It's very popular and charming! The unexpected surprises abound. The food isn't anything exceptional. The service was very friendly. The atmosphere is lovely!

Sometimes very noisy due to the open terrace and loud visitors. Not a "cozy" spot.

A very nice restaurant in a wonderful location overlooking the harbors and passing ships. The food is good and plentiful, making it highly recommended. To aid digestion, it's a good idea to walk to the Woudagemaal and visit it.

Nice and pleasant spot by the water in Lemmer at Tacozijl. Beautiful view of the water where there is always something to see and do. Friendly staff and many nice spots with a view of the water and the harbor. We had coffee with some treats and sat relaxing on the terrace.

We were there yesterday with friends. I ordered four drinks: two large Heineken glasses, which were very well chilled 👍🏻; one aperitif was debatable – it was missing ice cubes, but that wasn't a big deal; and one coffee was wrong. It was supposed to be delivered to our table, but after reminding the same waitress three times, it arrived lukewarm. We were actually planning to order some food, but that didn't happen because our second drink order arrived. When they put down the two large Heineken glasses meant for us, the third one, which was for another table, was completely spilled all over me. My polo pants were soaked from top to bottom. The waitress apologized and brought me a serving dish, and that was it. I usually give generous tips, but I refrained from doing so this time, even though I got a free tip on my shirt. I don't know if I should risk it again 🙈

A generally solid restaurant. Location is key. The food is okay. I've had better and worse.

All praise to the super-friendly staff. The location is also top-notch. Very cool, too, with the extensive terrace by the water. The food, however, was a bit disappointing. Not the quantity, but the taste. Salmon tartare (very fresh, admittedly), but requiring pepper just to get it somewhat flavorful. Mussels (a generous quantity, but cooked in sambal, among other things, which meant the mussels at the bottom were too spicy). And finally, the Dame Blanche, where the chocolate sauce was served as a decorative stripe over the ice cream. We received an extra bowl of chocolate sauce upon request. But by the time this was served, the ice cream had almost melted. We have eaten here often in the past and it was really great then. So this was a shame.

The spare ribs were incredibly delicious! Amazing location with a view of the water! Even though it was very, very crowded, both the drinks and the food arrived quickly. The waitresses were really efficient and very friendly.

We ended up here on our first evening in Lemmer. We sat on the terrace and were served quickly. The food arrived fast and was really tasty. So, top-notch. Because of the positive experience, we decided to go back to De Eerste Aanleg on the second evening. That was a completely different experience. We had to wait more than an hour for our food. After half an hour, we asked if something might have gone wrong. The waitress went to check, but then we heard nothing and sat waiting for another half hour. The staff walked right past us and just acted as if we didn't exist. When the food finally arrived, we expressed our dissatisfaction. This was met with a fierce reaction, showing no understanding or empathy. The guests around us, who had ordered at roughly the same time as us, had already finished their food or had even left by then. We were subsequently asked if we wanted to be offered a drink, but we didn't want that at that moment. We quickly finished our food and left. Nothing was done about the bill; we paid the full amount. Things can always go wrong in a restaurant once in a while, but then you make sure to resolve it properly. With good communication. And you certainly don't get into arguments with guests. And make sure you *see* your guests instead of ignoring them. I found it a disheartening experience. Scandalous.

Worthless, we made a reservation, we arrived an hour in advance but we didn't get anything to eat. We simply weren't served! I approached the wait staff twice hoping to place an order but to no avail! We had imagined our visit to Lemmer differently!!!

A very nice restaurant right on the water. All the boats sailing towards Lemmer pass by here. The snacks we had were tasty.

Beautiful location by the water, prompt and friendly service. The veggie burger was rather tasteless, the fries were delicious and crispy, but the lettuce was partly squashed and not entirely fresh. Moreover, the dressing was very sweet. Nice location.

Absolutely beautiful. I don't see this restaurant as being connected to the disappointing Tacozijl campsite. Highly recommended – the food and service were truly excellent.

Cycling to Lemmer, and then a lovely lunch at De Eerste Aanleg. We both had a different sandwich; I had the Teriyaki sandwich, and Renske had the Zuiderzee sandwich.... Both sandwiches were generously filled and delicious. With a Weisner to go with it, I thoroughly enjoyed it.....

Such a nice place to eat and enjoy the beautiful view. The restaurant is surrounded by water, and you hear absolutely no noise—a very pleasant atmosphere. We had two appetizers (the soup of the day and gambas) and the Angus Beef Burger as our main course. Although the restaurant was busy, we were served very politely and promptly throughout our visit. Highly recommended! 👍

The service really deserved another star! Unfortunately, I can't choose one. We were there on Easter Sunday, the place was packed, but the service was still very attentive and never intrusive! A fantastic team – this is how dining out should be!

