The food was delicious. The farmer's schnitzel was excellent: generously sized, crispy, and served with a generous amount of stir-fried vegetables (and bacon bits). The tenderloin steaks my wife ordered were delicious, and the side dishes—salad and fries—were also very tasty. All in all, a wonderful meal for a good price. We highly recommend this restaurant!

I popped in for a cup of coffee on the terrace. The staff was friendly, but the €2.60 latte was a bit different than I'd hoped. Small and watery. I asked if this was actually the latte, and it was. The €3.50 latte machiatto (spelled as on the menu) was better in terms of proportions. So, a total of €6.10 for a mediocre cup.

Ontzettend lekker gegeten. Hele leuke bediening. We lagen daar met de boot en mochten gebruik maken van hun gigantische eenhoorn in het water. Waar zie je dat nog. Zo gastvrij en goed van vertrouwen. Groeten Jan

Bistro Fred has become our go-to spot for a nice lunch. My wife and I come here regularly, and it is always a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and you feel welcome immediately. The food always tastes good, the portions are more than sufficient, and we have never left hungry. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable for what you get, which is certainly a plus these days. All in all, a cozy lunch spot with tasty food, good service, and excellent value for money. We will definitely be coming back here often!

Plattedijk 20ACycling to Lemmer, and then a lovely lunch at De Eerste Aanleg. We both had a different sandwich; I had the Teriyaki sandwich, and Renske had the Zuiderzee sandwich.... Both sandwiches were generously filled and delicious. With a Weisner to go with it, I thoroughly enjoyed it.....

Kortestreek 13I enjoyed one of the best hamburgers ever in peace and quiet. Unlimited fries with a delicious truffle mayo on the side! We were also well served by friendly ladies; all in all, a top-notch experience!!
