It's always a pleasant and delicious lunch in the city center. The kids can play and we can enjoy a sandwich or pastry. Good service and good food.

The food is still going strong. The service is truly awful. I had to return to the table three times to ask what my order was. Then they served me the wrong kind of bread.

What nasty people who work there. We were told that it is not the intention to eat at their table with food from the fish stall across the street. Logical. To which I indicated that we would also order from them; toasted sandwiches, drinks, etc. The lady then said that that was fine. Then another employee from Doppio came to say the same thing. I said that the other colleague had already spoken to us about this and that it was okay because we had also ordered from Doppio. She kept repeating herself. To which we said; what should we do now? And we got the response; I find that very difficult. Then we decided to leave there. I cancelled my order (which took a very long time by the way). The annoying thing about it all is that we asked for a solution and the employee could not come up with anything but kept repeating herself. Bystanders thought it was all strange because they also had food from the fish stall. We were the only ones who were spoken to and eventually bullied away. The toasted sandwiches and all the drinks were thrown away. A waste... Especially in these times. Thanks Doppio!!! Never again.

Very nice owners! Always cheerful and friendly. Despite all the new coffee shops, I prefer to keep coming here. And the chips with the sandwich are also a success.

Long wait for an overpriced cup of coffee

Great place! I come here to read a book and enjoy food and coffee. Italian tosti is amazing, coffee is great as well, but what is even better is cheese cake new york, which is one of the best I have ever had!

Coffee comes with water. When go to them they ask to sit, when sit they don’t come. But coffee is good.

We tried two different cakes and they were way too sweet, rarely cafe’s add so much sugar into food. Italian toasti for was below average (probably close to awful for this price).

What a wonderful place here! I would like to give the staff 10 stars for their friendliness, helpfulness and patience! We had a delicious meal and really enjoyed the atmosphere here. This is definitely recommended and we would love to go back!

I'm in Doppio right now, drinking coffee, and a man, an owner, came up to me and said he heard from his waitresses that I asked for their phone number. He said it's inappropriate and that they don't like it and that I shouldn't do it anymore, and if I have a problem with it, that I should buy coffee and food elsewhere. It was very rude of him. I pointed out to him that I was his client and he had no right to talk to me like that. Especially since I'm not doing anything wrong. That I am alone and polite I ask if she would like to get to know each other and go for dinner together, it's nothing bad or rude. One told that she had a boyfriend and she is in a relationship and I replied to her that I am happy for her, that I congratulated her and that I wished her a nice day. After what I told him, he didn't apologize and just ignored me. What insolence and rudeness. Especially since I'm a regular customer, I've been tipping them, and suddenly I hear something like this. Scandal! A while later I talked to the older waitress about it to find out what she thought about it and she supported his opinion. She said if the girls didn't feel comfortable and safe with it, it was his right to react. I told her that if they don't feel safe, we can call the police now and explain whether what I am doing poses a threat. I deal with much worse, even aggressive clients at work, and if I reported it to my boss that it makes me feel uncomfortable and unsafe, he would recommend me to change my job. This is ridiculous! What is happening to these people and womens in this country. They act like princesses... If they do their job well, but no! One of them can't even speak well in English and had a problem manage my order. The first time I asked for two sugars, she gave me one. No words... At another restaurant, the waitress answered my question wonderfully. She said, she was very pleased that such a handsome gentleman dressed in a suit wanted to meet her, but she is engaged. I congratulated her and thanked her for the compliment. Finally, she added that she would be very pleased if I visited their restaurants more often. This is a professional approach to the client. So the owner should teach his waitresses how to act in such situations, and not criticize and publicly humiliate his customers who pay him money for the service!

Grab a nice cup of coffee and something tasty. Apple pie and sausage rolls are great.

The nice waitress simply reads the entire menu to a couple who asks what sandwiches are available. They may not be able to read well. Super beautiful!!

Super nice place with friendly staff, tasty and special food (breakfast board!) and a great playground for the kids so we could sit comfortably. Go there soon if you haven't been here yet, highly recommended!

If you are tired from shopping, Doppio is definitely recommended for a delicious cappuccino and a pastry.

A great and delicious restaurant! Especially that Italian toast! The staff looks at you and just walks away, but when they help you they are all really super nice! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Okay for coffee and a pastry, but not necessarily the best option in the center of Purmerend.

