Bad service I called at least 8 times in half an hour. Every time you get a recorded message saying "there is 1 person waiting ahead of you," but no one answers. In the end, I couldn't get hold of anyone at all. Knowing that döner or chicken gives me diarrhea anyway, this was actually the only place that was still open. Fortunately, the neighbors *were* open. I will be avoiding this place from now on.

What a load of junk I just stuffed into my mouth; I got a bami disc that was flattened and a Mexican sandwich with mayo, but without a bun and without mayo. Unbelievable, they weren't friendly, and I could have built a wall with the döner pizza. And the small kapsalon was way too expensive.

Dirtiest pizza ever! So dry! Clearly not a fresh pizza. You can use it as a frisbee!!! If only I had read the reviews first. All the food straight into the trash!

Waited 2 hours for my order, called them up. "Yes, it's on its way, it'll be here within 15 minutes." After 30 minutes, still no one seen. Called them to say I was ordering from someone else, and they just casually said, "Yeah, no problem, bye." Don't order here, you wait way too long and they are very rude.

Guys! We place an order, and it just gets cancelled. No reason or anything. Then we want to call but that doesn't work either. We order from Mehtap often, but this was definitely the last time. You’ve lost me!

I ordered a pizza a while back and got into a complete adventure. Suddenly it dawned on me that I had forgotten to provide feedback.. The pizza arrived cold, as if it had made a stop in the freezer first. After a phone call about this, I was assisted by an employee who was clearly not hampered by any sense of customer friendliness. The pizza itself was a masterpiece of craftsmanship... if the intention was to bake a paving stone. So rock hard that you could easily have smashed a window with it. The next day I sat on the toilet with stomach cramps; there was at least 3 bar of pressure on it. I have no glaze left on my toilet bowl.

I asked the older man behind the counter for some garlic, and he got angry and refused. The food here is also disgusting, and there are rats running around. Avoid eating here if you don't want to get sick!

If I had given lower than 1 star, I would have done so; the food was so fucking disgusting and nothing but oil, and I had to throw up afterwards.

Worth 0 stars!!!! They forgot 10 cents in our kapsalon and our Ben & Jerry's menu. Then you call and they are rude; they don't want to come up with a solution and say that those 10 cents are normal in your food. And then they scream on the phone that they are crazy there.

Paid, never delivered. They are scamming people and are antisocial and aggressive on the phone (if you manage to reach them; they do their best to prevent this).

Inedible!! Actually scandalous to buy here at all! Grumpy little boy delivering. Never ordering anything here again! They don't read your description either and give you garlic sauce in a small sachet for which you pay an extra 1.-. 🤢 Your fork doesn't even pierce the fries, cheap junk. The order arrived cold too.

This is an exemplary place you should avoid. @smaakpolitie. If you are hungry late and only see Mehtap open, please make a toasted sandwich and satisfy your hunger, or just order elsewhere. I've warned you! ** place.

One star is already too many. The pide's dough is waaaaay too thick and salty!! And the filling (ground meat) is awful. A bit too much to make it look good. Shame on you for selling this as pide. Never again.

I ordered a pizza special tonno, but got a pizza with chicken (or something else, definitely not tuna). My father initially thought it was tuna and took a bite, but immediately said, "I don't think this is tuna." Because we weren't sure, I called the restaurant. The employee said he would send a new pizza. The delivery driver came and said he would be back in 10-15 minutes and brought the wrong pizza so they could see for themselves that it wasn't tuna. Two minutes later, the same delivery driver rang the doorbell again and said, "Ma'am, you ate the pizza." That's right, we tasted it to see what it was, which seems logical if you're not sure if it's tuna. Then the delivery driver rang the doorbell again and returned the pizza. God knows what he did with it in the meantime. We threw the pizza away to be safe. We were allowed to eat it now? I just wanted my tuna pizza, which I'd paid for. I called the restaurant again, and the employee started yelling at me. He said he couldn't sell the pizza anymore because it had already been eaten. This means he was planning to resell this pizza, which had already been to another customer's house, to someone else. Isn't that completely unsanitary and unacceptable? You don't know what a customer did with a pizza like that. To top it all off, we never received the correct pizza. This is absolutely unacceptable. I strongly advise against this restaurant.

I ordered food worth €18.54 during the night, but it never arrived. When I tried to call the store, they didn't answer. The next day I called to ask how and what, and they said they had tried to reach me, but I didn't answer. I received no calls. I called the store myself, and they didn't answer. They didn't take any initiative to resolve this or refund me. They responded rudely over the phone and hung up on me. I tried to resolve it politely so I wouldn't have to file a complaint through Thuisbezorgd, but apparently, they don't care. Think carefully before ordering during the night.

