Well, a bit meh. Nothing spectacular, but pricey. Music too loud, too dark, menu text unreadably small.

Food was delicious! We enjoyed each dish. Also the service was outstanding and the live music was just perfect: loud enough to enjoy but soft enough to still have a proper conversation.

We had a fantastic dinner with our family on October 25, 2025. Everything was perfectly taken care of! The friendly staff were always there for us. We were spoiled with delicious, freshly prepared food, and more than enough of it. And to top it all off, we even got a little something to start the ADE party with.

We had dinner here today. The food was very tasty! However the service could definitely be improved. Our waitress was very nice, but some of the items we ordered don’t arrive and we had to remind the waitress about it. For the main dish, 2 out of 3 dishes were the wrong dish and we had to wait a long time for it to initially come in and then we waited another 20 or so minutes for the correct order to be delivered. Also weirdly enough, when they were bringing in the main dishes, they didn’t give us new cutlery and didn’t take our old plates away, so we had to move them away ourselves. For the price you pay at this restaurant you’d expect they’d also come and check if we like the food or need anything else, and pour us more wine or water. At the end, our waitress was just gone and we couldn’t get the bill… we had to ask someone at the bar for it. Either way, the food is great, the restaurant is nice inside but the service requires some improvement. Even though, we did find the waitress to be very nice. But simply certain things could be improved.

The food is delicious. We ordered chicken shish, hummus, mutabbal, free potatoes, and ribs. I recommend it.

Been there with a few friends; ordered several mezze's and main courses among which mozaat and makloubeh, mashaoui. it was horrible; the food was cold, tasted like nothing, the rice was stuck together (you could tell it was cold and warmed up), the meat was soft, but didn't taste fresh. Prizes are quite high (39€ for a mixed grill that isn't the best, 15€ for a Kunefeh). The thing that bothered me the most was the cold food that didn't taste fresh. For me this place is an absolute no-go anymore.

The restaurant is very, very delicious. I've tried it in the Netherlands. A lot of restaurants offer chicken or meat that tastes rancid and you can't finish it. But this restaurant offers a taste similar to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. The prices are considered average for Dutch Arab restaurants.

Delicious food, good service, good wine.

I was introduced to Lebanese cuisine for the first time. The friendly staff really helped me along. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant is situated on the water, which creates a pleasant atmosphere while dining.

A lovely young lady served us today. We ordered everything from her: appetizers, main course, and dessert. The appetizers were tapas with bread. Delicious! The main course took an hour and a half to arrive. We had to ask three times when our food would arrive. Then came our main course. My friend had politely requested her meat be well-done since she's pregnant. My sister and I had chicken, and it was more salty than chicken. We didn't eat any of our three plates. Finally, after asking, the dessert took another hour to arrive. Kanafeh was soaked with butter. Lava cake wasn't lava, but burnt cake, and the other dessert tasted awful. In short, the appetizer was delicious, the main course, and the dessert was inedible. One too beautiful a location for such food!

Service, location and ambiance are great. For a Lebanese pallet the food needs some work and more flavors. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

We went to this restaurant on my wife’s birthday. The food was amazing and delicious. We tried Hommus Beiruti , Fattoush, Tabbouleh and Batata Hara in Vegetarian options and Jawanehin in Chicken. I loved the Fattoush. For dessert, we ordered Knefeh, which was amazing and is my favourite now. Loved the ambiance. There is a canal on the side and the music gave an arabic feeling.

If it had less than one star, I would have given it. It says it closes at 11 and the restaurant closes at 9:30. It made me pay 11 euros for Uber for nothing.

The restaurant is large, with seating inside, outside in the sun, and outside in the shade. It's wonderfully peaceful everywhere. The staff is very friendly and takes the time to explain everything. The food was partly unfamiliar to us, but delicious! The three of us, for example, shared 10 appetizers, and we had a wonderful meal. This restaurant is highly recommended!

Lebanese restaurant in Amsterdam. Reservations are recommended for large groups. The restaurant has a fantastic view. The food is delicious, except for the lamb arayes and hot potatoes, which were average. Unfortunately, the kibbeh was fried in a rush, so it was a bit black! The prices are expensive.

A wonderful restaurant location on a lake. The place is very clean and organized. All the staff were wonderful in reception, serving food, and dealing with others. They always had a smile and were very polite. The food was a different story, delicious beyond imagination. The price for the food is reasonable. I recommend it. Will come again and again.

I've been coming to Cedars for years for the excellent food and the beautiful restaurant and terrace. Free parking on-site—where else in Amsterdam can you find that? I recommend the mohamara to everyone, and it's always on my table.

Best lebanese restaurant in Amsterdam i would say. The hummus is delicious and the tabbouleh is great as well. I am lebanese myself and I have to say that it is really hard to find good lebanese food abroad but this one was great. The mixed grill platter is also delicious

Check in at the barrier, park for free, and then, surprisingly, what a view! A smart lady greeted us. Fortunately, the rest of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Their virgin colada was delicious—a pleasant surprise! As appetizers, the Sorbet Adas, the gamberi, and the hommus Beiruti were delicious. The Mashoui and short ribs (deliciously falling off the bone) were also very good. No room for dessert, but I'll definitely go back for that.

