Cozy, you can sit upstairs. The apple pie is delicious and highly recommended. The chai latte has a lot of sugar, but it's still good. The carrot cake is a bit dry.

Dry banana bread and bitter coffee.

Very cute and cosy café ! The prices were reasonable and there was a wide variety of choices for both beverages and sweets.

Beautiful and cozy little cafeteria. Nice selection of pastries and tasty coffee. I just walked by and got flat white for takeaway and Gevulde Speculaas, which was just cherry on top with my morning coffee. Efficient and very polite service.

Apple pie is delicious! And the right amount of sweet! I love that it's not super sweet like most commercial ones. Their slagroom is homemade also.

Actually a very nice place, dunno why 4.2. Good coffee, a bit bitter maybe. Good cheesecake. The interior is super cool, lots of places to sit, also upstairs. Good choice of pastry. Only a bit pricey - 9,30 eur for americano and cake.

Just back from Puglia, Italy. Regular cappuccino in Monopoli (and the entire region) at a bar for €1.10. Now at Koffiesalon, €3.70 for a "small" cappuccino...in an espresso cup. Why do we always have to get ripped off in the Netherlands?

Not recommended. Slow, you have to get up every time they deliver something and go pick it up. We ordered a cheese sandwich, and it was just bread with barely any cheese. Absolutely NOT recommended.

A beautiful, cozy café where time feels like it slows down. You can sit at a big shared table – chat with strangers or simply enjoy your own company. Perfect for reading a book, flipping through the newspaper, or just savoring your meal in peace. A true little gem in Amsterdam.

The croissants and coffee were excellent. The front desk staff were also very pet-friendly, allowing owners to leave their dogs at the counter when taking them out, and also allowing dogs to accompany them when dining inside.

I was looking forward to my visit, but the staff's attitude was very disappointing. Unfriendly, disinterested, and completely unhelpful. I had hoped for better service, but this was utterly disappointing.

Staff is inattentive, tables with dirty dishes take a long time to clear... tables could use a cloth more often. Looks neglected, lukewarm cappuccino, too expensive for this quality service and coffee used to be much better, shame

It’s been a while since I encountered such unfriendly service so I had to write a note. Borderline rude, spoiled my mood completely. Also, I Asked for a decaf, and now when my heart is pounding wondering if it was decaf or not.

This was my third visit to this salon, but again a disappointment. The staff seemed completely uninterested in the customer, - no greeting, no attention. Very unprofessional and absolutely demotivating. Even the matcha tea, which I was looking forward to, was weak and not well prepared. Another missed opportunity.

One of the few places in Amsterdam with both great coffee and a variety of original pastries (Most Amsterdamers are happy with factory/super market quality, only a few cafes try harder)

Nice coffee place. I ordered a flat white and a chocolate croissant. The croissant was warm and tasted sooo nice. The coffee was good, maybe to mild for me, I was expecting a stronger flavour. Although was good.

At least at my time in 2019 there were really good waffles, not like the hyper sugar pumped at the markets. Very good baked goods and coffee. I do recommend this place over any insta hyper recommended spot.

Very disappointing staff who clearly don't feel like being there (two lazy girls on their phones). It was quiet around 2pm and yet poor service! It felt like a burden to be a customer. Croissant was chewy with hardened ends; not fresh of the day and the coffee had cooled down! Left with a bad feeling.

Great to find a place for coffee and breakfast. Flat white wasn't very flat-whitey..but it was a good cup of coffee. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The cafe itself was fab. Big table, papers, unobstrusive music and more upstairs seating. Very chilled.

Coffee is not that great, very watery… the fact that you have to wait for your coffee makes the entrance ultra crowded and the seats are just disgusting, they’ve never been washed. Only the facade looks good.

Visited in December 2024. Breakfasts are very good. I tried their apple pie and crumble. The cakes are homemade. The atmosphere is cozy and the service warm.

Visited on Christmas Day. Order and pay for 2 coffees, a hot chocolate and a cold chocolate. Coffee took so long that I didn't wait for it, the coffee I got was already cold and so was the hot milk. No apology, no refund and no coffee received. Taking a wide berth around a business called a coffee shop that doesn't sell coffee.

Best coffee in t0wn and very friendly staff

We visited on a rainy morning. The machine is a manual plunged machine. Extremely awesome. We accidentally spilled our coffee but the barista instantly brewed a new one and jumped in to clean the spill. we were amazed at the care and customer experience. Will definitely recommend this place

Lauwr cappuccino, old apple pie, too sweet whipped cream, service with a morning mood, maybe 2 stars is even too much.

