The following were ordered: Lentil soup "Very average, rated 5/10" Kibbeh "Excellent" Maqluba "Average, the meat had an unpleasant smell, rated 7/10" Qamish "Average, the sauce wasn't suitable, rated 7/10" Mixed meats "Excellent" Fattoush "Excellent" French fries "Excellent" 4 soft drinks and 1 apple juice Bill: €173 In my opinion, the food is overpriced, but the restaurant's view and free parking might have contributed to the higher price.

The food is delicious, but the service is truly too bad for words. Ordered at 1 PM for evening pickup. Then had to wait another hour, and they didn't start on the order until I was already there. Next, I received criticism regarding the order placed via their website: 4 kibbeh for 15 euros, which is already quite overpriced, but the gentleman just casually tells me that they are 5 euros each, and that we would get 9 instead of 12 pieces. Mind you, their own website states 4 pieces... and I have to justify why it says 4 pieces there?!? A customer for decades, but this was really the last time. Very expensive, tasty food, nice location, but the service is really too bad for what they charge. If I've ordered online for nearly 300 euros and you're going to make me wait an hour with that attitude, bye!

I think the place is nice , If I want to compare the food to a restaurant in Lebanon , I would give it a rating 3/10 . For a person who doesn't know how actually Lebanese food tastes it would probably be an 8/10.

Cedars is a sure thing, it never disappoints. I've been there countless times, and if you're looking for a Lebanese restaurant (exceptional cuisine), this is the place to go. Forget everything else! The location is amazing because it's right on the water, very scenic. Definitely worth a try. And if you're not looking for a Lebanese restaurant, well... you're doing wrong, go and try it :-)

The place is nice, the food is okay, but the service is very, very bad. It's perfectly normal to place your order and have them forget about it, then have to remind them. They embarrassed me in front of my guests. I will never visit again.

Fantastic spot. We paid about 60 euros for 2 people and had: 3 cold mazza’s, one warm mazza and 4 radlers (0.0) in total. The restaurant has a really nice vibe, you could say it’s a bit “luxurious” almost. The food is delicious! Tastes incredibly fresh. Staff is very kind. Terrace is beautiful and sitting so close to the water is so relaxing. Only thing that we didn’t like was that the music was very loud, but when requested they turned it down a bit which was really kind. Will definitely be coming back here.

Button from chef's uniform in my food. Came here for mother's day, and unfortunately, had a piece of the chef's uniform inside my meal. At first, the staff didn't do anything other than take the button from me, but after making a point that it isn't ok, they removed the beverages from our bill. Location is amazing, food is tasty, service was friendly but with a serious food safety issue.

This lack of quality is scandalous. The maqlouba: mutton full of fat and smelling of sheep. Vegetarian dish: fried Lebanese bread with some tomato sauce and a few pieces of eggplant on top. We will not be returning. A waste of this restaurant's beautiful location.

As soon as we entered the restaurant, we had very warm welcome by bartender. Service staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. We asked a couple of questions because we can't imagine the menu without photos. Specialy Ali and a waiter with pompadour hairstyle, their service made our evening perfect 👌 Foods are everything tasty. We were planning to decide a main dishes later but Salad, cold dishes x 2 and 1 small warm dish was enough for us. Anyway, the weather, location, food and service, every single thing was really wonderful!! We definitely recommend this restaurant and we'll be back with more friends.

Honestly, the staff acted like serving customers was a burden. The attitude was cold, the service was careless, and no one seemed interested in doing their job properly. Definitely not a place I’d recommend if basic customer service is expected.

The quality does not match the high prices!

Food tasted great, but very expensive. Would recommend for rare occasions. The Fattoush salad was amazing and enough for two people to share. I had the Shish Tawook (chicken skewers) and they were very tasty. Rice that came with it was smaller than expected. Menu encourages lots of mazzas but two mains and one mazza is more than enough food for two people (and I can eat a lot of food).