During difficult times as a young boy, I ate away my sorrows with the shawarma pizza with extra cheese and sambal. The owner became my best friend during that time. I can still taste the genuine love in the melting cheese that slides past my uvula. Pussies who complain about a delivery that's a few minutes late... this man deserves a statue right on Damstraat.

I've been coming here for years. It's the best place in all of Utrecht for a good old-fashioned shawarma and garlic sauce. I don't understand why they get bad reviews. Great atmosphere, best price-quality ratio.

Delicious food and fantastic service

Waited an hour and a half/two hours for our food. When we called and asked about it, it was all vague and came across as "like this", but unfortunately that was not the case. If it is too busy, you should not take as many orders or employ more people.

You can't get better than drunk pizza anywhere

While I'm always excited about new dining experiences, my recent experience with Turkish pizza was unfortunately not as expected. The taste was not balanced and the texture of the dough was too chewy, making it difficult to eat. The topping was also not distributed properly, which did not improve the overall taste experience. I understand that tastes differ, and this may have been an exception. Nevertheless, I hope that in the future more attention will be paid to the preparation and presentation, so that Turkish pizza offers a better experience for lovers of this dish. The atmosphere in Eethuis Mehtap will be great because you pay 11 euros per person for a mediocre Turkish pizza.

The food was cold and the staff had a very bad attitude.

Ordered a hair salon yesterday with adjustment time. They arrive 20 minutes early and I am not at home, I was given to guidance so I called and an apology was offered and a new one will come. It never came. Called again 2 hours later and have to call back today. No one answers anymore and I have lost a lot of money. I don't have enough money yet, it was just an exception.

Placed an order for shawarma, received half cooked durum. Called back and was deliberately not answered...ridiculous. Not worth repeating.

Food is amazing, idk why they charge some people different tho (…) and try bring more ,,customers’’. Besides that the service very fast and efficient. I liked the food really good taste and made how I wanted. Kinda recommend, maybe will come back (hopefully not by a taxi) :)

I hope this place closes. Bunch of money grabbers. Never received my order. Waited for hours. Called 100 times but no answer. It wasn't until the next day that I noticed something hanging on my door. I've been crying in the toilet for 2 hours, this food was so absurdly dirty, not normal, I don't recommend this to everyone, it may be the only thing open, but it's not worth the stomach ache, gaddddddamn, only criminals come, not safe for ladies either.

On the best of luck, I chose a chicken shawarma pizza. However, I have never felt so miserable after consuming food. I had an uneasy stomach all night, feeling like I was carrying an ocean full of acid inside me. I spent most of the next day sanitary. I will never come here again!

1 star is too much for you bunch of scammers, for one euro per person that is quite expensive so they steal money from customers as quickly as possible and have 0% understanding of providing service. They are very antisocial and lack understanding when it comes to service-oriented work.

I didn't want to give a star but yes here on Google Maps you have to give at least a star, which means that the food is nasty and sappy. It doesn't get any worse than this, the man with a cap thinks he is a mafia leader while he has nothing. He should actually start selling vegetables in the market, shouting.

Saved me and my family from a hungry grumpy walk! We were looking for anything to eat and everything else was closed :( Vegan version of a vegetarian pizza was full of veggies. The owner was very helpful and friendly despite none of us knowing any Dutch. Pizza was very nice and tasty for a quick fast food bar. I dare to say it was way better than a 13EUR pizza in a fancy restaurant.

Ordered a large Kapsalon Shawarma via home delivery around half past three at night. Should be delivered in about an hour. After a quarter of an hour I received a message that the order had been processed and 2 minutes later they called that the shawarma had unfortunately run out. Since it was Sunday night, I could understand that and I was given the choice between chicken shawarma or donner. I went for the chicken shawarma. Fifteen minutes later I was told that food was on its way and it arrived warm enough and was very tasty. Home delivery driver was a friendly young man. Have never had any bad experiences with Mehtap. Highly recommend them

They aren't even worth 1 star! 1. They don't handle customers well. you get scolded because they put something on your food that you didn't want on it. They won't make another one for you! 2. You pay double when you take a mix pizza, for example chicken/veal döner, the amount of which is the same if you ordered them separately! I would say go to another tent and avoid mehtap!

Don't order anything here if your doorbell doesn't work. They do not read the instructions on the receipt and therefore do not ring the doorbell. Even though I had called 3 times asking where my food was and they kept me waiting for 2 hours. When they finally went to look they said they had already been there (without following the receipt instructions to call me) and I could ''fool'' and they became aggressive. You don't have to count on solving errors or getting your money back.
