I got very sick from the calamari I ate there.

I went to a party and I found it shameful to have to pay every time I went to the bathroom after having already paid for entry.

Chill. Trusted for years, enjoying a drink or a snack.

Very odd, and to be honest, I found it quite suspicious. We had to pay a lady named Nomi or Naomi, but we were only allowed to transfer the amount of 110 via Tikkie to a personal account number after we had left. By the way, it wasn't just us; the group behind us even had to pay 86 euros in the same way. I found this very strange. Is this supposed to be like this, or does anyone have experience with this? I am curious if others have experienced this as well.

As a customer, I had to pay for the toilet.

Last week my brother came here with a group of five white friends. He was the only person of color in the group. When they arrived, the security guard looked at them one by one and literally started deciding who could enter: “You, yes. You, yes. You, yes…” Then he got to my brother: “Not you.” They were all dressed similarly (long pants and shirts) so clothing clearly wasn’t the issue. No explanation was given for why my brother, and only my brother, was refused entry. What makes this even more disturbing is that this place presents itself as a “Caribbean Latin” venue, yet the one Caribbean person in a group of white guests is singled out at the door and denied entry. You can draw your own conclusions about why he was the only one rejected, but the situation speaks pretty loudly for itself. If you’re going to profit from our Caribbean and Latin culture, maybe start by treating people of color with the same respect as everyone else. I felt the need to leave this review since I knew my brother wouldn’t, it really hurts to hear that these issues are still ongoing and happening to the people closest to us. And from the reviews I see that this has been an ongoing issue at this place and nothing is being done about it.

Very bad. The menu lists a chicken taco for €5.50, but she charges €6. On top of that, I waited 30 minutes and then they said the taco was sold out. I asked for fries and she said the kitchen was closed. What a shame.

The food, the people there, the atmosphere... Truly fantastic! You are welcomed here with incredibly cheerful smiles, nice work outfits, and a stunning interior! Great salsa beats also feature here! Super fun and friendly staff! Hospitality is their top priority! A normal price, but what you get in return is worth it!

Low level customer service. Had to remind the employees 3 times for missing items from our order. Rude and unhelpful. Can’t rate the food because it never arrived.

We were there for couple of times before, but it was our last visit to coconuts. Waiter messed up with our orders couple of times, the cocktails become with more sugar (if we compare it to the previous times) and first time we met a lady that took payment for the toilet visit. Maybe it is ok for that place, but we will never come back again. Very disappointed how this place changed in a couple of months.

Security at the door rude And they still need to learn how to treat people

My husband and I used to go here every week, but this has never happened before! The security guards were incredibly rude; they pushed us out onto the street without warning. We hadn't done anything wrong and had even taken the bottle we'd bought. The treatment was absolutely scandalous. There were three of us, and they probably took advantage of the fact that there were no men around and that they have so little respect for women. Ladies, if you don't have a boyfriend, don't go to this bar!!!!

Doormen seemed paranoid and aggressive.

We received fantastic service from Gino and Nina ❤️ Gino immediately spoke to us in a very warm and friendly manner, and we felt instantly welcome. He came by several times to check if everything was okay and really made us feel comfortable. You can tell he really loves his job. Nina was also very sweet and helpful. Thanks to both of them, we had a wonderful experience. Truly top-notch service!

Disproportionately aggressive bouncer (ginger with a beard). Communicatively incompetent, suddenly starts yelling intimidatingly in your face (bad breath). Doesn't understand your questions and resorts to clichés like "Are you a king?" Uh, no, just a person with a question you don't understand. Points for the other bouncers, though: they de-escalate, communicate well, have a sense of humor, and are human, literally human. Don't go to this place. Bonus: upon leaving, you might receive the middle finger from the blonde woman at the coat check (I don't know if this is standard or a special treat).

There is no respect of the people. They kicked me out for wearing a coat. They'd forced me to pay to hang my coat even when I was wearing it. They made you pay for going to the bathroom as well. Everything is expensive as well. Don't go to this bar.

We were kicked out for not paying for the cloakroom when we had an account of more than €400

After spending almost €500 on the bill and subsequent rounds, from 10 pm onwards a woman started charging us whatever she wanted every time we went to the bathroom to pee, and they wouldn't let us put our coats in a corner without bothering anyone... they forced us to pay for a cloakroom.

A security guard rudely removed me without me having done anything wrong, without any explanation. I asked for an explanation, and the entire security team denied it. They told me that if I wanted to talk about it, I would have to wait until 5 a.m. and that they were employed by another company. I spoke to the police, and they told me that the best thing to do was to file a complaint (which they refused to do), and that there was nothing more I could do, but the treatment was terrible, without any explanation whatsoever.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience here. Their cocktails is more like a slushy drink with low alcohol levels. We went out late on a Saturday with a group and one of them was late and they didn't let him inside because of a hat, even though we explained he's with us. However, it's crowded and the level lf respect for their costumer's is low.

