discussed the seating arrangement through messages beforehand because we were coming with a child and specifically wanted a quiet corner table. Unfortunately, despite this, we were seated directly next to a huge group of around 15 men who were shouting, swearing, and being extremely loud throughout the entire evening. It was impossible to relax, enjoy the dinner, or even have a normal conversation. What should have been a special and cozy birthday celebration turned into a very stressful experience. I am honestly very disappointed that our request was completely ignored, especially after discussing it in advance. A little more care and attention to guests’ wishes - especially for birthdays and families with children - would make a huge difference.

Robyne and Shana took excellent care of us. We had an outing with our football team, but even though things were a bit hectic and disorganized on our part, they helped us out tremendously and were very friendly. They should cherish employees like that!

They came on a working day; the restaurant was closed. There was no information about why it was closed or when it would open.

It is always a pleasure to come here; this time we had lunch with 8 people. Everyone was more than satisfied. Thanks for the lovely lunch!

Overall, we had a nice evening. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I also liked the music selection, with hip-hop classics like Common and Tupac playing in the background. The food was good, but not perfect. The ribeye was slightly overcooked for my taste, and the chimichurri could have used a bit more acidity to make it fresher and more balanced. The broccoli was unfortunately quite dry. The only real downside was that we were seated in the back section of the restaurant, where the air felt very stuffy and uncomfortable after a while. All in all, a nice place with good service and a cool vibe, but the food and ventilation could be improved.

Tasty beers and delicious meat!

Stopped in for a dinner. The music was really good. I would say the steak i ordered was cooked perfectly and i loved the extras on the plate. Ordred the Mac and cheese and got mash potatoes/ Server rarely came to the table and was hard to get a drink and the bill.

Good steakhouse with fair prices. Unfortunately for about half of our table the medium ordered steaks have been cooked too long, the other half of the steaks have been perfect.

The atmosphere is really nice and so is the staff! The food was so good, the steak was soft and well seasoned both the French fries and sweet potato fries were delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Very good food BUT we were in a group of 4, and 3 of them got the food and I got the food 15 minutes after, when everyone else had already finished eating. That’s not very nice. But the food was really good and the personnel very friendly

A very bad experience. We went here for dinner because we had something to celebrate with our youngest son. As the first guests, we had indicated this and asked if they could prepare a nice table for us. We had one drink in the sun outside, and upon entering, we were given an uninviting little table in the middle of the room. When we asked if we couldn't sit at the back, we were told that those tables were reserved for groups, which was clearly not the case. We then chose a spot to the side, but ended up sitting right in the draft. The hostess was visibly irritated and rude, and seemed determined to give us a terrible table. For a restaurant where wagyu steaks costing 99 euros are on the menu, surely you would expect a certain level of service. We paid for our drinks and left. Even the bar staff understood that we were getting up. We are never going here again.

Extremely loud and noisy place, can’t have a conversation in there. Expensive steaks - portions are very small. Side dishes are not included, must pay extra. The burger is ok, tasty. Draft beer is like water, no alcohol, poor quality. Not recommended. Better get yourself bottled beer.

Yesterday, we booked a table with our family on Rozengracht. It was indicated that all the good tables had been booked by groups. Since we had been left waiting by the most unfriendly hostess ever, it was cheekily pointed out that we had made the decision. Fortunately, the rest of the staff completely agreed with us! The surprise for my son turned into tears when we left without food!! What a disgrace, so pathetic!!!

Total disappointment for attitude & service! Waited for almost 5 mins (no joke) at the entrance although staff clearly saw us plenty of times but not bothered to come and place us, finally got a table. Order taking came late, food was served way too late. We also asked for another rounds of drinks in between and waitress simply said she will be back in a minute, yet didn't appear for another 10 mins. Portions are exceptionally small for such prices. More importantly, customer-oriented mindset is not a considered aspect in here.

A horrible experience after learning that this restaurant doesn’t care about us at all. Our food took over an hour to come out. We had to move tables twice. Once because the table next to us were extremely loud and disorderly guests that took bright flash photography right at our faces. The second time the waitress kicked us out of our table claiming they needed the space when the restaurant was not at capacity.

The expirience was overall great. Although I recommend that you make a reservation, we got a table with no problem. The portions could be a bit bigger but the incredible taste makes up for it.

Very disappointing experience. The burger was extremely dry and almost tasteless. The vegetables felt undercooked and added no flavor at all. We asked to replace the burger with a steak, but the steak arrived after a very long wait and looked honestly terrible. It was not properly cooked, so we decided to cancel it altogether. The fries were another letdown — both too dry and too oily at the same time, which made them unpleasant to eat. The only thing that was somewhat okay was the mac & cheese, but unfortunately one decent item can’t save the overall experience. For the price and expectations, this was far below standard. I wouldn’t normally write a negative review, but this visit really missed the mark.

The opening hours are wrong on Sundays. There was no one there when we arrived at 12:15. Finally, someone came and told us they couldn't serve us because they had no one in the kitchen.
