I enjoyed one of the best hamburgers ever in peace and quiet. Unlimited fries with a delicious truffle mayo on the side! We were also well served by friendly ladies; all in all, a top-notch experience!!

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food 💛

We arrived there last Sunday around 9:00 PM and took a seat outside on the terrace. After about 10 minutes, a waitress came to ask what we wanted to order. 2 Afligem 0.0 and something to eat. A beer was possible, but food was no longer an option because the kitchen was closing. "Then we'll be done quickly," I said. This place to eat and drink is open until 11:00 PM, which is truly ridiculous.

Service was very poor. They often stood by the doorway and didn't look around. It took a long time before they came by. Otherwise, the food was fine and it was a nice spot by the water.

Nice shop, but you don't get much for your money. An expensive shop.

We visited FEM on Monday. There were plenty of free tables. The service was super friendly and we received our food very quickly. My Caesar salad had beef and tasted "just average," which is to say, too expensive for what it was; I expected much more at that price. The fish soup, however, was absolutely delicious with lots of crab and mussels. My husband loved it...

We had a delicious meal; the terrace by the canal added to the atmosphere. The service was also very well taken care of. We will definitely go here again.

Very good food. Choices are somewhat limited but there should be something for everyone on the menu. For non-locals: there is no hint that *every* meal automatically comes with (excellent) fries… a bit weird for southerners to have those served with a lasagna ;-). What stood out was the really perfect and friendly service - not obtrusive and multi-language, there when you need someone. And we were lucky to have a good background music this evening, too :-). Recommendable place with nice ambiente and perfect location along the water for a stroll.

I have eaten at FEM several times by now, both before and after the recent renovation. This has given the restaurant a very unique vibe, with a warm yet hip atmosphere. The last time, I started with the delicious oysters (order the ones with apple and eel) paired with the fresh Verdejo, followed by a mix of starters: tuna tataki, carpaccio, burrata, beef tataki, and vegetable gyoza. Incredibly tasty: I ordered another tuna and beef. Top location, diverse dishes: more than worth it!

A very nice and pleasant place to grab a bite to eat in Lemmer. The service was very friendly and we were kept well informed to ensure everything was to our liking. The food was delicious, good fries! Beautiful decor and a warm atmosphere inside. Definitely recommended!

We got our starters, had to waited 40 minutes for our main, did not come. Mix up in the kitchen. In the mean time our orders were no longer possible (fish was sold out) so had to change. Waited another 25 minutes while tables left and right got their food. We decided to pay and leave to eat somewhere else. Besides a complimentary bottle of wine halfway no apology, no haste, nothing. Would not advise to go here.

We had a really, really delicious meal. May 2026: We've now been to this restaurant a total of four times, and once it was very good, once rather mediocre, and twice just okay. On our last visit, the appetizer was very small but expensive, and the schnitzel as a main course was also small and rather underwhelming. Our friends' fish didn't look very appetizing. However, the service was friendly again, and the wine was delicious. We didn't feel the value for money was good. April 2025: Dinner at Fem ann het Dok. The tomato soup, the beef tenderloin tips, and the Thai curry with prawns were all excellent and wonderfully prepared. Only the house red wine wasn't so good; so perhaps it's better to order a whole bottle next time ;-). We will certainly be back more often.

The building next door has now also been incorporated into the business, and it looks amazing! Friendly staff with great tables. The price for a village like Lemmer does lower the score, though. It is quite expensive, and that makes the menu a bit lackluster.

Fantastic restaurant and great service!

The service was extremely unfriendly. We ordered a charcuterie board and it cost 27 euros. This could most certainly not be called a charcuterie board. We spoke to the staff about this and received a very unpleasant response: “What do you want me to do about it then?” We did receive extra snacks for free, but this was not done in a pleasant manner. The staff also constantly stand in the doorway. A slice of Monchou cake even costs 7 euros here. The food was extremely expensive for what you get and there was no pleasant atmosphere. A very bad experience; I do not recommend this place. Brasserie 14, next to Fem, is much cozier and the service there is much nicer.

We had drinks here. We ordered a charcuterie board, among other things. It cost 27 euros, so we expected something. It was literally just a small plate with some cheese, 4 olives, some cold cuts, and crackers with a dip. And that for that price. Nice place, but prices are way, way too high. And not just for that charcuterie board.

Highly recommended. Right by the water, friendly staff, and the pokebowl is worth 6 stars.

The location was great, and the service was excellent (nice and friendly). There would be absolutely nothing to complain about if it weren't for the price of breakfast – see photo. €16 for four slices of (delicious) baguette, one egg, whipped butter, two slices of standard cheese, and some jam is far too much, even for me, as someone who is usually willing to pay a bit more. And that's without a drink. For me, a served breakfast costs no more than €10. With two coffees per person and some water, our bill for six people came to €165. For around €27 per person, one can expect more.