We visited here whilst on holiday. We had never tried Lebanese food before and felt a bit nervous about what to expect, as im fussy and dont like spicy food. Everything we had was just SO delicious: Sliced potatoes with seasoning, Arayes, Jawaneh, Mashoui, and some drinks - all 10/10 for taste and presentation. The staff from the moment we arrived were friendly and the service was fast and effecient. The food was so tasty, I would highly recommend visiting here. Thank you :)

I’ve eaten there several times before and it has always been fantastic! This past Tuesday, I had the pleasure of celebrating my 50th birthday there, and it was more than fantastic! Location is not very clear at least road marks or sign or lights may be? , parking is very very difficult specifically for Escalade there’s no way to manoeuvre, food is ok nothing that special to remember and was really surprised that breads comes in a bowl which are cold, I wonder why? Didn’t bother to ask as they are quite busy so I just quickly finish my chicken and left.

We ordered fish and it's 35 euro which is very extreme expansive for one fish with 3 slices of potato. Actually, too much expansive. Regarding the service, Daiana was really amazing waiter in customer service. Thank you Daiana. Regarding the atmosphere, not so bad and not so woow in winter.

We used to come here very often and were always very enthusiastic. Unfortunately, I can absolutely no longer say that after tonight. The restaurant now suddenly operates with two prices: one for a standard portion and one for a larger portion. We chose the larger portion for several dishes, but in reality, this turned out to be simply the portion that used to be served as standard. In other words: the portions haven't gotten bigger, but the price has increased significantly. For example, you now pay €18 for a small plate of tabouleh, which according to them is supposed to be a “large portion.” We ordered a total of seven mezze and a portion of ribeye. We asked for the ribeye medium rare, but it was served fully cooked. In the end, we spent well over €180 for all of this. I do want to add, however, that the employee who served us at the table was actually very friendly and polite. That was absolutely not the problem. Unfortunately, we were subsequently treated in a particularly rude manner when settling the bill. At the checkout, we were told that this amount was "way too low," and that the table next to us had eaten for €600 with fewer people. At first, we thought this was meant as a joke, but the remark just kept going. An employee was even asked if the receipt was complete. More inappropriate comments followed, such as that the amount was "very low" and that he himself spends €250 with just two people. I have rarely experienced such unprofessional and demeaning treatment. First, portions are significantly reduced while prices rise sharply, and then you are ridiculed at the checkout as well because you supposedly spent "too little." Truly scandalous. For us, this was absolutely the last time.

Amazing restaurants! The food is really delicious and well balanced! Especially recommend their Knefeh and Mashoui for main course! The atmosphere is also amazing with very sweet and caring stuff! There is also wonderful selection of music playing and the terrace is amazing during summer for lunch or dinner with the view on the river! Loved it!

A lot of great food and lovely staff! Cedars is a great restaurant located in the western part of Amsterdam overlooking the Westlandgracht lake. The restaurant is very big but has a nice ambiance to it. The food was delicious! My first time experiencing Lebanese food and it's really great. The host put some dishes together for us so we could experience different parts of the Lebanese culture and it was lovely. From delicious meze to the succulent and juicy lamb. Wow, we greatly enjoyed our time here. I highly recommend checking this restaurant out of you haven't yet enjoyed the Lebanese culture and just let them surprise you with its range of food! It can also be booked for wedding parties which is a great way to use the available space. The restaurant is well equipped for such parties and showed it was happy to accommodate requests. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. They are willing to think with you and accomodate you as best as possible. We were with quite a big group and we asked them to decide what's best in terms of sharing dishes etc. Our experience was very lovely and I understand why it's so popular! It's a solid 4.5 ⭐ for me!

Unfortunately, my experience at Cedar Restaurant in Amsterdam was disappointing, mainly due to the service. Some staff members were unprofessional, and we didn't feel welcome as customers. The attitude was quite dismissive, even though we were paying for food and service. The restaurant itself is quite nice, but the way customers are treated plays a significant role in any dining experience. I hope the management will reconsider their service and treat customers with more respect and professionalism.

For the price you pay at this restaurant you’d expect they’d also come and check if we like the food or need anything else, and pour us more wine or water. At the end, our waitress was just gone and we couldn’t get the bill… we had to ask someone at the bar for it. Either way, the food is great, the restaurant is nice inside but the service requires some improvement. Even though, we did find the waitress to be very nice. But simply certain things could be improved.

