Great coffee and the sweet treats are so good 😊

I was such a regular at this place but it’s not what it used to be! The music is so loud and terrible! You can’t have a proper conversation, let alone take a break! Dogs are unleashed and I’m not interested to have any dog come at my new clean outfit that I need to keep clean for the day! The days I’m here in my running gear, sure they are adorable but not to have them roam the place unleashed! Unless it’s become a dog cafe and I haven’t been updated! Maybe put a sign up! Coffee is fine though and the girls behind the counter are friendly!

Coffee is well roasted, however, cortado is too milky and quite pricey (4.40€ for a single shot). The service is super nice. There are places to sit but it’s quite noisy.

Cute place to sit with a friend but quite expensive for what you get. Earl grey tea was nice and the matcha is pretty good too. Two girls behind the counter weren’t the most friendly but could be because we came in a bit before closing.

Nice place, used to be a Coffee District but now taken over by Lot 61. Unfortunately, the prices have suddenly gone up considerably. I paid €19.95 for three drinks (Matcha Oat, small Iced Chai Oat, and small Cacao drink). The Matcha was €7 (!) and isn't even listed on the sign anymore – just "seasonal price." When I asked, they said it was correct. Pretty bizarre. Even with that high Matcha price, the other drinks remain very expensive. I'll be going back to Coffee District from now on, where a Matcha of the same size costs €4.70.

❌ Negative experience alert. Mood gone bad on Monday thanks to LOT61 Coffee Roasters. I planned to spend 1 hour checking my email with the laptop in a cozy looking coffee corner. That’s how I ended up choosing LOT61 out of all places around there… Just had my order and went looking for table and every table has either laptop free zone sign or only after 1PM laptops allowed. I mean… not a single table where I can sit… there was just me and 4 people in the coffee corner, not that I’m bothering anyone with my laptop, not even using the charger if the concern is that I eat up your energy… I already had my order, paid for it. But the staff says: sorry, no laptops before 1PM. And the time is 12… Fine… I’ll go somewhere else, wrap my drink for takeaway at least I can enjoy it on my way of looking for laptop non-discriminatory places. One sip and I understand the milk flavor, though I asked for oat milk because I’m lactose intolerant… order messed up, laptop discriminated, no negotiations, no wavering for the sake of clients. I guess, on Monday when you don’t have any clients and the place is practically empty the staff could be a little more attentive to the order, and a little more understanding when it comes to using laptops. Chai latte was okay, but the mood was not so chai anymore… their medium size looks like small size in other coffee corners. So to me it looks tiny… The choco cookie tastes a bit old, like it’s been out for 2-3 days. For these 2 things I paid €8 (surprising that the pin machine was asking if I wanna add tip 🥲) Usually coffee corners are your start of the day/week. But with such an experience they messed up my day and week. Thanks for that. One sip - One Bite = I ended up leaving the entire order on the bench… PLEASE read negative comments before you go there and make a checklist if you’re okay with old tasting cookie, overpay for tiny looking medium sized drink, discriminated for wanting to sit with a laptop. Headed to Pipes & Beans, will leave my review there as well. Stay tuned. I am entering as we speak and already hear nice music, busy atmosphere, people with laptops, friendly staff making one client smiling and having decent conversation. Will write more on their site on Google maps.

Mediocre cortado, insanely expensive, 2 or even 3x the price you would pay in Barcelona or Milan. Sorry, but this is not the way. Also, I was prompted to enter a tip into the payment terminal. Insane.

This place has been greatly managed by the girls who are here on a full time basis. I don't have many spots in Amsterdam I feel like going but I found myself here every day off I have just to journal and appreciate the energy here. The girls are always welcoming and smart working. Lot61 roasts also are one of the few ones in the past year that kept interesting because everywhere else roast is flat or underdeveloped. Here is the only place I can come for some interesting brews. And they have great prices for what you get.

A few months ago this place took over the wonderful reviews, style and location of what used to be Coffee District. Sadly, the quality of Lot61 is way less. It's not bad coffee, but not great either. The neighbourhood offers better options.

This place has changed for the worse since changing from Coffee District to Lot 61. The service is very slow these days and the coffee quality not as good. Still a solid coffee but nothing special.

The café has a cozy atmosphere and the service is great. I tried their latte - which was okay. A nice spot for a casual coffee break—I’d be happy to stop by again!

Had a Matcha latte for the first time, but with chocolate. Not really my thing. But hey it's 2025 so let's discover new places, taste dishes and drinks and have new experiences.

If you buy the coffee beans, which are quite pricey already and you are asked to give an automated tip, while you also need to grab the coffee beans yourself then…

Significant reduction in quality of coffee, baked goods and service since transitioning from Coffee District to LOT61. The attention to detail is gone. It’s a shame… used to be one of my favourite spots but certainly not anymore

This place used to be a favourite in the neighbourhood when it was under the old owners, and also my favourite coffee in Amsterdam. I decided to give LOT61 a try as I am not trying to be judgemental and I enjoy trying new places all the time. The coffee (i got a latte) was really bad, very bitter and the milk was burned (you could taste that it was frothed too long). We got some of their baked goods also and they were stale, not sure if they were even baked the same day. The matcha here used to be great, I refrained from trying the new one as the powder looked washed and not as good quality matcha. Unfortunately I will not be coming back soon.

