Very nice restaurant, not a large menu. But plenty to choose from. Vitello tonnato as a starter was very tasty, highly recommended. Pizza with pumpkin cream and gorgonzola was really delicious. Nice little terrace on the street, but very little traffic. Very friendly staff.

Everything was super. However it’s like they have a timeline you need to follow. The whole experience needed like 90 minutes from the order till you have the starter and main course.

The first time we visited, we were told its only by reservations only so we made a reservation for the next day. Visiting again the next day, we were welcomed by a waitress (missed her name), who gladly walked us to our table and gave us the menus. Shortly after, she took our orders and repeated twice that we ordered the pizzas without meat, so upto that moment all was well. When we realized it has been nearly 35 minutes since we ordered, we asked her about our order and she said it will be there in few minutes. Since our table was exactly facing the pizza oven, it was clear there was no order being prepared, so we asked again, but this time another waiter and the response we got suggested that it wasn’t punched hence not prepared yet (which was clear by that moment). To make this up, we had the manager drop by to apologize and the chef himself, so then the order was rushed to be served, and we finally got the pizzas 45 minutes after placing the order at first. In the end, the pizzas were really good, which made this up (to some extent) and not to mention the way the other staff handled the situation and the numerous apologies we got, except for the waitress that was actually assigned to our table and was taking care of us, which was a complete disappointment. In fact, even after food was served and payment was made, she had passed by our table several times, but never made an effort to apologize for her mistake, which was the reason for this hassle and frustration. Overall, if you are lucky enough to have another waiter attend your table, and manage to find a reservation that’s convenient, I would recommend dining at Ceppi’s.

The pizza is good, but the pasta is amazing!

The place was cramped and the tables were close together, the service wasn't very fast, we even had to wait to get the menu. We had made a last-minute reservation for our first day in Amsterdam. The pizzas were good, and the tiramisu wasn't the best tiramisu I've ever had, but it had a crisp texture and was delicious.

Had a wonderful meal here! The atmosphere is super cozy and stylish, and the staff are very friendly. We loved the pizza, and the tagliatelle alla bolognese was stunning, highly recommend it! Just keep an eye on the drink prices, as the water and beer were €5.00 each (check out my receipt photo for details). Still a great spot!

We had a delightful dinner at Ceppi’s without making a reservation. Their Ceppi’s pizza and tagliatelle al ragù are excellent choices for dinner. However, the tiramisu fell short of my expectations. Overall, it’s a great place in the city center to enjoy some pizza and pasta!

The food was good and most staff were friendly, but the blonde, balding waiter was incredibly racist and rude. We asked him for service, and he ignored us completely, ruining our entire night. Good food means nothing with this level of disrespect,never coming back.

We went there on a recommendation. We ordered medium-rare meat, but it arrived rare. Despite the restaurant being empty, our pasta, meat, and pizza were served really cold. We had planned to have dessert too, but changed our minds. I wouldn't recommend going there.

A while back we enjoyed the best carbonara here. Recently we tried it again and it was really bad. The thick egg sauce sitting on top was like a cloud of foam. You couldn’t see the pasta at all. I have no clue how it went from a 10/10 to a 1/10. We also had Burrata and Tiramisu. These were both amazing. But the main dish let us down big time, even more so knowing we had amazing carbonnara just a year or two back at the same place.

Recently my husband and I hosted our son’s rehearsal dinner at Ceppi’s in Amsterdam. We had an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, lively, and authentically Italian. The restaurant has a beautiful interior with a cozy yet energetic vibe that makes it perfect for our celebratory occasion. The management,including Laura, Friso and Niels were so helpful in planning the menu, set up of the room for 50 people and execution of the delicious meal! The food was outstanding — every dish tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the pizza had an amazing crust, and the burrata appetizer was one of the best I’ve had. Portions were generous, and you can really tell the kitchen takes pride in the quality of the ingredients. The cocktails and wine selection were also excellent. What truly made the evening special was the attentive and friendly service. Even though the restaurant had other diners, the staff remained welcoming and professional throughout the night making us feel special. It’s easy to see why this place is so popular with both locals and visitors. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Amsterdam with great ambiance and delicious cuisine, Ceppi’s is definitely worth visiting. I’ll absolutely be back next time I’m in the city!

We go there quite often as the food is really delicious, the price are quite average, some cocktails are really nice also and the staff is always really helpful. At night you have a vibrant atmosphere.

It makes no sense at to why one would ever give this spot less than a 5 star review. The food is moggs. Try the spicy rigatoni, the seasonal ravioli, and the pizza Diavola.

