We had an excellent meal. Our Steak was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. Shared a dessert involving pistachio & ice cream (can’t remember the name). Totally recommend.

From the outside, it's rather unassuming, but as soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a lovely and cozy atmosphere. The steak dishes are truly outstanding – perfectly prepared, delicious, and of the highest quality. Add to that the excellent and attentive service, which makes the visit absolutely perfect. Welcoming place, friendly and helpful staff. Prices are a bit high, but justified by the high quality of the meat, so much so that we returned the next evening. Highly recommended. Special thanks to Mr. Antonio for helping us choose dishes and always being available for any needs.

5 stars because the food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and attentive to intolerances. We were on a family vacation with a daughter who has celiac disease and an egg allergy, and the entire service was tailored to her specific needs. I highly recommend it if you're coming to Amsterdam!

The meats were cooked to a high standard and tasted excellent. It's a must-try place, you won't regret it. Go hungry, order your favorite type of meat and enjoy the flavor!

Stopped in here just after we arrived (No reservation). Luckily they had room. Would have loved to have one of the dry-aged steaks but we weren't hungry enough to justify it. Had the house burger and was not disappointed. Nice place, fair prices and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Food was great! We were served by Maria, which contributed to us having an amazing time here. Also having shots with the waiters made our evening. The only thing that could be better was the music that was kinda low in volume which caused us to hear the music kind of on the background instead of vibing to it more.

In short; An absolute top-notch place! We were a little on the late side, but despite the crowds, that wasn't a problem at all. Super friendly staff. The menu is well put together and the food was on the table lightning fast. The meat is perfectly prepared, exactly what you expect. The atmosphere is casual, but you can feel the quality in everything. From the heavy knives and forks to the drinks, it just works. No unnecessary fuss, just rock-solid organization. Keep up the good work guys, keep it up.

Had a fantastic meal at Mr Meat. We ordered the tartare and the tomahawk, both were excellent. The tomahawk was especially impressive and great for two people. A special mention to our server, Siddique, who was very nice, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Great Service and espacially the food

On Friday, I visited this restaurant for the second time. The first time was decent. Then the question is always whether it is a coincidence, so you want to give a restaurant a second chance to see if they are capable of delivering quality. The answer is: No! Based on tonight, I do not have the feeling that they are capable of delivering good quality and service. In fact, it was downright bad! The steak tartare was mediocre; it actually had flavor. The bread they served beforehand and with the tartare was rock-hard and stale. For a restaurant like this with such prices, you really should expect fresh bread. That seems like the bare minimum! I would not recommend anyone order that steak tartare. A waste of money! Then came the main course. When ordering, I chose a T-bone steak, cooked medium-rare. When the main course was served, and after a few pieces, it was clear that the steak was not cooked correctly. I then pointed this out to the waitress, who looked at a cut piece of the meat and said that it was indeed medium-rare. She went to double-check with her colleague. He came to take a look too. And he defended the kitchen, claiming it was medium-rare. Then he started a discussion with me about it, to Google a picture of medium-rare on his phone. He picked out a photo that naturally matched the picture nicely to convince me. Even though it was clearly visible that the photo and the meat on the plate did not match. The meat was more medium-well than medium-rare. He also refused to offer a new steak, because he felt he was right. Which is totally ridiculous! The worst way to treat your guests, and essentially you are saying: your feedback doesn't matter! It gets even more interesting! At that point, I decided to eat it reluctantly. Of course, you don't pass up a €52 steak. It certainly wasn't tasty, because I don't eat my steak medium-well. The way a steak is cooked is a determining factor in the taste of the meat. Then the waitress came to clear the table and offered her apologies. She said sorry several times. She admitted that the steak was mostly medium-well. Her male colleague had admitted that to her. To which she offered her apologies. You are left speechless. While that colleague was insisting to me that it was medium-rare, he tells his colleague that it actually was medium/well. So they are trying to fool guests by making money this way. Truly pathetic! Bad service, they don't take guests' feedback seriously! They admit behind your back that you are right, but you don't get a new steak, even though the cook ruined the steak. Just to be clear, this place advises guests not to eat steaks well-done, but they themselves have no knowledge of how a steak is cooked. I had hoped this was a good steakhouse, but I was clearly mistaken; poor quality and poor service! And they are pricey, yet unable to deliver good quality and service. Unbelievably bad!