This is a very cozy restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Upon arrival, it appears to be closed, but if you drive to the back by the water, you can park your car and reach the entrance via the large terrace along the water. The staff is very friendly. The food is excellent and plentiful. Reservations are recommended, as there's limited seating inside.

Our restaurant in Lemmer, where our boat is moored. For six years, it's been our go-to place for great food, fantastic service, and varied evenings. It's not just about sailing; we also watch football, celebrate, and eat great food. My husband's favorite dish is the steak, and I have the catch of the day.

This eatery, located in a marina, boasts a beautiful waterfront setting. They have a large terrace, which is especially pleasant during the summer months. The fried eggs I had here for lunch were delicious, and I highly recommend them.

We were at this restaurant today at 12:30. According to Google Maps, it should have been open. There was a light on inside, but the door was locked. So the opening hours don't seem to be correct.

We stayed at the Sporthotel and had always wanted to go there, and this time we finally made it happen. Very friendly and attentive staff greeted and escorted us. My wife had delicious pasta with pesto, and I had a burger. Our dog was served a bowl of water without asking. It's in a beautiful and quiet location by the water, which was very relaxing. The price/performance ratio was good, and we will definitely be back. Thank you very much.

The location is very beautiful. We always enjoy coming here once a year. The staff is friendly, and the food and value for money are top-notch.

I found the staff very unfriendly. They raised my hand two or three times and were noticed, but they just walked on to other customers. I also found the hygiene on the terrace to be poor. We ordered a bottle of wine and received two dirty glasses and a wine that costs 1.60 on the internet and was 25 euros here. A nice sweet wine, but not rubbish. The food was good.

Great location. We ordered two beers at the bar. It was obvious that it would take a while, as the place was packed. After asking several times and an hour later, we still hadn't had one. The service was unfortunately abysmal, so we left.

First, I'd like to highlight the location. Beautifully situated by the water. The food was fantastic. Not only was the taste outstanding, but the selection of dishes also exceeded my highest expectations. The presentation of the dishes was also a feast for the eyes. It's good value for money. I would happily eat there again. Even the children's plates are really good, with a rich and varied menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our first experience at De Eerste Aanleg: We thought we were ordering a delicious fried schnitzel, but we were sorely disappointed. It was good meat, but the kitchen messed it up. It was deep-fried and arrived at the table, covered in grease. It was a real shame. The service was also terrible. Very functional, not a single word more, and to finally pay, we went inside to the bar. There too, no further explanation: "Where were you?" or the amount. This was our first and, unfortunately, last time.

It's suggested you can moor there to eat something. This is only allowed with a very small boat. We had a small sailboat and wanted to eat something with four people. We were turned away because we weren't allowed to moor there. The boat (10 meters) was too big. Well, goodbye🙋‍♀️

Upon arrival, we were surprised by the beautiful new terrace, complete with lovely furniture. What a wonderful addition to an already lovely restaurant. We come here once a year from Gelderland, specifically for lunch and boat watching. A wonderful 12 hours, and the staff are always friendly. Until next time.

A super, super nice location in Lemmer – the food is excellent and the staff is always friendly. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it's hardly worth it. On weekends, it's best to make a reservation during peak times; it's almost always full.

Ondanks dat niet alle tafels bezet waren op het terras. Waardoor het terras een beetje druk is, vergeten ze gewoon je opgenomen bestelling door te zetten naar de keuken. Na een klein uurtje navraag bij de serveerster kom je hier achter. Foutje kan gebeuren. Hoe dan ? Alles is in een Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) ingevoerd. Wilt u wit of bruin brood? Ongelooflijk raar. 🤔

The reservation service was terrible. Despite the signage, the staff couldn't remember you and claimed it was off-shift, even though you booked the table with that person yourself! Sad...

I was there on May 26, 2025, and I was pleasantly surprised. Friendly service and really good food at a reasonable price by Dutch standards. I'll definitely be back.

Je moet wel even 'doorbijten' want bij aankomst kijk je tegen een verloederde keet aan - blijkt dat je achterom moet lopen om het eettentje te vinden. Dan kom je terecht in een laagdrempelig plekje met leuk uitzicht en prima eten.

It's cold outside, or rather icy and the water is partially frozen - inside the fireplace is burning. Apple tart with whipped cream - the cake is steaming, the cream is decorated with fruit - a culinary delight. The schnitzel with side dishes such as fries, some vegetables, extra red cabbage, salad - not only looks good, but also tastes very good. The service - have been there a lot now and have always received friendly and quick service. Value for money - 5 out of 5 from me and applause. Of course you don't get anything for free, but the prices are just good. The location - okay, anyone who comes to Lemmer for the first time won't see it straight away because it's just not in the city. A 5 minute drive from the city, but the drive is worth it. Conclusion - once you get to know it, you'll love coming back again and again.
