A gem of Jan Evertsenstraat! We've been coming here for quite some time; the food is so delicious! Lamb skewers, shrimp, Lebanese bread, chicken with a delicious garlic sauce, etc.... everything is delicious!

Located in a quiet area yet not far from the city center, it offers a simple yet warm and comfortable atmosphere. The service, with its kindness and helpfulness, also contributes to the relaxing atmosphere. The menu focuses on simple, tasty dishes, with a wide selection even for non-meat eaters. The wine list is concise, but includes a few Lebanese labels. Reasonable prices and good value.

I went on my company's annual trip to Paris this year, and on our first day, we had the pleasure of having dinner at Maz Mez. We were a group of 32 people, some of us with dietary restrictions, and they accommodated all of us. It was the majority's favorite restaurant. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful, from the reservation process to the amazing service during our dinner. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic. I will, without a doubt, be going back to Maz Mez the next time I am in Paris!

We had a wonderful meal at Mazmez in Amsterdam. The mezze concept is perfect for sharing a variety of dishes: everything was super fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced. The food is delicious. I just wouldn't recommend the prawns. What I do find ridiculous is that you have to pay for bread at a Lebanese restaurant. I've never experienced that before.

I ate there, and I can only say it was truly exceptional. I ordered the set menu with a variety of appetizers, and there was a huge selection. Everything was fresh, everything was well-seasoned, there was good wine, and the staff was friendly. It was a very comfortable place to sit because the tables weren't too close together, giving you privacy. It's simply a great restaurant in a rapidly developing neighborhood. I'll definitely be back!

They're closed for holidays until August 12th, but they haven't bothered to update this on Google Maps, so you'll be left hungry in front of a closed door... what a shame.

Terrace is not special. Could be a bit more atmospheric. Staff comes to look around sufficiently. Taste of the food has deteriorated. The mini pitas seemed to come from the freezer. Drinks far too expensive. Homemade lemonade €8.50 and a beer €4.75. We will not come back. Too bad, have been coming here for years.

Reservation for 5 people wasn't recorded. We were seated at a table for 4. Endless wait for our order, even though more than half the seats were free. Average dishes, small portions, except for the €36 and €40 menus. One dish was missing. In short! A very bad experience...

Réservation pour 5 personnes pas enregistrée. On nous place à une table pour 4 . Attente interminable pour la commande, alors que plus de la moitié des places étaient libres. Plats moyens, petites portions, sauf les menus à 36 et 40 euros. Il manquait un plat. Bref ! Très mauvaise expérience ...

Maz Mez’s atmosphere is great: the restaurant space feels clean and sophisticated, while the decorations and unique ceramic dishes add a cozy warmth. The food was delicious and came out quickly. We especially loved the bread and hummus. The eggplant dish was a must, and the sole was lovely too.

It was my first time here, and I am a big fan of Lebanese food. The food wasn’t authentic: shish tavuk wasn’t shish but just grilled, batatta harra had no flavour, baba ghanoush was not smoky and more like mushed baby food. Fatoush was more like a dressing soup, and the halloumi was bland. I don’t think this place is run by Lebanese people, no self respecting Lebanese person would serve this mess and charge that much for it as well. You actually have to pay for the bread too! This is the most delicious Lebanese food I've ever ate 😍i can't find words to describe how tasty every dish was like WOW 😍 and also if u don't know what to choose jist get the maz mez menu you won't be making any mistake by ordering it trust me its just so delicious 😍

We hebben heerlijk en overvloedig getafeld met het Maz Mez menu: 8 koude en 8 warme gerechten van de verrukkelijke Libanese keuken. Veel verse ingrediënten. De inrichting is warm en comfortabel. Kortom, wij voelden ons goed verwend.

Libanese keuken. Heerlijk gegeten, mooie presentatie op kleurrijke borden. Gezellige omgeving, Vers en divers… kozen voor het menu 8 x 2 ( vega versie). Vriendelijke bediening. En redelijke prijzen. De wandeling vanaf het station meer dan waard, komen zeker nog eens terug.

From the outside the restaurant looks very inconspicuous, we wouldn't have gone in and wouldn't have found it if I hadn't chosen it in advance. The restaurant is very nicely decorated inside. The food was truly a show. We had different mezzes that we shared and absolutely everything tasted great, an absolute recommendation! We were totally thrilled!

Delicious food! Not cheap, but worth every euro!

The service was not great. They were chatting on the side while we ourselves got up and brought the menu to the table. The mains don’t have enough food. The eggplant had two slices, the prawns were just two of them. We were confused… we weren’t told how the menu works, which i wish they had coz honestly we’d have eaten more coz the food was tasty.

The mas mez menu is really great. Lots of different snacks and many vegetarian options. Literally everything is tasty. Everything is different. I don't think it's the most inspiring place to eat on site, so I opt for takeaway.

Excellent for group dinners - we tasted a bit of everything and although we didn't believe the tiny portions would fill us up, by the end of the evening we were bursting! There was not even one dish we didn't love, but the yoghurt with mint, the lamb chops and the stuffed vineleaves were absolutely out of this world!!