The old Coconuts has been given a new look. The vibe is good, the service is good, but the space is small. The interior has changed a bit, but it's a shame it's so expensive to go in and pay for long coats, but short coats aren't that unusual.

The food was way too tough, and the order was only halfway placed. I enjoy food, but this definitely didn't work out. The food had no flavor, and the steak was overcooked. This was NOT something I would do again! After half an hour, I felt nauseous and sick and went to the toilet. Definitely not worth €55.

The atmosphere itself was very pleasant. The music they played was nice. The waitress, with her blonde, curly hair, asked me to get up from the couch because a group of people wanted to sit down at a table with a bucket full of drinks, while I was sitting down because I had back problems. I doubt I'll go back. The prices are reasonable for a nightlife experience, though. €4.80 for a Red Bull is reasonable. I've seen worse.

I thought the prices were reasonable for a nightlife experience. A bottle of moet was €80. And you also get fruit, which was nice. The bar staff were very sociable and good at selling and chatting. One security guard was cheerful but alert. I don't think the other one was on that night. He was very grumpy. A man was walking around with roses all night, selling them for €5 each and taking Polaroid photos, which also come at a cost. Coconut doesn't need them, of course, I think.

Very good food, and good cocktails. On the other hand, we felt like we were bothering the head waiter by arriving with several people, even though the terrace and the interior remained empty the entire time. Not a single smile from him in 4 hours, barely a hello. Fortunately, his female colleagues were more pleasant and even super professional!

Coconuts has undergone a major renovation, and it's turned out beautifully! The interior is fantastic and the ambiance is truly a breath of fresh air. The menu has also been completely revamped, with delicious new cocktails and tasty snacks. Highly recommended! They're open 7 days a week from lunch until club hours!

We didn't visit this location to eat, so unfortunately I can't say anything about that. Our visit was purely focused on the nightlife. We thought the entrance fee of €10 was reasonable, although we were surprised that an entrance fee was charged at all. Once inside, it was noticeable that the space is actually quite small, but this is made optically larger by the use of mirrors on the walls. It was quite busy, which of course contributes to the atmosphere. However, we found the atmosphere rather strange. Many ladies (customers, not the staff) had an attitude of "don't look at me the wrong way, or I'll do something to you", which did not feel particularly inviting to us as visitors. There was a rather tense and somewhat vulgar vibe, with tables full of men, buckets of drinks and fireworks. That kind of VIP feeling and then also just in a fairly small club does not suit us. The barman was very friendly, but also a bit strange: he threw my drink down the sink three times because he added the wrong soft drink each time. Meanwhile, he was dancing behind the bar as if he were Magic Mike himself, which felt a bit uncomfortable. The toilet/cloakroom lady was unfortunately very grumpy and for the cloakroom you had to pay another €2, which seemed a bit excessive to us since we had already paid the entrance fee. All in all, the atmosphere just didn't feel good to us. We didn't feel comfortable there and left after a short while. Luckily, we found a place next door that suited us better.

The place is quite nice. It’s located in the city centre, but the prices are relatively okay, compared to other places in Rotterdam. The cocktails are really nice and tapas were amazing. Later in the evening, you can get inside, dance and enjoy some music.

I don't comment on the food because I haven't tried it, I can only comment on the environment and service. 5-star environment. However, the service on the part of a boy who seemed Mexican to me, he was very rude in the approach when I was going to ask him for a glass of wine and he thought I was going to touch him so stopped me abruptly

Nice atmosphere, the music can be really good or okay, depends on the day and time. Prices as as everywhere, and the staff is great. The only reason I gave service 4 starts instead of 5 is because they charge you to use the toilet.

At the DJ, there is a lot of new music, they don't always have to play bandolero and the same old reggaeton songs, and most of the time African music that you don't understand the rhythm with so much mixing. It's exhausting to listen to the same rhythm all night. SOLD OUT!

Unfortunately for my wife's birthday the DJ and the unknown music were basically not for dancing. It seemed like it was African music with boom boom and nothing else. There is newer, better-known reggaeton. Let's say international... What a shame

Before returning to the hotel, during my stay in Rotterdam at the end of June, beginning of July, a quick visit to this bar, where there are often parties (Caribbean when I came).

The service at the bar is very good but the rest leaves a lot to be desired, music, atmosphere.....

When it comes to clubbing, SECURITY IS HORRIBLE!!! If they're not in the mood they will deny you entry for stupid reasons like private clients only, regulars only, you're too under dressed or dressed too inappropriate when you're only wearing a short pants thats not too naked. However, if you want to have lunch or dinner, I would recommend it. The food and cocktails there are great.