This place transitioned into Lot61 2 months ago. Before that, it was “coffee district”. The new team at Lot61 is slow, not efficient and not as friendly or welcoming as the team of Coffee District.. I am missing Coffee District a lot and their friendliness..

Coffee tastes worse than it was under the previous establishment, Coffee District. It's either watery or milk tastes slightly burnt and pastries are dry any time of day. It is a pity, I enjoyed grabbing a coffee and a snack and walking in Vondelpark

Lot 61 - great vibes! I was initially drawn to the name because it reminded me of a cool club I used to frequent in NYC in the late ’90s. With the owners being ‘raised in Brooklyn,’ I wonder if it’s the same reference – unless it’s Dutch Brooklyn, which would be a nice coincidence! Either way, the friendly staff and fresh-tasting coffee made for a great experience. And the cinnamon bun? on point. * laptop free zone

Later edit: this used to be my favorite place for coffee and matcha, but since the owners changed, it’s not the same anymore, unfortunately. Matcha more watery and not as tasty as it used to be. Just an average matcha. From 5 stars to 3 :/

Perfect speciality coffee, perfect présentation, beautiful cups, great inside.

Since the new owners came in, the place is such a disappointment. The coffee tastes more watery and sour, and I noticed they heat the same milk 3 times sometimes. No wonder I experienced burned mouth and hands from holding the to-go cup. I even asked them to make it not too hot, and it still was way too hot. I also wonder whether their croissants are baked fresh in the morning because they don’t taste fresh at all. Also, they only have a staff of 2, instead of 3 or 4 with the previous owners. Even when there is barely a line it takes 10-15 minutes for them to make a coffee. With these waiting times it may well worth it to go to one of the other locations of the previous owners. You can take over a business but you can’t take over the heart and soul if you’re being cheap.

I've been coming here for a long time, and I can always get predictably good coffee here. Delicious desserts. Sometimes the atmosphere suffers due to the large number of people with laptops.

Best coffee in Amsterdam in my opinion, with great cookies and sweets to go with it. Only thing I was missing is service, as you need to order in the counter. Sadly it is also not laptop-friendly, even on the less busy times.

Inside of the cafe is so spacious and very bright. I think it might be a good cafe to study. I grabbed an iced latte to go, the portion is very big and it was 4,20. Good coffee!!

Very welcoming and relaxing place. The cappuccinos were good, the Crossaint too, except the apple cake in which there were no apples. Despite this, a recommended place for a breakfast with friends!

People with allergies or food sensitivities beware! Nice service, but no almond milk or other nut milks is irresponsible in this day and age when the harm of oat milk for people with glucose sensitivity or soy milk are very prevalent.

Googled for "work cafe" and this came up, ordered my thee and cookie, sat down & grabbed my laptop for then them to tell me there is a "no laptop policy" on the weekend (I also wasn't the only one this happened to). Didn't say this no where in or outside the cafe, maybe something you could think of to write down.

Floris has been a permanent fixture at CD since the late summer of 2020. This morning his delicate welcome cheered me up. Lovely to be served by a grounded, kind and well-meaning earnest barista and human being behind a counter. Such caliber in the food and beverages industries is very rare. The icebreaker: "every time a surprise where the pin is..." while I went on a first and only coffee date. Bram, Julie, Julia, Yannick, Lucia, Five people in a row who convey family happiness. Even if they have to make 707 coffees in one working day and tell ten people that their public auditions for Holland's Got Talent were great, they still serve me with the most human face they have in house. There are actual human interactions behind that counter. Those superseeds are even the finest roasted coffee beans in town. CD welcomes me. Whichever hat I'm wearing. I'm a little like the cat in the shopping window. In the rather exclusive reserve that is Oud Zuid CD is a rare treat. It's a delightful bird's nest if you encounter a small world along a street you might not otherwise step into, in which you're welcome, as you are, how you are, as long as you're basically clothed. You're welcome, and welcomed, listened to and accompanied by a sort of embrace for which neither the mum or the dad of the specialty shop are needed to oversee whatever happens inside. The place and it's visiting birds are looked after, sometimes personally given attention to, whether asked for or not. That... is weird, in a time dominated by screens, screen players and screensavers. Be happy, Take a Coffee District Sip. DG

Пожалуй, это единственное место в Амстердаме где всегда получаешь предсказуемо хороший напиток. Бываю тут минимум 2 раза в неделю. Этот филиал намного удобнее и комфортнее. Тихая улица, без очередей, персонал работает быстро и слажено. Мне нравится здесь матча латте. 4 из 5. Из за комочков, но я все равно буду продолжать сюда ходить. Приличный фильтр кофе. В будние можно поработать за ноутбуком (под это дело выделено несколько столов). Из минусов, все время не хватает стаканов для воды и уборная, могла бы быть почище.

The cakes and coffee are very good. The guy who seems to be the manager (only passing for food delivery and quick check) is very nice, but the rest of the team is not nice at all. Especially the girl with very long hair, we can even say that she is rude. It is sad as you expect from a place like to be friendly and you are well received but it is the contrary, you even feel you have to be sorry to be there. And I didn’t say that after one time, I gave this place many tries as I like their coffees.
