Midnight Roti Company in Wijk 31 Rustenburg en Oostbroek

I was craving roti. Now, my favorite shop, Nanda's Roti Shop, wasn't on my route. I went to Midnight Roti Shop. They have an order kiosk, which I personally find very unfriendly. I ordered two lamb rotis. The potatoes were mashed potatoes, not long beans but green beans, not lamb but beef, and so terribly salty it was inedible! The pancake was old and reheated. And the price for all this, including two cans of Fernández, was over 65 euros!! Never again! I'll have to make another detour from now on.

it is nice and quiet, nice people who also work there and the food is really delicious, the chicken curry barras in particular are really tasty

Wow, that's terrible! Ordered a roti at 5:36 PM. Received an email at 6:08 PM that the order was on its way. At 6:40 PM, the delivery driver called to say he was stuck in an elevator. You'd expect the food to be cold, wouldn't you? I contacted the store by phone and was treated rudely by the employee. They weren't at all helpful in finding solutions and didn't know where their delivery drivers were. Refunds took 2-3 days. Absolutely terrible service. By 7:20 PM, still no delivery driver, and he never showed up. Hopefully, they'll refund me.

The food is inedible. Then a beast appeared among the potatoes today. Two roti platters cost 42 euros!

Had to wait two hours for an order, which took 20 minutes to arrive. Had to call four times!! Of course, the roti was cold when it was finally delivered. I'll never order from here again! Too bad, because the roti was always good.

Ordered through Uber, delivery took a very long time. We ordered an extra container of cucumbers (€3.50), but it wasn't included. I called them twice, but they simply didn't answer! Really antisocial.

Well, the price of roti has doubled in the last year and a half, way too expensive. I had noodles, and the chicken wasn't cooked through, it was raw.

Have had delicious roti for years, although last time I missed the egg.

It varies. Sometimes the roti is good, other times it's overcooked and too salty. The owner is friendly. Sometimes there are too many young people, which I find annoying. What do you need with football inside? One bar for 3.50 is absurd, that's just not right! The price-quality ratio is disappointing.

What a disappointment this was. I was a regular customer back in 2000-2010, when older people still worked there. Now, your food is prepared by a couple of young men. And the roti was awful; the chicken smelled so bad when I opened it, the sauce was a watery mess, and everything spilled in the car because they couldn't even close a container. The potatoes were literally gone after 3 tablespoons; they use mini containers, of course, and I paid €1550 for them. Then the nasi, another disappointment, another stinking chicken fillet, which I doubt was even chicken. The nasi, again, only 3 tablespoons of what was in it and was also smeared with watery sauce. I paid €1650 for it. I'll never spend my money here again. The atmosphere, oh well, the young men are on their phones, and friends come in cheerfully, but they have absolutely no interest in the customers. What a decline for a place that really had a reputation in the early 2000s. Nothing left of it. I could have gotten three dishes from the Chinese for €25, enough to last me for three days, and it was really fresh and plentiful. Apparently, Indian hygiene practices have been imported here. Seriously, they'll never see me again, and I'll never write a review, but this is just ripping people off.

Old junk what you get to eat here, all junk for your money You just see different chopsticks, that says enough about the unprofessional way of working and that they don't care that you eat old junk

Got roti chicken fillet in yellow goo...no taste of masala curry...last time I went

Today I ordered two roti chicken fillet together with my partner, the taste and such was all fine! But apparently it was not good!!! Now it results in both of us hanging over the toilet, vomiting, stomach ache, diarrhea... Both seriously ill on the couch now! This is really not possible!! I would definitely not recommend getting or ordering food here.

Ordered here more often where I want to make a positive but also a really negative comment! What is positive is that the food (sometimes) tastes good and tasty. This really depends on which chef is there and how busy they are. Chicken fillet is sometimes just cooked in hot water and not even fried! So unappetizing but oh well you just eat it. Then a negative comment. Previously ordered saoto soup. Well half had already leaked in the bag. Sorry Rotibode, but you are not going to put water in a cardboard container. It leaks! Please spend more money on packing! Then today ordered a nasie chicken fillet. Half of the tarkari (gravy) is in the bag. When opening it turns out that the tarkari side was not properly sealed. How difficult is this? See the photos. Conclusion: I understand that you want to make money but you are feeding people! Would you do this with your own family or your children? Please go and do your job normally, nonsense. I am still somewhat satisfied but I also don't want to spend too much money on them for these small stupid mistakes. O MY GOD!!!!