Everything was good. Food, service, wide selection of beer. Portions more than enough and nice and fresh. Keep up the good work!

Just paid a quick visit to Lemmer. This restaurant looked inviting, especially with nice and relaxed sofas. The service is nice and quick and friendly. We ordered a cup of coffee and tea; you get various choices with the tea. The pastry (lemon) was the best ever! Actually, it is a dessert. But it tasted delicious. The interior decor is very beautiful, modern, and neat. It exudes a lot of warmth.

Since December 2025, after a renovation, it has become a lovely and atmospheric place! What an expansion, beautiful. Lovely building! Very friendly service, delicious food! We sat and ate there—in March!—and had a wonderful time. Really worth it! Fem, congratulations on the beautiful expansion of your business in Lemmer, in a lovely location, and with great staff.

Very disappointing. Went here with a party of 7 for a quick drink and a snack platter, but the price-quality ratio is very disappointing. The "snack platter" turned out to be a plate the size of a breakfast dish with olives, slices of ham and sausage like you'd get for sandwiches, cubes of aged cheese, and a whole lot of crackers (which didn't match the size of the meat or cheese). On top of that came a small bowl with about 5 bitterballen (Dutch meatballs) and 4 half pieces of crispy chicken. And you pay 27 euros for that... in total, we were 133 euros poorer for 2 of these "snack platters", an extra bowl of bitterballen and chicken pieces, and 2 rounds of drinks. We even inquired if there were any vegetarian options available, but unfortunately, that was about it in terms of bites, they said. We did see sweet potato fries go by though... The staff was friendly, though. Unfortunately, we didn't think the atmosphere had really improved after the renovation either; it was a bit dark and lacking in color.

Really cool, tasty, and cozy spot. We were there at such a quiet time that nothing could go wrong. But it was really great.

What a wonderful experience! The combination just works here: delicious food, a great atmosphere, and staff who are enthusiastic. We ate the smashburger and the fish curry, both hits. The smashburger was done just as it should be, crispy and juicy. The fish curry was well-balanced, not too heavy. For dessert, the cheesecake, sweet bread, and espresso with ice cream were all perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is friendly and attentive without being pushy. Highly recommended!

For the prices charged here, we unfortunately didn't find it exceptional. The sole was served quite simply, with just a little lemon. The green curry was also far too spicy, while we normally enjoy spicy food. There are some nice wines on the menu, but unfortunately, the staff couldn't offer much information or advice about them. The atmosphere wasn't particularly impressive either. All in all, we found the price-quality ratio somewhat disappointing.

Reservations are highly recommended. We spontaneously reserved a table for lunch today. The reservation was handled very politely, and everything was served promptly. The appetizer (Camembert in a cast-iron skillet) was already delicious – but the main course, the Smash Burger, truly topped everything. The sauce was homemade, the brioche bun was lightly toasted, and the meat was of superb quality. The best burger we've had in a long time! The service from our server was also outstanding. We will definitely be back.

It's incredibly beautiful since the renovation. The atmosphere is still great, and the food is truly fantastic! We had another wonderful evening. Highly recommended if you're in Lemmer or the surrounding area and looking for a good restaurant.

There were four of us and we tried everything from each other. Starters: - Tuna: nothing special, 4.5 - Boa rendang, 6.5 - Pumpkin coconut soup: way too much, but tasty, 6 - Beef tataki: good, 7 Main course: - Rendang: very dry and completely flavorless, 3.5 - Beef tenderloin tips: excellent, 7.5 - Steak: good, 7 - Smash burger: this was the best of all... it was like a real Big Mac. 9 The atmosphere was mediocre, and at 10:00 PM, everyone from the kitchen came to sit at the bar in the restaurant, and the music turned off, even though they were open until midnight. It felt like we had to leave.

After the renovations were finished, my girlfriend and I immediately booked a New Year's Eve lunch. We were curious to see the result. The food is always good, as is the service. And the restaurant is so beautiful! A wonderful layout, a lovely atmosphere, and the same fantastic food we've been used to for years. Highly recommended!

Super friendly service; we had the same person all evening, which we really appreciated. We thought the interior was fantastic, which, combined with the candlelight, created a lovely atmosphere. The starters were good choices. I had the beef tataki, and it was a 10/10. A few main courses reminded me of pastries. We chose the tenderloin steaks, and they were delicious! You can really taste the quality of the meat. Desserts were mostly familiar varieties.

After a complete makeover, Lemmer has a new gem. What a charming restaurant with delicious dishes! Don't miss this one.

We rounded off the weekend with a visit to the Fem aan het Dok restaurant in Lemmer – and it was the perfect choice! The young team impressed us with fast, extremely friendly, and very efficient service. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and inviting; you immediately feel at home. The food was outstanding: creatively presented, perfectly balanced in flavor, and prepared primarily with regional products – you can taste the freshness and quality in every bite. A thoroughly enjoyable evening! We're already looking forward to our next visit.

