We had a very disappointing experience at Dabka Restaurant. A woman working there was extremely rude and unfriendly and refused to let us enter the restaurant because we had a large travel suitcase and a baby in a stroller. The weather was extremely rainy, and the restaurant was almost completely empty. We were traveling with a small child and our luggage, so being told to stay outside in the rain was completely unacceptable and very upsetting.

Hands down the best food we had in Amsterdam. The Mezza plate is phenomenal. Shukran.

I have been eating through Amsterdam with my mother for 12 years, and so far, this is the best meat I have eaten. And the hummus is amazing!

Overall, everything was fine, the staff was super nice, smiling and not pushy at all. The dish is 5 🌟 My rating of the atmosphere doesn't really rate the restaurant, but rather the loud conversation of the guests sitting behind us.

Are you looking for a reliable place in Amsterdam where you can eat delicious and good Lebanese food? Then I would definitely recommend making a reservation at Dabka. It is easy to walk to from Central Station. We received a friendly welcome. Plenty of choices for vegetarians. I asked for a change, and it was no problem. A light, oven-baked bread arrived hot! We aren't big eaters, but we felt welcome. Out of courtesy, we left early after the meal so we wouldn't unnecessarily occupy the table. The place was full, and our table was given away immediately. Great atmosphere!

The falafel was actually very tasty and well made. However, the dessert section is a total deception. I ordered "Knafeh" but they served a hot pistacchio kadayif (burma) instead. Authentic Knafeh must contain melting cheese. They are misleading customers who don't know the traditional recipe. Stars only go to the falafel, the dessert was unacceptable.

Best meal we had in Amsterdam, hands down. Dabka is halal, which made it an easy choice for our group of 6, and the food did not disappoint. Heads up, it gets busy during dinner, we waited a bit for a table of 6, but it was absolutely worth it. If you’re deciding what to order, go with the mixed grill, you get a bit of everything and it’s a great way to sample the menu. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and the service stayed solid even with how packed the place was. Highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for a great halal option in Amsterdam.

The worst treatment a customer can receive. I went to this restaurant for the first time. The customer started talking to me about politics. When he heard that I am Kurdish and I mentioned the name of my region, his attitude towards me changed and he started provoking me. I have never encountered such a racist person. I do not recommend anyone go to this restaurant. They smile at you, but inside they apparently feel very differently. Everyone deserves respect, regardless of origin or nationality.

In search for authentic middle eastern food, sadly this experience was disappointing and expensive. The meat was dry and was lacking spices.

If not the best in amsterdam it is one of the best for traditional lebanese food. You don't have to believe me check it yourself. The best food ingredients, the best service,t and the personal attention by owner. It is one of the best experiences in any restaurant I had in amsterdam since I started coming here in 1996.

The employee was very unfriendly and passive-aggressive. He answered questions sarcastically and came across as arrogant. When simply asked if the food was halal, he replied sarcastically and in a raised voice, "No, the food is not halal." Because of the poor service, we left the restaurant immediately and went to another one. This restaurant is not recommended.

It's one of the best Arabic restaurants in Europe, with a beautiful view of the canal, perfect for enjoying your meal. The pleasant atmosphere is well worth a visit, and the staff provides excellent service – a huge thank you to them. Note: It's recommended to book in advance to sit outside or wait for a table, as there is no air conditioning inside due to the restaurant not being permitted to install it, as the staff informed us.

The food was average, the service was terrible though, looks family run and they're literally abusive to customers, the owner saw us applying hand sanitary before eating then kept lecturing us that we shouldn't do it because bacteria is good, I made a mistake of tipping at the end only to find out later that the lady charged more tips than what I gave, and they were just generally rude. I think they count on the strategic location of it, that's all, however, there are certainly better places in Amsterdam.

A bad experience at Dabkeh Lebanese Restaurant. The grilled meats were dry and burnt. The appetizers were good and delicious, but the waitress was very rude. She kept saying the bill didn't include service, practically begging in a nice way! I don't recommend it.

I ordered lamb chops, lamb skewers, hummus, and salad. Everything was excellent. My only comment is that the prices are a little high compared to similar halal restaurants.

As Lebanese customers, we were very disappointed. I specifically asked if the chicken was charcoal-grilled, and the waitress said yes. What we received was clearly gas-grilled chicken. When I pointed this out, instead of apologizing or offering a solution, she simply said, “Come next time and order something else.” Misleading customers and dismissing their concerns is unacceptable. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.

The waiters were rude, and we had to ask for basic things like pita bread and ketchup instead of them being served with the meal. Lebanese hospitality is just as important as the food, and sadly this restaurant failed on both. We expected a much more authentic experience and wouldn’t recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Everything was seasoned perfectly according to the recipe, and the meat was incredibly tender. We especially recommend the "Mezza Mix" (appetizer platter) and the Shish Taouk (grilled chicken marinated in yogurt). We haven't eaten this well in a long time! You sit right in the city center by the water. The service was excellent, and the food arrived quickly :) If you want good Lebanese food, you have to go to Dabka!

During Amsterdam visit we find this amazing restaurant behind the St Nicholas Church and the Lebanese food was great, we had the chance to taste multiple dishes, and for us the best was the meatballs with tomato, however every other dish was also taste great. The portions big expect a hearty plate. The atmosphere nice with the canal, and by the welcoming family who runs the restaurant. Service was excellent. During our Netherland visit out of ten restaurants so far the best experience. We wish the best to the Restaurant and to the family from Hungary and hoping we can visit again some day.