Been ordering here for years. If you're lucky, you'll have the best roti ever, with a delicious, thick, flavorful sauce to go with your meat. If you are unlucky, your meat will swim in a kind of yellowish water. Ordered the veggie today. 10 meager pieces of tofu and mainly potato. Why is there no sauce with the tofu, why is it so little and why do I pay almost 15 euros for this? I've found the variable quality and slow delivery irritating for a while, but after this order I'm done with it. They are not friendly or customer-oriented either, but I was used to that.

Roti lamb was simmered for at least two hours too short, it was tough and I also missed an egg and acid.

Bad service! I called immediately after placing my order to ask if the bean sprouts could be left out of the saoto soup due to pregnancy. A great thing when it comes to roti. I haven't come across a roti shop near where I live that can match this food. Super tasty and when I have to go to The Hague I always make sure I get food here.

Unfortunately, the prices have increased dramatically for Roti lamb. The option to eat-in isn't very welcoming. Instead of taking your order at the counter one must use their touch screen ordering system.

For 40€!!! Ordered 2 rotis and noodles. The noodles were super tasty, but the vegetarian roti was only potato and long beans and then the roti. No egg, no tempeh, no taste, where we always had this before. The chicken roti was bland and little chicken. Very unfortunate because it was our favorite.

Don't get food here! Ordered food for 6 people and did not even receive 1 cup of pepper. Called them and they say pepper is not included. Normally you always get pepper with a dish, but never experienced this. Food was very tasteless. Not even worth 1 star

I was helped unsympathetically. But even less so was the food: - the bara was a soggy, greasy snack. - chicken curry sandwich: sandwich was tasty but the chicken curry was not tasty. Very dry and sticky. All together for 8 euros: it really wasn't worth it.

What a great time we had on holiday at this beautiful restaurant, we were there in the afternoon, and the food and service was outstanding, moist succulent food made with love and served with a smile... the four of us had a great time eating excellent food, in the middle of the Hague, the restaurant was clean and tidy, we ate there and made our own atmosphere, even our waitress was laughing her head off.. More please, can't wait to go back, and try more of the menu.. My mouth is watering just thinking about it..

Last week I ordered some Nasi with chicken fillet in soy, but it was extremely salty. Both the Nasi and the Chicken Fillet (and yes, this is made with salty soy) But portions are always good. And also fast delivery. Normally always top (maybe different chef now) But it was a bit too salty, otherwise always tasty, both Roti, Bami and Nasi…. But tastes differ 👍🏻👍🏻 Ordered nasi and noodles again last Sunday, also with 2 rolls and they were delicious again... What poor service at this place, the people who work there think they are the king and are happy to have a discussion with you and show no sympathy or anything. Since when is it normal to treat your customers this way? The food also becomes less and less tasty. Everywhere is cut back, including both the service and the product. Unfriendly staff who simply don't want to help you. A bald gentleman with round glasses spoke to me on the phone and asked me to come to the store to order, because it couldn't be done by phone. Once I arrived, after a long wait, I was told that he could not prepare anything for me. So I went to the business completely for nothing.

They don't understand customer service here. There is no greeting upon entry. Are you waiting to be helped, which doesn't happen, but you apparently have to use a digital cash register to place your order. This is not told to you in a friendly manner either, but instead you are told that it is for that purpose. The food was also mediocre. Overall bad experience.

De prijs voor een roti tegenwoordig vind ik abnormaal. Bij Midnight is het nog goed betaalbaar en krijg je veel. Netjes afgescheiden gerechten. Ze waren iets later wegens drukte en belde daar netjes over op. Kortom; zeer tevreden.

De roti kip gewoon is enorm in prijs verhoogd de laatste drie jaar. Van 5,50€ naar 6,50€ naar 8,50€ en nu 10,50€. Ik vind het hele forse verhoging. De smaak vind ik ook anders het laatste jaar. Hiervoor meer smaak, kruidiger. Nu wat vlakker van smaak. Ik vind het niet meer goed genoeg. Wel te eten natuurlijk.

