George Cocktails & Food in Rotterdam Centrum

Organizing a party with them is really difficult , communication is the worst, they talk as if everything is possible and will be fine, but at the day of the event everything changes. Not enough staff working, we had to wait >30 min to get our drinks every time we went to the bar. The beer was warm, there was a problem, so we didn’t have beer for a long time. They promised us air/con in the “private” room upstairs when they don’t even have it. There were some uncomfortable moments between people from 2 difficult parties that could have easily been avoided if management had been clear from the beginning about who has rented what and from when to when. We had snacks for food: food platter, bread with butter, nachos and fries. It was simple but oké .

Aggressive and racist managers! What could have been a nice and great party became a nightmare! The organizers overlapped 2 private parties and fooled everyone so the djs were mixed and there was no beer

Worst place ever! Bad organization: they overlapped two different parties at the same time causing a bad/violent atmosphere. Bad services: warm beer, no airco, long waiting to order due to lack of waiters, ...Everything arranged last minute after a lot of discussion and during the party already started. The only thing as per agreement was the big amount of money that we need to pay, but we didnt got the corresponding services. Save energy, money, be happy and go to another place!

We organized a party at this place. Talking with them to arrange everything looked easy and flexible. But the week of the party they suddenly told us there was another party at the same time and the day of the party, what we arranged with them was all different. They didn't have the airco fixed (as they said), they asked us to finish our dj one hour earlier. The beer was not working or warm for long time, long waiting lines to get a drink... At the end we had a good time but with some uncomfortable moments between partys that could have been avoid with a good organization and communication. I don't recommend to organize events at this place.

Cocktails are watered down, service is terrible slow and cynical.

Zou best leuk kunnen als cocktailbar, maar niet om te eten. Eten wordt gemaakt door de buren, zonder dat ze dat van tevoren zeggen.

Fuimos a tomar unas copas en la cena con 8 amigos que éramos los únicos allí y tuvimos que esperar 40 + minutos para nuestras bebidas en entrantes. Nos fuimos y fuimos a comer pizza. La comida era de otro lugar porque no tenían cocina y solo 2 miembros del personal que solo estaban detrás de la barra mirando su teléfono.

Good place: great comfort food and good cocktails. It used to be "slightly" better, but George is still a place where you can go every time.

Made a reservation for Kings day on their website, a day before we received a reminder by mail. When we arrived they tell us they are closed. This is so bizar! We we're really disappointed in them.

Sat there for 30 min without any service. Just stood up and left. Always bad service.

Toevallig bij George terecht gekomen om ene hapje te eten, maar dat viel erg tegen. Ik had de kipburger, deze was lauw en niet erg smaakvol. Daarnaast hadden we ook de kip van eht spit deze was droog en jammer genoeg ook niet erg lekker. Misschien hebben ze goeie cocktails deze hebben we dan niet geprobeerd, maar voor het eten komen we hier niet meer terug.

Erg gezellige bar annex eetcafe voor eten en drinken, goede wijn en als je kip lekker vindt kun je hier je ei wel kwijt. Een aanrader

A shame! Expensive and cold burger, a horror. For the price I was expecting a substantial burger, in the end this burger was tiny. The wine was expensive and undrinkable I do not recommend this address.

The food was cold, 15€50 for a cold and small Burger, after the meal I was not full. It's a shame, I've never eaten in such a bad restaurant, I thought the wine could raise the bill, I was wrong, execrable wine. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Une horreur, les burger était mal cuits, tout juste sortis du congélateur, honteux. Prix exorbitants, 15 euros le burger qui est équivalent au fast-food, le vin était immonde, le personnel est irrespectueux et refuse de diviser l’ardoise. Enseigne à éviter

I think the staff really learned from the previous reviews, because to us they were attentive, really polite, super helpful and friendly! We enjoyed having some cocktails and beers. Definitely recommend :))

After waiting for drinks for almost half an hour, we got 3 bizarrely sour virgin zombie cocktails with a lot of cinnamon. This was honestly unpleasant to say the least. This is not possible for people who do not like cinnamon at all. The menu did not say that the cocktail contained cinnamon, after indicating that we had not expected this and it did not go down well, we were told that they would see if they could do something for us. A little later we were told that we could get the "same" 😅cocktail without cinnamon for the full price again. We left and paid for everything we didn't drink. It's all about the money, service was nowhere to be seen. Just imagine how much profit you can make with a little water, syrup and some herbs in a glass. A good catering employee knows that there is much more to be gained from good service, which results in retention. We won't be back.