Had a wonderful experience at Mr Meat Steakhouse. The manager was attentive and accommodating. We ordered the ribeye, New York strip, and T‑bone — all excellent, with the ribeye standing out for its flavour and tenderness.If you’re craving quality steak, this is a great choice. Reservations are recommended.

We booked here because our first choice was actually closed (strange for a Saturday in Amsterdam). I was a little sceptical, the name of the restaurant wasn’t exactly selling this as a top-end steakhouse 🤣, but the reviews certainly were. The dining area is nice, and I think the place used to be an old bank and they’ve kept some of the features which is cool. The restaurant was full, but the atmosphere was a little subdued. However the staff were very attentive and polite - I couldn’t fault them. The steak was excellent, great quality meat and cooked perfectly which you’d expect but not always the case! The sides were ok, nothing mind blowing, but the meat really hit the spot. I would certainly recommend here to anyone who enjoys a well cooked steak and a nice bottle of red. Cheers.

Overall, it was a lovely and wonderful experience. We had the mushroom appetizer, which was very delicious and I highly recommend it. The steaks were lokum and tenderloin, each one more delicious than the other. A beautiful restaurant and well worth a visit.

Excellent service and delicious food.

We dined in Mr Meat as a family of 5 whilst on Holiday in Amsterdam and it was absolutely wonderful. 3 of us ordered Ribeye steaks all asking for them to be done in different ways and when they were brought to us they were exactly how we asked which is a sign of a quality restaurant. 2 others orders the boneless chicken and again said it was perfectly cooked. This is honestly one of the best restaurants I have ate in and you will not be disappointed with your meal.

Mr Meat has one of the best ribeye steaks I have ever eaten. It comes so flavorful. They use no sauces to cook the steaks. I also highly recommend the fried okra. It is really unusual and flavorful

Everything was delicious! We ordered the carpaccio, rib-eye, and sirloin, and everything was perfectly prepared. The quality of the meat was excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive. You might pay a little more, but you absolutely get quality in return. Highly recommended; we would love to come back again!

We didn't have a reservation when we went, but the waiter Julian was very helpful. Many people inside were drinking alcohol. I chose this place because it serves halal meat and the owners are Turkish. However, the strong smell of alcohol prevented me from eating inside. I wish there was an alcohol-free area. The chefs are Turkish, but none of the waiters are. Despite everything, we were allowed to eat outside. Even though we were on the street, we were satisfied, and the taste was a great blessing in Amsterdam, where halal options are limited. Hopefully, they will improve the facilities and provide more opportunities for those who are sensitive to this issue.

The first impression is good. It was my first time here and they could find me a table without reservation. The waiters were friendly and helpful. I was able to order fairly fast. But, the food arrived earlier than the wine and I couldn't taste the wine, it was just poured out. I ate filet mignot. I expected one piece but there wrre 4 thin pieces. The meet was tasty but only one piece was medium rare, the rest was more like medium well. Anyways, it was a good experience.

The lamb chops were excellent, the spare ribs were a huge portion, we liked them a little less. But, that's a matter of personal taste and habit. The atmosphere and service are excellent. The price is fair. Siddique served us with kindness, politeness and attention. This added to the pleasant atmosphere.

Fantastic food! Good service, arrived at about 8pm on a Saturday night, was directed to the bar because the restaurant was full. Very friendly and helpful waiter at the bar who took the time to explain the different dishes we were choosing. After a short while we were able to sit at a free table.

My friends and I happened upon this restaurant and dined there two nights in a row, so much so that we loved it. The meat was excellent. The service was top-notch, with Antonio pampering us and serving us with extreme kindness and patience. Thank you for your time.

All the waiters were clueless. We arrived at a time when there was practically no one there, 6 pm, and it took them 50 minutes to bring us a strip loin that came out medium and a ribeye that came out well done. When I asked the waiter how much longer I had to wait, they told me that since my friend ordered the ribeye well done, it was going to take longer. He didn’t even apologize, he came up with a cheap excuse. Not only that, but during those 50 minutes we watched customers who arrived after us get seated and served their food before us, even though we got there first. And on top of all that, they gave a free dessert to the people who arrived after us — probably because the manager said “give those two a dessert, we messed up with them,” and the waiter brought it to the table next to us instead and told them “it’s on the house.” Completely clueless.
