WARNING !!!! DON'T GO !!! They are stealing money from the tourists. Wafel 5 euro = price in a'dam BUT for a little pistaccio cream, a few nuts above and a little (very little bit) white cream they charged us 9.5 euro EXTRA . So at the end they charged us 14.90 euro(without a ticket) for 1 NOT FRESH MADE waffle with a little topping. So, there are better and cheaper places close to central station a'dam.

First of all, they have false advertising on how much things are in the shop, as the photos used represent a different product entirely. I ordered churros and the image was of sugared churros and chocolate, however they said it was additional costs for the toppings and the churros, despite the photo, would be plain. Secondly, the churros were not freshly made, only reheated on the hot surface used for crepes. Thirdly, the churros tasted awful. Would never recommend this place. Thought it would be good for a quick bite to eat, but was a complete waste of time.

TOURIST TRAP Run away! Prices aren't clearly displayed, making it impossible to explain the charges at the time of payment. This is a sham business. €20 for a croissant and €12 for a Stroopwaffle, thinking it would be cheaper than elsewhere... You're kidding yourself!! The moment we realized we'd been ripped off, the shopkeeper started taking our picture, afraid we'd leave without paying.

Paid 25 euros for 2 waffles. The waffles I ordered were fresh, but there was an old, tough Kinder Bueno on them that had to be reheated. The other was a chocolate butter croissant, again not fresh, and was also reheated. Disappointing.

We were there today. A waffle without anything on it and a scoop of ice cream cost 10 euros. I thought I was hearing things. Please ask about the prices beforehand so there are no unpleasant surprises. A no-go place for me. Far too expensive.

A filled croissant + a latte = €22.50, a waffle filled with whipped cream = €17.50, and a plain stroopwafel with whipped cream = €10 NO TRANSPARENCY ON PRICES SINCE there are no prices displayed in the window, NONE!! No verbal communication or communication whatsoever about the price of the additions!! (Whipped cream or other toppings) And WORSE THAN THAT, the filling ALREADY INCLUDED on the waffle is charged extra!! I'm giving it one star because I have to, but it's absolutely not worth it. Poor reception, exorbitant prices, nice window display but they try to inflate the price without your knowledge. Churros cooked who knows when and roughly reheated, not good. I don't recommend it.

Don’t go to this place unless you want to suffer the consequences, my friend ordered a bueno cake and it was an absolute abomination. There was mould all over both of the cakes and he said don’t say anything but I’m writing this incase anyone wants to go here, don’t bother it’s horrendous. Hope they go bankrupt and become homeless.

We arrived to very unwelcoming server and asked for a simple order of some traditional Caramel stroopwafles and we got one which didn’t even come with caramel inside it, so was very bland and dry and tasted like a cracker to my mate. Furthermore as tourists we were getting very bad looks from the crepe cooker and the prices we ended getting charged were frankly disgraceful and above what was shown on the boards above.

Delicious, the best in Amsterdam, really recommend if you are in Amsterdam, you must first eat this and then go into the city. A day in Amsterdam is not complete without these delicious waffles.

Purposely try to mislead tourists into paying much more than their mediocre products are worth. Prices are advertised as from €x amount, however when it comes to payment it’s then 2-3x the amount. €12 for a waffle is a joke. ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!!! Did not tell us the price before and when he said it was 12 euro for one stroopwafel we said we didn’t want it and he made us take it became he had “already made it”. Scam place, made us pay 20 euro for 2 waffles

Really bad 37 euros for 2 loaded crepes and waffle. Strawberries were bad after I asked him what was wrong with the strawberries, he threw my waffle in the trash and said he couldn't do anything now just throw it away and I threatened him with the police and my money back. The churrows were way too greasy. I think 6 euros for 5 is a lot of money, but if you want a little bit of chocolate sauce with it you suddenly pay 2.50 extra. Ridiculous. We'll never come here again. Very poor price quality.

Unfortunately I can only agree. Prices not marked well enough. Three crepes for 24 euros. Unfortunately they weren't crepes either. More like pancakes. Then it wasn't clean either. Unfortunately we didn't take a closer look beforehand. Preparation was also rather unhygienic.

Beware tourist trap close to Amsterdam Central! Like many reviewers have stated this place exists to take advantage of tourists. I stumbled into this place without looking at any type of review of the establishment which is unlike me to do. However family wanted something sweet in Amsterdam before leaving and we just happened to walk by here. I paid $39 euros for three waffles - insane! Maybe this would be justified if they were the best I had ever tasted. This certainly was not the case as they had likely sat around all day and reheated - they definately tasted like they were not fresh. The staff was friendly however as I know some have had different experiences. Unfortunately I paid double or triple what I should have for below average waffles - hopefully your reading this and don't have to!

The food was okay, but watched an employee stand outside smoking with gloves on, come in and restock some of the food items, then clean tables using a chemical cleaner and go back to serving food without ever putting a new pair of gloves on.
