Lovely spot by the harbor, and through the orangery, a beautiful, peaceful spot by the water. Very hip inside the orangery too! Had a tasty salad and friendly service.

A different kind of restaurant with very friendly staff. The price for my meal wasn't right. I had cauliflower schnitzel. The half head of cauliflower was still very raw and therefore tough. The other ingredients on the plate tasted quite good. But almost 22 euros for that? No way. My husband's meal was quite good. Maybe the cake is better. But the atmosphere was great.

We arrived for lunch. We were asked what we would like to drink, and we indicated that we would also like to see the lunch menu since it wasn't on the table and we really wanted to see it. "Yes, I'll bring that right away, but what would you like to drink?" (came across as demanding). "Two cappuccinos and the lunch menu, please." 12 minutes later, the cappuccinos finally arrived at the table, without the lunch menu. "Oh, I'll just get the lunch menu." Waiting 15 minutes for a lunch menu and 12 minutes for a cappuccino... the lunch menu was quite pricey too: Caesar salad €17.50 and fried egg €13.95. We decided to leave because this was taking too long for lunch; by then it was 2:20 PM.

An atmospheric location in the marina of Joure. With an excellent menu and friendly service.

Beautiful location, peaceful surroundings, the food was mainly plentiful. I had a carpaccio sandwich, which unfortunately wasn't very tasty. I had a fresh orange juice with my carpaccio, from which I fished out 3 fruit flies. There was a 4th one swimming around in it, so I just asked for a new one. I received one, without fruit flies this time. The staff were very friendly and efficient. For the location and the atmosphere, I would definitely recommend De Oranjerie.

The braised beef was Michelin-worthy! Had a super delicious meal, nice atmosphere, especially in the greenhouse where you sit among the palm trees.

We ate there today and didn't know what to expect. The ambiance, the service, and especially the food were absolutely superb. It was almost Michelin-star quality. Huge praise to the entire team. It couldn't have been better.

Great place, fast service, concise menu, a bit pricey, but delicious. My wife's burger was a little too rare for her taste; perhaps they should ask customers how they'd like it cooked beforehand. Otherwise, everyone was full and satisfied.

A lovely restaurant in the Joure marina. You can sit outside overlooking the park or inside in the orangery. The prices are rather high, but the food is really good.

We had fish (sea bass and salmon). Let me put it this way: I have had (significantly) better. The taste was bland. It was served neatly presented, though; that is not the issue. All in all, as far as I am concerned, it does not offer the right price-quality ratio.

Nice place near the harbor. We have been here twice for lunch. The lunch was good. The staff are friendly. We were served quickly. Near the center; a short walk and you are in the shopping street.

I have never been served such a bad Caesar Salad; the lettuce had brown edges, there was one thin slice of bacon mixed in, the chicken tasted bad, and the presentation was just a small soup bowl with a horrible sauce. I left it untouched, but I still had to pay 17.50. This is not recommended. Incidentally, I saw a member of the kitchen staff coming out of the toilet without washing his hands; outside, the cooks are standing around smoking next to the terrace. The service was also bad; we received salads for 3 people and 10 minutes later a hot dish for 1 of us. With apologies, because they thought it was 3 starters. In short: bad service, bad food, and above all, unhygienic. So don't go, even though it looks cozy. Too expensive and bad for what you get. I did let them know that I was dissatisfied, but nothing was done about it.

What a wonderful experience at this place in Joure. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail and the atmosphere was incredibly pleasant. The food was truly fantastic. The dessert plate in particular, with the various small cake cubes, fresh fruit, and beautifully presented garnish, was a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. We really enjoyed a carefree meal here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality and flavorful evening out.

First thing in the morning, we enjoyed a nice coffee with cake. The start of our bike tour was good accommodation, right by the mooring area for yachts and boats. A pleasant hustle and bustle. We had a bite to eat in the evening, which was also enjoyable.

