If the staff were as good as the food, this place would have deserved five stars. I have been coming here for quite some time and spend well over €100 a month. That is precisely why it is extra disappointing how I was treated today. Before I ordered, I asked if I could eat inside. According to the staff, that was no problem at all. I even indicated that I would be back in about fifteen minutes. When I returned ten minutes later, it turned out my food had already been packed up, and I was told that I had to take it with me because they were closing. If I had been told that beforehand, I simply would not have ordered. Afterward, I was told that I could eat inside after all, but they would start cleaning around me and wait for me until I was finished. That made me feel very uncomfortable. I want to be able to eat in peace, not feel like I have to rush because the staff is waiting for me. I then asked for my money back. That was refused twice at first. Eventually, they were willing to give the money back after all, but at that moment, I said that it was no longer necessary. I subsequently gave the food to someone else outside who could really use it. I pointed out that they would lose a regular customer this way. I spend well over €100 a month here, just like my friend and my cousin. The owner's response was: "We don't need that €100 of yours." I found that disrespectful. My response was: "Do you dare say that to all your other customers as well?" It is a real shame, because if the staff had been as good as the food, this place would undoubtedly have deserved five stars. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that I will not be coming back here.

Delicious food, the chicken curry sandwich is very flavorful and not dry at all. I would definitely go back again.

Cheap, but absolutely no flavor in the nasi. My simple fried rice with an egg and a little soy sauce has more flavor.

Came for 5 sandwiches and explicitly asked for extra pepper. Friendly conversation. But this place isn't the place to go for sandwiches. Maybe other dishes, though. Taking the order was a bit slow, and everything was answered with "yes, okay," as if no one was paying attention. The lady was simultaneously taking online orders. (If one can multitask, that is of course absolutely great.) It took a bit longer; busy times happen. I also ordered pancakes. The lady set the pancakes aside. The shop was getting quite full, so that must be a good sign. - Eventually, I received my order assuming it was complete. Once I left and was in the car, I realized the pancakes were missing. Went back again. The lady indicated I had forgotten; no problem. I left with a smile again. - sandwich fillings were meager, sorry there was only filling in the middle of the bread - fillings very salty chicken curry and hearts gizzards, just salt - naturally no extra pepper either - the only plus point was “pancakes were tasty”

On May 1st, I ordered two chicken bami and one chicken nasi, but unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The bami was overcooked and had virtually no flavor, and the nasi wasn't anything special either. The food is highly praised on TikTok, so my expectations were high, but my experience didn't come anywhere near that. Honestly, the food at Warung Mini is much better.

I don't even want to give 1 star, I find this so awful! Claiming they can cook Surinamese food, a disgrace to Surinamese cuisine! And then your price? Life is hard enough already, but ripping people off like this??? The nasi just tasted like butter with salt; I have cubes of white rice in my ‘Nasi’ myself. I just spent €61 and it was completely tasteless! BBQ chicken? It is what you call BBQ chicken, no taste. Peanut sauce??? Did they put half a teaspoon in it? Dear De Suri’s, please deliver what people pay for! Or hire another chef, because this is just too much. And don't delete my comment on Instagram without giving a reply back!! Because you don't mess with Surinamese food with me!!

You pay so much, but then get very meager food. The waitresses look to see who you are first, and then it seems like your food is served even more sparingly. They aren't worth any stars!

The Suri..... Intrigued by the fun TikTok videos, I traveled all the way from Almere to The Hague to try it out... I was kindly received by a nice young lady, ordered half a nasi and bami speciaal, a dawet, and a piece of fiadu. In my opinion, it was delicious; all in all, I give it a 9 out of 10. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The food was sour. The Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority needs to come by and shut this place down. How can you sell spoiled food? From now on, I'll walk a few meters further for takeout from the Chinese restaurant that has been providing consistent quality for years and is cheaper too.

Dear, I called yesterday for two saotos and a koelit. The woman on the phone only asked if anything was needed in the saoto, not what size. When we got there, she charged €32 for everything, which was shocking for such a low price. It was very rude of her to charge the most expensive size for the saotos without even asking. The store was quite busy, so talking to them seemed awkward. However, we called today, and the person who answered didn't even seem interested in this and was very curt in saying that there was nothing they could do about it.

Bara was as hard as a brick, tasteless, and way too expensive. The woman behind the counter needs a smile-smiling course, by the way. She was grumpy as hell. You'll instantly lose all interest in your food.