We had a wonderful, relaxing evening. We opted for some hot and cold mezzes, although the main courses also looked delicious (we'll be back for those). The service was friendly. A huge difference from some other restaurants where the service is often rushed or somewhat indifferent. This really adds to the overall feeling of the evening! Everything was equally delicious, with good wine and sunshine on the terrace. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that there are too many delicious things on the menu, and you're constantly forced to choose ;-)

A dinner with friends at Cedars restaurant is a special occasion. Upon entering, you're warmly greeted by a Cedars employee, and in our case, we were given a lovely table on the waterfront terrace, with a beautiful view. Drinks were quickly served, and we were given the menu, which is full of delicious dishes. Nevertheless, choosing from all the delicious options was quick: pita bread with ground meat for the starter, and delicious short ribs served with risotto for the main course. The service can be described as knowledgeable and very friendly. Afterward, we had a choice of five desserts, and this time we chose chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Drinks flowed freely throughout the entire dinner. After dessert, a cappuccino with amaretto, some pleasant conversation in the evening sun, and then it was time to head home. Conclusion: it was an unforgettable evening, with plenty of sunshine, a great atmosphere, and delicious food in a beautiful setting. We highly recommend dining here with friends. Definitely worth repeating.

The view is beautiful, but unfortunately that's all. The price-quality ratio is disappointing: it's quite expensive and what you get in return is limited. The service was poor and the food was served cold. Too bad, because the location certainly has potential.

We celebrated a birthday here last week with 20-25 people. They were very flexible and cooperative, and thought along with us. The people were super sweet and friendly, they served fast and good service. A young lady also helped us a lot, unfortunately I don't remember her name. The live music was also very good and cozy! Very satisfied and we will definitely come back! 💘

They close at 12 am but they denied to give take away. Now it’s 9:30pm they said for take away we have to order online by 9pm and their website is broke, Come on I am standing here and you are open. What is wrong with you guys

Beautiful venue that overlooks one of Amsterdam‘s countless Grachten. The food is absolutely delicious - I’m not a vegetarian but ended up eating only vegetarian dishes, so I cannot say anything about the meat or seafood dishes. The service was attentive, quick and very friendly.

Here they don't understand that people can have a serious allergy. Even if you say you are seriously allergic! And then you end up in the hospital with your child.....

Service was impecable, cant in any way fault the staff. The restaurant is beautifully located, with lovely views over the water. The food was good, however both the mixed grill and the chicken scewers were a bit dry... And for resp 39 and 36 euros a plate, we kind of expected perfect meat? The Fattoush was gorgeous, a really nice salad, as was the hummous and the flatbread. Overall a lovely experience, however prices somewhat high compared to the quality of the grilled meat.

What a beautiful location on the water and what a beautiful view we had through the high windows. The food is expensive, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. With a wide choice for everyone. The salad (with Haloumi) was delicious and fresh, the haloumi crispy, the cold Mazza's are tasty and delicious with the flatbread served with it. The main courses were all very tasty with fresh herbs and well prepared. The only pity is that we could not order a number of different menus, so that we could taste everything with the entire group (9 people).

The restaurant is fantastic, its location and atmosphere are very upscale. We ordered 7 vine leaves, muhammara, fattoush, and hummus with meat, and we repeated some of them. We also had a grilled plate, it was delicious, no mistake, and 3 fresh juices... I highly recommend it.

Very nice restaurant, with friendly staff. I understand that there is a shortage of staff, but if you do fill tables you will not be able to provide the service that should be for this price. It is quite expensive and then you expect good service. The staff does their utmost, but it is impossible with so many full tables. It would be better if they fill fewer tables if they do not have enough staff.

Very good restaurant, the food was amazing, and they have variety of vegetarian options, I am not vegetarian, but this restaurant has really good food. It was very clean and well organised, the atmosphere is nice. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The cooks are Lebanese who work with love. Drinks were good as well. I could not find anything wrong with my visit here. I highly recommend it if you want to invite someone, especially as the views are really breathtaking.

Really nice location. Good view out to a large, beautiful lake. Really sweet and polite service by the young girls. Good introduction to the menu. They were just a little too quick to come a few times to hear what we wanted instead of giving us some time to think. We didn't want food, just something for the sweet tooth and mocktails. Tasty drinks and wonderful knafeh and backlava. However, not for the price. The prices are a bit spicy. Tastes great, but it's probably mostly the location you pay for, because it tastes like something dessert always tastes like. But thank you for a pleasant experience.

Very tasty food but I thought it was pricey. Especially if you take the mezze. A menu is well priced, but you can only do that if your dining companion wants the same. If you don't mind spending a dollar, it is highly recommended. I have certainly had a delicious meal for a little less.
