Worse place I’ve visited! Arrogant and rude staff who verbally abused me in front of two babies! Due to them making my food order wrong and a burger meal to very low quality! Absolutely shocking behaviour! Tried demanding we pay three meals we left due to being incorrect and also lied the beef was tender and falls apart and not chewy so we bought two for babies and it was disgustingly chewy ! The staff was using folks we had in my mouth! To test the food and said it’s edible! Who was he dictate what my babies would eat when Infact it was a chocking hazard and how vile to use the same folk and eat off it! Dirty! Horrible man he was! Few staff was nice but this manager was awful! Drinks also expensive !! Well over priced place! Years ago was a great place! Came to Amsterdam specifically for partners birthday to come this place and it was a disgrace ! We went to a lovely Italian further down and it was outstanding! Avoid this place! They care more for robbing you blind with their extortionate prices for scraps than actually providing a service of any standard!! Completely ruined the birthday and wasted thousands to come here specifically and the guy was argumentative rude and damn right horrible! Can’t imagine how he would treat a woman behind close doors when he can treat me this way and in front of two babies! Don’t take children for safeguarding! Completely unacceptable our experience!!!

What a fantastic experience! The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with recommendations and any questions we had. They made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the entire evening. We tried both the Tomahawk and the Dry Aged Porterhouse. The Tomahawk was excellent—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and served beautifully. However, the real star of the night was the Dry Aged Porterhouse. It was absolutely outstanding: rich, tender, packed with flavor, and easily one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. If you're a steak lover, this place is definitely worth a visit. Great food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. We will definitely be back!

I have visited Mr Meats on previous trips to Amsterdam and have recommended it to friends and family because of the excellent food and service we received in the past. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about our most recent visit. While the food remained good, the service was a complete contrast to what we had previously experienced. The staff came across as unprofessional and, at times, judgmental. We found ourselves repeatedly trying to get their attention, only to be ignored, and it was uncomfortable to see staff sniggering amongst themselves in what felt like a very cliquey manner. This was especially disappointing given our positive history with the restaurant. The quality of the food and overall atmosphere still reflect the high standards I had come to expect, but the behaviour of the staff did not. It was a significant departure from the professionalism that had previously made me recommend Mr Meats so highly. As a result of this experience, I will no longer be returning to the restaurant, nor will I continue recommending it to friends, family, or others visiting Amsterdam. To future tourists considering a visit, I would advise exercising caution, as the level of service we received fell far short of the standards this restaurant once seemed to uphold.

Nice place with tender meat. I had the spareribs myself; they fall off the bone well, but not very meat for the price. Good quality but lower quantity.

We walked in, the team managed to provide us a table even with the full house and it was one of the most delicious meals we had. The food was outstanding, fresh and the flavors were amazing, a wonderful meat. Service was also excellent. We will certainly came back - with a reservation next time.

We visited as a couple for dinner and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Our waitress was warm, attentive, and impressively efficient throughout the meal. To start, the tartare was a pleasant opener, and the prawns were simply excellent. For mains, we ordered the T-bone cooked medium-rare - it arrived exactly as requested and was outstanding. The spare ribs were a delightful surprise, genuinely impressive and full of flavor. We paired the meal with a lovely Malbec that complemented the meat beautifully. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the entire team was gracious and welcoming. Highly recommended - a great all-round experience.

We’ve been to this place for dinner as a group of 12. We all ordered different kinds of steaks with different cooking grades. Even though they were very delicious, the cooking grades didnot meet our expectations. I ordered a medium filet mignon bu ended with a welldone one. Servis was not bad. As for the atmosphere all the smell in the kitchen ends up in the dining hall.

Incredible meat, perfect corn, I am in love with Dry-Aged Ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, flavorful, and beautifully seared. Beyond the incredible food, their cocktail game is strong. They serve beautifully crafted, balanced drinks that pair wonderfully with the rich steaks.

The portion of the warm smoked beef is really sad. See photo. It was very tasty though! The okra as a starter was also top-notch! The service is friendly and helpful. The Katmer dessert was also tasty! My lamb wasn't as tender as I had expected. But next time I will come back to try the ribeye. Downside: the cheap bake-off bread. A real shame..

