Solid Italian restaurant in our Amsterdam! Really good tasty wine list. Pizza dough is proper. Pasta tasty with gluten free option. ❤️ Service is very good, including the bartender who knows the bar better than most and with a great vibe 🤙🏽. Thank you guys! No reason to not come back. ❤️

We had the "Diavola" pizza, which was excellent! I don't think I've ever tasted one so good! We also tried the pasta carbonara, which was delicious. Don't be fooled by the small portion size; it will definitely satisfy you! I was a little less impressed with the tiramisu, which needed more sugar and coffee! The staff is friendly and welcoming! A great place to try if you're in the area!

If you dream of Italy but don’t have time to travel, Italy has come to you in Amsterdam. The food is absolutely delicious — every dish is a true pleasure. You can clearly feel the hand of an outstanding chef. The service is attentive and fast, with friendly and professional staff. A truly wonderful experience. If I could give the service 0 stars then I would have done! Food was stunning but the service and the staff were horrible and sarcastic. Very disappointed because this place would be well worth the money if it wasn’t for the staff they were very rude and I waited 10 minutes for just a fork. The “glass of wine” costing €9 was a drop of wine in a glass! Photos below!

We had an hour to grab something to eat before a concert at Paradiso. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and everything went very quickly. Highly recommended!

The waitress was so slow that we had to ask twice for our wine glasses. The starters were served, and we still didn’t have any water or wine glasses. The waitress was eating and dancing right next to us instead of doing her job. This place looked nice on paper/Instagram, but the reality isn’t as good: the food is fine but nothing special, and the staff/service is really unprofessional.

The food was amazing, I loved both the pasta’s and the pizza’s the only thing I would say was that the reservation time was quite strict so if you would like to eat without pressure maybe not always the best place and the set up is quite tight a lot of tables. But would definitely recommend for a quick dinner!

We went here for lunch. The waiter shamelessly picked his nose right in front of us. We reported this to a colleague and asked if she could help us further. She said she would pass it on and help us. Unfortunately, when the main course was served, the same waiter came to serve us. We were, of course, no longer hungry. We did pay and left promptly. It was a very disappointing experience that after we reported this, the other waiter did nothing about our request, completely ruining our lunch. We will definitely not be returning after this experience.

Excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam with very good food

Excellent dinner in Amsterdam. Freshly made pizzas and excellent pastas. Cannot fault the food However, service was slow. We were told to sit at the bar to wait to be seated but no one came to take our drink orders. Then once we were seated it was a long wait for someone to come and give us menus and take our food order. Overall a delicious meal and despite the service I would come back

A couple of friends and I decided to spend Halloween weekend in Amsterdam, a city that's always magical and vibrant. We woke up and started looking for a restaurant for lunch/brunch. We came across Tucci's, a very cute restaurant located on one of the canals not far from the famous Dam Square. We entered at 2:30 PM, to a nearly empty restaurant. We asked for lunch, but the hostess at the entrance stopped us, saying the restaurant was full and there was a wait. Incredulous, we accepted the wait, but after half an hour in the cold, noticing that no one was coming in and with over 20 empty tables, we insisted on sitting down, but the hostess, still with her acidic attitude, told us to wait until, and thanks to an Italian waiter, we finally managed to sit down. We finally managed to order, but alas, not understanding the reason, we noticed that both the hostess and the waitress were almost annoyed that their excellent colleague had seated us. The food wasn't bad; in fact, it deserved a 3/4 rating. The pizza, too, was very good, but unfortunately the overall rating is low. I think the management needs to find staff who are willing to work, polite to customers, and respectful of others. In short, I'd recommend it for the food, but not for anything else. Kudos to the Italian waiter.

Staff was kind attentive and they accepted us on a sunday evening without a reservation. We ordered foccacia and burrata as appetizer, pizza and ravioli, tiramisu as a desert. All of them were extremely delicious. AMAZING 😋😋 No disappointments despite sitting on the high table at all.

We were here on a Friday evening, and the restaurant was fully booked. The appetizer (burrata) was good, nothing special, with few tomatoes but lots of pesto. Our pasta (carbonara and spicy rigatoni) was a huge disappointment. We could see that the pasta was brought down from the basement in a dumbwaiter, and it tasted like it: dried out, the sauce had soaked into the pasta, and it was lukewarm. The carbonara is usually so creamy, but this time it was completely flat. The tiramisu was an absolute disaster. It had a firm, rubbery consistency, like almond-flavored overnight oats—I'd had enough after two spoonfuls. Perhaps you should order pizza on a Friday evening; it's baked upstairs in the restaurant and served immediately.

