It’s a nice place but the service is not great. I waited 20 min to place an order, then another 20 to receive a drink, and my tosti still didn’t arrive after 1.5 hours of waiting..

We spent a few days in Amsterdam and always went there for breakfast. Everything was great, the coffee was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly. It has a really cool and zen atmosphere; it's very peaceful, stress-free, and tastefully decorated. Upstairs, you can find people working on their laptops while enjoying a coffee. We loved it. If it's nearby, don't hesitate—it's the place for you!

Dog-friendly cafés always win me over, especially when the food is a real gem and the staff are genuinely lovely. You can tell they adore dogs, and it just adds to the charm. And the food? Let me put it this way: they serve the best banana bread in the entire city. No exaggeration.

What I missed about the restaurant was that it's difficult to access with a stroller. To get to any of the inside tables, you have to go up or down steps. The space between tables is just enough to leave the stroller next to it. Despite this detail, the food and service are great.

The cappuccinos and pastries were absolutely magnificent. Definitely try the chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookie. I have tasted many such cookies in the US and across Europe, but this one stands out by far. The place also has a wonderful atmosphere for out-of-office work and students. The staff are also very warm and friendly. Will make sure again often.

Recommended by a friend, I stopped by for a coffee to go and some banana bread. Both were delicious, and next time I have time, I'll stay because it's so much more charming than most other cafes in Amsterdam! The staff are also very friendly and cheerful.

I’ve been coming here on and off for years and always enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly service. Unfortunately, over time the prices have gone up far too much while the portions have become noticeably smaller. For example, charging €9.50 for an overnight chia pudding is already on the high side, so as a guest you’d expect a generous portion instead, the size felt like a rip-off. The matcha was also disappointing, with a dull color that reflected in the taste. Overall, while the location and service remain good, the food prices and quality are no longer acceptable.

Cozy lunch café with friendly staff, the granola is delicious! The iced latte is a bit pricey, but a very reasonable price for Amsterdam.

The terrace is very pleasant. We ordered carrot cake and coffee, and we loved it. I recommend it!

Had a coffee in the upstairs area which was like a sauna. Otherwise normal coffee and cake.

The latte was ok, not great, (and not hot enough). The banana bread looked good but was not the best either. They have a nice terrace but I always like to sit inside. This was almost not doable by the very loud (on the edge of shouting) constant chatter of the staff, parts of whose personal life is now revealed to me. Seriously. I don't care the story behind your British accent nor the fact that you finally bought a bike. On top of this voluminous stream of gossip came people doing there spoken business with their laptop at no laptop tables and a lady who forgot her earphones watching YouTube video's. I will certainly never return.

I got served the most dusty coffee I’ve ever tasted.

Very friendly people working here. Was quite a long wait for the food, which is just an overpriced sandwich. The cheese tosti was really tasteless and the 15€ salmon on bread was drenched in sauce with a small slice of salmon on top. Not coming back for something other than coffee, espresso tonic was nice!

A very cozy place with a nice atmosphere and good coffee. Not much for eating though, because when I tried to order they said the kitchen is closed due to understaffing. Then I ordered a cake and something turned out to be wrong with that as well, and finally on the third order I got what I asked for, but the cake (lemon-blueberry) was unfortunately just okay.

WARNING: Wouldn’t recommend to Non-White people/People of Colour. Sadly had to alter this review since the service for this place has unfortunately gone downhill from two years ago. Been here a couple of times over the past month (since it’s getting warmer) and there should be the caveat that if you sit outside, it may take somewhere between 30 mins to 1 hour to be able to order, even if you try to get the attention of the server, they always seem to say we’ll get back to you and you have to repeatedly ask and push to be served. Most recent experience took me 3 times to ask and 40 minutes before I could rose and even just get a glass of water (despite the heat). Coincidentally, they weren’t actually that busy but for 10 minutes at a time, some of the people working there were just chilling. This may also be coincidental but the Australian at the bar didn’t seem to want to take any orders, unless you’re a white woman of course, sat by the side door and he turned away every non white person (myself, three non white girls and a black guy) who asked at the bar but was more than happy to help the ones he could flirt with it seems (three white women who wanted to order). Don’t want to label particular people but the behaviour was obvious. I guess some cafes treat non-white people differently.

Nice place to eat. Prices a little high for what you eat but it will not disappoint you.

2 cappuccinos took almost 1 hour to make and when it arrived the coffee spilled over on the plate. It looked awful. I was embarrassed that I recommended this place to my friend to meet up.

Great spot to meet a friend, study, pretend to study while eating the amazing almond croissants, reorder a second latte because you drank the first one while pretending to study and now you have to actually study, but need a fresh motivator.

Matcha latte with coconut milk is a star. The cakes (especially carrot cake) are also tasty. Very nice location and view. You can have a bit more space if you sit upstairs.

