We are quite the coffee lovers and connoisseurs from the hospitality industry. But what bitter coffee. It's a shame, nice setup, but coffee starts with taste. Clean the coffee machine, try different beans??

The coffee is good, but the coffee girls were just standing there chatting amongst themselves and didn't even greet the customer. I also had to wait until they were finished with their tea party conversation before they started making the coffee…! And for €4.35 for a small cappuccino, you would expect a bit more service.

The staff, five of them, are standing behind a bar that is too small, looking at each other to see who will pick up the work. Coffee orders go wrong and there is absolutely no system to it. There are no saucers with spoons ready, so you have to ask for them. All in all, you stand in line for a long time for bitter coffee that doesn't taste good and isn't worth the 5.50 euros.

Coffee tastes nice, quite small the portion size. However staff are slow and quite rude. One staff member said they’d remake my drink for me and I waited 10 minutes until I asked the barista where my drink was, to which she sighed and scoffed at me. maybe staff need to communicate better rather than getting annoyed at customers for their OWN mistakes. Also what coffee shop doesn’t put takeaway lids on a TAKE OUT coffee…

The baristas don't clean the portafilter, so the coffee—which is really fine in terms of the beans—tastes like burnt coffee grounds. What a shame.

An excellent cortado made as it should be. Friendly service. Pricy but that is with everything at airports.

The best coffee at Schiphol. Staff very friendly. You can sit comfortably inside or on the inner terrace.

Sunday, July 12, 1:55 PM: Wow, I'm standing in line and it's my turn, and the blond guy shamelessly helps two girls first who are cutting in line and asking for extra vanilla for their coffee. It's incomprehensible that the guy helps them first, oh yeah, nice girls! Very polite, but not really. That's not how you treat customers!

Sat here for 25 minutes with a menu and nobody took my order. Don't waste your money here.

The croissant was definitely from the day before and there was no service.

Wow, €6.15 for a large cold cappuccino. Too bad, for €6.15 you expect more. I think they froth a large amount of milk at once and then use it for multiple cappuccinos, lattes, etc., instead of frothing the milk for each customer individually.

I tried to order in Dutch, but they just kept speaking English back, which was very annoying. Also, the croissants were a bit soggy. Not a good experience.

I ordered a medium Coffee and what you get is a tiny Coffee of 0.3 /5.5euro

Matcha latte and granola bowl €14.20. Matcha was nice. Granola was fresh, but boring. Atmosphere is lively, not too crowded at 13:45. Will probably come back before next flight.

Stopped by a couple of days ago. Very nice coffee beans, they had all kinds of milk and the service was very friendly.

Literally the worst coffee I've had in my life. Water out of the canals tastes better.

Nearly €5 for a small cappuccino, really tiny bit

The matcha I had cost €5.45 yet was pretty bad…

The reason for the two-star average was that the man behind the bar, who placed all the coffee cups, large and small, around the espresso machine, had his fingers IN the cups. Who knows what he touched! An English-speaking man with tattoos. And for this price, I expect spotless cups and good coffee.

Just don’t go. The food was stale (hard as a rock) and the chai had all foam no chai. (Essentially just foamed milk) It looks vibey but it’s overpriced and not worth it IMHO

I'm almost 100% certain the diarrhea I'm currently experiencing at my holiday destination was caused by the coffee I had. I hadn't eaten much that day. So I wanted a cappuccino to go. Well, initially, I got it in a cup. It happens, but perhaps a little less chatting and joking with colleagues would shift the focus more to the customer. I got it in a paper cup. Ridiculously expensive, by the way, at 8.75 for water and a cappuccino. I supposedly had a "medium" coffee, but I found it considerably weak. Once I arrived at my destination, I stopped going to the bathroom. Something tells me the milk they used wasn't dated. Incidentally, it wasn't on the plaza on the way to my gate B35.

I’m a regular here and usually look forward to stopping by on my way from Schiphol. This morning (16/12/2025), was an exception. I ordered a medium Americano and a cheese croissant. Despite being asked twice if I wanted a plain croissant, I replied twice that I wanted a cheese one. I still received a plain one. When I politely came back to have it corrected, I was told my voice was “too soft” and that if I wanted cheese, I should have said so, apparently twice wasn’t enough. Ironically, a kind colleague of the rude employee listened, stepped in, and solved the problem immediately by replacing the untouched croissant. Well done to whoever hired and trained THAT customer-centric employee.

Schiphol prices, mediocre flat white, bitter and lots of foam

I ordered a medium cappuccino as a Schiphol employee, so I got a 30% discount. I ended up paying €5.35 for a tiny cup, which was bizarre. I didn't see a price list, but based on the price and discount percentage, a medium cappuccino here is €7.64. Shockingly, even more expensive than Starbucks!

