Cocktailbar on the Rocks in Rotterdam Centrum

We were strolling through Rotterdam during our vacation and thought we'd treat ourselves to two really great cocktails at a high-end cocktail bar in the Double Tree Hotel. That was one of the worst bar experiences I've ever had. The service was friendly, but you could tell they lacked experience and routine. The team is very young. We ordered two Pornstar Martini cocktails. The drink was delicious, but it wasn't served with the classic passion fruit. While serving the drinks, the waiter spilled a fair amount of my drink onto the table and my leather jacket. He begged for my forgiveness, wiped the table, and gave me a napkin for my jacket. There was no attempt to make amends. Neither a refill of my glass nor any other way to rectify the faux pas. In a bar in such a supposedly high-end hotel, you simply expect this to be handled differently. Especially when one of my drinks (a good sip for a hefty €18) lands on the table. If the waiter can't decide such things himself, then the situation must be reported to the restaurant management and dealt with accordingly. --- The bar's ambiance seems high-class, but upon closer inspection, you notice that some things aren't being done right. The ceiling looks like something from a 90s office, the Christmas tree looks like it was decorated last minute, and some plastic sheeting was carelessly thrown underneath to cover the stand. The cables for the tree lights were simply taped to the floor, half of which has already come off and simply looks unsightly. The drinks menu is made of paper, was dirty, and had probably been in use for a few weeks. LED candles on the tables look like something from a shisha bar. A no-go for drinks costing almost €20 each. I absolutely cannot recommend visiting this bar. It's not fun, it's too expensive for what you get and you just don't feel comfortable in this bar.

Terrible, everyone is unfriendly, not recommended for tourists in the country..

We arrived at 22:00. The kitchen is closed then and you can no longer order a snack. The bar is really bad. Absolutely not appropriate for a luxury hotel. We ordered a gin and tonic. It came in white wine glasses without the extras mentioned on the menu, such as red fruit in the pink gin and cardamom in the monkey 47. When we commented on this, the pink gin was replaced after a lot of fuss. My husband was unlucky and had to make do with the wine glass. A gin costs 17 euros there. Then you can expect, especially in a luxury hotel, that they make something nice of it. In the past, a gin and tonic here was really something special. Now it is absolutely not recommended anymore.

Hotel bar. A bit expensive. A little too long to wait for drinks to be ordered. A cocktail was served modified from the menu, without asking for confirmation before and without explanation when serving it. Damage.

Delicious starters eaten. Of which the carpaccio is served very specially ❤️

Unfortunately, the entire cocktail bar was packed. You couldn't stand there and certainly couldn't sit there. So no service and an unheard noise. No atmosphere just people talking louder and louder

Drank coffee. Asked for a glass of water for my baby. This was not possible because “we only serve by the bottle”. Never experienced this before. Paid and left quickly.

Quite the price... but hey, what can you expect in a hotel

Lekkere cocktails. Bar is onderaan in het mainport hotel. Cocktails zijn verzorgd.

Top service, great drinks and a lovely view

Super cocktailbar! It's not only the cocktail that makes this experience that much better but also the waiters. Big shout-out to Rianna and Mike for the nice after noon.

Minder exclusief en chique dan ik verwachte. Ouwe wijven als klant

Hele mooie inrichting, maar het duurt wel 30 minuten voordat je pas je cocktail krijgt, terwijl er 3 andere klanten aanwezig zijn. Je krijgt kleine glazen maar wel flinke prijzen en daardoor raad ik hem af.

Lekker in de schaduw met uitzicht over de Leuvehaven. Heerlijke cocktails!

Schöne Atmosphäre + nette Bedienung

Nice comfortable place to get a drink, right under the hotel lobby. I visited around mid afternoon where the staff needed to look up how to make some of the drinks. Not sure what its like when this place is super busy. Stick with basics or beer and you will be just fine.