Super delicious food, from main course to dessert, top service, accidentally spilled something on my pants, dry cleaning is covered, and a free dessert on the house. In a word, everything was great.

Very spacious location, with excellent acoustics and a very welcoming atmosphere. Located a bit outside the usual city center, perhaps another feature that makes it a top-notch restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner at Mr.Meat Steakhouse!! Antonio was outstanding and advised us extremely well on the wine selection. We started with the steak tartare, which was absolutely delicious. As a main, we shared a T-Bone Steak a superb 450g cut of aged meat, incredibly tender and full of flavour. We finished with the Katmar dessert, a delightful filo pastry served with pistachio ice cream. Truly top-notch from start to finish.

We discovered this place based on recommendations on the internet and it was an excellent choice. The atmosphere is particularly pleasant, warm and welcoming. We were served by Peter, a very friendly and professional person. Even though we do not speak English fluently, we understood each other very well and he gave us excellent recommendations. He recommended an entrecôte and a bottle of red wine from Italy and the experience was extraordinary. The meat was incredibly tasty — I think it is the best meat I have eaten in the last 3 years. A very interesting thing is that you can see the meat displayed in the window and choose the piece you want yourself, which makes the experience even more special. Both the dish and the wine were excellent. Everything was superlative. I highly recommend this place for a special dinner, in a truly special place. Thank you! We will definitely be back.

Great evening at Mr. Meat Steakhouse. Our server Peter was friendly, attentive, and really made the experience complete. First of all, its a very fine restaurant. We ate here in a group of 6 persons. We reserved in advance for weeks. The service was very good, our orders were taken within minutes. However, we waited for 20+ minutes before our drinks arrived (coke and water). Our food, which was taken together with our drinks, arrived almost 1h after ordering. And the beef was allover too done. Medium wasnt rose' like we anticipated. The whole table got more of a "done" beef. When we ordert dessert and coffee they also made a mistake and didn't bring any espressos or Ice cream. But we already had paid and should open another invoice. After complaining about the overall experience they wouldn't accommodate us in any way and made us leave. For an order over 450€ with a non optional service fee of 10% we simply expected more.

I've had the best steak in my life at Mr. Meat Steakhouse. I ordered the filet mignon with sea salt and it was wonderful. For dessert, we also ordered katmer and it was also delicious. We will definitely be back when we're in Amsterdam.

Unfortunately, the steak was tough. The appetizers and desserts were fine. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff attentive. To apologize for the disappointing meat, they treated us to dessert.

This is how they served my dry aged T bone steak with a price of no less than 52 EUROS.. In all my years and times of eating a T bone steak, i have never been served something like this. It looks like it was harassed in the kitchen. The flavor was reasonable, but from a meat focused restaurant you expect a lot more if you pay 52 euros. Instead I got this with a small cup of fries.. The staff forgot our order before and we had to wait more than an hour. My friend ordered a burger and received a plain regular cheeseburger, comparable to a regular burger place, but here it was 25 EUROS. Another friend got a dish called 'heaven on Earth' which was, according to the menu, 'the chefs favorite'. Instead, when they brought it, it looked more like a bad decision than a favorite. The manager did offer something else to compensate a little, which we did appreciate. At the same time he was mostly busy defending the prices, price/quality and even dared to say that 'this is how you serve a T bone steak'. He should have just apologized and take the feedback to heart. In conclusion: The prices are WAY to high for what you get, which was true for all three different dishes. I would avoid this place, there's better option in the area.