The food was tasty, but the staff was unfortunately awful, rude and showed absolutely no respect.

Had a coffee (Americano) at the cart after the gate. Not too surprised by the badly burnt and terribly prepared coffee, it is an airport after all - but the combination that after everything in Gaza, they still serve occupation oatly as oat, and bigly claim to only use plant based milks and then serve chocolate milk from cow soured my mood. Nobody’s perfect (although there are plenty of good alternatives), but why then put up a big sign..?

Ordered a medim cortado, got a small one, tried to discuss it, got a snear. The taste is okay but not award-winning as stated on the door, plus a wait of 12 min doesn't make it worth the while

Really strange service... Some Spanish person or something who absolutely doesn't seem to be interested in her work. She mumbles grumpily and unintelligibly, and I had to repeat it three times, and even then, she entered it incorrectly. Mishearing can happen, but just ask and double-check before typing anything.

The coffee here is STRONG... overcome your jetlag with just one espresso from here. De Koffiesalon cares far more about quality and attention to detail than the nearby alternatives - the emphasis is on local producers, talented baristas and quality equipment. Free tap water is available beside where you collect your coffee. The team was friendly and efficient. Prices are high, even by airport standards.

Arrogant staff serves a cold cappuccino for a lot of money. No croissants ready in the morning. Warning: do not speak Dutch, they don't like it.

I ate a very good and authentic apple pie here at the airport. If you pass by, stop by for a nice breakfast.

There was a large piece and small shards of glass in my mother's coffee... Only after she'd finished her coffee did she notice it and show it to the barista. He apologized, but didn't ask if she was okay. That could have ended badly.

Let's have a nice coffee... I thought. Espresso macchiato looked fine, but I stirred it and thought, "Hey, is there sugar in it???" Well, it didn't taste sweet, so I drank it down. To my surprise, the whole bottom was covered in shards of glass 😕. But I have no idea if I'd swallowed any. I took the cup and glass back to the counter, and the guy was shocked too, but no apologies or anything like, "How are you doing?" or "Get a new one?" Since I was on my way to my vacation destination, I boarded the plane with a bad feeling, and now I'm not sure if everything is "okay" with my stomach and intestines.

Great coffee for an airport (and pretty good all round)

Even though you'd probably going to have better coffee somewhere else, this is most likely the best option for coffee before you head off in Schiphol. The coffee is decent, but it is a nice place to sit down and chill before you face the craziness of checking in to your flight. I like the big wooden table in the middle if you need a bit more space to do your things like I do.

"Crazy good homemade carrot cake." That's how they describe their carrot cake. I disagree; I found it a bit dry. The cheesecake was small for the €5.25 you pay, and not particularly tasty either. Too bad! The cappuccino is good. The chai latte is very spicy, even a bit spicy. On the way home, I can still taste the spice in my mouth. It seems like cloves dominate the flavor of the chai latte. We spent a little over €20.

10 stars for the staff. Super friendly, relaxed, and attentive to the traveling customer. It feels like you're completely immersed in an airport. The coffee is excellent, and the croissants are just as good. Yes, the prices are a bit high, but Schiphol itself is exorbitantly expensive.

The crossiants here are so good! I enjoyed my flat white too. Great place to chill for a bit before you catch your flight.

High quality coffee made with an authentic coffee machine. If you are fan of the old fashion way of making the coffee than this is the place to be. Team is very helpfull.

Nothing special. Just regular Italian coffee and a small cup of cappuccino for €4.15; However, it tastes better than coffee from a powder-based vending machine.

Today (July 18, 2025) I ate at HMSHost Schiphol Airport Station Del 1. For a simple lunch (filet americain bagel, smoked salmon bagel, Heineken, orange juice), I paid a whopping €33.50. Ridiculously expensive for what you get. Unfortunately, it was not only expensive but also not fresh. The bagels tasted old and dry, as if they had been sitting around for a while. For these prices, you would at least expect fresh produce. This was more of a disappointment than a meal. The staff was friendly, but that didn't make the food any better. I definitely wouldn't eat here again. Schiphol or not, this just doesn't add up.

Matcha is full of grains of improperly mixed matcha. If you don't have the time, don't sell matcha.

Tried to order a matcha, but unfortunately… Bitter and strong. They just don't prepare it properly with boiling hot water, while matcha should be set at a maximum of 80 degrees. If you can't make it right, just take it off the menu. Really a shame for the price you pay.