Simple setting to eat at this busy roti shop. They have for unknown reason decided to change their roti's from chickpeas to potato. WHY?! This was bland and tasteless, together with the spiced yet un-tasty chicken Down to 2 stars for the changing of roti, the slow service and the chicken What a shame, they were excellent a few yrs ago, not any more. Altijd snelle service en lekker eten.

Ik eet zeker al 17 jaar lang roti bij midnight, als het niet langer is. Ik wil alleen roti van midnight. Al een paar keer ergens anders besteld, maar nee. Nu woon ik verder en kan helaas niet bestellen voor alleen mezelf, maar goed vaak halen we het nog wel gewoon op. Ik heb altijd een hele volle bak, meer dan bij andere roti shops. Vaak is het zoveel dat ik er met 2 personen ook nog van kan eten als je een extra blanco roti neemt. Ik zie deze recensies en kan niet begrijpen waar dit vandaan komt. Zelfs mensen die klagen over ziek zijn. Ik ben in de minimaal 17 jaar nog steeds niet ziek geweest en heb heel wat roti gegeten hier. Als het zo slecht zou zijn als men schrijft bestaat deze roti shop echt niet zoveel jaar.

Smaak valt tegen, proefte wel vers maar niet lekker gekruid, de kip was niet mals alsof het kort gekookt is en de kruiden waren niet goed ingetrokken. Het was wel te eten want ik had honger, maar het was wel smakeloos waardoor ik niet echt ervan genoot.

Vandaag weer roti laten bezorgen, Roti,s waren weer super lekker. Goed gekruid, alles was lekker.

Komen al jaren naar tevredenheid bij deze rotishop maar gisteren 3 rotikipfilet en 3 losse roti vellen gehaald, besteld bij die achterlijke bestelzuil zooooo "klantvrienelijk" voor deze kleine zaak!!! Qua smaak was de roti oké maar kipfilet was gortdroog, rotivel verschrikkelijk dik en sommige stukken keihard en de sambal leek wel aangelengd met water dus al met al een gigantische tegenvaller.

Als vegetariër/veganist moet je hier denk ik niet zijn voor je roti. Ik heb hier vega roti speciaal afgehaald en kwam thuis tot de ontdekking dat ik alleen aardappelen/kousenband en ei had gekregen. Geen zuurgoed en geen tempeh/tofu. Het kan natuurlijk zo zijn dat dit een fout is geweest van de kok die dag (ze sloten hierna en kon ze niet meer bereiken) dus als je hier vega wilt bestellen is het misschien handig om van tevoren te vragen wat je allemaal bij je gerecht krijgt want die was (voor de prijs) zeker niet voldoende. Correctie nav reactie eigenaar: Ik had wel degelijk de roti besteld met tempeh. Ik heb namelijk bij de bali aangegeven dat ik hem alleen met tempeh wilde en geen tahoe. Als ik jullie menu mag geloven krijg je “komkommertjes” erbij wat ik had verstaan als zuurgoed dus dan zou je denken dat die er wel echt bij horen..

Roti kip gehaald, de volgende dag 24 uur lang op de wc, extreem diaree, voedsel vergiftiging. Ik had ervoor 48 uur niks gegeten dus 100% komt door die roti. Niet blij mee, met voedsel vergifting heb je 1 op 9 kans om PDS te ontwikkelen en dat is in principe een ongeneeslijke ziekte. GA AUB VERZORGD EN HYGIËNISCH OM MET HET ETEN WAT JE AAN MENSEN VERKOOPT.

Heb roti met kip en kouseband besteld. Roti was hard, kip was lekker, een pond aardappelen en de kouseband moest ik met een vergrootglas zoeken. Geen roti met kip en groenten meer. Teleurstellend!!

Snelle service, prima eten. Prijzen van enkele producten zijn iets gestegen, maar met de economische malaise heb ik daar begrip voor. Er staat nu een scherm bij de balie om digitaal te bestellen en betalen.

Heerlijk gegeten vooral de roti kipfilet en broodje steak zijn een echte aanrader!

Voor mij persoonlijk is dit één van de betere roti zaken. Absolute aanrader.

Na heeeel lang moeten wachten met 1 klant voor me om te bestellen...gaap, wel lekkere roti gegeten.
