De Graal Health Cafe in Oude Pijp

Super friendly French owner, he has really good tea (especially the fruit tea) and took really good care of us. The place was once a coffeeshop and he kept most of the ambiance, so it's not like all those minimalistic cafés that you find. For me the interior made me very comfortable. Additionally he serves some French pastry.

Very welcoming, lovely ambience, great music and plants. Food and drinks were delicious. We need to support authentic healthy cafes like this.

Cosy place, perfect for a tea, a hot chocolate and a slice of pie! The owner is also very nice :) You can ask for oat milk in your chocolate instead of cow milk. Try the flan, it is so good!!

Unique and special place with 'wardrobe to narnia' feeling. ;) come here with a bit more time to experience great food by an adorable owner. Super kind and great service. We got 4 vegan plates that were not on the menu as such. Will never forget this place! :)

What a special place! If you want to escape the busy city, you can find peace and warmth here. Everywhere you look you can find something magical inside. The owner is the most special about all. You are not just another customer, you are welcomed to his home. The food was super delicious! He made a special creation for us. If I would live closer this would be the place I would regularly like to go. It is a one in a million. We will never forget the experience and will keep your rings save (as long as the glas holds). This place is NOT TEMPORARY CLOSED. It is open!!! <3 This place is a symbol of community. The guy who owns the bar is amazing, kind, and lovely towards everyone. He has the best tea in town I have to say, the real HERBAL infusion! I said community because there is a sense of knowing each other, it is a feeling of being at home and that's thanks to the owner but also the energy of the place. I recommend it if you search some peace, far away from the chaos of the city. It is like being in a little magic world. My top place in Amsterdam!<3

Really lovely owner ! Was actually a old coffee shop before and also a vintage store ! Looking forward to visit again ! Open until 9PM so super nice for a late night coffee! Also laptop friendly !

Absolute gem! Gorgeous, eclectic antique decor with a peaceful outdoor seating area in the back. The owner is so nice and helpful. He recommended a cheese pastry which is one of the most delicious things I’ve eaten in Amsterdam. From the food to the atmosphere to the service, this place is amazing. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Lovely little oasis in the middle of Amsterdam. The elder man and lady who run this place are exceedingly kind and gracious. They brewed a lovely fruit tea and apple tart, and the backyard garden nook is magical. Thank you for a wonderful rest stop!

A very cozy local house place very reasonable priced. A nice quiet inside hall with a strong WIFI and sockets making it perfect to work. Great coffee and fresh orange juice ( fresh @ 3.5 is a steal). The gentleman behind the bars was extremely courteous and helpful. Highly recommended! Thank you

Angenehmer Laden. Leider wurde 220m entfernt eine Schule eröffnet. Man kann hier gemütlich sitzen, sich unterhalten oder auch Schach dergleichen spielen. Es gibt Fische, Katzen und ein Chamäleon zu bestaunen.

De Graal 2017 toujours un endroit aatypique et des plus agréables à Amsterdam. Divers animaux et un studio pour les musiciens valorisent l'ambiance et le confort.

This magical corner reminds one of the friendly and permissive 70's. Until a few years ago, few tourists knew of its existence, as most visitors were locals. Lately its popularity has skyrocketed due in part to the internet, the systematic closing of Amsterdam's coffeeshops by succesive center-right wing governments and the fact that tourists go ever deeper into the city & explore further and further away from well-known landmarks. Beside it's impressive size (3 different rooms spreading over 2 floors), varied chilled music, the availability of several board games, magazines, newspapers and books, the personnel is particularly friendly and helpful (even late in the night), the prices are more than reasonable and the products are prime material. Not to mention the diversity on menu. A complete must for anyone and everyone who visits Amsterdam and is a fan of getting high.

All in all a lovely place with great service.

A true Amsterdam gem. This coffeeshop has been the center of a political storm, because it has to close over a new rule that says coffeeshops can't be close to schools. It has been saved from closing throughout 2016, and the future is still unsure. So visit while you can. The weed is just good, nothing too amazing. But you come here to visit the jungle upstairs, to play some chess or listen to music downstairs. To chat with the (surprisingly cute) people behind the bar. It's like entering a living room, where you come to chill. If you're disrespectful and obnoxious, please go to the Red Light District and have your fun there and the people of Amsterdam will cheer you on. But if you're interested and respectful, go to the Graal and you'll find family here.

This coffeeshop is situated in "De Pijp". I love everything about this place. A mixture of locals and tourists make this place friendly and welcoming. The music is great. There is an "upstairs" part as well as two rooms in the back where musicians meet informally to jam. It is opposite the Sir Albert Hotel and partially hidden with Ivy. It is MUCH bigger inside than it looks. Please remember this is not McDonalds. The service can be a bit slow, but that is part of the vibe in this place. Enjoy!

The best coffee shop in Amsterdam! At first I ran past this shop because it looks very unsuspicious, but inside it's very comfortable and relaxing. In contrast to the most coffee shops you can sit in comfortable chairs and sofas while looking at fishes, toads and a chameleon as well as listening to relaxing music. Furthermore the staff is really really nice and will help you picking the right thing for you. This coffee shop is perfect for you if you are searching for a place to chill without the common rush in the big commercial coffee shops!
