I ordered 1 stroopwafel. The man charged 9.99 euros! I could not/was not allowed to see the amount on the bancontact. Scandalous!

They are fraud. They charged us 6€ per stroopwafel and 12€ for a strawberry tart that isn’t worth the price at all. The don’t have price tags for the sweets. Avoid this place at all costs!!

Excellent baguettes with choice of fillings and excellent customer service even though shop assistant was by herself. 2 baguettes and coke = 17 euros. Nice seating area at the back. Plenty of desserts available as well as special ‘cakes’ and similar products.

Big scam in terms of prices, a smoothie + a cookie = 16€?!!! Only the price of the smoothie was specified, the arrogant staff made me believe that the cookie was €10… Don’t even go there, no morals!

Probably the worst coffee I’ve ever paid for.

The best part of this place is looking with your eyes. Tasting with your mouth is a real let down. Not horrible. But definitely not good.

Pastries looked great but decided on a sandwich. Great baguette -fresh - with ham, cheese and cucumbers with truffle mayo - warmed. Excellent. Would come here again! PS: nice area in back to sit comfortably while we ate. 2 sandwiches and a bottle of water = 17 € 👍🏻

They charge us more for being tourists and on top of that they treat us as liars for telling them that the marked prices are not the ones charged. I think it's a shame that quarter-final decision.

We visited this bakery enticed by the display of cakes in the window shop. We ordered two waffles and were charged a whopping 24 euros. The waffles were tough, so hard that even the fork broke trying to pierce them. I couldn't finish them; they seemed like they had been sitting out for days. I felt ripped off. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the waffles were priced at 6.50 each. That means we were charged double the advertised price. The place was also very dirty, adding to the disappointment of our experience. Beware of this place, tourists.

Loved this little place. Food and sandwiches are made with heart and are tasty. I’m visiting from the states and this place made me feel home. Try the caprese :)

This place is ridiculous and an utter joke. No prices were listed and I ended up paying 24 euros for two drinks and a small pastry. We got served lukewarm drinks with mouldy tapioca, and when we confronted her about it she started acting like she didn’t speak English. The atmosphere was stuffy and it literally stinks like feet in there, and on top of all that we got served by the rudest member off staff I’ve ever met. I do not recommend going here because you basically get scammed and walk out smelling like toes. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

Scammers. 6.50 EUR for 5 churros but they charge you 8 EUR. When confronted they say there is a 1.50 EUR supplement for the chocolate, eventhough this is no where to be seen. STAY AWAY 👍

The chocolate cake I had is very good, a little dry. The waffle with chocolate and oreo and kindergarten is very delicious. Apart from the fact that the place was dirty, tables were dirty and not cleared, at first we ignored this issue, but when they gave us the food, which we ordered churros, they put it on us burnt and they wanted to scam us with the price. We also ordered coffee and hot chocolate which were terrible, they were more water than anything else.

We ordered 2 coffees, 2 sandwiches and 2 waffles, all for €40 and the quality was frozen processed, not to mention the coffee was worthless for that price (3.5 each coffee size like a Cortado). Furthermore, the service is disappointing, you spend a fortune expecting to eat delicious food and in a good atmosphere at least and the men at the bar are really blunt and dry, working in front of the public the least is a little kindness. Toen we weggingen toch even op het bord gekeken: cappuccino en chocomel allebei €3,50 dus ook maar even naar de gebakprijs gevraagd. Verkoper riep nonchalant €8,- ACHT euro voor een zielig gebakje! En €16,- plus €7,- is nog altijd €23,- en geen €25,- !! Amsterdam of niet, wat een vuile oplichters! Bah!

Don't eat here! First of all, I paid 6 whole euros for an APPLE FLAP!!! I only found out how expensive it was after I paid. I then asked about it (after seeing my statements) and the man said he didn't know and that I had to ask at the cash register. After a conversation, the staff said that the apple turnover costs 6 euros. Ridiculous! My friend had a sandwich for 7 euros and it contained a piece of plastic! We will never come back here again. I advise you not to do this either.

En vez de 10€ veo que has cobrado 11€ sin decir nada. Los churros recalentados en un horno muy justitos de calidad para el precio que tienen. Dificultades para entenderse con el personal en inglés. Al menos sirvieron rápido y el local estaba limpio.

Trop cher pour ce que c’est ! Le cake au nutella avait un goût de crevette. Le reste a été jeté par la fenêtre avec passion. Une immondice. 2,50€ un pain au chocolat ? Laissez-moi rire. Bref, FUYEZ. Même Starbucks Coffee coûte moins cher pour de meilleurs produits. Certains produits ne sont pas affichés (ni leur prix) alors qu’ils sont présents en boutique. Le personnel rigole quand on cherche un nom pour ses gâteaux parce qu’ils ne sont pas affichés. Le pain au chocolat croissant était correct, pas fifou et cher. See you never.

Delicious fresh , great range of breads with various fillings of your choice, deserts were fab and so many to choose from, it was food heaven. Great range of soft drinks, and teas/coffees etc. Lovely happy, friendly people working here made us so welcome.

Echt een super lekker belegd broodje. Op de menukaart staat wel een andere prijs, maar is niet te verschillend. Sommige prijzen zijn wel echt hoog, voor de wafels bijvoorbeeld. Het broodje Caprese is echter zeer zeker wel aan te raden en er werkt vriendelijk personeel!

The experience at the Dutch Bakery was weird. I ordered a sandwich for breakfast and the man at the counter asked me to sit at a table. He would bring me the sandwich when done. After a while of not receiving anything I reminded the man about not having received the sandwich. He was surprised and told me he had served it. I said not to me. He probably gave my sandwich to another costumer, which can happen. But he did not remember he said he would bring it to my table, and when he finally brought it, checked whether I had remains from sandwich. Weird and really awkward situation. Very short memory from the man at the counter, or perhaps his mind somewhere else, away from the Dutch Bakery.

We came for breakfast as all other cafés were still closed early in the morning. We had the apple pie, cappuccino and a green tea. The interior is outworn and obviously not cared for. The glass cup for my tea was also dirty and not in good condition. Surprisingly, the apple pie was good. But we didn't dare to order the other stuff as it didn't look fresh at all. The male staff was there alone but not really friendly. We smiled a lot when ordering but got pretty short emotionless reactions from him.

Super friendly staff and the perfect place to grab a quick breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend the hazelnut creme latte (:

We found the churros greasy. The waffle was dense and seemed to be made of cake batter. The macaron filling was also quite dense and over powered the delicate cookie. It also had an off taste. Aside from the macaron, one in my group finished their treats and we usually adore baked goods.

I recommend only coming here for the ciabatta’s which are AMAZING. For 5€, you can get a generously-filled sandwich (including meat options). Eat like a local, and don’t bother buying any of the stale waffles other reviewers have written about - these are purely to attract and scam tourists. Just walk further into the shop and you will find the ciabatta area.

Buen sitio para comer algo rico cerca del Mercado de las Flores de Amsterdam. Nosotros compramos bebidas para llevar: café latte, chocolate caliente y chai latte. Todo rico, pero el chai en concreto estaba muy muy bueno con su espumita y caliente. El servicio fue muy amable e impecable, hasta nos hablaron en castellano (la chica que nos atendió en barra, es brasileña y muy simpática con los clientes, una vez probamos el sitio ya no quisimos parar en otro. Muito obrigada!

Don't understand why there's negative reviews here. Small place with lotsa choices, good place to rest your feet for some coffee and cakes. Sandwiches looked good as well, but I came for toilet break. Dog friendly, friendly staff. Seems like we made a good choice supporting local businesses like this.
