Normal place, nothing special... unpleasant smell inside. Terrible staff, rude and without a shred of humanity. Having someone with us who wasn't feeling well, they made us leave!!!! Because it gave a bad image of the place!!! There are no words x xx

Lovely spot for a few drunks, really nice vibe. We got the loaded fries and they were sooo good!

Philip and Michiel were fantastic! Even though there was no food, the drinks made up for everything. They just kept pushing drinks on us! Definitely recommended, even on a Sunday.

So we popped in as tourist for a drink. Stayed for food. The service is shocking. We sat at the bar and craved service and attention. The food was good but not great. The sticky chicken was so sticky I ate the stick. Porn star martinis are NOT served with the traditional prosecco on the side. Overall the bar staff let t this place down.

A traditional pub in De Pijp with friendly service and a reasonable drinks menu. The terrace was quite busy, even on a rainy day, which was quite pleasant!

Oh, very special! It's in a strategic location, and upon arrival we were greeted by two super friendly staff members who suggested delicious appetizers and were incredibly kind. I loved it!

The bar is nice for beers, but cocktails are not their highlight. We ordered few pornstar martinis and an espresso martini and neither weger good. Pornstar martini was missing a passion fruit and a prosecco shot. When we asked the bartender about it, he said he would fix it and never did sadly.

Very nice café/bar – right in the middle of the Albert Cuyp Market in Amsterdam. I have to say: They have a very nice selection of beer there, which tastes better than anywhere else. The service is also really, really friendly and accommodating! I can absolutely recommend this place!

Great location, with plenty of outdoor seating, and very friendly servers. The cocktails were only okay - many were very similar and simple, and there could have been more variety and more upscale options. The espresso martini looked good!

What a weird experience in this Bar! I was there with four colleagues and ordered a Limoncello Spritz. After I tried the drink I noticed that there was an artificial lemon taste with a weird aftertaste. My colleague tried too and confirmed it had an artificial taste. After giving the drink back to the bartender, he tried the drink from my already used glass and kept insisting it is tasting like it should and that they cannot reimburse me for that or give me a new drink. They said I can get the drink back but after they tried and it was not tasting any good I said no. After getting back to the table we saw that he went around and let two other people try and then he finished the drink behind the bar. This never happened to me before and I hope it will never happen to everyone else again. Hope he enjoyed his free drink 😅 as they still put it on the tab.

We got drinks. Moscow mule, Cuba libre, Aperol Spritz. Everything tastes like it was diluted with water. There is 1 ice per drink, I guess we ran out of ice. I don't think there is any alcohol in these either.

For me and my wife, the Groene Vlinder is our meeting point at the Albert Cuip market. A nice beer and a smoked beef sausage sandwich. Under the heat lamp; great.

Super friendly service and good food

Visited Albert Cuyp on day A'dam. Here sit down, my comrade, while the women wandered the market. Wonderful location, nice and friendly staff and, importantly, a great menu 😇 we sat here for a while and later with the women. Delicious lunch.

Onverwachts hier terechtgekomen door een wandelroute die we volgden. We hadden niet echt honger na een uitgebreid ontbijt in het hotel, maar we besloten toch iets kleins te eten, alvorens verder te wandelen. We namen de frietjes met stoofvleessaus en dit was heel lekker. Ook de bediening was heel goed en super vriendelijk.

If you want to dance here and have a beer, you will simply be kicked out of the pub and laughed at by the security guard.

Fantastic cafe with friendly service and also located on the world famous Albert Cuyp market in AMSTERDAM. LOCAL AMSTERDAM PRICES. Definitely worth it!

There is always a nice Cafe Van de Pijp near the Markt and there is always a very cozy and nice atmosphere

Terrible ball joint that adds little besides the daily nuisance to local residents and the jupping public that cannot see beyond his/her own shoulder. Do something about it.

Very nice place to have a cup of coffee and a real student pub in the evening. You immediately feel at home with the staff and they really make time for you! Compliments for the wide choice of beer

What was striking was that there were no more eggs on the menu and it was also not possible to scramble an egg. Strange, because any restaurant/cafe should have this on the menu or the service to scramble an egg.

Had a problem with my serving on 11th of September. During an event a bartender poured a beer and then spilled some on my shirt while passing it to me, now I have a stain

Unfriendly staff. Never seen this in Amsterdam. Felt unwelcome and even bothering the server. No manners, no greetings nothing. Never coming back.

On/Near the Albert Cuyp. sit comfortably, eat well. great people watching!

Friendly service, sheltered outdoor space, excellent cappuccino with a sweet side dish and delicious apple pie. It doesn't get any better.

Simply a great pub in De Pijp with friendly service. Reasonable beer range. And a pleasant terrace.

Neat bar people, Heineken 0.0% exactly at 7 degrees Celsius. I've been coming there since the 70s and 80s. An international concept for Maarde residents, fellow Earth residents, for years. Amsterdammers and Mederlanders. Not proper beer filter etiquette and I am at a table without filters.

Nice place, nice location, fast and friendly service, products such as the apple pie seem packaged as does the latte macchiato

Really super bar with great meal options. Had the cheese platter, really good. Had the Satay plate, WOW, amazing! Really great sauce, lots of chips, very happy with that dish! Bar staff was great and friendly. Very cosy interior with decorations. Mark this place down for a must go when you travel here.

Smells like a mix of puke, old beer and chlorine. Amstel beet was disgusting and G&T too. Would not recommend and not come back

Located right off the main Albert Cuyp Market road. This cafe has mostly outdoor seating where you can order small bites, snacks and beer and relax. We tried the bitterballen and had some truffle fries with a beer. Neither are a must have but for a snack after walking up and down the market. Not bad.

Meh. Just came in for a beer and apps. Staff seemed “busy” all the time - I felt like I maybe imposed on them. Beer was cold. Fries were good. But lots of options around here.

Alleen koffie gedronken dus kan over eten niet oordelen. Maar wat een leuke plek zeg en super vriendelijk. De koffie was heerlijk!

Sehr gemütliches kleines Caféchen und immer einen kleinen Zwischenstopp wert. Tipp: im richtigen Moment, kurz bevor der Markt abgebaut wird, kommen bereits 5 - 10 Reiher und warten auf die Fischreste. Das ist immer recht lustig und man kann die Tiere aus dem Café heraus betrachten :-D

Slechte bediening en goed op je bonnetje letten of het wel klopt. Een cappuccino kost 3,60 en het is koud en een klein kopje maar. Wel jammer.

Die blonde achter de bar was echt enorm leuk, top service zou hier elke dag komen alleen voor de barvrouw!

I have just read the other reviews, but I am visiting on a Friday afternoon and all is fine. I asked to use the Wi-fi in exchange for having a drink which they happily agreed to. Great 80's tunes playing, good beer, nice simple menu, good spot to pause and people watch in the Albert Cuyp market.

Gezellige plek, maar nachos waren niet te eten.. Nacho's met een stuk kaas er bovenop geplempt die alweer hard was na afkoelen. Daarom dus alleen droge nacho's met niks. En stukjes komkommer erdoor..? Nauwelijks ui.. Nope.