The food is excellent and the pizzas are amazing, but if good service matters to you, I wouldn’t recommend it. The bartender is rude and the only somewhat friendly + attentive person was one waitress. I wouldn’t return for that reason.

Italian Atmosphere and Flavors Nov 2025 • Family Tastefully decorated, the idea of ​​being able to eat at the counter was very pleasant. The quality of the products was very good, as was the flavor. The bartender (Danilo) was very kind and knowledgeable, adding to the atmosphere. The portions were not overly generous, and the prices were average, perhaps on the high side. A very good rating for a dinner in a pleasant setting and atmosphere.

The food was fantastic, the service was also top notch and Ceppis attracts a very nice crowd. I definitely recommend eating here, I think it's the best Italian in town!!!

Very good food with generous portions. We had a preset menu that included salad with burrata, parmigiana, meat carpaccio, ravioli, pasta, and pizzas. Everything was top-notch: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We left absolutely full and satisfied. The wines were decent as well. The place was very busy; even though we had a reservation, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table. Other than that, no complaints. I really liked the interior and the lively atmosphere.

Tasty authentic italian Restaurant

We booked a table about a month in advance, as we were spending a few days off in Amsterdam over the weekend. Unfortunately, despite our request/comment in our reservation, there was no table available for us (two people), and we were seated at a kind of bar in front of the pizza oven. It was very hectic, loud, and hot, with no legroom to comfortably eat and drink. The waiters didn't seem to want to address our request, even though there were free tables. We decided to go to another Italian restaurant nearby. Luckily!

Despite having made a reservation a month in advance, we were not given a table. We were seated at a kind of bar in front of the pizza oven, where we couldn't see each other and there was hardly any space. It was also very noisy in the room.

The first part of the restaurant is beautiful and atmospheric. The food is good, and the service is reasonably attentive. Bread and dip are a bit pricey for €9.

I am just really obsessed with this place, tho they are always so busy. Food is amazing, seafood spaghetti is super flavored, the staff are so friendly and have good vibes. My go-to-place for an elegant Italian night!!💕

Don’t know what the reviews that are low are saying we went there and the atmosphere was amazing, staff were brilliant and the food was fantastic. The meatballs were moist, tasty and the sauce was 👌. The bolognese was amazing also, very tasty and fresh. The Pizza was delicious. All in all Ceppi’s is definitely a must if you’re in Amsterdam. Highly recommend. Thank you for a great feed, probably the best we had in Amsterdam.

The food here was absolutely incredible! We had a starter, a pasta, and a pizza,w which totals around 40 euros per person. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food arrived promptly. If you’re looking for an Italian restaurant in Amsterdam, I highly recommend this place!

The staff are not friendly. The restaurant was empty and the dishes took a long time to arrive. Sunday time.

The food was delicious and the service was quick and pleasant. We ordered two pasta dishes; Tagliatelle Bolognese and Pasta Carbonara. The bowls were a descent proportion each. The one thing that was not provided as part of the dish was bread. I would absolutely come back but next time, ask for bread. We did not have a reservation but we're able to be seated quickly at what could be described as the smallest table in the world. But it was still a pleasant table. Restaurant is located on the canal, so outside seating, with outdoor heaters, can be very nice.

The three of us went out for dinner and all three got food poisoning that night. We called, emailed twice, but still no response. Absolutely unprofessional. It's a shame, because I used to love coming here.

We absolutely loved the pizzas at Ceppi's. The appetizers were also delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the service was excellent! We definitely recommend Ceppi's if you're in the mood for Italian cuisine!

Apparently, there aren't any free tables in a completely empty restaurant. Three people eating at the bar? No thanks.

Service was extremely slow. After waiting over an hour for some pasta, I was given one with meat which I am severely allergic to. Instead of apologising, they were acting as if it was my fault. The staff lacked empathy and made everyone sit next to each other which was very uncomfortable. We paid for our drinks and left, not giving money to such a bad business.