Totally overpriced or bad service. I ordered a large takeaway cappuccino for €5.10 and expected to get something more than a small cup...big cups are just for latte, I was told. Never again.

Mostly it took so long to just order 1 cup of coffee, and 3 of 5 times I ordered cappuccino with oat milk and they gave me regular milk. Even 1 times the barista act like that I’m lying, while I always see they talk to much and work less pfftttt 🤷🏽‍♂️

Better than expected food and coffee on a gorg location with a meh concept. Great three story coffee and food place — with exceptional food, and very friendly staff. It’s a shame that they don’t do more with the styling and concept of the place I’ve walked past many times and everytime the sheer nothing-burger atmosphere meant I’ve missed out on great coffee and excellent food But maybe this is just a goed bewaard buurt geheim, and I guess that’s cool too

Our favorite place for lunch on the first day every time we go to Amsterdam. The place is warm and cozy. The food is homemade, you can go there with my eyes closed.

It was pleasantly busy and warm/stuffy. I took a seat at the window that said 'Laptop free :)', I looked back and saw 5 tables occupied by workers. Not really points for the atmosphere. Then I would really rather have those people next to each other at the window than occupy 2 of them. I was shocked at the prices for the drinks. €4 for water (I hope a liter bottle of Marie Stella Maris). After waiting ten minutes I continued my path to a faster service.

Waited 25min on our coffee. Instead of serving us/preparing our coffees tables got cleaned, dishes were washed, talks were had. Today be more precise: we ordered two small coffee and the place was pretty empty. So if you have a lot of time and like waiting.. This is your place! Coffee was fine though.

Waited for ages, order was wrong and not enough forks to eat. Well.. order was not corrected and forks Never came. We shared one fork and then waited for ages trying to pay.. ended up going inside to pay but felt like just leaving at a certain point. For this service these prices are not justified. Having tools to eat with is minimum to be asked. Half our Oder never arrived, despite asking several times.

The staff is wonderful here! I’m gluten and dairy free and they made me a GF muesli with coconut milk yogurt, a cappuccino with coconut milk and a coconut milk latte. Yummm! Ingredients were SO fresh and plentiful. The little sprinkle of mint on the meusli was such a nice touch. They even have GF desserts, I haven’t tried those yet but they look delicious and I expect they taste just as good as the other items I had. I highly recommend this charming little place.

The quality is not good enough for what it costs. Almost 20 euros for an avocado toast and a flat white. Not worth it. The flat white was a little sour for my taste. The avocado and salmon toast without further ado, I think if they had toasted the bread a little, it would be better. The establishment is nice. They take a long time to serve you, they ask you if it is for taking in or taking out, if it is for taking in they tell you to sit down and they will take uour order at the table... I have seen a couple get up and leave... so, my recommendation asks at the bar and then they serve it to you at the table, saving time.

We regularly come here for the acai bowl, but our plate of acai was a disappointment. It was very watery and the bananas were sliced ​​so thin you could almost see through them. This is the type of place that’s the soul of a neighborhood. Friends and family come here, people stop by after a workout to socialize, people work on their laptops. Staff is super friendly although sometimes struggling to keep up with how busy it gets. Food is house made, incredibly tasty and has diverse options for everyone(meat, gluten free, dairy, vegan) and the coffee is 10/10 too. Looking for something savory? Get ‘the one with hummus’ or you need to come back for it.

Cozy café with a vintage style. I found it super adorable that they serve glasses of water with a small strawberry. They serve delicious coffee with cookies. The carrot cake has a perfect texture and does not contain nuts. Personally, I love it with nuts, but I understand that this way it can appeal to a wider audience. Young, friendly, and attentive staff.

We were looking forward to visiting this cafe after hearing positive things. Unfortunately what followed was nothing short of disappointing. Upon entering, we were greeted by a sign stating 'please sit down at a table and we will come to serve you'. We followed this command, yet minutes passed and nobody materialised. Multiple staff members blessed us with their direct acknowledgements, but failed to take our simple order of two coffees. As fellow workers in customer service, we recognise how stressful it can get in busy times, however, the cafe was less than half full. Interestingly, one staff member in particular seemed set on approaching other customers repeatedly, particularly ones arriving after us. After waiting for ten minutes, we went up to the counter and asked if we could order so which we got a smiley, though sarcastic, 'yes ofcourse'. I asked if we may too get some tap water, to which the server snapped back abrasively, 'we ALWAYS give water'. Another ten minutes pass and we receive our coffees, yet still no water. When I ask again if we may get some water, we realise how passive aggressive these folks are. When we did eventually get our hands on a few glasses of tap water, the same server had the audacity to snatch it away over our shoulders after we had had a mere few sips from the glass. Besides this, we felt the coffee itself was slightly overpriced for what it was. This wouldn't have been an issue if the service had been remotely warm and welcoming. All in all, there are far better options in this city where you will receive standard or improved levels of service and great quality coffee. I would advise this place is left alone.

