I really enjoyed the service and the staff was incredibly friendly and open to suggestions for changes entering in menu. The carrot cake was really good, except for the overly sweet cream (which was very sugary), but I just removed it 😅 However, the coffee was sour in my opinion and I prefer a bitter Italian roast…. Anyway I enjoyed stay there 🤍

Small cafe with nice cake and bakery. I had nice matcha latte. tasty. Limited seated and at peak hour can be slightly delay for food and drink. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Also can do takeaway.

Mica in Haarlem is such a nice little spot. Coffee’s always good – smooth and not too bitter. The place has a chill vibe, not too busy or loud. Great for just sitting with your laptop or catching up with a friend. Staff are super friendly too, never in a rush. Feels cozy but not cramped. I usually go for a flat white and it never disappoints. Also love their little snacks and pastries, always fresh. It’s the kind of café you just end up staying at longer than planned. One of my go-to places in Haarlem for sure.

Amazingly rich in flavour coffee and soft pastries. A little on the pricey side, but the quality of ingredients is very high. The atmosphere is very minimal and cozy at the same time. Staff is lovely

It is not often I give a place 5 stars on all categories, but I just can't think of anything I didn't like at Mica Coffee bar. Mica had the most calm, warming, cozy, living-room-like atmosphere. The times I have visited, it was fairly quiet which suprised me given how amazing their coffee was. Even the decaf coffee (which I'm normally not the biggest fan of) was a great hit. The barista's know what they're doing and they are very welcoming and sweet. The bananabread is a 10/10! One of my favorites in the city. You can really taste all the good and pure ingredients in there. If you're looking for a cozy spot with good coffee, Mica is really the best place to go.

This is one of my pearls in the city. It is a small simple cafe but: The service is always cheerful and good. You will not get better coffee or cappuccino. And their almond crosant is so good. Highly recommend.

A cute little cafe on a small side street away from all the tourists in town. We sat outside in the sun and drank cappuccino with oat milk and matcha latte. The coffee is very tasty and the cake is even better. There are vegan cakes, croissants and cookies. Pack up your non-vegan friends and take them to paradise. :)

Super delicious matcha latte. High quality powder is used here. The café is located in a side street where you can relax and take a quiet break. There are plenty of seating options and both vegans/vegetarians and "normal people" are satisfied here. Cake and cookies are also super delicious. Every pastry is vegan but really tasty. This place is definitely recommended. 🥰

Atmosphere and outdoor’s either indoor’s design was so beautiful. Coffee and snacks were delicious.

I've been there twice now. When you enter it is very quiet, no loud chatter, no loud music. The café itself is laptop-free, which is great if you just come for relaxation. When ordering coffee, you are nicely asked what kind of milk you want in it, super cool! Delicious almond croissant and good coffee. On the expensive side, a croissant at the station is cheaper. Latte + croissant is €8.30. In addition to the delicious refreshments, there are also items for sale such as coffee cups for on the go, milk jugs and other tools.

Delicious matcha latte and vegan matcha croissant! Unfortunately it has become more expensive again. Understand it, but it's a shame. For once in a while!

I happened to walk past this coffee bar. I decided to go inside and the display made me very happy. It was difficult to choose, but I went for the almond croissant and the poppy cake. Both delicious. So nice to have so many cow's milk free options. Highly recommended!

i got a matcha latte today, and all i have to say is that i will definitely be back for more. i almost cried when i took a sip of the matcha latte… they use really high quality matcha as well and it shows ✨ staff is really friendly and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. the picture i took of the drink doesnt do it justice btw!!!

This cozy coffeeshop is a true gem for vegan baked goods! The friendly and welcoming staff make every visit a pleasure, and the fact that it's dog-friendly is a huge plus. Our dog loves their croissants just as much as we do—it's our go-to spot for a treat and a warm atmosphere!

Updated review in 2024 - I have visited maybe 12 times now over the last few years. This is an excellent coffee shop, almost certainly the best in Haarlem (though I haven't tried newer rivals yet). The lattes and cappuccinos here are delicious and well-made. It's a nice environment and the seating outside has a delightfully peaceful atmosphere, although the reclined seats have been replaced by upright chairs. The cakes are vegan if you care about that. We also took away the house beans and got excellent results in a bean-to-cup machine. Still highly recommended.

