Restaurant Argentalia Amsterdam in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

No words for how good this was. The Lasagna Bolonaise and the Cannelloni were absolutely fantastic. Not heavy, full of amazing flavor, very nice portion. Also got Antipasto for 1 and the Foccachia bread, both were fantastic. With hundreds of restaurants to choose from, this place is a very good choice. This must have been an Argentinian steakhouse in the past. The menu was mostly Italian cuisine and pasta.

The steaks are great, the potatoe with sour cream is not exactly what we expected 7/10 and tomato soup was good enough.

Had a fabulous meal last night, the food was delicious, service excellent and we felt very welcome. We left a hat there and returned today to see if they still had it, we were greeted by a lovely man who had our hat stored safely for our return- thank you!!

Very nice experience! We entered this restaurant quite by chance on New Year's Eve and we were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the staff, the quantity of dishes, the fact of not having to rush to make room for other customers … everything was perfect and we obviously keep the address :)

When we walked in, we realized that we made the right choice. There were friendly Turkish waiters, the stick meats were great, and the price was very normal.

I very rarely eat out for steak (because I like to cook my own) and wow, this place had some very yummy rib eye. Definitely recommend.

Last Friday I forgot a sweater after dinner. Called a few hours later and they said they had indeed found him. I asked if I could pick him up on Wednesday because I was back in Amsterdam and that would be no problem. Came by on Wednesday and now they have lost my sweater. Very strange that they first find him and then suddenly lose him. It was a pretty expensive sweater, so someone is probably walking around with it now. It's my own fault that I lost it, but I think it's very bad that lost property is treated this way.

Very tasty pizzas. Very well priced and served by friendly staff.

This restaurant is located on a busy side street. The menu is extensive, however they also have a number of lunchtime special deals (2pm-4pm). I ordered the Mixed Grill lunchtime special, which consisted of (rump) steak, spare ribs, chicken breast, fries & side salad - all for €18.95. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, and the chicken / ribs were equally tasty. The staff were pleasant and attentive, the seating comfortable (choice of booths or open tables), the decor tasteful and background music in line with the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for a lunchtime meal.

We knew it was a tourist trap coming in, but we didn't expect it to be that bad. The food was understandably overpriced and underwhelming but the main problem is the staff. The waiter who talks too much was very rude and inappropriate. He was already too loud and intrusive to begin with, but his attitude turned completely unprofessional when he asked us if we were friends but we replied we were a couple (we are two women). His reply was "why?" It's a shame that in such a tolerant city, you can still experience this kind of attitude. He then proceeded to ask why we had a Ukrainian flag pin, clearly expressing disapproval. He then went on a rant about Eastern Europe as my partner mentioned she's from that region, he kept demonstrating his ignorance and expressing his opinions when no one asked him. A cherry on top is that he refused to sort out an issue in the bill, saying it's not his responsibility.

Food is not great and the service is terrible. Our initial waiter who took our order was alright, but then I think his shift was finished so another one took over. He was lowkey homophobic, tried to (unsolicitedly) subtly express his political opinions, and was not trying to accommodate when we pointed out a mistake (said it’s not his problem as he didn’t take the order). Wouldn’t recommend

Really unfriendly, screaming because we were asking how large the big bottle of water!!! Couldn’t even split the bill at all.

Went here for dinner with 2 friends and it was really great. All 3 of us had a steak as a main course and it was really well prepared. Furthermore, the staff was very friendly and served with a smile on their faces. In short, I think it's just a great tent.

The burger meat on the menu says: “USA ANGUS 100%” it was not good. It seems to be frozen (it tastes like frozen) it lacks taste. Fries the same… not good not fresh. One of the staff at the time of the bill when we wanted to pay separately he said we'll manage. 😅😅😅 correct toilets.

We had ordered fillet but we were served a ribeye. We were told it was a fillet but you could clearly see it wasn't a fillet.

The dishes are flavorless. The pasta sauces are liquid... they seem to be industrial. Tourist restaurant to avoid.

The place is nice, small but welcoming, the waiters are friendly. I had a pizza, mixed grill and a steak on the side. The pizza was surprisingly good for being abroad. Nothing amazing, but good pizza. I wasn't crazy about the steak, it lacked a bit of flavor, while the mixed grill was very good, especially the spicy spicy sausage. A nice little place at the end, I didn't try the pasta out of fear, but on the things I commented on, you can be on the safe side.

We had a great evening, great drinks and food. Our waiter Cenk made the evening perfect! He made us laugh all the time and took great care of us. We asked in the afternoon whether we could make a reservation for the evening. This is normally not possible on Saturday, they surprised us in the evening when they reserved a place for us.

We've visited here twice, good food with great service and a really friendly atmosphere. There were five of us, and we all really enjoyed the food and the great people here. It's a must try for a non expensive restaurant.

During my week in Amsterdam I went to this restaurant several times because it was playing it safe, everything I tried; very rich The cannelloni are spectacular and the steak eye ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lastly, the service is very good, the waiters are always attentive and good-natured.

To begin with, the musicalization is neither Argentine nor Italian. One of the waiters is very insolent. I have never been in a less Argentine place in my life. It must be the most generic place that exists. If you want an Argentine experience, don't go to this place.

