had a meal at this place and the meat was delicious. Everything looked clean and the staff was very friendly. They don’t serve any sauce with the meat, as they believe in the natural flavor of their meat — and they’re right. Normally I always eat my meat with sauce, but here it wasn’t necessary at all. The meat was so juicy and flavorful. I will definitely come back — one of the best meat restaurants around Amsterdam Centrum.

Me and my family came to the restaurant and we had ordered 5 of the dry age steak. It was really horrible, very chewy, not even the slightest tender. I spent over 500 euros thinking it would be an enjoyable meal. the man who had served us didn’t understand English, and we were unable to communicate with him. This is my second time at this restaurant and both times we ran into the similar issues.

We had a wonderful experience in this charming steakhouse. Sadly we didn’t catch the name of our waiter but he was knowledgable about the menu and guided us well in choosing the cuts of steak suitable to our preferences. The steaks were exceptional as was the service. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Strongly recommend.

My girlfriend and i came to dine last night and i dare to say… it was amazing: the staff, the place and especially the food. Not too expensive for what they offer, we got the chef’s specialty “hemel op aarde” and it was as it was described… a trip to heaven!! We'd already seen the menu and knew it was quite pricey. Especially with meat, if it's good, I don't hesitate. But now I can say that I thought it was really overpriced for what you got. Starter: 6 prawns pil-pil €20!!!😵 Were they tasty? Sure, but not €20 in my opinion. Main: 300g New York Strip Steak with a side of fries and spinach. The spinach was as good as it looked (I'll leave the judgement to you). The meat was well-cooked, but 'tasteless'. Garnished with salt, but no 'real' flavor or tasty sauce or anything. All in all, €36 is pretty good, considering the weight. Would I recommend this place? Meh, I don't think I'd do it again anytime soon. I think you can eat better at a real Argentinian restaurant or something for the same price (or less). Note: the service was friendly and reasonably quick.

Very nice place, friendly staff, we ordered 2 steaks and a salad, the meat was very tasty and the roasting was as ordered, the salad was absolutely bland, there was not enough spices, for dessert fried puff pastry with pistachios and ice cream, very tasty, in general very good, who would like to visit a meat restaurant I recommend

Excellent. The meat is cooked to your liking. I like it well-done. My wife likes it medium. They have every kind of meat cooked. Nusret, come and see how the meat is cooked. The meat is very, very high-quality. I left the salad to the waiter. It's excellent. Even the cheeses in it are excellent. The kitchen is masterful, both from Adana and Kırşehir. There are legendary chefs and master chefs.

An absolutely lovely dining experience. Staff was quick and very kind. Me and my friends from the states ordered the Steak Tartare, Heaven on Earth, Filet Mignon, and New York strip steak. All of them blew us away. Dank je wel voor de maaltijd!

I had the shato (grilled beef fillet in butter) with grilled mushrooms as a side dish, the meat arrived at the table quite quickly, the meat was well seasoned, tender and juicy. And the mushrooms were very fragrant and well seasoned too, frankly nothing to complain about you can come and eat here with your eyes closed. 👌🏻

I went for the first time today and ordered a ribeye, a truly fantastic piece of meat, seriously. Perfectly prepared, too, exactly how I requested it. You don't get that everywhere; many steakhouses ask for it, but you end up getting something completely different. Here, it's exactly how it should be – top-notch. What was I missing? Maybe a fresh chimichurri on the side, or some extra vegetables that you can order separately. When you have a nice, large piece of meat, it's just nice to be able to vary things during your meal. That would make it perfect, in my opinion. Other than that, an excellent experience!

We only faced a small issue as we had a reservation and when we came they asked us to wait for 5 minutes to prepare a table for us then they forgot about us and we ended up waiting for almost 15 minutes to prepare. However, once we got seated everything went great. The service and the food was amazing.