It was the first time but the sandwiches were Sweety, so I quickly tried something different

I came specifically for a portion of crispy sausage.... I'd heard so much about it... 10 euros...a small container... And it looked so good... But alas... The sausage was ice cold and tasteless. I should have gotten a curry chicken sandwich or something because everything in the display case looked delicious. Next time, I'll just stick to what I read. The staff is super friendly, though, and the place looks cozy!

I'm giving it 2 stars. I had a really good meal at Sato. I'm taking food home: 2 noodles and 1 nasi (cold)! At my own request. Sorry, the food tastes awful. I thought maybe they forgot to prepare it or something. No, I called, and that's how our food tastes. Disappointing 👎👎

I drove all the way from Zoetermeer to The Hague specifically for four rotis: three without pepper and one with pepper. Unfortunately, I received the exact opposite. My children couldn't eat with me, and most of the meal ended up in the trash. When I reported this, I received no acknowledgement and was told the order was correct. It's a shame it ended in a heated argument without a proper resolution. A disappointing experience.

Today we ate berkat from De Suri, it was delicious! And the portion of €45,- was more than enough, so more than enough for a family of 4. Only there was little goedangan (vegetables with coconut sambal) but otherwise nothing to complain about. The staff is also friendly.

1 star is still too much, don't get anything here, those good reviews are people who don't know anything, filthy ballet!!! Sad beyond words and the reputation of Suriname

Shameless staff works here! I ordered food for a larger group (30 people). Both nasi and bami. When picking up, it was already noticeable that the containers were small and the content of food also for this number of people. With normal average portions, I already expected that I would not be able to do this because the food is not sufficient in terms of quantity. This turned out to be the case in the evening, unfortunately. In addition, the pickles were scandalously little. A measly container "filled" with cucumber and red onion. The container with tomato in it was even meager. This could only be used to top about 10 portions. I immediately politely indicated this, to which I was responded to arrogantly and grumpy, both verbally and non-verbally. That girl behind the cash register has no decency at all. She was adamant that this would be enough and that they always calculate it that way in terms of quantity. When I indicated that this was really too stingy for words and that it would not be sufficient for the number of portions, a mini container of cucumber could be added with great difficulty. So no extra onion and tomato. The mixed vegetables that are served with it are soggy and tasteless. In short, worthless! The chicken is the only thing that was tasty. I would never, ever order food here again. And the "ladies" who work here need to take a crash course in how to deal with customers!! Originally this was supposed to be 30, but after some cancellations this became 25, which is why this number still stood out to me. But for the number of 25 people for whom it was ultimately for, the food was not sufficient. My above review is based on the number that was ultimately ordered from you. Last Sunday we bought 2x special noodles, Saoto large with egg, patties, spring rolls and bakabanas with peanut sauce to eat at home. The food was very tasty and very generous portions. Nice people, everything looks clean and hygienic. Highly recommended!

Had a delicious saoto at De Suri after a visit to the Hague market. The food was delicious!!

The TikTok hype and good marketing made me curious... Pom Burger still gets a passing grade. The sandwiches are worthless, the toppings taste like nothing, and pay attention to the way the sandwiches are cut. The bread is also not fresh, probably left over from yesterday? Not even in the middle but diagonally so that less topping can be placed on it. Then we go to the BBQ chicken, you pay extra for sauce separately, then that doesn't happen. The chicken charsieuw is too salty, hot chicken is not spicy. BBQ mix chicken did not come from the BBQ, it was just soya chicken which was also not well seasoned. You pay the top price, but investing normal bread turns out to be difficult

The food was very tasty, you can taste that it is fresh and the delicious spicy peanut sauce is highly recommended!

Just got some bami special, I might as well go to the Italian, got dry spaghetti with nothing in it instead of bami, also the satay that came with it almost cost my teeth, hard and dry, the only thing that was good were the 2 pieces of chicken, I know one thing about me, they won't be making any money again anytime soon

I come from the middle of the country to De Suri! I always get very friendly help and the food is delicious! If I have to choose a favorite, it will be difficult. But I always take a saoto, nasi with bbq, filled bara, chicken curry sandwich. And now I have also tried the Pomburger. Yes mang!! If I lived closer, I would not cook anymore!!

Hi de Suri, On December 13 I bought 2 large buckets from you. 1 banana and 1 peje. When I opened the bottle at home, it was only a little more than half full. The banana was completely full. Both were very tasty, but I thought it was a shame because I didn't have enough for my guests. I tried to contact you via Facebook but you are not responding to my messages.