I’ve been wanting to go to this place for a long time. And I wasn’t disappointed, it was an amazing experience. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious and prepared with great care and attention to detail. The focaccia was the perfect balance of textures and flavors: impossibly airy and pillowy on the inside, with a deeply golden, shatteringly crisp crust on the outside. Every bite was saturated with fruity extra virgin olive oil and finished with a satisfying crunch of flaky sea salt. Oh, did I mention the burrata that comes with it? Yes- We also had the meatballs, as well as the seasonal ravioli and the spicy rigatoni pasta alla vodka. They are spicy but not too much. The service is outstanding. The staff attentive, friendly, and professional. Compliments to everyone working that night for such a blissful experience. I would truly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality Italian place in Amsterdam. And I will come back for sure✨

Amazing staff!!! Everyone’s so kind and welcoming. I had a sore throat and I ordered warm water..they were sweet enough for recommending to have honey as well. Food is super yummy especially the spaghetti al pomodorino✨✨✨

It was the worst experience service wise. We had reserved a table and we waited 30 minutes to sit down. After waiting no one would serve us at the table. I had to stand up a few times just to wave and tell the waiter to serve us. Horrible experience and the italian waiter was so rude to us that I cant imagine how they let that guy working there as a waiter. The food was very good but it deserves a one star for the horrible experience I endured there. I dont recommend anyone to go.. Only if they change their rude waiters and be more organized with the service. Horrible!

The focaccia and arancini starters were superb. We had the carbonara, rigatoni and ravioli and all were just right. Ceppi’s has great vibes - good tunes, right on the canal and lovely decor. The standout was the fig spritz!

An excellent experience and pizza staff were super smily and engaging, found me a seat in from of the pizza bar where I watched my pizza bring made. Had a nice chat with the pizza maker from Naples. Top level pizza. Wouldn't hesitate to come back. If you want a pizza and pizza bar atmosphere of the place. Thanks for making a great experience

Very tasty food and a nice atmosphere; reservations via email were completely uncomplicated.

The clam pasta actually tasted pretty good. However, I found small pieces of shell in a few mouthfuls, which was a bit disappointing because it put a damper on the meal. A bit expensive, quite a small portion, and the pasta bolognese wasn't quite perfect.

How can you not place a heater while sitting outside? This would be the only bad thing I would say about this restaurant. Aside from that the pizzas were incredible, best ones I had in a while!!! Pizza dough was my favorite part light and airy but had a little crunch, freshness of the ingredients shines through every bite. Dessert is creamy and soft, traditional tiramisu. All this done by Michele the chef (if I recall correctly) And cocktails were incredible! Such amazing staff at this place, veery friendly. Eva and the rest of the team took amazing care of us !!

we booked a table on the terrace thinking there would be some heating (as terraces in winter usually have) but the heaters they have don't do much, i think they should highlight that on the website. one of the servers told us they wouls let us know if we could get in at any point, but it wasn't until dessert that we were able to. either way we sat down there to eat because we were starving and craving pizza. i had the ceppi's and my friend had the inverno pizza, both were really tasty, i especially found the ceppi's very different and good because it's pumpkin cream base, i had never tried a pizza with pumpkin base. for dessert. we tried the tiramisu, which is very big in portion imo so i recommend it for sharing, it's slightly different to a normal tiramisu, i think it had hazelnut or some other nuts, very tasty though. the drinks are also nice, a little expensive for the quantity served though

Service was really great here and so was the food. The only slight downside was my friend ordered the spicy rigatoni alla vodka which was undercooked but everything else was great!!

I ate here yesterday and this was honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The crust was perfectly crunchy and the flavors were truly next level. So rich and well balanced, I’ve rarely experienced something like this, and I’ve eaten at many great Italian restaurants. The focaccia, the meatballs, and the tiramisu for dessert were all a 10/10. Everything was just spot on. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Not overly special, but perfect for a casual dinner. The service was friendly, the price quality ratio is great, and overall everything just felt right. In short, I 100% recommend this place. I will definitely be coming back. I’m still dreaming about that pizza.🍕🥹

We had lunch, but unfortunately the pizza oven was out of order, so we ordered pasta instead. It was very good quality and tasty, but the portion size needs improvement; we left still hungry. If we had been able to order more, we would have ordered appetizers. The chef came to apologize for the late service, which we appreciated. A bottle of tap water was charged at €5…

Consistency would be the right word. I think this is my third time here in the last couple of years and the food is always great. Authentic italian dishes, generous portions and great menu. You can’t go wrong with any choice. This is hands down one of the best italian restaurant in Amsterdam. BUT… I’ll always remember it for the bad service. How can it be this slow with just 5 tables at lunch? I am not talking about the kitchen: I think dishes are coming from the kitchen at a good pace. Issue is with the service, and it was a constant in all my visits here. Had to ask 3 times for the bill. Had to constantly catch their attention for anything. Service is slow if you don’t notice I finished my starter 15 minutes ago, therefore kitchen won’t start to prepare my pasta. Can’t imagine how it could be at dinner. Overall, seems like kitchen is working at 5* while service is not at the same level. Having said that… I’ll be back, for sure. It’s hard to find something this good. Hope you’ll fix the situation, then you’ll be in my top 3!