The ordering system does not work. When you order a coffee, you don't know which coffee is yours. Just like others who order a coffee, you have to find out for yourself which coffee is yours. And if you ask the employees where your coffee is, they tell you to pay attention to which coffee is yours. It is not that difficult to set up a number system. It works at Starbucks and it is often even busier there.

I work at Schiphol and come here regularly. There are always new staff and things usually move very slowly here. Recently I accidentally got a cappucino with regular milk instead of oat milk. For some people that would be a real disaster (allergic to milk, for example). Positive: once you have your drink it is always very tasty.

Quite dirty, both behind the bar and on the tables. “Chai latte” listed under “coffee with milk” was not chai-flavored coffee but some funny powder. Good thing the employees changed it for actual coffee after request.

The baristas were the sweetest people with my girlfriend who was not feeling good, the best welcome to the Netherlands.

4.15 for a baby sized cup of foam. When I first picked it up, I thought they’d forgotten to put the coffee in.

For a place that boasys about having great coffee, I found my flat white cold, tasteless and uninspiring.

Americano coffee, banana cake, and biscuits are all ordinary... It's suitable for sitting at the airport while waiting for your flight. The table is very big. Very suitable for using the computer for a while But the coffee and food are just average. The store is located on B1

Delicious freshly made coffee and cake. Had a nice sit on the terrace. Prices are high and waiting times are long. But quality is fine.

Nice coffee bar at the train station of Schiphol airport. It’s a sort of “bar in shop”. Nice (hip-chique) open atmosphere and friendly staff. The only thing is that they are not super quick in preparing the coffee and food. I had to remind them of the whipped cream with my apple pie and had to ask whether my grilled cheese was ready (after more than 15 minutes, it had already cooled down again). The supposed grilled cheese should be prepared with matured cheese, but rather seem to taste like “belegen” cheese and there was unexpectedly mustard in it. The rates were quite high, but that comes with having food and drinks at the airport and inflation in the Netherlands in general.

Koffiesalon Plaza at Schiphol Airport is a satisfactory spot for relaxation before a flight, with a decently priced toastie and banana bread set. The apple tart was just alright. But you can't go too wrong with that and whipped cream. The ambiance is inviting, but the food is unremarkable, and the banana bread is notably dry. Overall a decent place to chill considering the dearth of options in the airport.

Cozy, service is quick and really tasty. Spacious rooms.

I ordered latte to go, but barista made it in regular glasses by mistake. Then when he realised that, he just poured coffee over in to go cup. After that coffee just tasted like a regular coffee with milk, all foam was gone. Does not worth 10 euros.

Love the atmosphere made electric by their staff. I ordered a latte and it was made wonderfully. It was made by Emilija, we had a delightful conversation while she was making my latte and must say the staff is well versed and educated. You can see they really care about their customers and put love into their work! Definitely reccomend!

This is my go-to spot for a cappuccino at Schiphol before catching the train. Serves properly in a ceramic cup, of course. Their yogurt with fresh fruit is also a good choice if you have one of those early morning arrivals.

Looking for a place away from the crowdy fastfood we found this cloth?bag?cushion? shop where is also the "Koffiesalon". You can recharge your phone here as well use 220 for your laptop. We ordered a bread with a spicy tuna salad and 2 cappuccino's. 14 euro is a lot but actually quit common here at Schiphol. The staff is friendly & helpful. Free self service sparkling & still water. Further you can order all kind off healthy stuff, fruits and even products fresh from their own bakery. See photos. The tuna salad was delicious as the cappuccino's. While enjoying the less stressed environment we were surprised to read the negative comments about this Koffiesalon because for us it was a pleasant stay while waiting for our flight.

The coffee in the Plaza coffee shop tastes great, the service is also good and the staff is friendly. The salon is now located at Schiphol, which means that it is busy and restless, especially during holiday periods. Otherwise a great place for a nice cup of coffee. Like all of Shiphol, the prices are on the high side, but you know that when you are at the airport.

Today I came again like everyday, now it’s more than week , the manager in first day promised that I gonna get - always the type of coffee which I want, this very simple, i ask latte with soja milk and creamy foam without bubbles , and what I get today very hot coffee that I can’t drink . Thanks a lot for your attitude to regular client . 5€ go to garbage 🗑️! This is not normal ! If your employer not barista , why you present that your coffee salon is professional place. ! She not offer change my coffee, but I have all right get other one ! I not ask cause , I do t want spend my money in place where nobody care ! You employer don’t know about how make coffee ! Only for tourists who will drink everything, if you give milk with water they will happy also . Chao !!!!

Delicious cappuccino and also delicious chocolate cookie. Friendly barista. Atmosphere is okay, it is in the arrival hall of Schiphol, I was happy to be able to sit for a while.
