Had a delicious meal here! It is a cozy restaurant and the service is superb; the people are very friendly. The food is also tasty and there is plenty of choice. I had the mushrooms in puff pastry as a starter, the schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce as a main course, and the bokkenpootjes ice cream cake for dessert. The dessert in particular was truly delicious!

For years, this place has been on my list of places to eat. The food is excellent, tasty, and the portions are decent. The service is friendly and "homey," in the truest sense of the word. If you're looking for a fun evening and you're late, this is a great place. If you're looking for a quick bite, this might not be the place for you.

We went with nine people on Boxing Day. The atmosphere was decent, the restaurant is nicely situated. Wait times were a bit long. The service from the young man was clumsy. Well-intentioned, but ignorant and curt. The starter was decent. The oxtail soup was a broth with a few peas and such. So, it was poor, a disappointment. The rolls with butter were tasty. Main courses were decent, only the dish under the meat was a bit unspecified / the vegetables and fries were passable. The ice cream dessert was mediocre, and the cheese dessert wasn't appreciated. Both desserts were apparently pre-made. Including drinks, we paid €83 each. For this price, you really should expect more/better. We found it disappointing, especially with a large group at Christmas. The two of us have been there once before, and we had better meals. That's why we decided to go here for Christmas... So it's possible!

What a delightful and delicious evening we had here! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome; a warm welcome followed by friendly service that clearly has a passion for hospitality. The interior immediately creates a homely, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a dinner out. The menu clearly demonstrates a love of craftsmanship: many Dutch classics with a creative twist, often prepared with fresh, local and organic ingredients. One dish that stood out for us: the Simmental beef carpaccio with pine nuts and aged cheese, highly recommended. The service was attentive, friendly, and relaxed. They carefully considered our preferences, even accommodating dietary requirements. We also found the price-quality ratio to be excellent, especially considering the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Restaurant De Tipbrug is an absolute must for anyone looking for a delicious, relaxing evening out in Meppel. We will definitely be back! Best, Mike

A truly special place with quiet elegance and exceptional food We had a wonderful dinner at Restaurant De Tipbrug and it was truly one of the most beautiful and refined dining experiences we've had in the Netherlands. The atmosphere is warm, calm, and elegant — quiet luxury without noise or pretension. We sat by the bar and were served by the lovely hostess, who was charming, kind, and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. I had zucchini with tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and sweet potato purée — delicate and full of flavour. My mother had a meat mix plate with a rich, aromatic sauce. Alongside the main dishes, we were surprised with several side plates: roasted potatoes, carrots with green peas, fresh tomato-cucumber salad with yogurt dressing, and a sweet plum sauce. Everything was fresh, carefully prepared, and beautifully served. We also enjoyed two excellent glasses of wine — sweet white and a deep, fragrant red wine recommended by the hostess. It was divine! For dessert, I had a perfect crème brûlée, and my mother had the dessert tasting set with coffee. Even the restroom was luxurious and spotless — a detail that says a lot about the overall quality of the place. Highly, highly recommended — this is not just a restaurant, it’s a beautiful memory.

This place is so amazing! As an American visiting family in Europe, we had a large family dinner at this cute and cozy restaurant. Not only was the food great, they also worked with 2 of us with dietary restrictions. The people were so kind and helpful. We were welcomed as if we were family! I can not say enough great things about how good the food was! I would give them 10 stars if I could!!

Here you can really enjoy delicious food in Meppel for a normal price. We are critical eaters, and in recent years the restaurants in Meppel have been disappointing. But here it is as you wish it. Good chef, good products, large portions and very friendly service, nice menu, well, a 10.

A top restaurant where we had a wonderful time celebrating our sister-in-law's birthday. A top chef and a beautiful, very nice lady who served. Together they spent an evening making us feel wonderfully comfortable. YES, we are used to something and this place is certainly in the top 5. I wondered how you do the service and still be able to serve at least 15 people and no one had to wait for their food. In my experience, a top chef who certainly works together should have a star. We will definitely come back and reservations in advance are recommended. Thank you for the excellent evening. And no, we are here for the first time and have no relations with the business.. The downside is that it takes an extremely long time before you have a plate in front of you, count on at least an hour, the staff is also far too friendly, always coming by and trying to start a conversation with customers, a lot of people undoubtedly like that very much , we don't. If you really want to eat delicious food, you should definitely not miss the Tip Bridge. Beautiful dishes that have been put together with care. You see that and you taste it. Of course it's nice to read, but it's better to experience it yourself. You certainly won't regret it.

We received a very friendly welcome and were able to choose a seat by the window. The restaurant looks very neat and is located in a beautiful building with an authentic facade. The food was tasty and olives and nuts were placed beforehand. Various side dishes were served with the starters and main courses. We had a very tasty meal here and a great experience. We will definitely eat here more often in the future.

Heerlijk gegeten en een fijne vriendelijke bediening. Het zat vol maar toch kun je er lekker rustig zitten

De reservering gedaan via website. Beetje een onprofessionele bevestiging mogen ontvangen. Ontvangst redelijk, eten prima verzorgd, echter vergeten sausje te leveren. Vergeten of partner nog wat wilde drinken. Terwijl ik wel een tweede drankje kon bestellen. Vlees werd niet gevraagd om hoe wij het gebakken wilde hbben. Eten smaakte overigens goed, aardappeltjes was niet geheel doorbakken, beetje slap. Bakje groene groeten was te lang gekookt. Toetje niets op aan te merken. Bediening min of meer beetje te overdreven aardig. Wij komen er niet meer terug ondanks goede maaltijd.

We had a delicious meal, but as new guests we didn't really feel welcome. The service was good, but the owner didn't look at us. After making several attempts to pay with her, I finally settled with the friendly waitress. No reason for us to visit the restaurant again. Too bad missed opportunity.