This restaurant is dedicated to authentic Italian cuisine, and their pizza dough, especially the one baked in a wood-fired oven, is exceptional. The wine is also delicious, so if you're unsure where to eat, this is the place to go!

The service was good and pretty fast. The food was amazing. Maybe try Ceppi’s pizza, I think it’s the best pizza we ever had. Everything was very tasty, starting from the side salad to the main course and they offer quite a selection of wines and food.

Beautiful venue, with a really nice atmosphere. Food was delicious, especially the spicy vodka pasta. Prices are around 22-25 euros a pizza.

A huge surprise, really excellent quality. We had antipasti as a starter, followed by pizza, and dessert. Everything was excellent. It was also packed, so I don't think it's news, but I didn't expect it so close to all the tourist traps. Prices are a bit higher than usual, but the price was excellent. The only downside was that we were seated a bit close to the door, which isn't recommended at a popular restaurant (it's cold). Otherwise, belissima

Cozy and romantic atmosphere. The service was fast and attentive. We asked for cocktails that weren't on the menu and they made them for us without any problems. The food was fantastic. Parmigiana was so tender and vitello tonnato was very good with delicious tuna foam. For mains, I had carbonara it was perfectly salted and very creamy. My friend gets the same pizza here three times and it never disappoints. Unfortunately, we were too full to try the desserts but we’ll definitely do it next time.

This place is just great, if you want really good Pizza or Burrata then come here. We have been going to this restaurant since 2023 when we go up to Amsterdam. Lovely place, great seating, nice waiters, big pizza oven.. over all great atmosphere.

Went in, said we didnt have reservation but was 2 of us, they said thats okay, we have the bar and we asked if we could eat there they said yes. We were sat there for 10 minutes with no menu or service, the waitress was 5 feet away from us doing nothing just looking around. We eventually asked for a menu, waited another 10 minutes without service when the waitress wasnt doing anything so we got up and left

Very tasty food and excellent service (despite the crowds)

The food was delicious! The staff was quick. We sat in the back of the restaurant, but the atmosphere wasn't great. It was very sparsely decorated, unlike the bar at the front. Bright blue neon lights from the shop across the street were coming in, and the decor was incredibly sparse. Sitting in the back wasn't very inviting. I recommend they pay more attention to that, like using curtains or decorations to dim the light. It's best to sit in the front.

The food and the location are great, and the interior of the restaurant is also nice. The service is, however, maybe the worst I've experienced in Amsterdam. Our waiter had a horrible attitude; he was rude and obviously treated us very differently from the other guests at the restaurant. If you can't offer the same service to all guests, you shouldn't work as a waiter. The staff here need some serious training in service (as you can see in the multiple reviews stating the same). Even though the food was great, I'm leaving a 1-star review because the staff left A BAD taste in my mouth!!

The food was good and offered excellent value for money. The only downside was the waiter with a ponytail who was completely stiff and stiff after a few awkward lines, which made communication a bit choppy. Despite this, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was also good.

Nice restaurant in a well-kept neighborhood of Amsterdam. The dishes are tasty for 10/10, we ate an amazing carbonara cooked exactly as it should be. The Bresaola pizza is also very good, thin Neapolitan dough and nice ingredients. However, if you want quantity on your plate, the dishes are definitely not large. We paid 57€ for a pizza, a carbonara and 2 small glasses of beer.

Parmigiana di melanzane with basil was truly excellent, full of flavor and perfectly balanced. The vitello tonnato was a real delight — the sauce was incredibly tasty, and the fried capers were an amazing touch that I absolutely loved. The meatballs were also very good, rich and comforting. The pizza dough deserves a special mention: incredibly soft and very thin at the same time, just perfect. You can really tell the difference when the dough is made properly. The service was excellent throughout the entire meal — attentive, friendly, and professional. Compliments to the whole staff for such a wonderful experience. I would truly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality Italian food in Amsterdam.

We had the "Diavola" pizza, which was excellent! I don't think I've ever tasted one so good! We also tried the pasta carbonara, which was delicious. Don't be fooled by the small portion size; it will definitely satisfy you! I was a little less impressed with the tiramisu, which needed more sugar and coffee! The staff is friendly and welcoming! A great place to try if you're in the area!

If I could give the service 0 stars then I would have done! Food was stunning but the service and the staff were horrible and sarcastic. Very disappointed because this place would be well worth the money if it wasn’t for the staff they were very rude and I waited 10 minutes for just a fork. The “glass of wine” costing €9 was a drop of wine in a glass! Photos below!

We had an hour to grab something to eat before a concert at Paradiso. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and everything went very quickly. Highly recommended!

