Shocking service, terrible food, and an incredibly aggressive owner. Avoid! ​My wife and I had the misfortune of dining here and it was easily the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. ​Before walking in, we asked some people sitting outside if the food was good. They said it was "okay." Unbeknownst to us, the owner was standing right there. He walked over, seated us, and said in a deadpan, aggressive tone: "If you have to ask, you can go elsewhere." I waited for a laugh or a smile to show he was joking. It never came. We should have walked out right then. ​I ordered the steak mixed skewers, and my wife ordered the Ribeye. My meal arrived cold and wasn’t even what I had ordered. My wife’s Ribeye was an absolute joke—it was easily 80% pure fat and gristle, completely inedible. See the below photo. ​When we raised the issue, the owner (who made a point of letting us know he is Egyptian fpr some reason) decided to give my wife a patronizing "lesson" on steaks to prove her wrong. ​Given his unbelievable attitude, I flatly refused to pay for my wife's inedible meal. He immediately lost his temper, threatened to call the police, and told me to "inappropriately leave" The families at the two tables next to us were watching the entire meltdown in absolute disbelief and told the owner he's unreasonable and not professional. ​In the end, I put down cash to pay for half the bill and walked out. On the way out, he yelled that we were no longer welcome back—as if we’d ever dream of setting foot in this place again. ​Do yourself a massive favor and steer completely clear of this place.

Don't believe the Google reviews; the owner gives a discount for a 5-star review. Paid €40 per steak, they recommend medium: at that point, you should basically walk away anyway. The mayonnaise was old and dark yellow. The steak was so tough that the plate spun around on the table while cutting it.

The place is located in one of the side streets. From the outside it looks like an ordinary restaurant in the area. There is no garden, but by far the best steak I have had in Amsterdam. On our Amsterdam trip, we stopped at Grillhouse Nader in the afternoon. My wife ordered a steak, and I ordered a burger. The waiter, an older gentleman, was attentive and friendly, and we mainly spoke English. This made it easy to communicate. We didn't have to wait very long. My wife's steak wasn't quite cooked through, but it was still okay. My burger, on the other hand, was very good. The portions were generous, and we certainly left satisfied. Unfortunately, the restaurant itself seemed rather dark and dated, but otherwise, everything was fine.

The elderly gentleman who served us was incredibly kind and friendly. The steak was delicious, and the fries were a little soggy but still perfectly cooked. Great value for money!

Fantastic little place, tucked away from the busy streets. We decided to go there on a whim, because we liked the quiet atmosphere, and it was a great choice. The steaks were cooked as requested, which was perfect, the sides were plenty, and the service was irreproachable. Definitely a place to come back to again!

The steak wasn’t wow, and it wasnt medium rare as i requested, rather more medium. The owner or the employee was very welcoming and explaining how he moved to Netherlands. The salad though was very tasty due to the nice dressing.

A South American steakhouse located in downtown Amsterdam. It is situated near the Van Gogh Museum, so it is easily accessible, and the food is decent. However, please note that they need some time to prepare the dishes, so be sure to allow ample time when you visit.

What an absolutely amazing find! The wee restuarants away from the tourist squares are the best places to be amd this was one of the best finds. We are a Scottish couple and really wanted a steak and this came top in the searches. We went about 5pm as we were hungry and it was quiet. I had a rib eye that was cooked to perfection and it cane with a salad and chips. My partner had the sirloin which was also cooked exactly to his liking. We very much enjoyed our wine and beer. The gentleman that sat us down (possibly the owner) was very friendly but not intrusive. He was absolutely lovely to chat away too. Our bill was roughly 74 euros for the two steaks (included fries and salad), two sauces, 2 beers and a glass of house red. If you want a steak stay away from the squares and tourist spots and come here. Although it was quiet the food speaks for itself.

I ordered ribeye steak and soup. First of all, the service was very bad; the soup took about 40 minutes to arrive, and the ribeye steak took about an hour. In terms of taste, the ribeye steak was very fatty and unsalted. The soup was average. I came based on the reviews and I regret it.

Had a delicious meal on Friday the 13th... a nice 300g steak. Simple but really super tasty with a mushroom sauce... boom, just a piece of meat on your plate, no frills with a few lettuce leaves or anything, but just a nice, good, tasty piece of steak without any bacon bits or muscle in it... The host was really so kind, sociable, and fun. We were one of the few there, actually three couples of friends who were tourists, and he honestly gave us good, sweet attention. The owner actually came all the way from Almelo, every day from Almelo to Amsterdam by train... pppff... really respect, you know...

Excellent service from Boris (Bahe), a cozy atmosphere, and fair prices. Since we were quite hungry, we ordered the mixed grill platter as our main course (salad and fries included) and baklava and apple pie (with two coffees for dessert). Everything was delicious. Went in as a party of 3 and ordered three steaks in two orders and the proprietor refused to give me a dinner plate when the food arrived. It then became more unpleasant when he asked me where I was from - a very unsavoury character. To top it off the food was bad.