Unfortunately not worth the hype. Very slow service even though it was quiet. Of course there is no parking, but that is not the fault of the restaurant. Poorly wrapped, the pomburger was completely soggy because of the sauce on the fries. Nasi was mediocre, meat very dry, satay same. Sandwiches were not fresh, as well as the toppings (Dynamite). Best high prices and if you want extra pepper it costs 50 cents for a small container. All in all, not worth repeating for us. Very unfortunate, if there was a little more customer focus and better food quality/prices, it could have been a success.

Been a few times before and tried the meals. It's delicious! Not very hungry today so we chose sandwiches. Bakkeljauw and Heart Stomach Sandwich, sambal could be even spicier for my taste, but it was really tasty. Nothing to complain about, thank you and see you next time!❤️

Food could have had a little more flavor, I honestly expected more.

Today November 7, 2024 a portion of rice with brown beans and chicken price €13. Add garter €2. Came home, opened it and was shocked. Very poorly packed, too few brown beans, small container half full and few long beans. I had to wait quite a long time for my order, even though I was the only customer. The lady who packed the order, she is quite young, is very rude. Not customer friendly at all. I wouldn't recommend people go there to get food. And especially don't let such a young chick work in the shop, she is really slow!!!

I got a acute diarrhea twice after eating here. My GP informed me it must have the chicken. They serve fast and staff is friendly.

The business opened a year and a half ago. Tasty baka bana and saoto. The chicken spring roll is also recommended.

I had the BBQ chicken with fries and fried rice. The chicken and nasi were delicious, especially with the peanut sambal. The Russian salad was unfortunately a bit disappointing as it had very little flavour. Not sure if I'll take that again next time.

Sws the best suri in The Hague, the tejo with bakkeljauw was great. All homemade drinks are recommended and the roti lamb is the best

When they first opened the food was very tasty and fresh. Today the telo was really greasy. It looked like it was double fried. The noodles were tasty, but we got 3 back pieces of meat, which had almost no meat on them. Viadoe had a nice taste, but very dry. The saoto also had a very bland taste. Shame! In addition, we ordered online at 3:15 PM to pick it up at 4:10 PM, but we still had to wait another 20 minutes. I hope you take the feedback seriously, because you are very friendly people... it would really be a shame. We will come back again, because it can also be a less day. Just got 2 nasi. Not satisfied, nasi tasteless. Received 3 back pieces. I was there a few months ago and had a good meal, that's why I went there again.

Very cozy little place. This is truly a unique little restaurant 100% worth trying. I happened to be in the area, I wanted something to snack on, I'm very glad I stopped by. I ordered a chicken egg roll of some sort and fried plantain. Both came out hot and fresh. It seems like they prepared it after you order so it does take a while but you'll surely get em fresh. I wish I was more hungry so I can try other dishes on the menu, because I saw what other people were ordering and they all look pretty tasty. A truly unique food experience, I hope this little place does well so they can expand, therefore more people will have the chance to enjoy their foods.😋

Gisteravond een Telo Barbecuekip afgehaald, daar waar de cassave perfect gebakken is en het vlees lekker mals is. Niet te ontbreken is de huisgemaakte pindasambel. Bakabana, pastei, loempia etc. all homemade. Goed op smaak, mooie porties en betaalbaar. De Suri is zeker een aanrader.

Dit zijn al de3e eigenaar/ries, ik weet,ik kom al zolang hier,vooral als ik naar de markt gaan. Eten het zelfde zoals altijd lekker, alleen..ik mis die gebakken nate uien en saoto mix zoals bij hoor er(bij WM). Ik kom weer hier terug hoor. ☺️

De Suri, authentiek surinaams/javaans eten! Eten wordt vers bereid door de kok. Wat een leuk knus restaurant met een tropisch tintje! Een aanrader. Wij komen zeker terug!

Javaanse rijstschotel “Berkat” besteld nadat ik dit op Facebook zag langskomen. 1bak voor 3 personen. Ik heb na lange tijd de authentieke smaak van deze Surinaams javaanse schotel geproefd. We hebben gesmuld van het eten. Echt en aanrader. Ga zeker nog langs voor de overige gerechten op het menu.

De bami met BBQ-kip en de Telo zijn echt aanraders. Je proeft dat het vers is en met liefde is bereid!

Hands down best in the hague, tried most, but the bami here made me jump for joy. Balanced flavours, tender chicken, perfectly rendered sate, proper sambal, flavourfull pickles, what else would you need? Don’t take my word for it though, try once and be convinced. 🫶🏼