This is the first time ever I felt like I should write a bad review, but I really felt I needed to because the experience here was just really bad. First off, after 45 min of waiting we asked if our food was still coming or if there was an issue in the kitchen, turns out they didn't even start because somewhere there was a communication gap and the kitchen forgot us. They apologised, and that was something we would just let slide of course if it wasn't for the quality of the food. I had the burger. And literately, it felt like a mcdonalds burger but with a bit better beef. It was just a beef patty, with onion and a slice of cheese on it on a burger bun. No sla, no tomato, nothing. I now it's a steak house, but I've been to plenty and I don't think I've ever been to a steak house where I ordered a burger and you just get the meat on a paddy. I should have taken a picture, because my plate looked super sad. Just that burger with some fries thrown on the side. 0 effort in presentation. If this was a cheap place, then I get it, but for what we paid you expect a lot more or at least comparable to other steak houses in Amsterdam. Also, side note, the bread we got at the beginning was clearly 1 or 2 days old. And it was not just me, my other friends felt the same about their food. Because we all felt a bit bad about what we got, we felt like we needed to say it to a staff member. I don't think I ever did that in my life. He brought the manager and he trief appologising but in doing so, he made it worse. He said sorry, but he also said to my friend who ordered what I believe was Hemel op Aarde (and who was also very unhappy with what he got): "What you ordered is not one of our best dishes actually." Super weird to hear that from the manager about his own menu. Then my other friend said the t-bone was off the bone which if very unusual when ordering a t-bone. But then he said it was for health reasons as it's actually cleaner and has less bacteria or something if they cut it off the bone. We never heard of that one before, and after a google/chatgpt search after we left it turned out nobody has heard that one before. He kept defending himself about the price and he even said that we can go to other restaurants to compare. (It was never about the price, it was about the value for money) He said he has a lot of good google reviews and they are always booked out etc. He kept defending himself over and over again, instead of just taking the feedback and apologise in a normal matter. After he left, a server came and offered us what I believed was Limoncello as a way to apologise. That was nice he did, we did not really need it but we said okay. Only then a few minutes later, another server came and gave us each a new beer. Super confusing. It was appreciated, but again we did not want it because both my friends came by car. So we did not want to drink more alcohol. Instead of just bringing a beer as a way of saying sorry, it might have been better to ask if we wanted something on the house. He did gave us some slices of a dish, also on the house, which was really good. We did feel like they tried their best to make amends, but it was just a really bad experience and they should just take the feedback and do better. Oh, another side note, the restroom did not had a handle inside. So my friend got stuck in the toilet for a while. Nice.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction. We have been customers for several years of Mr. Meat, and for this reason, we are sending this message. On January 13th, my son turned 15 years old. As we wanted to celebrate his birthday, we asked him where he would like to go for dinner. He chose Mr. Meat. We made the reservation and we informed the staff that it was our son’s birthday, we asked if it was possible to make something special and if they could arrange a special dessert. We were told that it would be possible, but they don't have too many options, fear enough. When we arrived at the restaurant, we placed our order: 2 Citir (medium), 1 Lokum (medium), a cheese salad, and 1 bottle of prosecco. We were informed that Prosecco was no longer available on the menu. When the food arrived at the table, we noticed that the dishes did not include spinach, the meat was well done instead of medium, and we had to ask for the salad again, which arrived 10 minutes later and was covered with a lot of dressing. We informed the waiter, João (who showed excellent professionalism and kindness, also the other staff who came into our table), and we did express our dissatisfaction. It was our son’s birthday, and he was the one who chose Mr. Meat for his celebration. With so many other restaurants in Amsterdam, this was very disappointing. We asked that management be informed. The manager was not in the dining room but in the office. When he came into the dining area, João spoke to him. We saw him look at our table when he was talking with Joao, afterwards the Manager , return to his office without saying a word. Unfortunately, this was a clear lack of disconsideration, from all the reasons that i did mention above. We did not receive a single apology from the management, nor even a “happy birthday” to our son. We deeply regret that a restaurant which used to provide an excellent service has come to offer this kind of experience and indifference towards them clients.

We walked in at six o'clock without a reservation. Initially, there was no room, but the host did his best to find a table that was available until 8 p.m. The service was also efficient and attentive. We then enjoyed a delicious meal. I had a perfectly cooked entrecote steak. I'm very picky with steaks, so I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. The service was professional, we had s nice cocktail, good starters, and great atmosphere (music not too loud, lots of space). Really nothing I could complain about.