Friendly staff and nice vibes but really bad matcha! 😭 I was already worried when they brought it because of how light colored the matcha was and that’s usually not a good sign. Basically 99% oat milk, did not taste the matcha at all. Did not inform the staff because I didn’t want t bother them about it on a busy weekend but would be great if they either serve actual matcha or just change it on the menu to “Milky Matcha” so people know what they’re getting.

I’m a regular at Mica, I love it there! I find myself always recommending it to people, bringing my friends and family here when they’re visiting me and so on so why not leave a review? It’s good! The environment is quite nice, it’s a comfortable place, there’s vegan baked goods and even a couple of gluten free options (the snickers and the brownie). To be honest I would be the happiest if they would also do the lemon poppy seed cake in gf version.

In my opinion, the best coffee ever. In my opinion, music could be a little less present, but that is personal.

This place was ok to me. The girl serving was very friendly and nice. The cappuccino was ok, but the almond croissants we took didn’t feel fresh at all both to me and my companion. You can work from here for some time so it’s kinda laptop friendly. But I wouldn’t buy bakery here :)

“All food is lactose-free,” it said. However, my girlfriend & I both suffered after eating here 'lactose-free'. If you have a cow's milk allergy, I do not recommend this. Even with an intolerance to milk it is not safe.

Mica is a nice place to go to if you want to sit down with a friend and have a chat. It has a lot of natural light and the interior is cute. I had the matcha croissant which had a nice taste, but the croissant itself was a bit stale. Also tried out a mushroom powder latte (forgot the name), which unfortunately had a grainy texture in the end.

Matcha latte and lemon cake were very delicious, the employee was very friendly. We were very pleased, it is definitely one of the places I will go again.

Croissant and coffee were delicious! You have a comfortable seat there and the service is very friendly. The croissants are vegan, but be careful when drinking them because they can also be made with cow's milk. There are plant-based alternatives available.

The coffee is pretty average but the vegan croissants are beyond amazing - the best croissants I’ve ever ever had, vegan or not. EDIT: We went back and sat down for coffee and I take it back - the coffee is great! And the chai latte / golden milk is amazing :)

Quite enjoyed going to Mica until I got told off for using my iPad! I was 1 of 2 or 1 of 1 customers inside at the time (ie it was rather quiet) and I was asked to not use my 'laptop' (actually an iPad) as they have a "no laptop policy". Sadly that was the last time I went there (which is many months ago now). I might understand if the place was packed and people were queuing to sit down whilst I selfishly occupy a table and 'rob' Mica of potential business... But I was literally the only paying customer in there at the time - and I'm always self conscious about sitting somewhere for any amount of time without at least buying something to warrant my taking up space... I was a little offended... So I've not been back

Great cafeteria for delicious croissants and a good coffee. However, it is not suitable for studying or working on laptop. Poor signal no Wi-Fi, so it really depends what you’re looking for.

Das war eine echte Entdeckung über die wir zufällig gestolpert sind aber sicher noch einmal ansteuern werden. Toller Kuchen, extrem guter Kaffee und super freundliche Menschen. Das es zudem Vegane Kuchen gibt, ist dann wirklich eigentlich sechs Sterne wert.

This cafe is a hidden gem that exceeded my expectations. The beautiful ceramic cups added a touch of elegance to the cozy atmosphere. The presence of locals created an authentic vibe, and the cakes were simply divine. Highly recommended! BTW, I hope next time the latte will be less bubbly!

The bar is lovely and situated in a nice spot in the city. I was tempted to try everything since all the items on display looked amazing, but I ultimately chose a stunning carrot cake and an iced coffee. The staff is also delightful and pleasant to chat with. I highly recommend it to both vegans and non-vegans.

We liked the normal croissant the most. Almond was too sweet for our taste and also didn't really taste like almond. Matcha also didn't really taste like Matcha, the taste of white chocolate was stronger. But all in all still very delicious and recommendable! Quite pricey but lovely atmosphere.

Heerlijk kleine knusse zaak. Heerlijke mogen genieten van de Chai latte. Tijdens het wachten op mijn bestelling mogen genieten van de heerlijke geur van banket 👌🏼 Chai Latte was goed van smaak. Goed gemaakt en heerlijk genoten van de Chai Latte. Een echte aanrader.

This was a lucky find on a Sunday morning when almost everything else was closed. The coffee and carrot cake were yummy and the barista was lovely to talk with.

Realmente me gusta venir a este café porque está fuera del centro de la ciudad y es muy acogedor. Tuve un capuchino y un pan de plátano. Aprecio todas las opciones veganas que tienen.
