We've had a fantastic 3 course dinner for five people. Staff was super attending and we got a lot of recommendations regarding the main courses. Their dry aged T-Bone was phenomenal and perfectly prepared. Meat was soft and well seasoned. The fries and especially the sauce that came with the fries was superb. Such a nice balance between flavors. Overall I would definetily come back to this place to try out the rest of the main courses which all looked appetizing to me. Tables have enough space between them so you get this nice private little atmosphere at your table. Also big plus to the the dry aged cabin and the display of the meat. It looks very appetizing, especially if you're out to taste some nice meat/steak dishes.

Best dish we had was the tomato salad and dessert Katmer. We came here based on reviews. Cocktails were good. But not the ones on the menu card they were all out. Only special ones. We wanted to order spare ribs at 5:30 but they were out already. With no one in the restaurant and we the first guests. Filet mignon is not what you expect a filet mignon to be if you are used to American standards. The filet mignon is sliced in pieces and then grilled. It is not being grilled in one piece. Tomahawk steak was OK. Carpaccio was very good, tomato salad was best. Parmesan truffle fries OK Malbec was good and good temperature. Don’t expect the ambience of an American steakhouse. Katmer dessert was spectacular. Warm with melting ich cream. Overall salt and pepper missing. We used what was on the table 🙂 Worth the money? Mostly Would recommend? Yes Come again? Maybe

We booked reservations for Christmas (12/25) night, they had our table ready with a high chair for our 6 month old upon walking in. We ordered shrimp that was delicious. The Lamb loin for 2 to share, was fantastic. We had our baby loved the fries. Definitely worth it for the experience, the food, and the service was great.

We came across this restaurant by chance. Even though it was full and we didn't have a reservation (Saturday evening), the staff still tried to give us a table for 1 hour. We had carpaccio as a starter and a burger and steak as our main course. The food was very tasty and fresh, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The empty plates were immediately cleared away and the table was immediately set for the next course. The one hour was completely sufficient as the food was prepared quickly. The ambience is also very nice and the price is top notch for a steakhouse. I can recommend this restaurant 100% and we will definitely eat here again on our next visit.

The meat is normal, the embarrassing thing not for me but for them was when we spoke in Italian to a waiter the guy who seats you made fun of us 😅I was embarrassed for him around! I will never go back there again 👎

It’s was nice experience with Mr. Meat Steakhouse. We make reservations arrive early 20 min our table was ready, we got a nice table, and team was very friendly and helpful on the beginning. But one things, they put our order on HOLD (I don’t know why) and then we was waiting one hour to get our order after 2 times asking team about. Also, we order aged beef but received a fresh one. But anyway the food was nice 👌🏻☺️

What a mockery. NY strip taken; 'weird'. When my meat arrived I noticed on the second bite that the meat was still cold. When reporting this, it was said: but you had ordered 'weird', right? Piece of meat you go back. The same piece was then seared on all sides and returned medium-well done. Special, for these prices (and that it is a real meat restaurant) you expect something different. The table next to us was offered drinks on the house and a limoncello, because the piece of meat they ordered was no longer in stock. We didn't even get an apology. Cocktails are okay, but mediocre in quantity. Too much money spent on a bad meal.

Host Stefan was a really great guy! He really made the evening complete. People like him deserve to be upgraded to the manager position. He knows the customers well and certainly knows how to keep them satisfied! A quick chat and certainly a good conversation starter. The manager who was present did not seem friendly. We had ordered coffee, which arrived later than expected. Apparently they needed the table and there was indirect indirect pressure from the manager to make room for the new guests. This way you feel reluctant to sit any longer and this is of course not a nice way to end the evening. Once again all compliments to Stefan, he deserves the very best!!

The staff were very helpful and kind, the food was great and tasty (I think the portions are a bit bigger than expected too) The menu had some Turkish style grill options and names, such as Lokum or Citir or Ayva etc. It was a nice place :)

Smooth service, tasty! Very atmospheric

The service was very unfriendly and kept staring at our plates even though the restaurant was practically empty. You had the feeling that you weren't wanted and that was confirmed when the bill arrived with the empty plate. I haven't experienced such bad service in a long time!

Christmas Dinner at Mr Meat Not great. Drinks were rushed and dropped ok the table, food was fine but nothing special, and service was just okay. There are better options for steak in Amsterdam

The service was top notch The steak was good, but on the fatty side...so little meat and a lot of fat that is meant for frying... In addition, 2 tablespoons of vegetables and a snack bowl of fries in sunflower oil have been fried and have not been drained, so they are greasy.. a bowl of truffle mayonnaise in the bowl and the result is that the hot fries have caused the sauce to curdle... so it is better to serve them separately... Carpaccio a small plate for the price of a normal portion... the meat which is not red has brownish edges so it went too long without covering... The chefs were understaffed for a double occupancy so therefore a long waiting time of 40 minutes .of the main course.whatever time the alarm goes off...exactly 2 hours of eating and you are sent away by the manager and you are no longer allowed to order dessert even though there is a birthday boy sitting at the table... I also did not receive an email for confirmation and the apology was that they were busy... Unfortunately...with 7 people we paid a fair amount...dead plants hang around for no atmosphere and it looks pathetic and that also reflects on the good service and chefs... Tip for the owner and managers... Do more about the environment and the friendliness and hospitality... this will hinder success.. There are more good steak restaurants and guests who have patience should be cherished... the parking costs are also 30 euros so be careful with guests who are willing to pay for it... With culinary greetings