The waitress was so slow that we had to ask twice for our wine glasses. The starters were served, and we still didn’t have any water or wine glasses. The waitress was eating and dancing right next to us instead of doing her job. This place looked nice on paper/Instagram, but the reality isn’t as good: the food is fine but nothing special, and the staff/service is really unprofessional.

The food was amazing, I loved both the pasta’s and the pizza’s the only thing I would say was that the reservation time was quite strict so if you would like to eat without pressure maybe not always the best place and the set up is quite tight a lot of tables. But would definitely recommend for a quick dinner!

We went here for lunch. The waiter shamelessly picked his nose right in front of us. We reported this to a colleague and asked if she could help us further. She said she would pass it on and help us. Unfortunately, when the main course was served, the same waiter came to serve us. We were, of course, no longer hungry. We did pay and left promptly. It was a very disappointing experience that after we reported this, the other waiter did nothing about our request, completely ruining our lunch. We will definitely not be returning after this experience.

We were told to sit at the bar to wait to be seated but no one came to take our drink orders. A couple of friends and I decided to spend Halloween weekend in Amsterdam, a city that's always magical and vibrant. We woke up and started looking for a restaurant for lunch/brunch. We came across Tucci's, a very cute restaurant located on one of the canals not far from the famous Dam Square. We entered at 2:30 PM, to a nearly empty restaurant. We asked for lunch, but the hostess at the entrance stopped us, saying the restaurant was full and there was a wait. Incredulous, we accepted the wait, but after half an hour in the cold, noticing that no one was coming in and with over 20 empty tables, we insisted on sitting down, but the hostess, still with her acidic attitude, told us to wait until, and thanks to an Italian waiter, we finally managed to sit down. We finally managed to order, but alas, not understanding the reason, we noticed that both the hostess and the waitress were almost annoyed that their excellent colleague had seated us. The food wasn't bad; in fact, it deserved a 3/4 rating. The pizza, too, was very good, but unfortunately the overall rating is low. I think the management needs to find staff who are willing to work, polite to customers, and respectful of others. In short, I'd recommend it for the food, but not for anything else. Kudos to the Italian waiter.

Staff was kind attentive and they accepted us on a sunday evening without a reservation. We ordered foccacia and burrata as appetizer, pizza and ravioli, tiramisu as a desert. All of them were extremely delicious. AMAZING 😋😋 No disappointments despite sitting on the high table at all.

We were here on a Friday evening, and the restaurant was fully booked. The appetizer (burrata) was good, nothing special, with few tomatoes but lots of pesto. Our pasta (carbonara and spicy rigatoni) was a huge disappointment. We could see that the pasta was brought down from the basement in a dumbwaiter, and it tasted like it: dried out, the sauce had soaked into the pasta, and it was lukewarm. The carbonara is usually so creamy, but this time it was completely flat. The tiramisu was an absolute disaster. It had a firm, rubbery consistency, like almond-flavored overnight oats—I'd had enough after two spoonfuls. Perhaps you should order pizza on a Friday evening; it's baked upstairs in the restaurant and served immediately.

Italian Atmosphere and Flavors Nov 2025 • Family Tastefully decorated, the idea of ​​being able to eat at the counter was very pleasant. The quality of the products was very good, as was the flavor. The bartender (Danilo) was very kind and knowledgeable, adding to the atmosphere. The portions were not overly generous, and the prices were average, perhaps on the high side. A very good rating for a dinner in a pleasant setting and atmosphere.

The food was fantastic, the service was also top notch and Ceppis attracts a very nice crowd. I definitely recommend eating here, I think it's the best Italian in town!!!

Very good food with generous portions. We had a preset menu that included salad with burrata, parmigiana, meat carpaccio, ravioli, pasta, and pizzas. Everything was top-notch: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We left absolutely full and satisfied. The wines were decent as well. The place was very busy; even though we had a reservation, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table. Other than that, no complaints. I really liked the interior and the lively atmosphere.

We booked a table about a month in advance, as we were spending a few days off in Amsterdam over the weekend. Unfortunately, despite our request/comment in our reservation, there was no table available for us (two people), and we were seated at a kind of bar in front of the pizza oven. It was very hectic, loud, and hot, with no legroom to comfortably eat and drink. The waiters didn't seem to want to address our request, even though there were free tables. We decided to go to another Italian restaurant nearby. Luckily!

Despite having made a reservation a month in advance, we were not given a table. We were seated at a kind of bar in front of the pizza oven, where we couldn't see each other and there was hardly any space. It was also very noisy in the room.

The first part of the restaurant is beautiful and atmospheric. The food is good, and the service is reasonably attentive. Bread and dip are a bit pricey for €9.

I am just really obsessed with this place, tho they are always so busy. Food is amazing, seafood spaghetti is super flavored, the staff are so friendly and have good vibes. My go-to-place for an elegant Italian night!!💕