Really bad experience with doppio....on Thursday we wanted to eat a sandwich here and after a very long wait we asked where our order was because we no longer had time to wait...it turned out that the order had not been sent...but this is possible I thought it would happen... better luck next time... today (Sunday January 29th), my 2.5 year old granddaughter was playing at the slide and there were several children who had a heart balloon... she wanted that too... On the wall at Doppio there was one hanging halfway to the ground, so I took it off for her. I thought that was probably possible (there were a lot of them hanging) and several children were playing with such a balloon, my granddaughter was completely happy... Doppio's employee came and demanded the balloon back from her!! From a 2.5 year old child!!! So my granddaughter had to cry a lot because she had to give it back.!!! I don't think you really have any heart...we will never come to this place again!!

Complete lunch is always good! Delicious Italian toast with orange juice and coffee/tea. Toasti was a bit on the dry side this time, hence the 4 stars haha.

Nice place with tasty pastries and lunch. I ordered the salmon on bread myself and it was tasty, but the salmon was a bit warm as if it had been taken out of the refrigerator for a while. Furthermore, pleasant and fast staff. One downside is that there is a children's slide next to the seats with many screaming children, so you should not come here for some rest.

Went to Doppio today. Nice lunch. Coffee fine. Unfortunately the service was less. 7 people in the kitchen. Had asked for a sandwich for my daughter with butter. For the rest of the food. That arrived late and the butter was frozen. The food came first and was served to one person later. The coffee came later. Bowl that was served spread out. We waited half an hour for lunch. That's a very long time for lunch

Had lunch at Doppio for the first time yesterday. We had the offer of the day. Coffee and cake for 5 euros. There's nothing wrong with that, coffee was tasty and so was pastry. What we found strange is that it was not served together as you would expect. First we got the pastry (it was already gone) then we got the coffee. We ordered a toasted sandwich. We had to wait a very long time for this, with apologies from the friendly chef. To make matters worse, one of the ladies at the counter approached me as I was leaving as if I had not paid. I had paid in advance. So next time.........I don't know.

Good coffee, my companions told me, while I enjoyed plain tap water (because I happened to feel like it). The friendly staff tried very professionally to entice us to purchase extra goodies, but also thought along with us (tap water!). A small line of people quickly formed out of nowhere. I got the impression that this is a popular place that will survive Corona.

Delicious freshly ground coffee, brought by a nice team. At the same time a beautiful view of the buzzing crowd and next to the play hill on the first floor. Centrally located between all the nice shops.

Good coffee. Service is friendly but very slow! Even when it is quiet, it can take up to 15 minutes before someone comes to take an order.

Doppio in the "Eggert" shopping center looks nice and is often pleasantly busy. Personally, I am not a fan of doppio, that complicated system of small, large and larger cups for the coffee that quickly adds up to the bill for a "cup" of comfort. In short, I prefer to walk a little further for a nice cup of coffee or cappuccino, or a sandwich.

Changing controls..... Once in a while it is great, fast and good service. Other times they make you wait longer than fifteen minutes before anyone even comes to you. Or your order is incorrect. A while ago I even had staff drinking coffee a few tables away. And after 20 minutes we got off. Then she walked over to us to ask if we still wanted to order. No thanks, go somewhere else now. Pity! Previously had coffee there regularly, but the last few times it has been very disappointing. Coffee is very tasty!

Cozy and fun upstairs in the Willem Eggert Center. The food and drinks all taste delicious. At certain times you have to be able to handle the crowds of children because there is a play area for small kids adjacent to it.

Just had a delicious tiramisu iced coffee. What a delicious texture that really reminds you of tiramisu. Not cheap, but worth the price. Location is not great.

Nice coffee, a pity that old full-fat yoghurt with fruit/nuts has been removed from the menu and replaced by another sour something...not tasty. Always came for that yogurt. The operator is bossy and not pleasant, said that from now on I should know that the old product will not come back. Apparently me too...

Excellent capuchinno. Occasionally strange staff (forgotten order or not taking order)... if you don't have kids and want to sit quietly, look for another place.

At Doppio Purmerend they not only have delicious coffee and tea. You can also have a nice lunch there. Various tasty sandwiches and also a delicious Italian sandwich. They also serve regular toasted sandwiches for the children. Next to the terrace there is a play area for children.