I used to go to this restaurant quite frequently because it's so close to my home and I truly enjoy a quality steak. Lately, though, there's been a clear deterioration in food quality. My previous meal felt distinctly less good and overall appeal I'd come to expect. Hoping it was just an off day, I returned today, but my rib eye was again not tender at all, and the fat was also simply too much. These may seem small things but when a single slice of meat costs €40, the quality must be absolutely perfect.

Might have been the best steak I have ever eaten

They have a hug meat menu to choose from - I ordered the filet mignon and it was pretty tasty. It’s a cool looking spot with a big skylight and seems like it was built on top of an old building. The service was actually quite fast but the waiter was not the nicest.

Grilled prawns and lokum was great but over all everthing was pricey. Burger Patty was a disaster sorry and the fries I found them very ordinary for a steakhouse

Nice place with reasonable service. The food is really overpriced. The cocktails are also very mediocre. Too much ice. Too little alcohol. And when you can fill beer vases to the brim, you can also do so with prosecco. It seemed like a sip had been taken from it. And that for that price. Spinach mush can be replaced by real chimichurri as far as I'm concerned. It also tastes better with the meat. The meat was very tasty though. We were sitting in a corner. I took a picture of the wall. It could do with being cleaned. Really unappetizing. Wouldn't come back again.

We had an unforgettable birthday for my husband at Mr. Meat in Amsterdam. This restaurant is chic and offers a great selection of wines and meat. If you like good meat, this is the place to be. They know their meat and the quality was excellent. Mrs. Buket served us the whole evening and her kindness and expertise made it really special. She gave us excellent information about the menu and made sure everything was perfect. To finish we got a delicious limoncello, which was not even that good in Italy! We will definitely come back and have already recommended it to our friends. Mr. Meat was a gem that we had not discovered yet!

The place is beautiful and the staff are very hospitable. However, I made a reservation online before coming to Amsterdam, and when we arrived, the worst-located table had been reserved for us. It wasn't very comfortable. The food was so delicious that I wished we could have stayed a bit longer to enjoy it more, but our table location really took away from the experience.

My wife's boneless rib eye, (scotch fillet) was perfectly cooked and delicious. I wanted Porterhouse but at 86 euro for dry aged, I decided to very a dry aged T bone. Note dry aging should make it more tender, more intense in flavour and little drier, so medium rate doesn't bleed on your plate. My first one come out properly cooked but the main side was chewy, The waiter saw my disappointment and offered to replace it. I said no it's ok, but he insisted, and I accepted. I should have eaten the fillet side first as it was ace. Unfortunately they over cooked the second one to grey edges and pink centre, I wish I'd had keep the first piece. But they took it away and didn't charge me as the kitchen was closing and to late for something else. Excellent service.

Food and service were excellent. They do a good sear on the meats. Had their ribeye and T-Bone perfectly grilled. The only downside is that there isn’t air conditioning so it was really hot indoors. The staff were great with checking in and refilling up cold waters though.

Solid quality for a reasonable price in Amsterdam city. Had a Ribeye Steak medium rare, according to menue and Website its grass-fed. I cant confirm, i had to believe the describtion. It tasted good. French fries was done with herbs, which is a nice detail. Location has a kind of wintergarden with glas roof. Makes it bright and living room like.

Have been several times to eat here and always enjoyed the experience and the food. Last night (June 14th 2025) it was the first time that we had some 'snag' with the meat. My wife's New Yor Strip and my Rib Eye were a bit 'chewy' in some part. To give context, my wife strip was 'medium' and my rib was 'medium-rare' cooked. We mentioned this to the waiters helping us (Antonio & Joao a trainee) and they immediately apologized and offered to change. Since I am not in for an opportunity to strike a deal, but just give my honest opinion as to make sure that a place I like keeps their standard, I declined. To which Antonio offered us, on the house, coffee and since it was my birthday, I got surprised with a piece of cheesecake topped by a sparkling/firework candle. Nice gesture. All and all, I will come back to eat here since I consider the meat (and the way it is prepared/cooked) really good. A high praise to the service, always top, as Antonio and Joao (hope he is called/spelled like this, but his name tag only said 'trainee') demonstrated yet again last night. Claudio

I’d honestly recommend they change their name to “Mr. Quickly Meat” — we were in and out in 45 minutes flat! Speedy service is great, but it felt like we were on a dinner express train. The staff were friendly but things came along almost in a rush. On the bright side, the meat was delicious and the wine hit the spot. With a bit more warmth and attention to detail, this place could go from fast to fantastic!