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen! Wir haben spontan nach einem Restaurant in der Nähe gesucht und sind auf Maz Mez gestoßen. Sehr freundliches personal und köstliche Speisen. Das Essen war unfassbar geschmacksvoll. Wir können besonders sambia jbne empehlen.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen, sehr viel Auswahl, wir haben uns für anabeet, baba ghanoesj, hummus, sambia jbne und falafel entschieden. Das Personal war freundlich und das Ambiente sehr angenehm. Als Vegetarierin konnte ich mich super zurecht finden und war mehr als zufrieden.

Prima plaats om te eten. Mooie inrichting en voldoende personeel. 2 flessen water voor 15 euro wat aan de dure kant.

Als je nog nooit Libanees hebt gegeten, dan is dit een openbaring. We hadden een menu bestaande uit 8 koude en 8 warme gerechten. Vraag me niet wat wat was, maar de schotels, zie foto's, zien er schitterend uit door opmaak en kleur. Dan de smaken. Deze hebben een breed pallet en geen smaak is het zelfde. Mocht je nu denken dat er veel vlees in was verwerkt. De meerderheid is toch vegetarisch en dat vlees mis je niet door de smaak explosies. Top. Helaas voor ons niet op een gemakkelijke lokatie maar evengoed toch zeker dat we deze keuken vaker gaan opzoeken.

Overall nice food and nice atmosphere but the way things are charged (when the bill arrives) makes you feel a bit scammed and not wanting to go back. For example, they put a water bottle on each table to incentivize paying for still water. We knew that would be the case and felt rude to ask for tab so we just accepted it. But they then charged it 7.50 which is ridiculous. On the bill it's also listed as some other 'fancier' brand. (Edit: looked through older reviews and it seems this was the case before but the water was charged for 5.) Another example is the meze pricing. The normal meze is meat and the deluxe meze is meat and fish. They offer a vegetarian alternative which we assumed would be charged as the normal meze (they don't clarify on the menu) but they charge you for the deluxe.That was surprising especially as one of the warm meze dishes came quite burned. We didn't say anything to not make it a big deal.

Good food but also expensive as we paid 32 euros per person and we order one starter and one main course that each one was round 8.5 euros but beer and or bread were too expensive for the quantity of the plates. They have menu for 32.5 euros that maybe it is more food but also too expensive.

Eerste koude ronde was lekker en allemaal aanraders. 4 sterren voor de koude mezze. Van de tweede ronde waren we niet zo van onder de indruk. We gingen al vaker in Den Haag, en in het buitenland en dit was de eerste keer in Amsterdam.

Exceptionnelle découverte. Endroit légèrement excentré mais cuisine au top. Le menu du chef avec 16 découvertes était au top. Excellent moment passé en famille.

The food is quite tasty and well presented, however the portions are a little small and it is definitely too expensive for what they offer. We had to pay: 7,5 euro for a bottle of water (they place it on every table to lure customers in drinking it instead of ask for tap water, but the price is not even mentioned on the menu), 50 euro for a medriocre bottle of wine, 6 euro for a piece of pita (literally 1 piece!). I went in many Middle-Eastern restaurants and never had to pay for pita. If I order dishes like hummus and baba ganoush, the bread should come together with them, it is like ordering fish and chips and pay extra for the chips. Also, I usually don't mind if the waiters engage with customers or not, but the 2 people that served us never smiled and just quickly mentioned the dish names when leaving them at the table. I gave them 3 stars only because the food was good, and I don't give less than 3 stars if I ate well, but I will not visit this restaurant again. There are many other Middle-Eastern cusine restaurants in Amsterdam with good food, friendly staff and fair prices.

Super goede libanese tent, alleen de bloemkool vind ik minder omdat die volledig gefrituurd is en niet eerst in de oven en daarna frituur waardoor het heel vettig is. Voor de rest, eten, wijn en de granaatappel limonade is top. 5 sterren zeker waard.

Zeker een aanrader om de Lebanese keuken hier te verkennen! Fijne sfeer en goede service.

The food is quite good. Tasty and fresh. Nothing special about the service. Uncontroversial. But what is with forcing you to pay €5 for pita?!! It's like paying for curry and then also for the rice. Or ordering pasta and only getting the sauce?! Come on!

Beat Lebanese restaurant in Amsterdam!

Wij hadden het menu voor twee genomen en waren aangenaam verrast bij de eerste koude ronde. Heerlijke smaken en goede porties. De warme ronde viel een beetje tegen want we kregen, van de acht, maar twee vleesgerechtjes. Één van de acht hoorde daarbij ook, in mijn ogen, bij de koude ronde. Maar wederom heerlijke smaken dus wel met een goed gevoel de deur uit gegaan. Vriendelijke gastvrije heer in de bediening dus zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

I had the mezze menu with my friends at this restaurant. It was quite delicious and rich, and the presentation was great. The chefs prepared all the mezzes at that time, ensuring their freshness. However, the only downside was the slow service. Nonetheless, thank you very much!