WOW! What class this restaurant has! The staff was really friendly and came to help us choose wines, recommend wine and just have a nice chat. It's great how you can see how the kitchen prepares everything and the meat completes the picture because it is legendarily tasty! For meat lovers, this is a restaurant you don't want to miss! The luxury does come with a price tag, but it is definitely worth the money.

Food was good.Prices were reasonable. I like it. The Place was crowded that was the reason service was very poor. I found the place worn and torn they are supposed to renevete the place. Maybe not all the place but at least they are supposed to renevete welcoming area. Also kitchen was not clean as much as I expected. Thanks alot

Mr Meat is not a Gay Bar or BDSM event. It happens to be considered The Best Steak House in Amsterdam and although I haven’t had the steak yet I cannot wait to indulge. This Establishment is Excellence Personified. Friendly Attentive Staff with Just enough Ambience To feel Relaxed. Whether Business Dining or Personal Comfortably is the key. Now let’s talk about the Ribs…as I have left my Mainstay to Branch out I am pleasantly surprised To find an option more ‘Suited’ to my tastes. The Rack I Received was plentiful crispy Tender hot and off The Grill. Usually I Am not a ‘sauce’ person But they could have had a bit more sauce. With that said I was not Disappointed. The very Opposite as the Fries Accompanied were well Seasoned with a hint of I believe rosemary. I never picked up the Pepper or Salt grinder Provided table side. The other side was a Creamy Spinach. Now I’m not Popeye and Spinach can be bitter. And I must say that this Particular dish I know Very Well with an Absolute fave at a restaurant Far Far Away. This Creamy Spinach lacked That hint of garlic with an almost Béchamel Sauce accompaniment. It’s the perfect combo. So unfortunately this Creamy Spinach missed That certain Something. Bland and Boring. Never Fear their Wine List is a sommelier’s Dream. There was a Cuvée i had in Aruba That Blew My Mind and then there is the South African Cuvée Featured and it was Stunning. Fresh Yet Full Bodied and Refreshing. Yes I know how could a white have a ‘body’ at all? That’s the cuvée Difference. Now…should I have to Pack my leftovers? No worries I’m not That bothered by The Small Details. )

I have been several times, One of the few restaurants with quality meat in Amsterdam. Very tender meat. Staff helpful and kind, sometimes too much so. Prices a little high but considering the place, the city and above all the meat, I'd say it's okay. Experience to try, I really recommend it

I ordered T-Bone and wonder it is T-Bone. I couldn't swallow meet and spat it out since meat was so tough. Everything was okay beer, wine, fries except beef. It was so amazing to have steak like this taste in Europe. Hope that I made a mistake ordering a T-bone!

Not as good as rated on Google. Meat was not tender. French Fries and Spinach not good at all. Drink arrived late together with the Steak. Location is nice.

We said we couldn't come to Amsterdam and not eat meat, so we chose this place based on its scores on Google, and we definitely did the right thing. First we wanted rib eye and then spare pork ribs. The meat was cooked perfectly and we accompanied it with a nice merlot red wine. It was quite filling for two people. The taste of the meat and the cooking consistency were all great. Of course, we didn't forget the potatoes with truffle mayonnaise

Worst steak restaurant I have ever visited. I have visited many steak restaurants and this is by far the worst. Ordered the tomahawk steak to Share, ordered the steak medium, it turned up blue/rare at most. I prefer my steak rare so this wasn’t an issue for me, the issue Was the quality of the meat. The end 3rds of the steak was inedible As they was just fat, the middle of the steak Was so chewy me or my partner couldn’t finish a single slice. The reviews for this place must be fake as the steak we received for £100 was embarrassing, no seasoning, chewy, 80% fat. The steak was also only seared on one side so the top half of the steak was seared and the bottom half was basically raw meat. The fries were good and the best part of the meal, the spinach they give you is just an unseasoned watery mess. Just boiled spinach slopped onto a plate. The waiter didn’t give us chance to bring any of this up as he just come and collected the plate with a full tomahawk steak on without even asking us if everything was ok. Clearly if there is a full steak not even touched you would ask how the food is, nobody come over the whole time we was there. I have never once sent food back in A restaurant, I would have here if anyone bothered asking how our meal Was. I hope this reviews stops you spending your hard earned money on this place. Instead we paid and left with a bitter taste in our mouth.

