De Brasserie huberts sinds 1922 in Centrum

Bad experience, mainly due to the grumpy grey-haired waitress. Everything was too much trouble for her. That's why I just had a drink and had a nice lunch elsewhere. Even when paying the bill, I wasn't asked if everything was to my liking.

Looked for a place with air conditioning. Had a wonderfully relaxed meal.

A lovely place to enjoy a cup of coffee with cake on a free morning. Nice atmosphere and fun, friendly staff. The ice cream is also excellent!

The chicken lemon dish was delicious

We came here for a quick bite while shopping. We received good service and the waitress was very friendly! The food was very good and the various lemonades on the menu were delicious too.

Great ice cream parlor in the center of Meppel. The ice cream tastes good and is made using traditional methods; Huberts has been known for its ice cream in the city since 1922. A nice spot for an ice cream during a walk or on the terrace.

It is always a pleasure to eat at De Brasserie. The daily menus are always good, and this time they were particularly good. A delicious bavette, perfectly cooked with homemade chimichurri. Delicious!

Always a nice place to be, but the coffee cups have shrunk or something.. too much money for a small-sized coffee..

For my girlfriend Jeanet and me, it is our weekly outing that we would really miss if it were no longer there. A real night out, and the food and service are fantastic.

Had a delicious lunch! I had the avocado toast, which was delicious, although I would have preferred a bit more avocado on it 😉. I also enjoyed a lovely hot chocolate. The soup was tasty, but the portion could have been a bit bigger. It was quite busy inside, but luckily there's also lovely seating outside. In short: definitely a great spot for lunch!

What a lovely brasserie in the heart of Meppel! We had a delicious meal on the terrace and enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely eat here again!

We were pleasantly surprised after enjoying lunch. The menu is very extensive and the prices are reasonable. Our only minor criticism is that the club sandwich has egg, even though it's not specified on the menu. Service was excellent!

We had a wonderful lunch at De Brasserie! The taste explosions in your mouth are really worth it to have lunch here. For me it is definitely worth repeating. Delicious food and tasty ice cream

For us this was the first time we ate here. We reserved a table and upon arrival there was a nice 'welcome card' waiting for us. Unfortunately the daily menu was no longer available, but all 4 of us still had a delicious meal. The service was very friendly We will definitely come back

Dear Brasserie team, We have been coming here as a family for years. Always a party, good atmosphere, nice staff and a driven boss who is passionate about her work. Always the same faces (staff), which indicates that there is a good working atmosphere. The food is fantastically served with a fine combination and composition of flavors. Unfortunately a disappointing experience at De Brasserie | Huberts. Twice we were served spoiled milk, and despite pointing this out both times, no apology was given. At checkout nothing was said about it, which shows a lack of customer friendliness. A real shame, because the club sandwiches were tasty. But due to the poor service and nonchalant attitude, I will not come back here again. (Response to the brasserie's response): whole milk can certainly become spoiled, as soon as pieces get into it it becomes sour and spoiled... I know it was not included in the bill... otherwise I would of course have commented on that. Our main concern is that you have not even offered an apology. In addition, we were not told anything about a free drink from home... very sorry about your bad response...

Cappuccino with warm apple sauce was very tasty. However, the service really leaves a lot to be desired. When taking my order I had to ask myself if they had anything and what. The friendliness was hard to find (there goes your tip). If I had wanted my hot apple pie with my Cappuccino, I should have said so, were the words of the lady. Very unfriendly staff!!! At least this lady!! Bye tip, bye good review!

The chai latte here is really delicious! You can also sit here and have a drink, they have heaters outside so ideal even on a cold evening.

We were traveling through with our packed bikes and I was able to charge my battery 🔋 from the e-bike, which was of course great! We only ate small things. The restaurant is in a busy pedestrian zone and we sat outside to keep an eye on the bikes.

Just get away... come home. Inside or outside... a lovely place to eat or enjoy a glass of wine. Such a nice team of lovely people.❤️ Highly recommended.

The three of us, Annie, Kobie and Harry, regularly go out for dinner in Meppel because we recently moved here. Fortunately, we discovered the Brasserie and we now eat there almost every week. The food and drinks here are delicious and of good taste. Recommended to everyone

Nice place for a nice lunch. It is nice to sit in the middle of the city without cars driving by. Due to the crowds, it was sometimes difficult to contact the staff.

The two of us sat down on the terrace. Ordered some food. Complete surprise I ordered the daily menu. Pork tenderloin skewer salsa. with potato and tomato salad. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality.

Came here for lunch and ordered the steak sandwich with a fresh tea. The fresh tea had the following ingredients: cinnamon, star anise, ginger, mint and orange. The tea was lovely, yet served in a small'ish cup. The steak sandwich was of very average quality and lacked a lot of flavour to be honest. The sandwich came with two slices of fresh bread, some rocket salad, sliced cold steak with a teriyaki sauce and crispy fried unions. The flavours were clean, but the sandwich was in definit need of more flavour and potentially some ingredients. Service was kind, relatively quick and prices are normal for a cafe. The place inside looks beautiful, aesthetically very pleasing. Bathrooms are upstairs, something to keep in mind if you have a disability, but were very clean.

My mother's maiden name was Huberts, so we had to visit Brasserie Huberts in Meppel.

Cozy brasserie. We sat 'outside' under the adjacent awning. First on the outer edge, which is quite cold in winter. There are heaters, but only on the side of the facade. Pleasant if you sit on the facade side, less so if you sit on the outer edge. As an owner, I would consider small heaters that simply run on electricity, which you can click on to your awning. Makes it enjoyable for everyone. And now the map. Great card. I sometimes find the prices disproportionate, but... the food tastes great! However, there are a lot of staff for what I think is a small brasserie. This causes several waitresses to come to your table to ask if you want to order, while you have already ordered from 2 different waitresses. But also about that: better to ask for too much than not to be looked after. Overall rating: excellent eatery. Extremely friendly staff. Atmosphere is good!

Cosy, friendly atmosphere and delicious food

At the end of the afternoon/beginning of the evening you can catch some sun on the terrace. You can also sit outside under cover. The snacks are simple, but tasty. Management visits regularly and serves professionally and smoothly. I highly recommend the weizen beer, which is now the beer of the month. (Weihenstephaner) Near the toilets they have beautiful photos of the former situation where the canal still ran through the center of Meppel. The toilets themselves are spotless and pleasant to visit.

If it is good, it can and should be said! Very friendly, neat and helpful service. But above all, the best steak of the year served for me. Perfect cooking. This way you always want to get a steak. Point of attention, the waiter did not ask me how I would like my steak. Got the steak medium, execution a 10! Garnish of potato chips, chimmichurri, not too difficult but really good!

Could sit comfortably in the shade. Food was good, hot and plenty of it. Service was a bit slow to notice that we were there, but once we ordered, it went smoothly. Very interesting and fun menu that differs well from other establishments in the area, so we will definitely come back to try the rest

We had a wonderful lunch here, great service and delicious food. Plenty of choice on the menu and collaboration with Cicero. Cicero makes delicious homemade falafel. When you've finished eating, you can get a delicious ice cream at the adjacent ice cream parlour.

This is my go to place for lunch food in Meppel as it's fairly priced and great for the value. I'd add that while the menu doesn't have many international dishes on it everything is tasty. If you have a free lunch and need a place to go this is it.

Good food, ready quickly, friendly service but... Both toilets were extremely dirty. So I left with a very full bladder, because it was impossible, which unfortunately costs stars, even though everything else was fine.
