We stopped in one evening on a walk after the place was recommended and got some great service and help selecting a cocktail and we were not disappointed. We ended up with two excellent, interesting, and balanced cocktails, the Koko Klapa (passion fruit but not too sweet) and the Duiven Op De Dam (grapefruit and butters balanced this one nicely). A great experience. Would absolutely recommend.

Exceptional little cocktail bar with a great atmosphere. The server was very friendly and helpful and even though my friend and I were in a rush they made an effort to serve us quickly and not make us feel bad about it. Would highly recommend.

Service is 1000/10. Staff were really nice, the bartender is so friendly and Ola was very nicr to explain the menu to us and recommended very good drinks. The Genever Category Flight is a good start to taste different Genever, they will provide 3 cups to taste from young tonold Genever. We also tried the Koko Klapa which has a cute passion fruit on top, taste is very good and interesting, we also got ipa and pilsner beer. They have more choices for cocktail I wish we had more time to try the rest, snacks are also provided. Highly recommended here and will definitely come back, staff is friendly and superb!

I came here 2 weeks ago with my friend and it is by far the best cocktail bar I have ever been to. We came here for 2 nights in a row and the cocktails were amazing as well as the staff! I would like to give a huge shoutout to Yung who served us both nights and to Luca who was behind the bar, both of them were lovely and provided an amazing service! I Would definitely recommend coming here and getting the Dutch Courage Cocktail and I will absolutely come back next time I am in Amsterdam!

My friend and I were looking for a place to grab some cocktails and stumbled upon this bar. Even without a reservation, we were offered a great seat by the window. The staff was very friendly and easy to talk to, and they were happy to answer any questions. The cocktail menu is diverse, with something for every taste. It will definitely be hard not to stop by whenever we’re in the area again.

They're fun to talk to and go above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable time. Whether it's offering expert suggestions for your drink or giving a sneak peek into the bar's history and stories of Amster-damn, their passion shines through. ​We originally intended to stay for just one drink, but we ended up staying until the place closed! The night was filled with laughter and beautiful conversations. ​I highly recommend this place if you want to unwind, forget about life for a bit, and indulge in some delicious cocktails crafted by true professionals.

We weren’t sure what to get and the bartender was super nice to suggest us two cocktails that we never tried before and we were happily surprised. The bartenders were super friendly and welcoming. As soon as you enter the door they offer you a glass of water with their special aroma in it. Beautiful experience. Definitely a bit pricy.

Came in after my birthday dinner for cocktails with a massive cake and no utensils. The staff was super sweet and accommodating and made me a birthday shot. Shout out to the sweet pink hair bartender and the bartender with bangs, freckles and a septum ring. You guys were everything and my friend and I will never forgot the experience you gave us in Amsterdam. The cocktails were also next level. This bar was also so charming and cozy. Strongly recommend.

We popped in on a Saturday night and we were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. We eventually moved to the bar, which completely elevated the expertise! We sat in front of the bartender and so we got to chat with him quite a bit. He recommended some cocktails and we ended staying longer than we anticipated! I highly recommend the kesbeke martini! The music was great, the environment was cozy, and the team was friendly! Definitely make a reservation or try to stop in if you’re in the area.

Great cocktails featuring local flavors and ingredients. The seasonal menu (visited November and December 2025) was interesting and delicious, and Luca and Alessia were delightful mixologists and hosts!

The cocktails were amazing which were done by Yung. I got the Kletskop, which was super tasty. The service and the cozy environment made everything even better. Martijn was extremely attentive, constantly checking on us and making amazing suggestions for our drinks. He was super friendly and we had good conversation which added to overall welcoming environment of the bar. This bar was a perfect spot to get drinks which was enhanced by Martijn’s friendliness and Yung’s amazing cocktails.

I walked in and the bartender, who didn't speak Dutch, immediately told me there wasn't a place for us... say hello first? Unfortunately, we did find a spot, which meant we had to watch the grumpy bartender for a while longer.

The male bartender was really inconvenient, but the female bartender was kind to us. It wasn't a good experience.

Cocktails are expensive but very yummy and creative. Service was fantastic. My water glass was never empty. Great vibes and good music.

Cozy atmosphere, you get free snacks and water with bitters (makes it really tasty). The service is excellent, your water is constantly refilled, and the people are friendly and chatty. Always a pleasure to come back.

A great spot for craft cocktails - excellent drinks, bartenders and ambiance. A good local Dutch experience with a wide selection of genever served in different formats (flights, cocktails, etc). Also has tons of other options and knowledgeable bartenders for custom drinks. The bartenders (Mark and Tung) were even able to make a special tiki cocktail in a ceramic mug with different bitters and falernum I’d never heard of.

Be careful, Aperol Spritz wasn't on the menu, and in the end, a glass cost us €20. So, a total of €40 for two Aperols. Either we were scammed, or something is seriously wrong. When we asked, the waitress said it was fine. Never again!