We were 3 people who were lucky 8ch managed to get a table and a good dinner at this cozy place. The service was good and the food was also of high quality. we were very satisfied

Been to Italy many times and Italian restaurants all around the world I am so sorry to say this but this place makes the worst pasta I have ever tasted. I had made reservation before going still when we went there we waited 10-15 minutes to sit. Our waiter was great, she is the only reason I held myself during the meal but the male waiter was weird first when we entered and said that we have a reservation he said ok and went inside we waited for him for a long time didn’t come back than I told the female waiter so she went inside and came back prepared the table and said she didn’t cause they didn’t tell her and afterwards he brought everyone their meal but we waited for our pastas ( seasoning strange greasy tastes off) for 45 minutes guys I am not joking I started a stopwatch I found this place from TikTok and checked the reviews here but it was the biggest disappointment

Amazing food! Sometimes is can be busy so we had to wait a bit, but no that was no problem for us. And the atmosphere was nice, surrounded by nice people and staff

I went here for lunch with a friend and we both had a wonderful experience. I ordered a delicious pizza and a Bellini, everything came out very quickly, with no waiting around for food or drinks. Our server, a young man, was incredibly kind, attentive, and really took care of us. To be honest, I was a little worried before coming because I had read some mixed reviews recently, especially about the service. After my visit, I truly don’t understand why,the service we received was excellent, and it was clear that our waiter put a lot of effort into making sure we had a great time. As always, the food was outstanding, the pizza is absolutely top quality. I left extremely satisfied and will definitely come back again!

I'm not quick to give five stars to a restaurant without at least one Michelin star, but I'm happy to make an exception for Ceppi's. Everything is perfect. The delicious food, the atmosphere, and the service make this restaurant, in Michelin terms, more than worth a detour. It was my first visit, but I'll definitely be back.

I thought the pizza was excellent but overall it was a bit over priced. The cocktails were also super expensive (NYC pricing) which isn’t the norm for Amsterdam.

I was turned away at 9:20pm because “the kitchen was closing”. I’m guessing it’s because I was alone? Restaurant was busy, but had a few open tables. Staff was rude.

The food is very average, not up to the mark at all. The service is bad and their morale is even worse, especially the young employees. As for the girls, they are pretty. The staff makes fun of my pronunciation because he is Arab, and whenever I say something, he says it is not available. Their staff is awful. Thank you 🤣

The quality of food and service has drastically declined since last year. Too much salt, the pasta was overcooked and tasted like a brick. The staff changed the meal with no fuss, but still not the best. Great vibes, but the food could be better.

Dinner came to 109 euros, we gave 150 in cash (50 each), the waiter said we gave 110. We looked at the cameras, it is not visible what bill we gave. In short, they tried to cheat, but it was not so. Be careful if you pay in cash

The restaurant has a nice terrace, staff is slow but overall the restaurant serves tasty food. The pizza is probably the best choice, as the rest of the dishes were tasty but way too salty. We recommend: meatballs and parmigiana. You must make a reservation at least few day earlier. The prices are higher but the portions are big enough.

The food was cold, way overpriced, and the pasta with tomato sauce tasted like pasta with pesto from the supermarket! You don't want to spend $22 on such a small, low-quality portion! Furthermore, the waitress gave us a cursory look and escorted us to the farthest corner of the restaurant.

We were really looking forward to check this place out and what all the hype is about. It was definitely not the worst place I have been to, having travelled all over the world, but it comes very low on the list. Arriving a little early, we sat down by the bar and ordered a drink each. Shortly after, the three of us were shown a nice table inside. We took our drinks to the table. Unfortunately it's all down hill from here. After taking our initial order we were suddenly asked to move to another table. A very small table suitable for only two people.They had over booked. We didn't want to let this stop our evening so we agreed politely. After this it was like we “disappeared” for them. The waitress seemed more interested in helping the other clientele and even though we asked for help we only got a rude nod and had to wait for 30 minutes before we got any help. We asked politely for the drink menu. Our pre drinks were finished a long time ago now and we wanted to have a refill before the main courses were served. Eventually, we were served our main courses from another waiter but not at the same time at all. This caused some of us having to wait without drinks or food while our friend nearly finished the main course before the rest of us could join in. Still no drinks, refills of water or refreshments of any kind, for anyone of us. Just when our dinner was almost fully done did we receive the drink menu. I rarely review anything but I feel this really isn't worth the hype. Unfortunately I believe the restaurant is becoming too popular because of social media and therefore the constant flow of guests which again makes them loose touch with their guests on a genuine level. Lastly, I want to point out that they charge double the price as several of the other restaurants we have been to in Amsterdam. For double the price we expect double the service and excellence thereafter. They did not deliver. Taking all this into account I feel this experience was a 3/10.

If you are looking for wonderful Italian food while visiting Amsterdam, Ceppi’s is the way to go. The environment is quite amazing in the back as you can watch the incredible pizzas being prepared, placed in the massive oven, and then the final preparations for service. The pizza crust is so crisp, fluffy, and flavorful! The Bolognese was out of this world and one of the best I have had not in Italy. Be sure to stop in here for a fine dining experience.

Everything was too slow service was terrible we just waited 20 minutes for the menu after that ı wanted extra parmaggiano for my pizza and it took also 30 minutes to bring like ist it that hard to bring a cup of cheese!