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the meat is good. However, be aware that sides are not included in the price. For example, the sirloin steak (23€) only comes with a single slice of potato. The "baked potato with sour cream" pictured on the is an extra (4.5€). Additionally, one of the waiters was rude and unresponsive to basic greetings.

Beautiful peices of meat, good service and great value

Argentina and Italy, since it is seen that they have combined the worst of each country. The gluten-free promotion that they published so much in the window apparently only for the pizzas, that you need a chainsaw to cut them, the tasteless ingredients, the rib stiffer than a shoe sole... The worst was the attention, the service, the waiters well, a rat treats you better. I asked the man what I could eat from the SG menu and he only said "the pizzas" and in a very bad way. It seemed like a scam to me. Please, don't even come in full of wine. In many other places we have ordered the gluten-free one and were delighted with life and super delicious.

Had a 300g Steak here, but with very little flavour, had to add salt and pepper to give it some sort of taste. The french fries were okay as a side dish, but expected a little bit more from the meat for the price of the meal.

Food was decent, stick to the steaks though. Service slow to get the bill and staff very aggressive at times. Wouldn’t go back but did the job.

Year ago we ordered 'tortilla espanol' that was still frozen we gave it back and they tried to make us pay before I started to shout about health risk they brought another check and didn't charge for that one

Very good food in a very attractive restaurant where the service makes time for you and makes you feel as comfortable as possible...all toppers there.

Don't eat Italian if you don't want to feel bad about it. The "carbonera" made with cream and bacon, the "bolognese" looked like canned ragu. Half a decent chicken. If you have to choose this place it's only for the meat, good but nothing exceptional. In the end they gave us a limoncello that was clearly homemade and badly made among other things. Not to mention the waiter, he makes jokes in very poor taste, complimenting a friend of ours and calling me otherwise handsome. Do you want this in a restaurant?

I had short ribs and it was the tastiest I've ever had, the portion was quite large. The place is good, they have Latin music playing and the staff, even though they don't speak Spanish, are very friendly.

The food is good, but the service is not very good, it took an hour to bring the food with the restaurant with few people, the music was very loud, annoying, we asked them to turn it down but it didn't matter.

Not sure why, maybe because of the street and the many tourist: I didn't perse expect this place to be that good! Had half a chicken and jacket potato with sour cream and a ginger beer. Food was delicious! Well prepared. And I had the feeling that other people's dishes were also looking great.

Impossible to divide the note in two unacceptable. I asked for my steak rare, I was way overcooked ✌️

Dinner and breakfast can be a bit pricey, but if you come during lunch time, you can eat steak at a cheaper price, so be sure to go during lunch! (We ordered the ones with pictures posted outside!) The staff is really friendly and the other foods suit Korean tastes well! And the ribeye here is delicious (Korean seasoned ribs) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Everything in the pictures here is delicious -> The oil pasta is also delicious👍 The bathroom here is really clean too. There is even a delicious pancake and dessert shop across the street, so I think I was very satisfied with my meal!! It was enough food for 5 people to be full! If you stop by Amsterdam, be sure to come by! Disappointing point: They don't provide tap water, so you have to purchase still water if you want to drink water, but it's a bit expensive, so if you want to drink water, I recommend purchasing it outside.

The restaurant is not a mistake, the food is delicious, and we went there for two days after each other 😍 There is a variety of food for adults and children. We ordered two types of steak, pasta stuffed with cheese, and a burger. All of them were without mistake. There was an employee who spoke Arabic. He was very tasteful and helped us a lot. I highly recommend him 😋

I ordered a mixed grill and green salad. The grill was very tasteless and of low quality, and lettuce was the only ingredient in the salad without any decoration. When I wanted to pay the bill, the waiter asked me to pay in cash, but I wanted to pay by card. He then asked me to pay in cash or wash dishes instead! His behavior was very rude and impolite. There was a fly in the restaurant. Overall, I never recommend this place to anyone. I chose this restaurant because of its high rank on Google, but I completely regret it.

After eating here, I can only assume most of the reviews are fake or paid promotions. I ordered the prime rib in medium, and what came out was a well done, super thin, low quality piece of meat that left me stunned. Aside from the completely incorrect grade of steak, it definitely wasn't a "prime rib".. I immediately voiced that it was well done upon cutting it open. They took it back as if they were waiting for a complaint or that it happens very often.. They apologized and took it back, promising much better. What came was a much bigger, thicker piece of meat, but this one I'd say was medium rare and not medium, not too much of a big deal. It was way more raw than I wanted it. Two opposite extremes than before. It was edible unlike the first try, but then I started worrying that because it was so raw, that I'd get sick. The burger I ordered had extremely hard buns, and the patty didn't seem like the "black angus" they advertised. Clearly a cheap patty from the looks of the texture, like for a microwave meal. Overall, I'm kind of in disbelief that this restaurant has such a high rating. It's evident from their extensive menu, they don't serve fresh food. It is all frozen. Not that big of a deal, but if you want something fresh and tasty, this is not the place. One out of five stars, but I'll add an extra star just because they did a re-do on the steak. Still overall an unpleasant experience.

The restaurant is reasonable but certainly not one that you would go to twice. We had a large table and ordered steaks and pizza’s. Steaks were ok, pizza was ok, wine list was ok. The restaurant was a bit dirty, our waiter was good.