The food generally was good, though the falafel was quite dry. The cauliflower mezze was great. However, € 15 for a piece of cheesecake was outrageous. It tasted good but the portion was small and even if the piece had been bigger, it would have been overpriced.

I do not recommend it. Upon arrival, I was refused entry on the pretext that the kitchen was closed and the restaurant's closing time is 11. Very bad.

The food was excellent. Beautiful location and interior. Unfortunately, much more expensive than before. Reservations now require a €15 fee per person. Upon arrival, I received a card that I had to return when paying. This was an unnecessary extra step, even though it's in their system. In hindsight, I see that some dishes and drinks were charged more than what was shown on the online menu.

Went here for dinner for the first time with friends. The food was delicious. The meat wasn't overly seasoned, and the tapas and salads were all so good. I chose one with semolina for dessert, but I wasn't too impressed. I don't like the rosewater in it. My friend had the tahini cheesecake, which was quite unusual, but you have to like tahini for that. I think I'll get the Knefeh next time. Even from the outside, as I drove past, the restaurant looked so beautiful. I felt very much at home there, and the atmosphere was great. The staff was very friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Very delicious food i recommend the restaurant

Booked the whole place for a family event and it was the best family event ever! The team are absolutely amazing! We had about 150 guests and very single one of them was bowled over by the venue, food, service and friendly staff. From the start of the evening right up to the very last minute they gave 100%. Hats off to Illyas and his team! Some of the younger guests are now adamant that they’ll be having wedding receptions here 😂

We recently had dinner here and really enjoyed it. The falafel, hummus, and aubergine dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a nice place for a Lebanese meal!💯✨

We had a fantastic dinner with our family on October 25, 2025. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail! Friendly staff who were at our service the whole time. The food is delicious. We ordered chicken shish, hummus, mutabbal, free potatoes, and ribs. I recommend it.

Been there with a few friends; ordered several mezze's and main courses among which mozaat and makloubeh, mashaoui. it was horrible; the food was cold, tasted like nothing, the rice was stuck together (you could tell it was cold and warmed up), the meat was soft, but didn't taste fresh. Prizes are quite high (39€ for a mixed grill that isn't the best, 15€ for a Kunefeh). The thing that bothered me the most was the cold food that didn't taste fresh. For me this place is an absolute no-go anymore.

The restaurant is very, very delicious. I've tried it in the Netherlands. A lot of restaurants offer chicken or meat that tastes rancid and you can't finish it. But this restaurant offers a taste similar to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. The prices are considered average for Dutch Arab restaurants.

I was introduced to Lebanese cuisine for the first time. The friendly staff really helped me along. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant is situated on the water, which creates a pleasant atmosphere while dining.

A lovely young lady served us today. We ordered everything from her: appetizers, main course, and dessert. The appetizers were tapas with bread. Delicious! The main course took an hour and a half to arrive. We had to ask three times when our food would arrive. Then came our main course. My friend had politely requested her meat be well-done since she's pregnant. My sister and I had chicken, and it was more salty than chicken. We didn't eat any of our three plates. Finally, after asking, the dessert took another hour to arrive. Kanafeh was soaked with butter. Lava cake wasn't lava, but burnt cake, and the other dessert tasted awful. In short, the appetizer was delicious, the main course, and the dessert was inedible. One too beautiful a location for such food!

Service, location and ambiance are great. For a Lebanese pallet the food needs some work and more flavors. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

We went to this restaurant on my wife’s birthday. The food was amazing and delicious. We tried Hommus Beiruti , Fattoush, Tabbouleh and Batata Hara in Vegetarian options and Jawanehin in Chicken. I loved the Fattoush. For dessert, we ordered Knefeh, which was amazing and is my favourite now. Loved the ambiance. There is a canal on the side and the music gave an arabic feeling.

The restaurant is large, with seating inside, outside in the sun, and outside in the shade. It's wonderfully peaceful everywhere. The staff is very friendly and takes the time to explain everything. The food was partly unfamiliar to us, but delicious! The three of us, for example, shared 10 appetizers, and we had a wonderful meal. This restaurant is highly recommended!