Our mother's birthday party, celebrated with family and friends, as she turned 97. Beautiful location, relaxed, customer-friendly, and a cozy atmosphere! We had an excellent package suited to the party, and everyone enjoyed themselves and had a delicious meal.

Arrived here for a late lunch/snack, first sat at a table for quite a while where previous guests' lunch was still on the table. This is understandable, of course, but after the waitstaff had walked past at least 6 times with empty hands, it was finally taken away. Ordered drinks and asked for a menu... first only half of our drinks arrived, no menu... then the rest of the drinks arrived but still no menu... when we finally got the menu, we just gestured ourselves to order something: bitterballen with mayo and nachos without sauces. The food arrived quickly, but still nachos with sauce, and she came to ask if we wanted it after all; we don't like the sauces so we would get new nachos. We also asked for the mayo because there was mustard with the bitterballen. Eventually, with the bitterballen almost finished, the nachos arrived with the mayo. The taste was fine, though there were few nachos for that price... all in all, I think there is still a lot of room for improvement here regarding the service!

We held our wedding here in June; manager Peter is very helpful, open to suggestions, and reliably honors agreements. We had a wonderful day and couldn't have wished for anything better. Good food and a pleasant atmosphere. Compliments to everyone working there. We will definitely be back for a bite to eat or a drink!

Very beautiful location. Especially inside the Orangery. Very atmospheric with large plants and lamps. The interior is cozy. Perfect for hosting a party! Unfortunately, the staff doesn't listen very well to the customer's wishes, which was a bit of a shame. Otherwise, I had a nice cappuccino with a delicious piece of cake.

Booked with a group, spacious layout, children could move around freely, service was good, and the food was delicious. A truly different menu than average; they must have a good chef. One thing to keep in mind: if someone doesn't have a dish, serve a plate with potatoes or fries with vegetables.

We will be back! 13/04/2025 we have been again! Nice sitting outside. I had the feeling that the menu had been shortened a bit (lunch). Not bad. Had a burrata. Have to say this one disappointed me. A piece of bread that was on the small side. I didn't really feel like I'd had enough. The burrata itself was enough for two sandwiches. Perhaps this can be adjusted.

Good to eat, not very special but tasty

The atmosphere is good and the service was very friendly, which is a big compliment. But the food? This was downright ridiculous. We sent the steak back twice and it was still not OK. After indicating this, there was no response from the kitchen, which is a shame. Once again the girls at the service were great. Kitchen was nothing to write home about! They didn't even come to seek redress. They didn't say anything, so no class, unfortunately.

I went there with a big group of colleagues for our team event. The restaurant was nice and Friendly. They arranged for 3 course meal for us with plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The staff was super friendly to help. The toilets were clean. The ambience inside the restaurant is amazing. They also have a terrace so you can sit outside on a sunny day. It is not very far from the city center

During this cruise I moored in the port of Joure. Here you can have a nice coke, drink or other snacks or other drinks. It is good and you can sit comfortably around the building.

The Orangerie at the marina in Joure has 2 seating areas: outside on the terrace and in the orangerie, a kind of large conservatory. It gets warm quickly under all the glass. The service is friendly. Unfortunately, it takes quite a while before you get the food on the table. The quality is good. No cheap slices of bread. The mayonnaise seems to be home-made and the little lettuce that comes with the dishes is fresh and with a fresh dressing. Bacon is fried crispy and the salmon has a good structure. This is not a top restaurant but it is fine for the price.

Delicious food. Beautiful location to sit. For both dinner and lunch. Part of the restaurant is in a greenhouse/courtyard garden with plants. Outside there is a large terrace with a pond. Also suitable for parties and celebrations...

We hebben heerlijk gegeten. De tomaat-paprika soep en zeebaars was zeker een aanrader. Gezellige sfeer in de Orangerie.

Leuk restaurant aan de haven. Verderop genoeg parkeerplaats. Leuke botanische sfeer. Eten, in ons geval een High Tea, ruim voldoende.

Haben heute dort spontan gegessen. Super liebe Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen (unter anderem vegan!) und Preise waren auch angemessen. Es gab sogar einen Spielebereich für Kinder. Top!