Nice interior decor. Good food. Loved the Nonno Pippi pizza. Service left a lot to desire. Some of the other pizzas were good to okay. Everything needed salt. The only pasta ordered took a long time and no apology for the serious delay.

It all started with us being made to wait 15 minutes, despite having a reservation. Even then, we felt like we weren't welcome. Then: Extremely unfriendly and, above all, unprofessional service. They seem to have no idea how service works. At one point, they even slapped my arm with my plate instead of simply giving me a quick heads up so I could make some room. In the end, we wanted to split the bill, which is perfectly normal. This was rejected with the statement, "We don't do that here." We insisted, and the waitress, outraged, left, saying, "We should calculate it ourselves," to get her colleague, who was just as unprofessional and couldn't/wouldn't calculate it. The blonde female server also made the "cut off head" gesture to her colleague behind the counter and then pointed at us. ABSOLUTE RUDENESS! Furthermore, the portions were so small that, for example, the spaghetti was simply empty after five forks. The food itself was delicious and the ambience was nice.

Cozy location but the food and service were very disappointing. We ordered 2 starters of which we received 1. Then we had to ask for the 2nd main course ourselves, which was also the wrong dish. The main courses were really so sour that it was difficult to eat. Furthermore, the service does not come by, we had to ask for everything ourselves.

Used to love to come here when place just opened! Food is always great here but the service became non existent. Had to wait for over 30 minutes for an americano ( cocktail ) when the waitress thought its a coffee haha no apologies whatsoever. Terrace girl had no eyes for details and have been neglecting not just us but other tables. Bar staff was quite rude when we tried to give back the watery americano, so we had no other choice but to cancel our food order, pay for what we had and leave immediately. Don’t want to comeback but will miss the food. Kudos to chefs!

Last weekend I went here for lunch - the food was very tasty I had the ceppi's pizza, this was a unique taste that I had not tasted before. - the service was okay, this varied per server. We first got a wine glass that was dirty and a water glass that was broken at the top. Apologies were offered and we got a new glass but this was sloppy. My sister is vegetarian so we had asked if the meat could be replaced with something else, unfortunately they were not flexible in this. - the atmosphere was good we sat outside on the terrace by the water which was nice. Inside looked very asthenic. In general I would come back here. 7/10

After being ignored by three different waiters, the manager eventually showed us to our table. He was then seen making out and joking with his girlfriend at the bar - totally inappropriate. Food was great, but the service leaves a lot to be desired.

We went to Ceppi's for dinner, it seemed to be a restaurant very popular with the locals, as there were plenty of Dutch speaking people - we seemed to be the only English people in. That said, the staff we're accommodating and spoke English to us with no complaints. The food was delicious, I had a pizza and my partner had the seasonal ravioli - both were fabulous and arrived reasonably quickly. The staff were friendly enough, but definitely busy. We would definitely recommend a visit and would go back a great find!

Despite waiting 30 minutes, I was repeatedly overlooked for service. I observed other customers being served immediately upon arrival, and my attempt to simply ask for water at the bar was also ignored. As I walked out no one seemed to care. Try somewhere else.

Absolutely unwelcoming and unprofessional establishment, with staff who are not only shockingly rude but also completely incapable of offering any solution-oriented thinking. At 17:00, we were told that all tables were “reserved,” despite the entire place being visibly empty. We could even see available tables on the waiter’s iPad. It’s deeply disappointing to encounter this kind of behavior — not just bad service, but a complete disregard for basic respect and fairness. Establishments like this one project a very negative image when it comes to equality, inclusivity, and hospitality — both culturally and from a human rights perspective.

Today my friend and I came to the restaurant to have a quick bite before the theater, we came five minutes before opening, when the restaurant opened, we were offered to sit at the bar, since all the tables were booked, but the restaurant was empty, I asked to sit us at a normal table, but the hostel said that all the tables were booked. It seemed absurd. I advise the restaurant administration to be more attentive to the staff who are ruining the reputation. I have been to this restaurant before, but I will not come again and I do not advise anyone. I have never encountered such stupidity of employees, it's funny and sad:)

Had a great meal at Ceppi’s! As a starter I had the burrata – deliciously creamy – followed by the spicy rigatoni, which was really tasty. The tiramisu for dessert was classic and tasty, but a big portion, I couldn’t finish it. The mocktail (the sour version) was surprisingly tasty and definitely recommended for those who don’t drink alcohol. The atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful and stylish, although the tables are quite close together. The service was friendly, although we had to wait a bit longer now and then. All in all a nice experience and definitely a place to come back to!