A pesar de ser un cliente regular, esperé más de una hora para ser atendido, mientras que los que me rodeaban fueron atendidos con prontitud. El personal reconoció mi presencia varias veces, pero continuó ignorándome. Cuando cortésmente le pregunté a uno de los servidores si podía hacer un pedido, ella respondió sin ninguna disculpa y parecía indiferente a mi situación. Por si fuera poco, cuando finalmente llegó mi té de menta recién hecho, estaba mal preparado con ramas que sobresalían ridículamente (las ramas que sobresalían de la taza eran tan largas como la taza en sí). Este no es el estándar que he llegado a esperar de este lugar. Además, como el café estaba cerrando, me dijeron groseramente que me fuera inmediatamente, a diferencia de otros clientes que no se apresuraron a salir. Esta no es la primera vez que he experimentado un servicio tan pobre aquí, y es realmente decepcionante. Aunque disfruto de la calidad de los pasteles y las bebidas calientes, me iré a otro lugar debido al servicio mediocre de algunos de los servidores. Es una pena ver a los clientes regulares tratados de esta manera.

I am very disappointed with the service I received during my last visit. Despite being a regular customer, I waited over an hour to be served, while those around me were served promptly. The staff acknowledged my presence multiple times but continued to ignore me. When I politely asked one of the servers if I could place an order, she responded without any apology and seemed indifferent to my situation. To make matters worse, when my fresh mint tea finally arrived, it was poorly prepared with branches sticking out ridiculously (the branches that were sticking out of the cup were as long as the cup itself). This is not the standard I have come to expect from this place. Additionally, as the cafe was closing, I was rudely told to leave immediately, unlike other customers who were not rushed out. This is not the first time I have experienced such poor service here, and it is truly disappointing. Although I enjoy the quality of the cakes and the hot drinks, I will be going elsewhere due to the mediocre service of some of the servers. It's a shame to see regular customers treated this way.

This really unreal !! I regular customer almost year , I spend money everyday in this place . There many really good baristas .i got fantastic cappuccino with love . But is not first time I have always discuss with blond girl , cause also other girl who can’t make good coffee. I always ask thick foam and no bubbles in cappuccino. And always ask only with this both girl that please make not so hot coffee . This is simple, pardon I paid money almost every day and many many time not 1 coffee I take . Today again I got hot coffee , and the answer I got is that we'll charge you for not agreeing to take coffee that I don't like. Is that a joke? There's no such thing anywhere, if I ask and note in the conversation what kind of coffee I want, and I get a completely different one, I have to pay 2 times. What kind of attitude? As she said, wait until your coffee cools down. You didn't confuse anything,? I pay my money, and I have to throw away coffee and pay again! Such impudence. I haven't seen it yet !! And if you can't make coffee like other baristas is not my problem . I must be happy if you can’t make good cappuccino? A lot of good people work there , but the team in this day is so unpleasant and definitely this blond girl Which begins to arrie in words. You get your salary because we spend our money in this cafe! And it's impossible to treat a regular customer like that. You not professional coffee maker , If you can't handle steam and control the temperature of the drink, because when you're a professional you understand how to make . If the cappuccino so hot the thick creamy foam will gone . I don pay for coffee with milk , which I can buy everywhere. For me drink coffee is not nothing. Very ambient spot, and popular in the later hours once people wake up. Great location if you need a break from typical Dutch breakfast; both the overnight oats and chia pudding were a treat. Espresso was just fine.

I asked the waitress once, she simply said it was full, no apologies, no nothing. I went to the counter and the lady there said it was being prepared and I should wait as the place was full without really knowing when in the "line" my cortado was. Finally, I asked another waitress to help and this one took almost 10 minutes to finally bring my small cortado. Total lack of profissionalism and minimum politiness. I mean, with some customers, not all. I wonder where the difference was to them. Will not go back for sure.

Super cute coffee the food is just amazing

I’ve got an awful food poisoning yesterday and I am pretty sure it was because of carrot cake I had here because I didn’t eat anything else. Please throw the rest of it away. The cake was standing on the bar without any cover. But anyway except that the place looked nice and staff were friendly.

Salad was spectacular. Plenty of space to work with your laptop. Great wifi. Beautiful view

They have a great selection of coffees and warm drinks - We ordered matcha latte and golden latte and really liked it, along with a slice of carrot cake. The view is great too! Will definitely come back here again

Drinking coffee in a relaxed way

Drawn by nostalgia, I found myself at this charming spot. Loved the atmosphere and comfort. Opting for a cappuccino and a salmon toast with avocado, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both. The cappuccino was perfectly crafted, while the salmon toast boasted fresh ingredients that delighted my palate. A delightful experience all around!