Prachtige overdekte binnentuin, waar je heerlijk kunt lunchen of koffie/thee kunt nemen. Heerlijk eigengemaakt gebak! Er is ook een heel groot buitenterras. Aan het loket ook lekker ijs te bestellen om ter plekke op te eten. Er hangt een gemoedelijke sfeer. Vlakbij het water/haven en het gemeentehuis. Eigenlijk aan het eind van de winkelstraat in Joure verder doorlopen naar de haven. Betaald parkeren vlakbij of gratis achter de AH en dan eerst door de winkelstraat.

Lekkere lunch genoten op een gezellig terras. Fijne bediening en goed eten. Een aanrader de pastrami burger. Wij komen graag nog eens terug.

Leuke binnentuin! Eten was ok, Rendang was beetje flauw qua smaken.

Leuke en gezellige sfeer. Heerlijk gegeten. Porties zijn precies goed. Vriendelijk personeel. Er werd netjes gevraagd of ook toe waren aan het hoofdgerecht. Drankjes worden niet opgedrongen. Met de gemiddelde prijzen in een restaurant vandaag de dag ook zeker niet aan de dure kant.

Het eten en de sfeer was prima, helaas was de biefstuk wel koud aangekomen aan de tafel en randje rare gebakken terwijl ik medium had besteld. Ook was het lastig de bediening te vragen om extra friet, ze keken niet echt om zich heen je moest ze echt roepen.

De gamba’s waren heerlijk, de salade vers. Het is een unieke plek om te eten, midden in het dorp Joure en midden in de haven. Ik was getuige van de vorige recensie. Als er een fout wordt gemaakt door het personeel geef ze dan ook een kans om het te herstellen. Er werd meerdere malen excuses gemaakt en u werd een compensatie aangeboden. Maar weglopen en een lager bedrag op tafel leggen, nee dat is chique. En dan ook deze recensie schrijven. Het was een zeer warme, drukke dag. Begrip was op zijn plaats geweest. De keuken is heerlijk, de bediening voorkomend. Ik kom er graag en blijf er absoluut komen.

Prachtige exotische locatie bij Jachthaven. Een exotische kas, zorgt voor een realistische omgeving. Het eten was perfect. Voor de eerste keer hier geweest, en zeker niet de laatste keer.

Sfeervolle ruimte met bijzondere serre en terras aan een meertje. Vriendelijke bediening. Een bezoek zeker waard.

Lekker, gesellich en goed holpen. Dik ynoarder.

Van de aankleding moeten ze het hebben. Wij hadden een tafel in de serre die goed gevuld is met planten en mooi ingericht. Dat was dan ook het enige positieve aan deze avond. De mediterraanse borrelplank was inspiratieloos, met plakjes vlees die zo uit de verpakking kwamen en het niet erg hygiënische bakje met tientallen prikkertjes voor de paar blokjes kaas en vier olijven. Omdat het veel te veel was, hebben we het een en ander moeten laten staan. De plank werd pas opgehaald nadat we het ver aan de rand van de tafel hadden gezet. Van het hoofdgerecht hebben we maar een paar happen genomen. De spareribs waren koud en moesten opgewarmd worden. De tweede portie was ook niet heel heet. De meat glaze was veel te zoekt, waardoor er niets meer van de spareribs te proeven was. De roti was eveneens een drama. Gemaakt met haricots verts in plaats van kousenband en droge volkoren wraps in plaats van rotivellen. De krieltjes waren niet gaar en de zoete aardappel was niet te proeven. De smaak van de enorme plakken augurk trok door tot ver in de rest van het gerecht. Als ik graag een bord augurken had gegeten had ik dat wel besteld. De bediening was storend. Omdat ze niet met caste wijken werkten, werd ons meerdere keren vlak achter elkaar gevraagd of we nog wat wilden drinken. We hadden net iets besteld bij een andere medewerker. Al met al een groot viasco. Erg jammer, want de setting was veelbelovend.
