Grillhouse Nàder in Grachtengordel-Zuid

We ate there yesterday (Monday May 5, 2025) and it was perfect. It started with the owner who was a charming and incredibly helpful person, and continued with the high quality and extremely tasty meat, the large portions and the excellent prices. We will definitely return to eat there on our next visit to Amsterdam. Thank you very much for the warm hospitality.❤️

The food was very good. The entrecote (medium) had the perfect cooking time. The fries were also baked just right. Our Angus burgers were very good and high quality. Fast and attentive service. Price performance was very good.

While the service was very nice, the food was lacking. We got the mixed grill for two people, most of the meat was overcooked and dry and arrived cold, especially the red meat. The grilled mushrooms and the chicken were quite nice.

Well done! Excellent raw materials and expertly cooked meat. Boris is a precious stone in context, because he knows how to make you feel at home and pampered. Thank you!

High expectations due to the reviews. But...bread with herb butter: margarine is poorly seasoned and bread would be better warm. Meat: lots of fat edges, so little remains of the 400 grams. Then pricey. Order and pay for side dishes separately. Chimichurri too greasy and lacks spice and acidity. Fries tasty. Knives not sharp enough for cutting meat. We were the only ones and the host was friendly but kept looking at us from a distance, awkward.

We were in the cold and found a lovely cafe to enjoy coffee, relax, and have an appetizer and dessert. The service and ambiance were excellent.

Unfortunately, my experience didn't meet my expectations. The steak selection, specifically the sirloin and ribeye, proved to be underwhelming. More concerning, however, were the side vegetables. They lacked any discernible preparation or attention to detail, appearing as if they were simply steamed without seasoning or creativity. The black pepper sauce, while passable, tasted reminiscent of a pre-made supermarket variety. I hoped for a more authentic and carefully prepared meal."

Excellent service, really liked it

I’m not too sure if this is a hidden gem but my partner and I had an amazing experience. We were greeted by our lovely server and we were very happy with the hospitality he provided. Steak was delicious, and at a fair price of 30 euros each (including drinks). Being the only customers that night was shocking! Definitely worth coming and trying this place out :)

Food was spectacular. Even though it was busy Valentine’s day and we had no reservation, the frontmen was giving us his best service to make sure everything met the expectations. Such a great host! Food was made to perfection, we had mixed grill for two, it was very well made. One of the best dinner we’ve had in Amsterdam. We will send our friends and family there!

The quality of the food is top notch, with fresh ingredients and spectacular flavor. Everything was delicious and well presented. The atmosphere is very cozy, but what really makes the difference is the attention of the staff, especially the owner, who is very kind and friendly. He has made us feel at home. My wife and I have been completely satisfied and, without a doubt, we recommend it 100%. We will return without a doubt. Thank you for an unforgettable meal!

We had the chance to eat as tourists in this wonderful restaurant in recent days. But before we talk about the beauty of the food, thank you dear Boris. He was very kind and friendly with us, he also gave us a gift of sangria, and the conversation was very enjoyable, we will not forget him. As for the restaurant, it is a warm, small place with a central location. We were also very pleased with the food, the meat was fresh and cooked well, and fries were very great.

Sometimes it happens that you wonder how high ratings are achieved for restaurants. Unfortunately, this also applies to the Grillhouse Nader. Our visit in January 2025 was a sad experience in all respects... despite the friendliness of the host.

I can’t understand why here is so rated ?! We had rib eye and sirloin steak, nothing was special and that they don’t bring anything before the courses. Only housewine was fine, but it doesn’t worth tp go only for this..

The man taking the order is in an unnecessary nervous state, I don't understand why, he doesn't seem friendly and is rude. The food is average, nothing to brag about.

Went here for a nice date with my wife and we were blown away by the hospitality and kindness of the owner, Boris. It was a lovely experience overall. The food tasted deliciously, steaks cooked to perfect. The sauce complimented the meat well. And the deserts, especially the baklava, were scrumptious. I would highly recommend this place. The atmosphere had a cozy, quaint aura and it wasn't overrun by a noisy crowd. This is a great spot for a romantic setting/dinner.

They serve the best steak I ever had. The steaks were juicy, tender and flavourful. We also ordered the Goulash Soup which full of the smell of beef while the beef is tender. The old waiter said Goulash is the best way to find out how good a steak house is. We had Mixed Grill with fries and salad , also add on Mushroom sauce and Pepper sauce. I have to say the Pepper sauce is a must-have, buttery , sweet and peppery but not spicy hot. The host is helpful and friendly.

A little gem in Amsterdam where, as written in other reviews, the place reflects the owner, a truly kind, helpful, friendly person who really shows that he cares about the customer. We ate a fillet and a rib-eye with vegetables, both delicious, accompanied by the (Italian) red wine that he himself selected to offer a truly quality experience. Absolutely 5 stars.

Boris has been a great host to us. We came as a family of 7 and was amazingly welcomed with perfect mixed grill, red wine and children are well catered for. We would love to return to this steak house. Best steak house in Amsterdam.

This is a restaurant with a friendly owner and a warm atmosphere. The food was so disappointing that I couldn't understand the rating. It seemed like the steak was pre-cooked and reheated upon ordering. I ordered medium, but it was cold on the inside, and there were grill marks, so it looked like it had been pan-cooked and then reheated in the microwave. This was a restaurant where I learned to check the lowest Google rating.

This mom-and-pop restaurant has a lot of heart, but I wouldn't quite call it a steakhouse by my standards. While the staff were inviting, the steak itself was a bit disappointing. Even though I ordered it medium rare, the meat came out tough and lacked the tenderness I was hoping for. It's a good spot for a casual lunch, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a special occasion or if you're looking for top-quality steak.

Food was really tasty, with vegetarian options and good price. The service by Boris was absolute fantastic! He was super friendly to us even though we came with a loud 2 yo toddler. He was patience, nice, and even gave us complementary coffee and an apple juice and candies for our son. We really recommend this place!!!

My partner and I were in the mood for steak, and the ribeye here hit the spot...tender and delicious. The house red (wine) did not disappoint either...very smooth. It's a small restaurant with no more than 10 tables and on that evening the owner was the only server. We made a reservation in advance which was helpful as at least 3 parties were turned away after we were seated.

The steak was tender and juicy, the fries were crispy but not greasy, and the beef stew was very rich!
