Beautiful food, excellent service-it was our 25th wedding anniversary and we got an amazing sparkler candle in complementary icecrean, coffee and lemon cello.

The food was delightful! We made a reservation for 8.30pm and sat outside. I ordered the burger whilst my friend had lamb / steak which she cooked herself - lovely experience.

I rarely leave negative reviews. I will start with the positive, which is that the cut of beef I had (tenderloin) was very good. Unfortunately, there were several negatives: * the mixed vegetables were literally frozen vegetables that had been microwaved, with two slices of sautéed onion and one slice of sautéed pepper thrown in. No seasoning. Maybe 1/4 of a bag of frozen carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower you could buy for €2, and they charge €6,50. * the baby potatoes were baked, with essentially no seasoning, no oil, nothing. Just baked. * the gimmick (which I hadn’t realized ahead of time), is that the meat cooks at the table on a hot stone. So if it’s over-cooked, that’s on you. The instructions they give are to cook it 30 seconds on each side. That is not enough to come close to browning the outside of the meat and it will be completely raw. I don’t like overcooked meat, but 30 seconds on a side?? I don’t think you could brown the outside without way overcooking the meat. It pretty much can’t be cooked properly this way. * water cost €6,50. * the old fashioned cocktail (€14), was made with cheap whiskey and overly sweet. * service was very slow and the servers didn’t know what was gluten free or not. * the website claims to have over 75 menu items. I guess they are counting different sizes of the same cuts of meat, mixed and matched with the sauces that cost an extra €2,50 for ~1.5 tablespoons of sauce. When you don’t order the extra sauces, they bring the plates with empty bowls. After this, we definitely did not try dessert. I guess this is what we get for eating in the tourist district. I should have been suspicious when they didn’t have their menu online. Definitely got dubious when I saw paper napkins. I’m amazed at all the positive reviews.

I came here for a solo dinner while traveling for work, and I’m so glad I did. Sometimes eating alone can feel awkward, but the staff made me feel completely at ease. The atmosphere is quiet, laid-back, and perfect for unwinding after a long day. I ordered the house burger with truffle fries and a glass of red wine. Everything was served hot and fresh. The burger was juicy and full of flavor — cooked medium-rare exactly as requested. What impressed me the most was how clean and well-maintained the place was. It’s clear they pay attention to detail, both in food and service.

This was my first visit, and it certainly won’t be the last. The restaurant has a beautiful, relaxing ambiance with soft lighting and cozy seating. The grilled octopus appetizer was the star of the night — tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Our server was friendly and offered great recommendations. Everything felt very thoughtful and well-prepared.

Good food for a good price. The outside seating also provides a nice view of Amsterdam.

One of our favorite meals from our trip to Europe! Highly recommend following the waitresses advice on cooking meats (mine came out medium rare which is perfect for me). Stone stays hot so as i was eating and the meat got a little cooler, I'd throw it back on the stone for a few seconds. Sauces were AMAZING as were the potatoes. We ordered ribs and lamb. Drooling just remembering 😋

Steak with a twist Grill it yourself on a hot stone. Nice atmosphere in the heart of Amsterdam. Completely satisfied, from the starter to the main course and even the dessert. We had made a reservation in advance. Naturally, the prices are on the high side, so it's always advisable to check in advance. We wouldn't rule out another visit.

What can I say, a unique experience, two evenings including the anniversary evening with a pleasant surprise, I highly recommend this place, varied choice of cuts of meat

I was shocked they refused to give you tap water and instead were force (if you wanted water) to pay 6.50 for a bottle. Meanwhile the manager/owner sat in sight and drank tap water. Food was delicious and service was good.

Bad experience, be careful on the bill they try to charge you more than you ordered. It’s really expensive for what it is, you cook yourself they don’t do anything so I don’t get why that. The meat is not even good honestly it’s not worth it + the waiters are unpleasant. Pass your way really

Started with the WAGYU STEAK which was more than delicious. Had a home made sauce next to it which was actually finger licking. The steak couldn’t be even more juicier. I can write a whole book about this meal ever since it was this perfect. We had no room anymore for a dessert but after seeing it pass by the other tables we had to take it. We chose the best dessert. Don’t past it by the WAFFLE DELUXE!! Overall a great experience with great food and service! Best place town!!!!! Prices were very reasonable given the high quality, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

you are not going just to eat there, you will have to buckle up and emerge yourself in this culinary experience. Your stake will ne served on a hot stone plate for you to cook to your liking. on top you can enjoy good selection of wine , all served by experienced lady :) thank you for great service and hospitality

We took a simple fillet, so I can't judge the rest (there were very fine and expensive meats) What we got wasn't bad, a very simple thing, for what it cost maybe it wasn't worth it, but it was still good Absurdly good fries

Very tasty and hot, thanks to the hot stone. The vegetables were a little burnt in places; It was replaced immediately when a complaint was made. The ambience is cool factory style. Everything very clean.

Wir haben dort sehr gut Steak gegessen. Es gibt mehrere Cuts zur Auswahl. Unsere Steaks wurden auf einem heißen Stein serviert und mussten von uns selbst auf die gewünschte Stufe gegart werden. Die Beilagen waren auch sehr gut. Als Nachspeise gab es eine Waffel mit Eis und Nutella. Das Service war auch sehr nett und aufmerksam. Ein gelungener Abend!

Grilling your own steak on a hot stone is fun, but does not produce the best results. I would only recommend this place if you feel like going as an activity, rather than to have dinner.

This place is amazing! From the atmosphere to the food, I could not fault anything. Magda greeted us and was a fabulous hostess but all the staff were very friendly and attentive. I had the steak which I cooked on the stone following Magda’s instructions. BEST STEAK I’VE EVER EATEN! We managed to squeeze in desserts too which were delicious. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It’s not just the food, it’s the whole experience.

The meat here is really good value for money, portions are huge and it’s cooked to what doneness you enjoy. Service is also really nice, staff were very helpful at the table. Had a good time eating here.

8 people went in suspicious and not sure if the price is worth the event. But 8 men went out, strengthened by the high quality meat and smiling all night long.

I had the Wagyu Burger XL. Super tender meat. The best burger I've ever had. Fries were medium but the truffle mayo complemented them perfectly. I would give the burger a 4.8 stars. A little bit of toppings, but top meat.

We visited this great restaurant for the third time last weekend and we will definitely book a table here again on our next short trip to Amsterdam. The carpaccio is the worst I have ever ordered and seemed to have been in the freezer because of the texture of the meat, same with the “grilled” vegetables that obviously were not fresh nor grilled. We were not given a bar menu/wine cart upon arrival and the wine was mid. The servers were fighting among themselves and one of them were very rude. The steak was great, the rest I would stay away from.

This restaurant was fantastic. We arrived early and seated. The staff was attentive and very welcoming. This concept of restaurant is pretty unique to us. The steak comes and you cook it on a lava rock for 2-3 minutes after they slice it whole. The sides were good and the soup had flavor in every spoonful. Definitely will return on our next Amsterdam visit. If you live there, great place for romantic and fun evening.

Ahhhmazing!! From the beginning to the end. Our 14vyear old son really enjoyed the experience of cooking his very own steak for the first time. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. It was our first time at a stone restaurant. They explained it to us and we felt very comfortable cooking our own steaks after. 100% recommend!