The coffee tastes very good and I also recommend their pastries. They put a lot of whipped cream on the apple pie🥧 When they were almost closing they gave us some pastries for free because otherwise they would have thrown them away :)

The cappuccino and apple tart here was ah-mazing. The cheesecake was good but the apple tart was great. Especially with some cream/slagroom.

Lovely place with good Musik and nice ambience. The coffee was a bit too sour for my taste. And a medium cappuccino for 4,60 is a bit pricey. But they open earlier than most coffee shops which is nice.

Top notch beans, expertly prepared Flat White. No complaints! I found the vibe somewhat lacking, with office furniture upstairs and lights that are a bit too bright. Great for working, not so much for a first cup of the day when you’re still a little foggy and need a chill place to start your day.

Extremely bitter coffee, not suitable for consumption. Maybe the espresso machine needs to be cleaned...

A perfect place to spend a quiet morning eating cake, drinking coffee and reading the paper. The ground floor is quiet and spacious. No laptops are allowed on this floor (but they are upstairs) so great just for relaxing on your own or chatting quietly with friends. The cafe provides newspapers in English and Dutch to enjoy. They are dog friendly and dogs can come in with their owners. Their portions are generous, whether it’s their latte, fresh mint tea, or their amazing apple pie! We came here every day during our stay in Amsterdam. Highly recommend!

Good coffee but overpriced and snobby

Wonder, a very well-kept salon with top quality products in communion with a Hay store, avant-garde and design. All of this makes up a space where you want to be and spend time. The prices are quite reasonable. I will certainly repeat.

Lovely venue. I used to come here often and the coffee was great. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore, e.g. milk foam is too bubbly and airy. Staff seems quite inexperienced in general (sweet people tho), hopefully this will change soon :)

Not recommended if you want to work. The wifi didn’t work. I used my mobile data. I worked on the ground floor of the cafe for about two hours on my laptop. Just before leaving, a waitress told me that laptops are only “allowed” on the first floor and I should remember it for the “next time”. This could’ve been communicated much earlier instead of when I was about to leave. The waiters had seen me working all this while. The waitress unnecessarily had an unpleasant interaction at the end. There won’t be a “next time” for sure.

Great atmosphere, perfect for a short pause as well as for a long reading/writing session. Coffee is great while food could be improved.

The shop is BEAUTIFUL! Gorgeous lighting and a comfortable space to sit and enjoy the vibe. Pastry offerings are diverse with croissants, cakes and breads. I chose the custard tart - it was fresh and filled to the brim with delicious creamy custard. The coffee was smooth yet bold. It instantly revived me and energized me to continue exploring this wonderful town. I loved all the photos of beautiful people enjoying coffee and I also loved the mini shelves where we can place our dirty dishes. The espresso machine and grinders are all beautiful and I left thinking that there are many aspects of this shop I would pilfer if I were to ever open my own shop. They control the vibe by stating no laptops on the communal table so that people can actually commune! Laptops can be used upstairs. I wish New York coffeeshops did this because a bunch of people using laptops changes the whole vibes into a cold workspace. Here people are interacting, laughing or reading! Totally warm, human and nice 💜☕️

Coffee very good, but pastries really not good. Tried 3 different things, and all either dry or eggy. At this price definitely would not recommend.

Sehr leckerer, starker Kaffee. Ein "Muss" bei unseren Amsterdam-Besuchen. Die Gasträume sind sehr schon gestaltet (die Treppe etwas abenteuerlich schmal!), allerdings sind die zwei vorhandenen Toiletten (unisex) ziemlich heruntergekommen.

Der Kaffe ist TOP! und der Karottenkuchen ein Traum. Die Bedienung war zuckersüß und hat den Kindern Malstifte und Ausmalbilder nach Wunsch gegeben.

Good coffee and bakery. High prices, but is the center of Amsterdam, it's normal. A good place to have a coffee with friends or colleagues.

Tried a coffee pause in this place and honestly did not convinced me, especially when you can find such a remarkable coffee place a few meters away on the same street. Such an impersonal treatment by the “pretty faces” behind the bar and it took a long time to be served; time that I had to be standing waiting for my order next to the counter along with other customers as the the orders piled up.

The chai latte was lukewarm and had barely any taste. Towards to end I noticed all the chai spice syrup was lying at the bottom of the glass, not the greatest experience.