We were late to our reservation and the man who greeted us didn't sit us down or give us menus, it took 20 minutes for us to finally get our menus, the workers didn't do much, 6 waiters and no one was doing anything. They could work on their productivity.

It is useful to make a reservation in advance. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff was very helpful. We tried lamb chops and ribeye steak, the meats were incredibly delicious.

I've visited Mr Meat multiple times in the past, but for the first time I sent a dry aged T-Bone back. That was however not well received at all at the management disputed, involving the cooks and held a lengthy speach nobody was interested in. When the time came to pay, I refused to pay the full prize as I was not happy with either the quality or the service recived. The restaurant however proceeded with threatening to call the police. After much dismay I was deducted 7 euros, and have of course requested a full refund from my credit provider. I will unfortunately never visit again.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough! If you like steak, this is the place to go! Beautiful tender beef. The staff were exceptional and friendly. In particular Daniel and Stephan took time to chat to us and didn’t rush us out the door at closing time. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Get in here,what an experience, loved it

Had a bite here on Sunday evening. We thought we would be smart and start with a steak tartare and some grilled vegetables. That party was canceled: both disappeared from the menu because 'it was quite busy on Saturday'. A steak restaurant without steak tartare and no more vegetables? You have to let that sink in! In the end I had a carpaccio and caprese salad as a starter – both fine, but if you have been preparing for steak tartare all day, you will be left disappointed. Then the main course. We wondered what was actually there. Apparently the meat was partly Dutch and partly from Uruguay, but no one really seemed to notice it. We were told at least five times that everything was 'fresh'. Well, then I tried the dry aged porterhouse. Have to say: it was perfect. Only that warmed up spinach à la crème on the side – let's just say it added little to the experience.

Geweldig restaurant. Wij kwamen naar Amsterdam voor de verjaardag mijn onze zon die 18 werd. Hij wilde graag dry aged vlees, tafel aan een ANDERE RESTAURANT gereserveerd. Daar aangekomen hadden ze “ vanavond” geen dry aged meat ( blijkt vaak zo te zijn). Teleurgesteld, belande wij (pas na 21:45 hadden ze een tafel vrij, goed teken dus) bij Mr Meat. Aardige en kundige bedinning, sfeervolle ruimte, geweldige dry aged vlees! En ook vegetarische opties ( voor mij als enige vegetarische aan tafel). Echt één aanrader !!! Hier komen we zeker terug! Bedankt!!!

Once we entered we were greeted by a friendly staff. Although the restaurant was fully booked the staff still found a way to get us seated. I had the 300gr filet mignon with a coke. My order came out in under 15 minutes and was cooked to perfection. I couldn’t of asked for a better experience. Now I’ve been to a lot of steakhouse across the globe… but this one blows them all out of the water. From the service to the food and atmosphere it was Michelin Star quality!!

This fine establishment was absolutely breath taking. From the Costumer service to the food and even the drinks. The finest meats in Europe. Even when booked up they will find you space. Me and my boi sat on the couch quite comfortable. I received my order in 15 mins and the food was top notch. New favorite steakhouse spot. I would go out my way to come back here. And i just loved the mood they set candles and they even dimmed the lights. A very fine establish indeed 😤

Good atmosphere and a decent selection of typical American steakhouse food. Unfortunately for our dining experience our steak was seriously undercooked when asked for Medium-Rare. Additionally the meat was a little tougher than what we were used to for a Ribeye. To make everything slightly worse, their credit card machine was broken and issues persisted. The host was sympathetic, however for the money spent, I would have highly preferred to find a different spot with more authentic Dutch food.

The food was truly amazing! However, the service left much to be desired. We received a warm welcome upon arrival but then waited at least 15 minutes before being attended to. Once we managed to place our order, we learned that every meal included fries. However, after receiving the bill, we discovered that adding a sprinkle of parmesan on the fries cost an outrageous €4.50 per portion, which seems excessive even for Amsterdam. After finishing our meal, we felt pressured to leave even though we were still enjoying our drinks. When I stepped away to use the bathroom, my glass was taken before I had finished. Overall, while the food was great, the service significantly detracted from the experience.

They refused to give us a table on the pretext that they don't have any available and we haven't made a reservation. The clear reason was that they did not want to serve us because we had small children in our group. We left the shop, made an online reservation and went back inside. We sat for 2 hours and the restaurant was never full!!!! The person in charge who insisted that unfortunately there was no table, showed great displeasure that we were finally seated. Simply unacceptable!!!! Racist behavior since we were foreigners and their catchphrase here is Amsterdam! Shut up, I thought I was London!!! Shame on you!

Epic place for a steak dinner. Service was outstanding, we were offered advice on both food and wine, which was nothing short of excellent. And so was the food; excellent! We were a party of nine people, nine people who all enjoyed the evening at full!! Thank you for a great evening!

You don't wait and you taste good meat

After a long day of travel it was great to sit down to a great meal. Ivan and the host made us feel welcome and the food was exceptional. It takes an expert to make a rare steak properly and this was perfect.
