A neat, semi-hip, down-to-earth coffee shop with delicious coffee, tea, and a variety of food. The food is fresh and good, but quite pricey.

A kid-friendly spot that was perfect for a daddy/daughter lunch. On top of the food being delicious, it was more than enough for one person. The spin on the Cubano was something quite unique that was worth trying. The heat added a nice little layer that separated it from any Cubano we’ve had before. Super kind staff, easily accessible WC for little ones, family atmosphere without the chaos. Plus, there’s a park that’s a 2 minute walk away. It’s great for kids to get out their wiggles after a delicious meal.

We had a very nice stay. The coffee was very good, and the selection and taste of the cakes was also very good. The staff is friendly, and ordering in English is no problem. The price is perfectly reasonable for what's offered.

It's wonderful to have breakfast like this. We were lucky; it was a Monday morning, and the weather was beautiful. A lovely part of Haarlem, a lovely place.

Mediocre coffee for a specialty coffee price, I don't find that very sympathetic but from the language spoken in the tent and here in the reviews it is aimed at expats & tourists, who might be willing to pay for it. Too few staff too, which means that the staff that is working has to run very fast and the waiting time is quite long.

No laptop policy because that is 'unfun'. But after 2:30 PM it is allowed because then it is apparently 'fun'. A bit out of date with that frenetic fuss over laptops.

We had a quick and tasty lunch. The soup is real, not from a can. Service quickly and efficiently! I recommend

Very cozy, the cheesecake was amazing and the cappuccino was huge

I went this morning and was disappointed. We ordered scrambled eggs (roerei) with salmon and received bread (open faced sandwich) with salmon and a sliced hard boiled egg. My father wanted wheat (brown) bread, we were told they didn't have any today. The food was fresh and good, the response to our getting the wrong food was simply "well, if you liked it everything is okay, right?" I won't be going back.

The second we stepped in, we felt comfortable. The atmosphere was so calm and relaxing and the food insanely delicious. I loved the interior decorations (plants), it added a lot to the already nice atmosphere. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Will come again.

The establishment is perfect for a quick lunch at a very reasonable price. The choice of sandwiches is varied. The train station is 5 minutes away. Very practical for a small meal before taking the train.

I come back to this place every couple of weeks because the location, food, service and atmosphere are amazing. Great spot to sit in the sun for a coffee but also the food here is gorgeous. Great value for your money and much recommend the BLTE or Salmon with scrambled eggs sandwich. Cleeff is definitely a family favorite and highly recommend this place to anyone that is in or is visiting Haarlem.

The worst service you can imagine. The service only speaks English, slams the coffee on the table, without milk, without sugar. Only when asked for both does she only bring the sugar. I had to walk for milk myself. And to make matters worse, the coffee was still cold.

Gorgeous broodjes for reasonable price

Great for coffee, lunch and drinks. Just like the entire neighborhood, it's trendy and has a lot of cargo bike people. Service is friendly.

A lovely place for a baked good and delicious coffee. I had the passion fruit-white chocolate cake as well as a carrot cake. Both were delicious! Also nice to have accessibility for dogs outside.

The most delicious salads and sandwiches are here. I really love smoked salmon salad. I definitely take orange juice and coffee. Large selection of homemade desserts. The staff is friendly and helpful. This creates a very cozy atmosphere. There is also a great view from the windows. I recommend.

We’ve passed by this place many times while taking the bus to Haarlem Noord and today we finally got to try it. The atmosphere and service were really good and the staff were all super friendly. We tried the smoked salmon salad, tuna melt, Mexican chicken wrap, and Mexican chicken melt. The portion for the salad was pretty big. The gele smoothie was also very tasty. We can’t wait to come back and try other dishes here 😊

Always a nice place for lunch and/or coffee, especially when the sun shines on the terrace. Always busy, that says enough. Staff friendly.

We had a wonderful lunch here with 3 adults and 2 children aged 12. According to some reviews, children are not welcome, but we did not notice that. Waitress was friendly and food was good. By the way, the prices you see on the website are different than when you sit down there.

We felt like having a cup of coffee and smoothies with the kids on Saturday morning. Upon arrival, the owner just made it very clear to us that children are not welcome. Left immediately and will never return here. What arrogance and zero customer friendliness in the presence of other guests.

Cozy place with tasty (somewhat pricey) coffee and tasty cakes

Today we had lunch with 60 people at Van Cleeff. Because we came with such a large group, we had of course arranged this in advance. Everything was well organized by Ruby and Merel! Excellent choice, well-filled sandwiches, great service and an eye for people with allergies.

We made a trip to Haarlem and went twice to this cafe, mostly because of the lovely breakfast, which was also enough to not need anything else, and the nice calm atmosphere :) I wish we had such a cafe in my home town as well.

Voorheen waren de broodjes zeer goed belegd. En erg lekker! Maar de afgelopen periode zijn de broodjes veranderd een stuk kleiner geworden en minder belegd. Wij vinden dit erg jammer waardoor we ook minder vaak komen. Hopelijk gaan jullie weer terug naar de oude kwaliteit van de heerlijke broodjes.

Een ' simpel ' eettentje maar hele lekkere broodjes en goede koffie! Ook de sfeer is relaxed .kan er soms wel druk zijn en dan is het voor mij net wat te gehorig. Buiten zitten kan dan gelukkig ook( als het weer goed is )

This was a lovely café that we tried recently. Nice selection of sandwiches that can also be a wrap or a salad! I didn’t try the sweets, but the cappuccino was lekker. Great location; you can tell that it is a cozy local favorite.

There is a wide variety of foods and drinks on the menu; with breakfast, lunch, cakes and more foods; coffees, smoothies, alcohol and more drinks. The food and drinks are delectable and the staff are very affable. When we arrived at the coffee shop, we were served immediately and received our food and drinks within minutes. The coffee shop has a cozy, homey and bright atmosphere. Every table has a menu, and when the food is brought, staff provide utensils, napkins and condiments. It is an excellent place to meet up with friends or family to eat breakfast/brunch.

I had a flat white and cheesecake both were delicious!

1 van de beste koffies van Haarlem, personeel is laid back, druk en netjes, plakkie cake (voor 5E) of een red velvet is uiteraard te lekker en te vet dus af te raden.

Super fijne plek voor ontbijt en lunch in Haarlem. Lekkere koffie, taartjes en broodjes. Wij komen altijd graag. Tot snel!

Leuke tent ! Aardige bediening. Goede koffie. Besteld: Tuna melt en Kip melt. Beide waren ruim belegd( plus punt) en smaakte prima. Echter 1 min punt, de kaas overheersde en daardoor uit balans. Ik proefte geen tonijn. Dus als geheel was t best lekker maar eerder van, heb een lekkere sandwich gesmolten kaas gegeten.