A cool cocktail bar with class without being stuffy. The bartender knows his craft and makes every drink with precision. Background music sets the mood, though the lighting could be a bit softer. The mojito was perfectly balanced. A place where you'll want to stay for another round.

Came for the cocktails and stayed for the staff. We tried 2 of the genever flights, it’s not for the faint of heart. I am a gin lover but this took some getting used to, but it is a must try.

My wife and I happened to chance upon this place during our recent visit to Amsterdam. Great service, awesome atmosphere, and the cocktails will knock your socks off. Try the New Amsterdam cocktail. You won't regret it.

The quality of the cocktails and the excellent service fully justify the price point. This is a place where they care about what they serve, and how they serve it. A lot of thought has gone into every element of the experience, yet it's not stiff, but very relaxed. Also they chose a great shade of blue. Shoutout to Martijn for excellent service and recommendations.

What an intimate and high quality bar! You get free water (and refills!) and snacks, the menus are intuitive and the cocktails are very creative - although I do recommend just getting a Genever pure. We were served by Martijn, who was not only quick on his feet, but also able to recommend the right Genever and tell us something about every drink. Highly recommended!

Warm and quality welcome. The menu is extensive, but the waitress is always happy to help you find the right cocktail. The decor is nice.

Bald Italian guy, named Luca, was a bit intimidating, but after we had the pleasure of getting his cocktails and recommendations we loved every sip of this fine drink master at this lovely small gem in Amsterdam.

A pleasant surprise, but as soon as we entered, we were greeted by the Italian bartender who explained the cocktails in detail, giving us the best recommendations. Beautiful place, delicious cocktails, and fantastic staff. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I decided to have a drink and each chose a cocktail from the menu. We hadn't noticed that the drink was jenever-based, something we normally don't like, but we wanted to give it a try anyway. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't to our liking. We realized this was our own choice and just wanted to pay and leave without making a fuss. To our surprise, however, the bartender became angry and irritated when he noticed we weren't enjoying the drinks. He continued to react in an awkward manner, making us feel very unwelcome. We ended up leaving within seconds because the atmosphere became so unpleasant. It was a shame about the evening. We didn't have a problem with the cocktails themselves, but the way they were handled made the experience very unpleasant. Hospitality is just as important as the drinks menu.

It's my first time trying Genever. It leaves a memory of Amsterdam, so fresh and clear. The espresso martini is sweet, and a rare bitterness remains. The bartender with blue hair is so lovely and nice, giving advice and answering questions patiently.

Fantastic intimate cocktail bar! Staff were so genuinely friendly! Everyone welcomed us as soon as we went through the door. We chose a table at the back of the bar but the guy came and invited us to a much better location which was great! The cocktail menu was HUGE and with many unique cocktails and types of Genever. Again, staff were more than willing to offer advice and recommendations. None disappointed!! Had a great atmosphere and would definitely return!

I'm grading this on a curve with high expectations for a top-flight bar. I thought the drinks were solid, but with better options in Amsterdam (Bar 27) I can't give it top marks. The seat (near the bathroom) was also slanted, with minor details being overlooked. Overall a high quality experience in the red light district for cocktails, but a step behind the best in class for Amsterdam.

Expert baristas who gave great recommendations to two cocktail hobbyists who had never tried genever before :) also were happy to talk to us and let us taste different types. If you're a cocktail or spirit enthusiast, this is well worth a visit. Thanks!

Nice cocktails but unfortunately we were treated very strangely by the staff who gave strange remarks. I like and regularly go to cocktail bars but I think I will skip this one next time.

Nous avons été déçu de notre venu dans ce bar. En effet, nous sommes très bien reçus mais donc "bloqués" par l'hospitalité. Nous avons été surprises par le rapport quantité/prix (60€ pour 4 verres dont 1 sans alcool). Irish Coffee, qui ne ressemble pas à un irish coffee. Je recommande d'y aller que si vous recherchez des alcools spécifiques.

Pretty nice inside! Super cozy decor. Cocktails were great! This was the best espresso martini I’ve probably ever had. Special shout out to the girl with blue hair who worked there. They were so patient and helpful in making the right drink choices for what we liked. So pleasant!

The drinks were great, although quite expensive even for Amsterdam standards. Didn't try any food. One thing that bothered me a lot was the implementation of obligatory tipping choice when paying with card, with minimum 10% tip over an already very expensive menu. Why are Dutch bars and restaurants, especially in Amsterdam, trying to incorporate the worst aspect of American culture into Dutch culture? Please stop trying to make tipping culture happen in this country. US and NL are not the same and this behavior is gross in a country where dealing with massive inflation is seriously problematic already. People will tip without this pushy American system but the difference is that they will feel much better about it in the end.

The person who served us was so lovely and the cocktails were fantastic! I picked the "melting pot" cocktail and I thought it was an amazing mix of flavours. You can tell there is a lot of thought and love poured (pardon the pun!) into the menu. I will definitely return when I'm back in Amsterdam!