A very cozy location, where we were able to enjoy a glass of wine on the quayside, even in the rain. The food was excellent and the menu was surprisingly interesting. The service was super friendly, and all in all, we had a wonderful evening.

The service was fine and the interior was okay, but at the current prices, I can't go here. Apple juice for your 3-year-old? €5.50! €5 for an apple juice, as if they were picking the apples and pressing them fresh right in front of you.

We had such a delicious meal. We often stop by for coffee, drinks, or lunch, and now we can finally make a reservation for dinner (we were always late, hahaha). And it was delicious again. The service was friendly! Juliana was fantastic. She joins in the jokes and comes to our table at the right moments. It was also great to see Fem helping out in the kitchen. It was a fantastic evening, and we highly recommend it. We drive all the way to Lemmer just for it.

The cappuccino was excellent. Smooth and flavorful. The apple pie was better than average, with a lovely creamy apple filling. The crust would have been better with butter. The lemon meringue had a crust that was too dry and hard. The lemon filling and topping were very tasty and refreshing.

We love good shredded meat croquettes. Unfortunately, not at Fem's. They were very greasy (both inside and out) and not enough meat.

The food was delicious. I highly recommend the tenderloin with port sauce!! The bread board beforehand was also truly delicious. The Monchou dessert was quite heavy. I would have added a layer of jam under the first layer to give it a bit more flavor. The service was okay, but sometimes it took a very long time for someone to come over, and there was little eye contact to signal, even though it wasn't even busy at the time. Otherwise, it was excellent.

We regularly come here for coffee and orange cake. ☕️🍰 The service is always friendly, the interior is beautiful, and what I especially love: the fresh flowers and candles on the table. 🌸🕯️ It creates a lovely atmosphere and a good mood. Definitely recommend trying the orange cake!

Restaurant & brasserie in the heart of Lämmer. They serve a good, and by Dutch standards, affordable breakfast. Very tasty. Located in an extension of the restaurant. You can sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle. Enjoy! 😉

We had a super delicious lunch! The sandwiches were large and generously filled! We had a carpaccio sandwich, chicken, and the lunch deal: a croquette sandwich with tuna salad and fillet. Everything was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended!

Great location, good food (a bit pricey), excellent service; the ladies worked tirelessly. The only disappointment was that the woman serving us didn't know anything about the wines and therefore couldn't give us any good advice. A shame! Otherwise, no negative experiences and definitely worth a visit.

Heerlijke nachos met veel kaas ui en lekkere sausjes! Maarrrrr. …. De Sangria kon alleen per kan , tjonge wat een goedkope plastic fles smaak. Geen spoor van sinaasappel! En de prijs!!!! Duidelijk verdienmodel! Maar slechte reclame voor je zaak, terwijl zelf Sangria maken heel makkelijk kan zijn.

Delicious food, also lost something precious which they kept well

When making the reservation, it wasn't clear that there was a modified menu. The food was mediocre. It lacked flavor. We sent the main course back. We were politely offered to choose something else. The place wasn't clean and tidy. But the manager remarked that we hadn't chosen the right evening because it was busy. I'd like to point out that that shouldn't matter. When you dine out, the overall experience should be perfect. That's what you pay for. And honestly, things can go wrong. But here, everything was so-so.

Food, service, indoor and outdoor tables were excellent. The ribs and Black Angus burger, especially.

20 juli 2025 Mooie locatie, uitzicht op de haven en de bootjes die langs varen. Helaas was onze bestelling 1 pokebowl met zalm en 1 pokebowl met tonijn een teleurstelling. Smakeloos en drijfnat. De bestelde chardonnay was prima en dat mag dan ook voor € 12,50 per glas.

Great coffee. The food was also good. However, neither the menu nor the service staff's recommendations indicated that some toppings would be charged extra, even though they were listed on the menu. The view of the canal is fantastic. The service was otherwise very friendly.

Pleasant staff, familiar with gluten intolerance. We both enjoyed our lunch very much, and we eagerly anticipate returning for dinner. The Irish coffee was made according to tradition, but the choice of glasses was mediocre. We rated this restaurant the best in Lemmer so far. That's completely in line with the reviews I had already read.