I have been around the hospitality industry for many years, not only as a customer but I was also working. The service there was by far the worst I have ever experienced. A friend of mine has some allergies and the guy told her that he wasn't even gonna ask the kitchen about it and that nothing could be done. The unprofessionalism and the rudeness of this waiter amazed me and this incident created a really awkward and wanting-to-leave atmosphere. It was a shame he had order our drinks first and wasn't able to leave right this moment.

Horrible service. My partner has a few allergies and asked whether a dish included them and the waiter told her that he wasn’t bothered to ask the kitchen and left saying he wouldn’t ask. The drinks were ok, it’s a shame we ordered drinks before food otherwise we would have left on the spot

Très bon cocktail, endroit calme et cozy situé dans une rue marchande. Le personnel est acceuillant et souriant. À decouvrir si vous êtes de passage sur rotterdam.

There was a very good DJ last night. With the best 90's RnB songs and with a couple of those coconut cocktails we had a good night.

Het eten is heerlijk en genoeg. Wij hebben 8 gerechten met zijn vieren gegeten. Er is een terras aanwezig. Je kunt er ook heerlijk van cocktails genieten.

Hele gezellige bar met leuke, vriendelijke en hardwerkende mensen. Lekkere lounge muziek beneden en dansmuziek boven. Heb hier de lekkerste halve kip gegeten. Goed gekruid en lekker mals! De bartenders maken ook heerlijke betaalbare cocktails. Zeker een aanrader voor een lekkere maaltijd, drankje doen of avondje stappen.

Ganz ok, Cocktails und Drinks sind allerdings überteuert, so viel habe ich nicht mal in der skylounge im Hilton gezahlt. Der Tisch an dem wir saßen war nass von den Vorgängern, es war ziemlich eng und schwierig etwas zu bestellen, bedient wurden wir nicht, man musste selbst an die Bar .

We only had cocktails, but the bartender was so incredibly nice, and let us come in close to closing so we could have a few quick drinks! I'm glad he did because those old-fashioned were some of the best I've had. Amazing service!

The drink is okay, but the quality of the food is less. The portion of food is relatively small. The environment looks cozy but it does feel very clean. Sitting in the high chair is not very comfortable.

Wij waren zaterdag op zoek naar een leuke tent na de film. Om 01.30 uur binnen gelopen. Het was gezellig, er waren lekkere drankjes en een super leuke dj! Leuke vibe en muziek. Uiteindelijk tot 03.30 uur gebeven. Mijn vriendinnen en ik hadden genoten!

Supergezellige plek en heerlijke cocktails ❤️ Vooral de barman had ontzettend veel liefde voor zn werk. Het moest helemaal perfect (en dat waren de cocktails ook) 1 puntje. De ober die zich ah begin vd avond voorstelde en ons vertelde dat hij ons de hele avond zou helpen, was ineens weg. Verder was alles wel naar wens.

Die besten Cocktails in der Stadt von einem der coolsten Mixer, den Ich je gesehen habe. Mussten heute noch mal hin und das Gleiche wie gestern trinken. Für einen alkoholfreien Top-Cocktail, der nicht auf der Karte steht, einfach den Mann mit dem Bart fragen! Der Zombi hat es in sich und schmeckt einfach geil. Jederzeit wieder......

Prima tent, wel harde muziek. Cocktails was lekker. De kipsalon wel ok.

Cooles Ambiente. Die drinks waren sehr stark - das wird einigen gefallen und anderen nicht. Die Bedienung schien etwas unfreundlich, zumindest haben sie sich jetzt nicht wirklich um ihre Gäste gekümmert. Vielleicht ist das aber auch einfach die Grundeinstellung die man in Rotterdam hat.
