I had my birthday celebration at Ceintuur Theater, the service, the food, the atmosphere were just amazing. I am so happy I chose this restaurant to celebrate, specially it was a group of 12 people and I wanted things to go well on my birthday, and it exceeded my expectation! The waiters were very attentive, warm and welcoming, the food was delicious, everything was great and will definitely come back more!

The staffs were very friendly, and the service was also satisfying. Food and the vibes were also very nice! Highly recommended place for a dinner.

Terrible! Had a “vip table” reserved for the Mexico v South Africa WC opener and they turned us away at the door because they were too full. Our friend even called the day before to confirm our spots. Amateurs!!! Just came all the way across town for this. Will never be back! There was a whole line of people supposedly with reservations that were let down and not let in. Unbelievable! Don’t go to watch games there! They let you book,confirm and then leave you in the rain! Your answer deflects responsibility for poor organization. We had a table booked for 14 and only 10 people were at the table, so what you are saying isn’t true. I could see space at our table through the window. You were poorly organized and should have prioritized your bookings as opposed to letting walk ins to fill the place out cos you got money hungry. A reservation is a guaranteed space why would i come early? That shouldn’t matter. I would never come back, you let me down for the opening game of the world cup which happens only once every 4 years.

Great brunch spot! The scrambled eggs with bacon were perfectly cooked, the rotisserie potatoes were delicious, and the Sunrise juice was fresh and refreshing. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and excellent food. Highly recommended!

Don’t go to watch the World Cup there! I made a reservation for the Mexico vs SA game which I confirmed the night before and when I got there was told we couldn’t go in because they were full. What place takes a reservation and doesn’t honor it? Unbelievable. Never going back to this place!

Dreadful. We went there to watch the world championship game of Mexico against South Africa. Advertised as a place to be for Mexicans for the game. Well, prices were steep, there was no audible commentary, out of decent beer at half time, and the DJ was god-awful, compensating the lack of decent audio with horrible tunes at uninvited moments. No go for me for a next game and I am not even Mexican. Please o please start with the basis first -the actual match- before you squeeze pesos out of people.

It’s no longer coffee and coconuts, there is no coconut anymore, probably taken over by some other chain. All decorations were gone . All menu is different and only 5-6 items in the menu that too very basic. I ordered flat white with coconut milk and was horrible.. this place is not worth the visit! And yes that bread on side is not free lol, we ordered focaccia for 8€ :/

What a lovely place! Recently, I wanted to work outside the office for a day. I chose Ceintuur Theater. It is great that for a small fee you can work there all day on the top floor, complete with fresh fruit and unlimited coffee. And of course, top-notch Wi-Fi!! Sweet and helpful staff. I will definitely come back to work here again.

Very tasty food! I had the cauliflower with hummus and I highly recommend it!! I did ask for it without raisins and that wasn't quite registered, but luckily I was able to eat around that just fine. The fries were also super tasty with delicious spices!! The service wasn't really fast or attentive, but that was actually nice and relaxed and quiet (though not convenient if you're in a hurry). The street is noisy, but that is to be expected on such a busy street, and otherwise you can always go sit inside. Overall, I had a very pleasant time with delicious food that I will definitely come back for!

TLDR; wanted to give my money to this poor empty business but they rejected me bcz I had a LAPTOP :D Rude staff, LAPTOPOPHOBIC PLACE :’) I’ve seen on the iAmsterdam website that this is a “laptop-friendly” place. Came over there, asking if that’s okay. I’ve asked AT LEAST ONLY for 15 minutes bcz i had an urgent meeting. However, the guy was rude and very unfriendly. The place was EMPTY. I understand that you are not responsible for a 3rd party website, and you are not the owner… At least be a gentleman and solve a lady’s problem, right? No… he chose to be something else. I hope this comment will be a good reminder to be kind to people. Especially to potential customers ;) And here my friends… this is where we are as humanity… selfish & extremely capitalist. anyways now go check my comment for the lovely friendly cafe right across JOE & THE JUICE :3 they DID accept me and even gave me a free muffin :3

Still nice vibe but since the owner changed the Portion sizes are a bit on the smaller size - especially for the egg dishes and the accompagnying foccia slices. And no more pancakes :( On the plus size, the taste of the food is good, service is friendly and attentive.

A very lovely restaurant with fantastic cuisine! We were able to sample many of the dishes, and every single one of them was exquisite. The attentive service also deserves praise and creates a feeling of coming home. Tip: ask for advice on a matching wine and you won't be disappointed. Simply top-notch 👍

I was in the co-working space upstairs in the café. It had power outlets, excellent Wi-Fi, and plenty of space at the large table. The €9.50 per day also included water, coffee, and fruit. If you wanted anything else, you could order via QR code and it would be brought to you. It was a bit drafty in that area. Otherwise, it was a pleasant place to work.

The atmosphere is cool. Unfortunately, the existing pictures/reviews are a bit misleading. The café used to be a "Coffee & Coconut Café," and the menu was different then. It doesn't match the current one. Nevertheless, it's a great café.

Waited 15 mins for a glass of wine and watched 2 other tables get their drinks ahead of me :( Gave up in the end.

Sweet repurposed cinema palace turned into a restaurant. Everything we ordered for lunch was terrific (Shakshuka, Farmer’s salad, French fries). Surprisingly - the coffee was by far the best we had in Amsterdam.

This place was Amazing! Stopped in yo have a couple of drinks before my massage appointment across the street. The service & appetizer, I ordered were so Delish...I had to return for dinner and they didn't disappoint! Good Food. Service. Atmosphere.

A few years later! Acoustics have improved. Great service and I keep coming back for the food. I choose the quieter moments to enjoy some time for myself. Time well spent here!

The place is beautiful and it’s a great experience not having to sit too close to other customers unlike in other cramped places in Amsterdam. I ordered the porchetta sandwich and asked for sourdough instead of ciabatta and my friend opted for the pumpkin toast. Plating was great and I personally really enjoyed the taste, though it would’ve been nice for the staff to clarify the differences of the actual dish (lettuce instead of rucola, etc). They were quite attentive though as they asked multiple times how the food was. For the portion size I thought it was on the pricey side.

We went without a reservation, but reservations might be necessary on busy days. The staff are friendly. The atmosphere is elegant and calm. I had vegan cauliflower, it was fantastic. The desserts are delicious too. I definitely recommend it.

I came here after reading the reviews about this place. Nice atmosphere and interior with great music. However, customer service was really disappointing. Had to flag down the waiter four different times to finally enjoy our order after 45min of being in the cafe. Perhaps it’s due to the rush, but still a simple order of iced tee took over 30 min to deliver. The waiters didn’t seem to be worried to check in on our table, not even once, which was weird because they regularly checked on other tables.

They updated the menu and I am very disappointed. They used to have gluten free pancakes (great for allergies) and now no pancakes…at a brunch place??? Very sad as it used to be a favorite of mine

I had a great experience here! I had visited before and already liked the place, but since the new owners took over and completed the renovation, it feels like a completely new (and much better) spot. The food and coffee have really leveled up, and now they’re also open for dinner with amazing cocktails. Highly recommended!