Very sad to say, but please save your money and go to Loetje/Carbon/Pompstation or Selva instead. Giving 1 star for the fries. The place is packed with tourists. Serving almost like a fast food restaurant. I bet the meat is grilled in advance and just sitting in the kitchen to be served. We’ve orderend Chefs Signature dishes Lokem and Hemel op Aarde. Not worth the money. The meat was dry/ well done, instead of medium and didnt had much taste. The spinach cream is like a gruel that comes from the school cafeteria. The table next to us commented the same about the dryness of the meat, but the manager ignored them.

Mr. Meat Steakhouse canceled our reservation less than an hour beforehand without giving any reason. This is unacceptable and completely disrespectful of a restaurant.

I felt like I was in a snack bar, only with good food. Crowded, loud, tables to close. The meat was good, although not very diversely served - fries and spinach for each dish.

Amazing place to have some great meat! We went to this place for dinner and had to have a quick meal since we went without reservation and the table was booked after an hour. The service was friendly and quick leaving us ample time to enjoy the meal. The food itself was amazing. Lamb chops were amazing, the best we've had. The steak was great too!

One of the nicest places in Amsterdam to eat meat. Beautiful and clean space and fast service. Because it's the kind of food I'm looking for and I like it, I can say that for the price it charges, I've eaten much better roast meat. In Amsterdam, shops close earlier than in Greece, they told us that it closes at 11. We left at 10:50, they had started to pack everything up while we were still there, at which point there were two people who had taken the money out of the cash register and were counting it. Nevertheless, I insist that it's a nice choice and the guy who was serving us suggested an amazing wine and we tried it.

They have delicious food, I tried katmer for dessert and it was much more delicious than the one I had in Antep. Unfortunately, the service is poor, they take the services and finished drinks from the table in a timely manner and the table is clean for the customers and it negatively affects their desire to eat and drink a little more.

We ordered a rib eye steak and it wasn’t tender, lacked flavor or seasoning.. or maybe it’s because I’m from Botswana where I’m used to some good beef.

We went there for supper. The meat was good and the service was excellent - the dark haired waitress was very professional and friendly. And, it's the first restaurant we went in Amsterdam that didn't ask for tips! Of course, we left some money for the good service we had received.

Food on itself oke, but taste is quite mellow. Neither the steak tartare nor the grilled meat did have a lot of taste. Bread with a very small cup of tapenade made from powder is a new experience and not close to what you expect in a restaurant. The real disappointment however was that quite some items on the food & beverage menu were not available. No special beers, hardly any mocktails and also no T-bone steak. When we left the restaurant we however passed a meat display full with dry aged t-bones and porterhouse steaks…. Very strange. This place is a tourist trap.

We chose it for dinner. The meat was cooked perfectly, we also loved the noodles 😍😍 Also, the cocktails are very nice, I definitely recommend them 🥰 Also, your tables for 2 people are too small, your plates that come with candles, salt and pepper are too big :) You need to change either the plates or the tables, the waiter was confused about how to fit the plates :)

Nous ne comprenons pas les éloges faites à ce restaurant: l’entrée de bœuf chaud avec cheddar : baigne dans l’huile et n’a aucun goût ni aucun intérêt. Frites congelées (alors que la cuisine a les bras croisés) viandes bonnes mais cassant pas 3 pattes à un canard non plus !! Burger sans salade et service mitigé. Sûrement meilleur ailleurs.

What a fabulous evening . Deniz and his staff were fab and food was soooo good. An all round perfect choice with great food and lovely ambience Deffo would go again,we were with a large group and service was perfect.