Goed gegeten, maar voelde me achteraf wel genaaid dat er €12,50 voor een Chardonnay gerekend wordt (in verhouding tot een Pinot Grigio van € 6,00). Hadden ze op zijn minst mogen zegen dat zo’n vaak gevraagd wijntje niet tot de “huiswijn” hoort. Zou sympathiek geweest zijn. Nu hou je toch een slechte bijsmaak over aan een goed etentje. Jammer en zeker (op de lange termijn naar je klanten) ) niet slim om dat zo te doen, want dit blijft toch in je achterhoofd zitten…

Delicious food, definitely recommended

Fem aan het Dok zit op een fantastische locatie aan de haven van Lemmer. Ziet er prima verzorgd uit en het bedienende personeel doet het geweldig. Ging daarheen mede door de goede dingen die we van vrienden hadden gehoord. Het was achteraf wel een beetje een teleurstelling mijn vrouw en hadden allebei een burger, zij een falafel en ik de kip. Maar het was een beetje smakeloos en fantasieloos. De uitjes op de burger waren rauw en niet een klein beetje gebakken of gekaramaliseerd. En de broodjes waren ook slappe witte bollen. Daarbij kregen we een leuk mandje met flink wat frietjes. Met een kleine salade waarbij de dressing wat karig was . Naar mijn mening was de prijs voor deze maaltijd niet in verhouding met de kwaliteit. Zou ik weer naar dit restaurant gaan? Nee ik denk het niet.

Order a glass of wine as usual Chardonnay and then charge €12.50 for one glass. When asked, the answer was that it was very good and the waitress thought we had looked at the menu. While we were drinking this (22.15) the entire terrace was already cleared. How cozy can you still have it then!!!

We had a great meal, the boat was right in front of the restaurant, luckily they still had the sole in stock, deliciously fried in butter, large and thick, the tenderloin slices were also great, the carpaccio was also great as a starter and then we had a coffee outside on the terrace, the service was friendly and attentive and if we come to Lemmer again we will definitely eat here again

They have a nice menu with beautiful dishes on paper. In reality, it is our own interpretation of classic dishes where you get very large portions that you would hardly finish if it were not so delicious. Definitely recommended for lunch after which you can take a walk 😊

What a fantastic experience my sister and I had last week! We had dinner with you and were both pleasantly surprised by the nice atmosphere. As stimulus-sensitive people, we appreciate quiet and cozy environments, and your restaurant certainly offered that. The food was truly excellent - plentiful and full of flavour! Every bite was a party. And what great service; the staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Compliments to the team! Unfortunately we had to leave before a concert, otherwise we would definitely have stayed for dessert. But that is a sign that we definitely want to come back here again. A true gift this evening! Thank you very much for the wonderful experience! Definitely recommended for everyone! 🌟

Schoonzus had gereserveerd ivm 25 jarig huwelijksjubileum, voor 6 personen. Bij aankomst werd ons gevraagd of we op de hoogte waren dat het voor 2 uurtjes was omdat onze tafel daarna voor anderen gereserveerd was. Voor mijn schoonzus was het 2 uur rijden, komen nl uit noord-Holland , dus dat viel rauw op ons dak. We besloten wat te drinken en daarna iets anders te zoeken om hun jubileum te vieren. We waren immers een avondje uit. Vervolgens bleef mijn broek hangen doordat een van de stoelen kapot was, resultaat een winkelhaak in mijn nieuwe broek. Kreeg geen andere stoel toegewezen en heb de stoel zelf maar ergens anders neergezet zodat een andere klant zich niet zou bezeren. Vervolgens kwam de serveerster de koffie brengen en viel het koekje op de brandende kaars, daardoor vlogen de vonken in de nek van mijn zwager. Het meisje toonde geen enkele empathie voor deze situatie, de eigenaar was er denk ik niet want er werd door niemand ingegrepen. Inmiddels waren wij er wel klaar mee. Ik heb mijn telefoonnummer achter gelaten ivm mijn broek en ze beloofden mij terug te bellen….dit moet nog gebeuren. Ik kom hier dus niet meer, erg jammer want het zag er qua sfeer gezellig uit.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and super nice staff!

We hebben heerlijk gegeten, mijn geitenkaassalade was verrukkelijk en mijn man zijn ossenhaaspuntjes ook. De ravioli van mijn dochter was ook heerlijk, net als het kippetje van mijn moeder. Kortom het eten geweldig, de bediening attent, de locatie waar wij zaten was echt niet fijn. Op een hoge tafel vlakbij de deur naar de keuken, niet heel rustig.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten in dit gezellige restaurant aan het dok van Lemmer met een hele goede en gastvrije service. De vlees specialiteit was heerlijk.

Had a delicious 5 course Christmas dinner, nice cozy small dining room. The smooth and friendly service is a plus, the open kitchen looks neat, in short, a great restaurant.

Gister een diner geboekt bij Fem. Al eerder hier geweest maar niet op de avond. Hele fijne ambiance en super snel met het uitleveren van eten. Altijd fijn als je gewerkt hebt en zin hebt in een maaltijd :) Vriendelijk personeel en goed eten!

Mediocre dish. In the past I was happy to give it 5 stars and I thought Fem was one of the best lunchrooms I knew. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated since the lunch menu was updated. Too bad, for 36 euros I would be better off having lunch somewhere else.
